This meal blew my boyfriends mind. And mine. Jesus wow. I live in Koreatown, and I eat Korean food on the daily, but this is reinterpreted Korean food with gastronimcal whimsy - see ice cream burger below. If you're looking for an underrated restaurant with a taste value of a high michelin starred restaurant , go here

Eclectic Korean American restaurant. Great cocktails. If you love spicy food, you'll love POT at the Line Hotel.

I've been to this restaurant once and shared a hot pot with some friends. It was pretty tasty for my first authentic korean hot pot. I'm not sure I'd have the same dish if I went on my own with my BF, but I'd definitely go back and try a new dish. The prices weren't bad and the vibe was chill and kinda cool. Lots of people taking selfies with their food and pics with the owner. The seating was cool, but not a lot of room with things on the table top. Make a reservation before you go, I'm pretty sure we did that because it's a popular spot, if not try and get there early. If there's a wait, you can always grab a drink in the lobby. Parking wasn't bad - I found street parking right in front of the hotel (it's okay to park after 6pm and not a lot of people notice that right away).

Vaporwave styled dining room with a solid cocktail list and a selection of sharable dishes, from the signature hot pots to seafood to fancy vegetables. Good for groups, and the table for 12 next to us seemed to enjoy it. Service was good, if a touch distracted. Parking is expensive! And the lobby bar (also good) has a different cocktail menu, so maybe run out for an extra?

It's really a overhyped, westernized take on traditional comfort food. There is much better in the neighborhood, but you would need a Korean insider to know where to go and what to order. Otherwise, the food is decent, but personally not worth the price. And you miss out on the atmosphere of a real Korean restaurant by coming here.

Roy Choi's fancy Korean restaurant, located inside the line hotel. Food was good but not great, also the portion is kinda small for the price. This place isn't cheap. uni dynamite $18, kimchi fried rice $10 and small bulgogi and noodle soup $37, dumplings $9. Yup, $80 for 4 small dishes.

Saw POT listed as a LA essential restaurant (from laist), so I thought I would come try it. Unfortunately, the food was much too expensive for what you get in terms of portions and flavors. I think perhaps this restaurant is more of a bridge between Korean and non-korean palettes, so for those looking for true Korean flavors...best to try somewhere else.

NOPE. Sorry, Roy Choi, I was never a fan of your restaurants and my experience at POT definitely did not change my mind. Our group of 4 came here on a Saturday night and were told that there would be a 30-40 min wait. We ended up waiting for about 1 hour and 20 minutes. They gave us a complimentary order of dumplings to make up for the wait but then they charged us for it!! They took it off after we asked them about it though. FOOD: We got 2 pots, the one with ramen and the one with kimchi. Both tasted VERY similar, but with different ingredients. They used instant ramen, spam and little smoked sausages in the ramen pot i.e. stuff I can buy from the store and throw into a broth myself. The kimchi pot was so sad and lonely - barely any ingredients in it and the pork belly was pure fat. Both broths were SO SALTY. I kept drinking the barley tea to wash the salt down. I'm glad we didn't pay for the dumplings since you only get 5 and the best thing we ate was the kimchi fried rice.\ SERVICE: Our server Debbie was very friendly and nice, checked on us several times but the food came out slowly and the newspaper menus are actually really annoying. VENUE/PARKING: In the lobby of the Line Hotel, which is the new hot spot for trendsters and the Asian crowd. When we left at 11pm, the place had turned into a lounge/club with DJ and a line to get in. Please. It's a bar in a hotel lobby. Parking is $8 valet with validation but I found street parking a block away without any problem. Will not be back.
