Postino - Review - Bryker Woods - Austin - The Infatuation

"This Arizona-based wine bar first expanded to Austin last year, with a location next to Paperboy on South Lamar. Now they’ve added a second location near 35th and MoPac with a similar menu of small plates, snacks, cheese and charcuterie boards, and, of course, wine. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Nicolai McCrary

Wine Bar Chain Postino Is Opening in Austin, Texas | Eater Austin

"I'm told Postino Wine Cafe will open a Bryker Woods location at 1612 West 35th Street sometime in 2025, bringing the chain's cafe-style approach to Austin. The menu and beverage program are expected to mirror the brand's usual offering: a global wine list focused on European, Pacific Northwest, Californian, South American, and Australian wines (no Texas), available by the glass or bottle, plus Texas beers, lemonades, palmers, coffee, and teas, and New American lunch and dinner dishes like panini, bruschetta boards, and salads. The chain began in 2009 under founders Lauren Bailey and Craig DeMarco with the Upward Projects group and already operates in other Texas cities such as Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio." - Nadia Chaudhury

The menu was so full of items we love!! We had to try several things and they were all fantastic. We started with the Olives and a Crispy Cauliflower, which had the most delicious Romesco sauce. So well balanced-kissed with sultana raisins and capers. Likely the BEST snacks items we’ve ever eaten! My dining partner chose Nick’s Board-NICK'S BOARD includes a warm soft pretzel, italian sausage, spanish pork link, creamy pimento cheese, spicy peruvian corn nut, sweety drop pepper, & packo pickle. It was a fairly conservative choice but ended up being the perfect choice for someone’s palate that prefers non spicy food! (however I must warn you the two pickle slices that were absolutely fabulous and had a heat level of about nine out of 10 were delicious as well)! Our host Michael, our server Ellie and the bartender Kira were all so special , & sweet and gave us incredibly good service. It was so nice to see such a variety of people all having a great time and enjoying themselves. Postino is definitely a solid addition to the eclectic variety of restaurants available in Austin. Thank you Postino for such a wonderful experience! I’ll definitely be back .

We stopped by Postino for some bruschetta and nonalcoholic drinks, and it was such a great experience! The variety they offer is impressive, especially with their vegetarian-friendly options. Each bruschetta had its own unique flavor — the artichoke spread was delicious, the French onion was rich and flavorful, and the classic mozzarella with tomato and basil was perfectly fresh. I especially loved the fig spread and apple butter combination — so unique and tasty! Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and fun to share. We’ll definitely be coming back again to try more.

Came here with reservation and seated at the round table with very cozy chair. Love! Came here with my son. This is the third Postino review for Yelp event I did! But this Postino has that classier cozier feel. We had the bruschetta board: choices---prosciutto, fig and mascarpione, smoked salmon with pesto, burrata, bacon arugula and tomato, fresh mozzarella with tomato and basil. Had the novia azul wine-smooth yet strong. We also ordered the smoked salmon board because this is one of my faves in Postino. Shout out to Matt as he was very pleasant---checked on us regularly. His service really made us feel at home! The notes you can write and stick on the wall was a nice touch. Clean restrooms with that almost Tuscan feel handwashing area. The lighting, food, wine and the service was superb. A little bit crowded---but not loud. Parking was not easy at peak times I gathered. Highly recommended:)

We stopped in for a weekday Happy Hour and had a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic. We had meatballs, mushroom fondue , and the salmon board. Small pitchers of beer are $6. I had a fantastic non -alcoholic rose that was fantastic. Our bartender Andrew was very friendly and made us feel right at home. We most certainly will be back soon. The vibe is really fun. There is an outdoor seating area when the weather cools down a bit. Plenty of parking too !

Google
We’re longtime Postino fans from when we first discovered them randomly in Arizona and have also popped into their South Lamar location in Austin. It's been super fun seeing them expand and try out all their locations across the states, so when they opened their new Bryker spot! And wow — they nailed it! The space is so cute and chic which is their typical theme across all locations. Its the perfect place for happy hour (which, btw, is still one of the best drink specials in town!). $6 glasses of wine and $6 Mini pitchers (basically 2 beers) everyday until 5pm! Our server Matt especially deserves a shoutout. EASILY one of THE BEST servers we’ve had — SUPER knowledgeable about the wine list, didn’t skip a beat when the wine I wanted was out, and even brought a couple of samples so I could pick a replacement I’d actually enjoy. That’s next-level service. We wanted to try some new bruschetta's we hadn't yet (outside of their salmon cause that one is straight a need in your life if you love pesto and cold smoked salmon) board we chose was: Mushroom Mascarpone (Man oh man, creamy earthy delicious!) French Onion (Holy crap this dropped our jaw) Elotes (good, but the hot sauce kinda took over) Salmon Pesto (A favorite because it's so fresh and balanced) Outside of the Elotes being a little too hot sauce forward, every single bite was phenomenal! The bread was so fluffy, all the flavors popped and were dangerously easy to chow down on! We had been eyeballing the OMG grilled cheese for a while now and finally decided to pull the trigger with a little modification. Matt recommended adding a chicken skewer inside cause he knew we were into all the protein and was a go to item for him. Adding the skewer made it more of a chicken sandwich then it feeling like a grilled cheese, but regardless it was super tasty, especially dunking it into the thick creamy tomato soup, so yes, the name fits. Overall: delicious food, great ambiance and place to socialize over fun snacks, some heartier plates, incredible wine options and of course an unbeatable happy hour, not to forget the standout service. We’d 1000% go back again.

Anthony, the waiter, is super friendly and creates a great atmosphere. They can get quite busy, but the parking is good. Bernie, the manager, is also really great. Honestly, I love Bernie’s energy from when I walked in the door because he called me Friend! Overall, it’s a place with good vibes and great people. It’s not my first go at Postino‘s but I definitely like to try different things on my board and again I was not disappointed. I also actually tried the potato and leek soup and now I’m a fan. I am already planning my office lunch there. Also, who has a problem with happy hour from 11 AM to 5 PM? Count me in!

Google
Postino is an amazing addition to Bryker Woods! Centrally located with a great atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot for wine, small bites, or a night out with friends. The food and wine selections are fantastic, and the vibe is both stylish and welcoming. Huge shoutout to Madeline for her outstanding service and to GM Bernie for making sure everything ran smoothly. The entire staff was friendly and attentive—truly an amazing team all around. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Google
We were able to swing by during their Happy Hour and sample the bruschetta board, cauliflower, and a few glasses of wine. The board was large enough and toasts were cut for sharing - we selected the artichoke, brie, mushroom, and pistachio - and they were all delish. As veg-forward folks we enjoyed the cauliflower too - the sauce was buffalo-leaning but creamier! And we had to try the donut dots - it wasn't anything too wild but was a fun treat at the end of our meal - piping hot donuts. The team works in groups and we always had someone stopping by to check on us. They were so kind about helping with a wine selection, too. We will be back. Tips: *plenty of parking *$25 bottle of wine + board Mondays and Tuesdays after 8pm *You can make a reservation. It wasn't too full at Happy Hour before 5, but was pretty full even on a Monday after 5pm

Yelp
Had the greatest experience because of Matt. He had the best recommendation and amazing service. Would definitely come back just to have him again as a server!

Yelp
I was stood up on a date so the Postino staff and my waitress, Alicia made sure that I didn't go home empty-handed. Thank you for brightening my day.

Yelp
Best happy hour! $6 pitcher of beer and glass of wine! Can't beat! Staff is amazing!! Sparkling rose is great!

Yelp
Postino is a charming spot located along 35th St! There's a parking lot right out front, which is really convenient. We came on a Sunday around 11:15 am and were seated pretty much immediately. The restaurant interior is modern and spacious, with lots of natural light that created a refreshing ambiance. Our server was also very attentive in checking on us throughout the meal. Prosciutto & Brie Panini ($16, 4.5/5) - Classic combination of savory with some sweetness! Features prosciutto, brie, fig jam, arugula, with side of romaine salad or potato chips. The arugula adds just a bit of bitterness to balance everything out. - You can choose between ciabatta and focaccia - we went with focaccia which was delicious! - On the pricier end for a sandwich but the ingredients are very fresh. Overall, would recommend checking out Postino! Great location, service, and solid food. Looking forward to coming back & trying other items on the menu.

Yelp
Our meal at Postino was an absolute delight, perfect for sharing and trying a wide range of flavors. Big shout out to Madeline who was our incredible host during our Saturday brunch here. One of the guests in our party is gluten sensitive, and she was able to accommodate and gave us great gluten-free options recommendations. We started with the Skewers from the Snacks menu, which was truly amazing and set a high bar for the rest of the meal. Skewers came with both beef filet mignon cut and white chicken; both were seasoned and booked to perfection. Very moist and paired well with the garlicy and tangy yogurt sauce. The main event was the bruschetta board. We ordered five different kinds, all came with gluten free bread (great gluten free bread compare to others we've tried) : - The smoked salmon was elegant and fresh. - The prosciutto with fig and mascarpone was a perfect sweet and savory combination. It was our favorite of the 5. - The French onion was a rich and comforting classic. I somehow expected a little bit more from the simple dish, so I was underwhelmed. - The burrata with bacon, tomato, and arugula offered a creamy yet refreshing bite. - We of course had to go with the chef's choice " Mexican corn", which was a creative and delicious surprise. It has a bit of a kick as you can expect. Not your traditional bruschetta as you expect so order with an open mind and palette. We also appreciated that the kids' menu offers. My son had the Grilled Cheese, which was a big step up from the usual and he loved it. Bread is thin and crunchy. It comes with fruits and incredible chips. They also offer amazing happy hour for their wine by the glass or by the bottles! Glad we gave it a try and would definitely come back.

Yelp
I love postino and every time I come here I am reminded how much I enjoy it! The wine cult membership is no longer around. It's now bottle club I believe. They offer more options for people who wanted more variety. The club is well Worth the money. You get a few discounts and some cute items when joining the club (wine tote, wine stoppers, etc). I ordered bruschetta to go after work when I picked up my bottles and had amazing service from the people working (front check in table and manager). I can't wait to go back so I can try more of the menu!

Yelp
Relaxing dim ambiance was a nice touch to dining and the friendly informed staff was excellent. They have a bar area and spacious dining but yet the place isn't huge and I like that. Parking is small but we found parking right away and we went on a late friday night. Food was served in a timely manner and was all so good. I had the bruschetta board. You can choose four types. I got the apple with brie, prosciutto, mozzarella with tomato and spicy pepper jam. We also ordered the OMG grilled cheese that comes with tomato soup. For dessert we had the donut holes but I call them an elevated funnel cake balls that weren't too sweet and so soft; they came with 3 dips. I definitely recommend this place and will return to try more to try. They have happy hour deals and a board & wine deal on mon and tues.

Yelp
I am a fan of Postino's. Compared to the Lamar location, this location has free parking, which is a bonus. The dining space is also larger. I already fell in love with their mushroom fondue on my first visit, so I already knew I couldn't go a visit without it. We also had 2 bruschetta boards with a variety of toppings and everything was delicious. The high rise sauv blanc is light and crisp. It did take a hot minute for the food to come out, but it was worth it. Our server was kind and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Let's see: Postino is what you'd expect from the current wave of "social dining" spots: it's airy, industrial but cozy, with a patio for when Texas weather decides to be cooperative. The wine list isn't mind-blowing, but the Antioch Red Zinfandel stole the show for me. It's fruit-forward and honestly the only red I'd go back for when dealing with "by the glass" options on the menu. Onto the bruschetta board: my options were (you get four) the artichoke, the Caprese , the date & pistachio with ricotta, and the mushroom with mascarpone. Flavor? Super solid. Everything you would expect from the combinations of flavors they put together. The caprese one could have used a balsamic drizzle or something, but I enjoyed my selections. The presentation, though? Tame. A little boring. And I'm used to sliced ciabatta for bruschetta, but the sort of rustic country bread slices they use are hearty and they hold up nicely to the toppings. Just know each slice of toast is very petite... then it's cut even smaller for sharing. Translation: don't come starving. Come to socialize and be cute. What I paid for: the potato leek soup was divine. It was creamy and savory with a lovely hit of caramelized onions. The hazelnut/peanut mousse bar was cute. It's made for more "solo indulgence" than for sharing because it is SO so small...which sucks cause it could be a good sexy sharable dessert for date nights but that size won't cut it Crushed hazelnuts on top would have also been nice. Parking? Slimmer than Kendall Jenner. Get creative and find spots adjacent or around the area during busy hours. They have quite a few spots to offer the public but this place is way too popular for the limited number of spaces. Happy Hour: this ends at 5:00 pm sharp. BOOOOOOO!!!! You know most of us get off at 5pm, right? Don't do that. People need at least an hour or two of extension time before dinner. Cmon. Be nice and extend happy hour. You're only going to make MORE MONEY with it. Shoutout to Madeline, my server. She was attentive, warm, and on point. And kudos to the sweet host with the long curly chestnut hair. Both made the night even better. Overall, Postino is a good option for late-night light bites, date nights, or a casual glass of wine and catching up with friends and S/Os.

Yelp
Absolutely an amazing experience once again. I love that the parking lot looks packed, but the restaurant was not. There's plenty of parking space for everyone and the staff was so kind. The ambience and the atmosphere of this particular location I did like. It felt a little more intimate than the other location. The staff was extremely nice and so kind. I love my bubbly and I ordered a few more along with of course, providing a tip. I can't wait to take my friends here for some glass of wine before five so that we can celebrate and enjoy life together drinking on a budget. The food was also tasty as ever. I have some picky friends, but I think they would do OK here. I look forward to coming back and ordering more food and just enjoying the atmosphere.

Yelp
This was my first time eating at a Postino's, and it was a wonderful experience! First win: plenty of handicap parking near the entrance. (Small detail, huge difference.) The friendly hostess greeted us right away and seated us immediately (we did have a reservation). The place looks great -- cool artwork. One thing I really loved was their community server system--it made us feel well cared for. We had Jo as our server, and honestly, she deserves a five-star review. She was funny, friendly, and knew the food and wine list like she wrote it. Our drinks never hit empty -- which, let's be real, is the true sign of greatness. Now the food... Out of the bruschetta lineup, the chef's street corn stole my heart. No, really. If it doesn't make the permanent menu, I might cry. We also got Nick's Board (total yumminess) and the OMG Grilled Cheese with tomato soup dip, which had me saying exactly that: OMG. I had absolutely no room left for dessert, so I took their doughnut holes to go. Reheated days later, they were still very tasty! My husband liked the wine, and we basically ate and drank ourselves into fat happiness. Bottom line: great food, great people, great vibes. Postino's is officially on our regular rotation.

Yelp
Our first time here. We really liked the atmosphere and enjoyed our visit but there are a couple things that I think they can improve upon. The room is somewhat loud, but not excessive. We had a glass of wine and bruschetta board, Meatballs and goat cheese appetizer, and the Italian beef dip panini. Service was friendly and attentive at first, but our server was extremely quiet and we had a hard time hearing him. After our food arrived, we didn't see him again for a very long time. When we were ready to leave, we still had to wait about 10 minutes before we saw him to get our check and to go containers. We ordered two glasses of wine. My choice was the Stage Dive Pinot Noir. Unfortunately, my dining companion had to order 4 different wines because they were out of his first three choices. Onto the food. The meatballs were the best dish we had. The meatballs were nice and tasty, and the sauce was delicious. The dish arrived in an iron skillet and was very warm but could have been hotter. The Bruschetta Board was good, too, but they had to remake one of the bruschetta because it was dropped in the kitchen. The sweet and spicy pepper jam could have been spicier. The most disappointing item was the Italian beef dip. The meat and au jus were barely above room temp, and the bread was cold. Pictures look as though it's a grilled hot sandwich, but it was not. I'm not sure if it's their intention to serve this cold, but it was not appetizing. This meal could have easily been a high 4, low 5 star rating, but temperature issues and not having a full wine list on a Saturday night are really not acceptable. Fix those issues, and this place can be a fun and delicious destination

Yelp
Been to the South Lamar location and was excited to check out their second location! No parking garage this time, but they still serve the same delicious bruschettas and drinks. The French onion bruschetta actually didn't appeal to me but once I tried it, this was the absolute best! I'm so glad we got this one. If there is only one you MUST try, it's the French onion. Hazelnut bar for dessert. This was realllly sweet. It's like ferrero rocher on top of chocolate. Not for me. Bruschettas are amazing though and I will be back!!
google avatar

Diane T.

Yelp
I did the bruschetta board and wine for lunch and it was absolutely amazing. The wine is only $6 a glass until 5 pm, which is so dangerous. They also have a late night special of $25 for a bruschetta board and a bottle of wine on Monday/Tuesday after 8 pm. Bruschetta board - * prosciutto, fig, mascarpone - my favorite * Smoked salmon and pesto - perfect brunch * Burrata, bacon, arugula, tomato - ok but a bit too much tomato to taste the burrata * Mexican street corn (chefs special) - really unique with a nice kick The bruschetta is cut into 4 pieces each so is fantastic for sharing. Service is fantastic and everyone is super friendly and attentive. In particular, Bernie was super welcoming. Plenty of seating inside and a chill ambiance. There's a small parking lot in front that definitely will fill up though during busy times, so I'd get here early or later in the evening.

Yelp
Love! Ive been here a few times now and it's been consistent. This restaurant is a little bigger than the previous one I've been to and the vibes are so nice inside. I would consider this a place for light bites and sandwiches. The board was overall really good and the sandwich had a lot of meat in it. I really liked that it came with fries or a salad too. Prickly pear lemonade is good, I definitely want to come back for some wine. Staff was really nice and friendly, no complaints here.

Yelp
I felt so spoiled being here! Every single thing we ordered was absolutely incredible. The fillet and chicken skewers with the tzatziki sauce was absolute flavor burst. The shrimp scampi was very different from what I expected because there was no garlic butter sauce to dip my bread into, but it was still really good. The donut holes with the chocolate and caramel sauce were absolute melt in your mouth and last, but not the least that Bruschetta board was absolutely phenomenal. We got the smoked salmon, the date pistachio, the tomato mozzarella, and the fig apple and they were all absolutely amazing. Our servers were so fun and amazing! They learned that it was my friend's birthday and got us a free birthday dessert. They also really made it a point to check on us every 10 minutes, which was very kind. The space was also absolutely adorable! I will definitely come back here

Yelp
Postino is among my top restaurants in Austin. I usually go to their South Lamar location, and I was happy to find this new location. The quality is the same. The bruschetta board is a must. Every flavor is good. I come back to Postino only because of the bruschetta board. Wine selection is extensive, but I'm not a wine expert so I can't comment much.
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for our yelp elite event. Our waiter Adrian was very nice and welcoming. We each got drinks and 4 bruschettas each. We are vegetarians, so we got the vegetarian bruschettas (everything in the bruschetta menu that had no meat ) Everything was very tasty, fresh ingredients and well toasted bread. I loved every single one, except the mushroom one, that was a little too salty for my liking. But overall, it was a really pleasant visit here, will definitely come back to try other stuff on their menu!!

Yelp
Postino on 35th is new and it's already a hit. Happy hour is unbeatable with $24 bottles of wine and $6 glasses every day until 5 PM even on Sundays. Came in Friday late afternoon and Amiri at the bar crushed it with service and hospitality, friendly, quick, and spot on with wine recommendations. The charcuterie board was fresh, generous, and a perfect pairing. Great spot to end the week with good wine, tasty bites, and top notch service. Can't sit to come back and try more bites! Also, a great laptop/work posting up spot!!

Yelp
This was such a fun restaurant, and the staff is SO friendly. Beautiful interior, gorgeous food, and great vibes. My friend and I were able to visit for a foodie event, and we tried their bruschetta board and got a great sweet wine recommendation. It's such a nice touch that they cut each bruschetta piece into 4 equal pieces for easy sharing because it is quite a lot for one person to eat. Favorites were the apple + brie and pistachios + ricotta. I would definitely come back again to try their other food items!

Yelp
Amazing customer service! The bread board was so delicious and all of the servers were so experienced and offered so much information on their food! The wine was delicious! It is definitely a nice intimate place to have conversation, the lighting was dark and even though we were sitting next to other people it felt like we were alone!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my boyfriend and we both loved it here! We split the Italian beef dip on focaccia and a bruschetta board and everything was fantastic. The meat in the beef dip was so tender and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the brie paired with it. The au jus was yummy and flavorful and really pulled everything together. We also really enjoyed the bruschetta board and appreciated that they cut each one into four strips so it made sharing very easy. The service here was great and the restaurant itself was very cute with a nice patio as well.

Yelp
I was definitely very much looking forward to coming here, however, at the corner of Jefferson and 35th, I was thinking there would not be much parking, but that's not the case here. There's over 30 spaces to choose from and plenty of handicap parking. This restaurant/bar occupies the space of a former Burger King. Postino's definitely makes much better use of the space. Inside you'll find plenty of comfortable seating making your stay that much more enjoyable. Normally, I'm not a big bruschetta fan, but this place changed my mind. The first thing that jumps out at you is how absolutely fresh and well made everything is. They must spend a small fortune on their fresh produce, especially the tomatoes. I paired my four bruschetta choices up with a nice Gruner Veltliner, but they also have beer on draft and mixed drinks. After the bruschetta, I decided on their crunchy hazelnut bar for dessert which was very decadent. This place has everything going for it, great food, extensive wine list, exceptional service, nice vibe, parking, decent prices and comfortable seating. With that kind of formula, they should be around for a long time to come. Check out the informative photos.

Yelp
The girls and I came here to indulge in their "Board + Bottle" night: a board of bruschetta and a bottle of wine for $25 after 8 PM on Monday and Tuesday. We came on a Monday right at 8pm and it was packed, but we did have a reservation and were promptly seated and taken care of. Our server was very attentive and friendly, giving us space to look at the menu and offering recommendations. I wish I remembered his name but he said he worked at the Postino up in Dallas and I could tell he was very familiar with the brand. I ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio from Italy and a board with the "French Onion" "Smoked Salmon & Pesto" "Burrata, Bacon, & Arugula" and the "Chef's Choice" (which was hummus and bruschetta). I would order the Burrata one and Salmon one again, the brie on the French Onion was quite overwhelming for me, but the taste was good when I took off the brie. I can't wait to come back! I love this location way more than South lamar. Parking is free and the interior of this place is gorgeous and spacious.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for some drinks and a bite to eat on my bday. It's a really nice wine bar with a chill atmosphere. The only con I would say is the lack of parking in their limited parking lot. Luckily I was able to find street parking near by so it's not a big deal. They have a pretty interesting food menu with a big selection of bruschetta. We got the bruschetta board, skewers and shrimp scampi to share. Everything we had was delicious and the staff even brought out a dessert on the house cause it was my birthday. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back again.

Yelp
Postino is a cute spot with excellent bruschetta options! As a girl who loves cheese and bread, the choose 4 bruschetta board was my dream come true lol. The service was excellent with attentive servers who recommended a lovely wine pairing based on our preference! Would definitely come back and try their other dishes.

Yelp
This is another super cute location for Postino. They have a lot for ample parking and close to bus stops. There is bar seating and plenty of indoor and patio seating. The happy hours and specials are nice and affordable. They also offer catering. I sat inside and enjoyed talking to the very friendly wait staff. The bruschetta is fabulous. My new favorite is the French onion. My salad and soup were both so good. I recommend this spot for lunch happy hour or dinner.

Yelp
Postino is always a good choice. I've gone to the location on South Lamar and was excited to check out this new location and wasn't disappointed. We love going Tuesday for the bottle and board deal. It's such a good deal for the amount you get and it's perfect for a group. We had a great time and we had great service!

Yelp
We went to brunch to this place. There are ample parking spaces. The entrance looks nice. Our receiving host was very friendly and she sat us down promptly. We started with mimosas. They were very delicious and strong. The bruschetta board was amazing. My favorite was the apple fig jam and cheese. The meatballs were heavenly. Our server Ellie took care of us really well and was very attentive and nice. Overall this place is amazing and I will be back for sure!

Yelp
Enjoyed the cushioned swivel chair with seating for four. Yelp Elites are trying out this location for bruschetta and wine. Our server Janna was outstanding. She brought me a few tasters of the wine. The chardonnay on the reserve list was a little tart, but not lemon forward. It had a slight buttery taste and no oak. The Pinot noir was light and slightly fruity. I opted for the cab sauv. It was dry, flavorful, and slightly bitter. The gluten free bruschetta was delicious. A thick, crunchy bread. They had plenty of options for gf and df allergies. One person got the Table Cheese board and enjoyed it. Parking was easy here with a parking lot in front of the restaurant. You could go very casual or dressy at this location. The seating varies. Decor is fun and 70's, somewhat luxe.

Yelp
The mozzarella bread was AMAZING. Cheese and tomato delicious. The Mexican street corn was insanely flavorful it was the chef special when I visited. The smoked salmon is packed with punching flavor (yum). And pistachio was not my instant favorite HOWEVER I took it home for leftover and it marinated so well overnight. Definitely an Emma Chamberlain overnight sauce moment. Lol. Servers were attentive and the atmosphere was dark and yellow night vibe felt like I was in a Pretty Little Liars/Vampire Diaries scene. Chefs kiss!

Yelp
A-MAZING! Service, ambiance, food, people! My new favorite place. From the friendly hostess, to the attentive and articulate bartender Xi to the fantastic menu selection, and thoughtful manager, everything was five stars and a most enjoyable experience.

Yelp
I don't know if my experience at Postino was a weird one off based on the reviews here, but a friend and I went last night at 7:15 and the visit was terrible- for many reasons, but the number one reason was the service. I'll cover the food quickly because honestly- not much to talk about. We got the mushroom fondue which is actually really good. Except they give you a big deep cup of it and 4 measly strips of bread to dip in. Those barely scooped like a third of the cup. And when they OFFER you more bread- they upcharge you TWO DOLLARS FOR THREE LITTLE STRIPS!! Nothing aggravates me more than when restaurants offer patrons something, then charge them without notating "that's a small upcharge, is that okay?". We then split the italian beef panini. It was a couple pieces of unseasoned beef, non melted cheese, and plain bread with a cup of au jus. Nothing was hot, melted, or toasted. When we were sat, we were sat indoors in the big dining room, at a two top that was in the far front corner, against the wall that's glass that I think can be raised in nice weather. Apparently, this table is in a weird blind spot vortex of the dining room that no Postino worker can see. It's like we were invisible. The dining room was about 40% full and it appeared that only one blond woman was working the whole room. So we sat. and waited. and waited. and after about 10-15 mins she greeted us and informed us this is a service team model- meaning, anyone essentially could help us aka basically everyone is your waiter. Which is fine....if there was more than one server. The dining room was beginning to fill up at this point, and we ordered drinks and she took off. Someone else, the first person I had seen besides her working the room, dropped off our drinks and ran off so fast I had only gotten the words "we're read-" of we are ready to order out before they were long gone. So we sat. And in that time watched the original blond server go to every table. Multiple times. Refused to look in our corner, walk near, or respond to the unbreaking eye contact I was trying ot make with her. In this time, th table three tables down got sat, got drinks and HAD FOOD and we hadn;t had anyone to take our order. I was about to get up when finally i flagged her down and she was almost surprised we wanted to order food? (when we had told her already we wanted to get a board). So we order. THe food comes out quickly, so okay, that's nice. And that was it. Drinks were empty. Water was empty. No one checked back, or asked for refills. When she finally came back at the end of the meal she asked if we wanted more bread for the queso and we said yes and she took off. And we sat. TWENTY ONE MINUTES LATER I had absolutely had it and I wanted the check. I had to get up and walk to the bar where the other gentleman who appeared to be a server was standing there, yucking it up with the bartender. It was only after he got our check that our bread arrived- WITH AN UPCHARGE we were uniformed of when she offered us more bread! To top it off, we were there as part of a yelp special, and the guy didnt show us a copy of the check and just rang my card (I was so pissed I wasn't listening to the total) and then we realized they had not removed the proper items from our bill so thank goodness we had asked for a box- it forced him to return to the table so I could get a credit back to my card. Absolutely abysmal. Maybe this team model works elsewhere, but I find when everyone owns everything, essentially, no one owns anything. That coupled with sticking us in a bizarre invisible table equalled some of the worst service ever. She wasn't even friendly! There are far, FAR too many places in this city to want to return to that treatment. WE were there for 2 hours for NO REASON. It's worth noting I have been to the south location and had a very pleasant experience. But this one isn't it- esp when the food can't justify the experience.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood, Postino! My friends and I decided to check it out on a Thursday evening and the parking lot was full! We found free street parking and was told there was a 40 minute wait for inside seating, but the bar is first come first serve, and the outdoor patio had no wait. The inside looked spacious and well decorated. Comfy. We decided it to rough it in the heat. They have plenty of umbrellas, but no fans. 2 of us keep mini fans in our purse so that helped. Service was very friendly and our water cups stayed refreshed. We ordered a toast board which is a great price for 4 different bruschettas, only $17.50 and they have so many options. We were able to do 2 gluten free breads and 2 regular breads. We could not choose a favorite, they were all so different, fresh, and flavorful. We also ordered the crisped cauliflower which was great, not deep fried but just crisped on the outside. We ordered the raspberry chicken salad and did not expect it to be half lettuce, half chicken salad! Maybe we didn't read it right, but oh well it was still very tasty. The olive oil cake was the perfect finisher to a grazing, girl dinner! It seems like they have a nice happy hour with $6 wines and drinks, but no food on the happy hour menu yet. They offer a lot of different wines, cocktails, mocktails, and lemonade/teas. When we left, we got coupons for $25 bottle of wine + a board, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
I loved the South Lamar location so much that I had to come to the North location. Parking is ample, and free compared to the South Lamar location. I ordered a gluten free OMG grilled cheese with a side of tomato bisque soup because it's my favorite! It reminds me of my childhood growing up on Kraft American singles and Campbell's tomato soup, but elevated. I requested no brie because I can only eat low or no cow lactose cheeses now. The grilled cheese contained gruyere (no lactose), goat cheese, and white cheddar (low lactose). Their customer service is really good. The manager asked how my food was. For some reason, the first batch of soup I had was too spicy or peppery with a kick. Even my husband thought it had a kick. So the manager brought out a second bowl for free. The second bowl of tomato soup was on point just as he said. Delicious!

Yelp
This place has a lot of potential they've done a beautiful job with the decor, however, being there at 7 o'clock on a Thursday, it was so loud we had to yell to be heard. The music was blaring completely SO unnecessarily. The food was basically average .....nothing special. Our waiter kept disappearing, and we ended up clearing our own plates by putting them on the table next to us. At the end, we couldn't even find him .... He had basically disappeared literally. Basically, it's nice to have a place like this in central Austin, but I think there are things they need to address in order for it to be a hit. I imagine sitting on the patio and back would've been much nicer in different weather. Would highly recommend them turning the music down as the surfaces are all hard and so the sound vibrates everywhere

Yelp
I read the reviews and learned two things that didn't surprise me when I went to the restaurant. It was exceptionally loud. Also, the menu is very bread heavy. The food was good, but not extraordinary or even out of the ordinary. Service was good and friendly. I would say that their charcuterie boards might be the best thing on the menu and perhaps come during happy hour would be a good idea.

Yelp
This is the second time my boyfriend and I come to this location in Austin and the ambiance and service is simply UNMATCHED!! Chloe attended us this time around and had incredible wine suggestions for us. Her and the staff around are always so kind and welcoming from the very beginning! We can't wait to make this a go-to date spot for us!

Yelp
I really hate to be the first 3 star review here, but I care a lot about food and quality restaurants, and I live in Bryker Woods, and so I really want this restaurant to be all that it can be! My wife and two of our kids (1 middle, 1 high school) went in for dinner on Friday August 8th. I know they were newly opened, and so very busy, but WOW was it LOUD. I'm not super sensitive on this front but it was not super enjoyable. Later in the dinner a few tables around us cleared out and the noise was a bit more tolerable. With hard surfaces all around, they would do well to apply some insulation to the ceiling or something. I saw multiple customers there that were acquaintances of mine from the neighborhood. One of them had two small children and had to keep rotating time walking outside with them as it was too noisy for their family to enjoy the inside. Given that this location was newly opened, there was no shortage of staff.. if anything, people checking in with us probably every 3-4 minutes was almost overbearing, but still it's better than being neglected. Here is the piece that pushes me down to 3 starts, however... their menu is very bread-heavy. And this is me as a carb-loving, gluten-friendly person. Give me a pastry any day and I love it! But at dinner, I want more than paninis and bruschetta. I was pretty disappointed about the scant options for dinner entrees without a heavy bread component, though the small plates and starters looked good. (I tried the mushroom/cheese fondue which was a little too spicy and very rich, so not sure about that one). Just didn't feel like a very balanced menu. Only 2 salad options as well, if I recall. Given that they have many locations and a common menu across them, I'm not overly optimistic about their ability to pivot there quickly, but I sure wish they would adjust the menu (or add some new items to the menu). I'm pulling for this place, but hope that more people will give some of this feedback so that they can adjust!

Yelp
All was so GOOD!l, especially their bruschetta board. I loved the brownie dessert. Our server, Sakena was super attentive and sweet! Made sure we were happy with our food, stayed on top of our wine throughout dinner. Had amazing suggestions. Their happy hour deal is great! Would 100% recommend!

Yelp
My best friend and I stopped here to celebrate with a glass of wine after getting the news that she had beaten cancer after 5 years and happened upon the grand opening! Andrew, Amia, (bartenders) and Bernie (GM) were some of the kindest and most compassionate people. We were so impressed by their thoughtfulness, and how above and beyond they went to make her (our) incredible day even better. I will be back very soon (and maybe a regular WATCH OUT!) We already loved Postino from the South Lamar location. The people make this place stand out. The highest of recommendations to give it a try! The meatballs and goat cheese are what dreams are made of. Happy hour is an amazing deal!
