Second time I get Zapps jalapeño chips and they taste terrible and not the way they are suppose to taste. It’s only this location I get bad chips. Don’t know if it’s a bad batch or the way they store them. Taste like pork rhinds.

My first and my last time ever coming back to this location, add avocado to my tuna I had everything no tomatoes or mayo. Got to my car to eat my sandwich no avocado on the sandwich but was charged for it, so I went back so I can get my receipt And they can fix my sandwich since I was charged for avocado and I didn’t get mustard either so I let them know to put mustard on the sandwich. Got the sandwich and still NO MUSTARD on the sandwich. Manager on duty was very rude, it’s not my fault they do not listen. Poor experience at this location

I ordered a Turkey sandwich. It could have very well been someone else's sandwich. Only two of the toppings were correct. The young lady at the register seemed bothered to take the order.

It's the first time I go to a Potbelly's and I was nit disappointed. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the cashier, who BTW, had a great energy to her. She took our order and made us feel welcome. I got the same feeling as when I walk into a nice restaurat and the hostess greet us and walk us to a table except this was at potbelly's. The restaurant was clean and it had a nice atmosphere and a almost rustic decor with great art on the wall. Now let's talk about the food. I had the chicken club with all the fixings and I added some avocado for good measure. Boy did I made the right decision. As soon as I took a the first bite I tasted an explosion of different flavors. Form the fresh backed bread to the Applewood smoke bacon. The veggies were fresh and the avocado delicious and cremy as a fresh avocado should taste. The bacon was crispy and you could really taste the apple wood. I was not a fan of the pickles. Those tasted like cafeteria can pickles. But the rest of the sandwich made up for it. Good bye subway, hello Potbelly !

I've come here a few times and most of the time the employees are happy to talk to and are relaxed. This last time I came to get a tuna sandwich and it was done just right with hot peppers to give it a bit of a kick. The milk shakes are also good and they come with a cookie. As for the location, it's clean for the most part and had plenty of seats to choose from. I also like that the place has parking and is free. Out of all the sandwiches I like the chicken one the most. And out of the shakes I like the Oreo cookie. You can also enjoy the sandwich with chips and a soda if that is your preference of course. And when you are feel like having a salad they have them too.

I purchased the meatball and the pizza sub. Both were well made and delicious. Their Mac and cheese is also great very rich in cheddar flavor. Very clean and organized restaurant. Great customer service.

Google
I honestly don't know how they messed up my order so bad. I ordered two sandwiches. The first one they got right, but the second one was no where near what I ordered. I ordered a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and seasoning. I got home and it had mayo, mustard, hot peppers, onion, and pickles???? Please listen and do better next time:/

Google
TLTR: expect half to one slice of meat. I can only rate the food since we ordered for delivery. This is our second time ordering from this location and I'm really disappointed in the lack of meat. My first time was the same (yesterday), so I selected light on everything so they can compensate with the turkey slices. Didn't make a difference. I guess I got a veggie sandwich 😒 I recommend a different location. Don't know which, but not this one.

Fame L.

Yelp
Instructions need to be followed. Ordered 3 turkey and cheese subs and every one of them were dry and didn't include mayonnaise or oil and vinegar. I really hate when I buy something then get home and the food ain't right.

Yelp
Potbellys has lost its sparkle. Too focused on to go orders where walk in orders take over twenty minutes

Elisabeth C.

Yelp
I appreciate the friendly staff at this potbelly. I live right near here so it's a quick option to snag for dinner if I don't want to cook. Last time I was in, the nice young woman working caught me as I was leaving and pulled me back to make sure she had included the applesauce with the children's meal I had ordered. I wish the other patrons had been more respectful, there was a green Jeep compass with a temporary Indiana plat sitting outside eating and just discarding their garbage outside their vehicle doors. I made a big show of picking it up and throwing it away in the garbage can roughly 6 feet away from their vehicle. Shame on them.

Yelp
Fire whoever was making sandwiches the morning of March 15th, 2024. How stupid do you have to be to not toast the sandwich? It quite literally the whole premise of your business. It is equivalent of letting ice cream melt if you worked at baskin robbins

Janet E.

Yelp
They recently renovated this Potbelly's. The major design changes are the wall decor is now more modern, their menu is now electronic, and the wooden walls are now replaced with glass so you can see them making your food. They also changed up their menu. They have a prime rib sandwich and apple cider sundae (just to name a few). The order style has also changed here--you now order and pay first before picking up your food. On my visit here I ordered the apple cider sundae. Unfortunately after I had ordered and paid for it I was told they sold out of it. The employee was nice though and offered to substitute the donut with a dream bar. I approved the substitution but when I realized how long it was taking for them to prepare it, I decided to substitute the sundae for a soup. So they gave me a soup to complete my meal, but in the middle of eating my meal, they delivered to me a sundae when it was finally done! What a nice surprise and great customer service! The location here has a free parking lot which makes it so easy to come here to dine in or carry out. They have a good amount of tables and bar seating that if you have the time I recommend dining in to take in all the new changes.

Yelp
The food was pretty good, as always and so was the service! The workers are very friendly and fast (with making the food). The inside is also very original and fun!

Yelp
avoid this shop! We got 4 sandwiches and when opened bags at home we all thought they gave us kids sandwiches... they skimp on toppings. Looked like the manger is strick w his staff in how much toppings to use...we ended up w meat and cheeses when ordered everything in all sammys..what. waste of money.

Yelp
Potbelly's has completely revamped since the last time I came in , you no longer order as you go but place your order with everything you want on it. My husband ordered the Wreck with no lettuce - the first one came out with lettuce , fine it happens . We took it back and they re-made it - again it had lettuce on it. My husband went back up and they re-made it , this time instead of getting a Wreck back , they some how managed to make a completely different sandwich , this time it was turkey (but they managed to not put lettuce). Three sandwiches in the trash and my husband decided not to say anything . This has got to be the worst potbelly experience I've ever had . 2 stars though for the coffee milkshake.

Jay C.

Yelp
I went to potbelly on 1/29 at around 8:50p, there was no one in the store, including the employees apparently. I stood at the register for close to 5min and NO ONE came out to assist me even though two or three employees made eye contact with me from the back room. Customer service doesn't seem to be a priority with the workers here. I won't be coming back.

Yelp
Disappointed in my meal and not sure I will be returning to this location. I ordered a wreck sandwich and it came with pretty much all lettuce and maybe one or two slices of meat. Since there was so much lettuce, it made the mayo super watery to the point that it was just dripping everywhere. Pretty terrible... The only thing I enjoyed was the soup.

Erika W.

Yelp
This place seems to be closed. I don't know if it's temporary because of COVID or what, but it's all locked up with no signs or anything saying what's going on. To be honest, I'm kind of hoping they're revamping the whole thing. Even before it closed, this place had gone dramatically downhill after its renovation. The new format is terrible and generic to any other fast food restaurant. Whereas the people used to be friendly, the employees I dealt with the past couple times I went there were surly and made mistakes with the orders. I kept going, I guess thinking it was a one-time mistake, but I now see it was a pattern. It appears I'm not alone in my experience. And whoever at corporate decided to revamp the Potbelly "look" should be fired. All the charm of the old place is gone.

Harvy a.

Yelp
I was looking forward into my favorite sandwich, the steakhouse beef. It started tasting different then other times and when I opened it just to find out it had mold

B C.

Yelp
Used to be great. Now, the prices are super high and the portions are noticeably tiny. Sandwiches small. Shakes are crazy small. Salads tiny. I guess that they thought nobody would notice. Instead de this location used to be great. Now it's just sterile and blah. I Just can't recommend this place any more.

Cynthia S.

Yelp
Horrible, slow service and it only them making sandwiches. Too much money for poor service, slowness and bland food.

Ashley H.

Yelp
I went in for a sandwich and they did a good job making sure the people come into the store wearing a mask. There was plenty of room for social distancing. But the man making my sandwich had his mask pulled down and leaving his mouth and nose exposed. When I pointed this out that it defeated the purpose of the mask he said yeah OK really dismissively and then told me to have a good day very loudly so as to cut off any further conversation. I find it very frustrating did the person making my sandwich doesn't take any regard for the health of others. Because the mask is not to protect him it is to protect those he serves. While the other staff were very nice and courteous I can't see myself going back there anytime soon.

Andrew B.

Yelp
They never have any soups or Mac ready. Waited for my Mac for over 10 minutes and then told it's still not ready. Got a refund but seriously? Get you food ready or don't open!

Steve C.

Yelp
It's a clean fast food sandwich spot. They serve the exact same food as every Potbelly's everywhere else in the state. The staff isn't friendly, but you can't really expect them to work 10hr days dealing with the likes of me and still be happy. The sandwiches are prepared quickly and they hold up on their own. It's all that you can hope for in a Potbelly's.

Bart S.

Yelp
It's Potbelly! You pretty much know what you are in for- I love when you order your sandwich, they ask you if you want soup or a shake? I usually have the Broccoli Soup, the sandwich maker always yells out, "CUP OF BROC" towards the register- When you get to the register 9- out of 10 tens- the soup has not been poured! I find it amusing. No Biggie, just funny. Guess it's their schtick. Good value and decent food-friendly staff. The one draw back of this location is the horrible parking lot. There is not enough space for all the stores in this strip mall- the actual parking spaces are too tight, and at peak times, there is usually a wait, drivers get angry trying to get in and out of the lot, a huge drawback to this Potbelly location.

Aleki F.

Yelp
Worst Potbelly's I've ever been to. The few times I've been there all the tables have crumbs all over them, or are sticky. The employees have gotten my order wrong, which I'm unsure how that happens, since I'm telling them how to make the sandwich as they go. Recently I ordered a sandwich from Potbelly's on GrubHub, not realizing it was from this location, and the order was pushed back twice, when they eventually cancelled the order. Now, I understand some of that is on the driver, but the location did close early. I've never not been disappointed with this location.

Peggy T.

Yelp
I actually started reading the Yelp reviews after I ordered because this feels like a junky version of a Potbelly's. The signage doesn't feel the same and the store doesn't have that "college town cafe" feel to it. I was a little worried at first, but the lady who helped me was perfectly fine (demure but polite) and this is a perfectly excellent sandwich. Four stars from me!

Meshell S.

Yelp
Employees look bored. There's no character. They no longer have to interact with us and our are orders on a screen so how is it that it takes even longer a for an order to be ready. The whole order your whole meal including toppings right at the register really slows down the process. The store had overflowing garbage and only one garbage can. I had to throw the garbage at the one where the fountain drinks are while there's a group of people standing there waiting for their food. Both bathrooms were in need of toilet paper.

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Going to post here since they aren't professional enough to call me back or answer me Posting this because I'm A little lost and can't get a straight answer from the store. So a week ago a guy named Eddie called me rather enthusiastic to invite me in for an interview yesterday oct 14 at 345 with a guy named Louis well after going all the way over there I walk inside and ask for Louis and this guy named clint tells me and I quote "Louis left early i don't know anything about an interview then basically laughed in my face and shrugged his shoulders and walked away so I got a little suspicious and had my husband call and just ask for Louis in which clint answered and told my husband that Louis didn't work at all yesterday and there was some issue with management and that I would have to reschedule and btw they never called me too tell me there was a cancelation or I need to reschedule. that in my opinion is highly unprofessional. And I'd still like to have that interview I am still very much interested in working for the company I just don't think its fair that I miss an opportunity because of their lack of professionalism and communication. I'm posting here in hopes that this can be resolved because they lie right too my face in the store and over the phone.

LaPrieta D.

Yelp
Well this place is great with the menu option BUT how is it that when you order a certain sandwich and you walking down to the next worker to tell them what topping you want on it but by the time uou get to the cashier and pay for your food and about to sit down and eat and notice that your sandwich is not what you ask for. Like wtf there making it as you tell them. Than they wanna look at you like i did something wrong. Smh... ima still be a customer but pay close attention next time. Thank you

AJ M.

Yelp
Pretty standard Potbellys. Out of all the commercial sandwich shops Potbellys is deff my favorite. This location is great because its in a strip mall next to a chipolte, forever yogurt! Also its across xport as well!

K C.

Yelp
Their scale must be off. The amount of meat in their sandwiches is pretty small. Ordered the chicken salad, pizza and wreck. Very upsetting.

Robert S.

Yelp
Does it seem like there's a Potbelly or Chipotle within a four-block radius no matter where you are on Chicago's north side? Yeah, there is. And there's a Chipotle next door to this Potbelly. Decisions, decisions. Ah, but the Potbelly sandwiches here are great. Nice location in a strip mall with a few other interesting restaurants and shops.

Vicki J.

Yelp
Fast service. Same quality sandwich and salads that you can get at any potbelly sandwich shop. Love their chip variety as well.

Darius J.

Yelp
Never had a terrible experience at a potbelly until today. Walking into a revamped establishment that you know and love with employees that could care less about your business, is heartbreaking. Very disappointed.

Sierra G.

Yelp
We are all navigating a new normal with a global pandemic, but I do feel compelled to provide feedback on my experience this afternoon. I ordered online seeing that the store offered curbside delivery. I have a new baby and have to take extra precautions with exposure in public places. I pulled up in front of the door at the time specified and called the store number as instructed. I followed the automatic telephone prompts to be connected to the store for the curbside delivery. Once connected to the store, it would ring and ring or hang up. I tried not once, not twice, but four times! Eventually, it started raining and I was forced to take my baby out of the car and enter the store to collect my order. I mentioned to the employee that I had been calling several times for curbside delivery and he casually mentioned that the phone was in the back. He was polite and the food was high quality and delicious (as usual), but I was very frustrated about the curbside promise being botched and forcing me into a situation I was not comfortable in. It is completely fine is a business does not have the capacity to do curbside delivery, but please do not offer it to customers.

Roberto E.

Yelp
This is my last time that I will come back to this potbelly, HORRIBLE!!! I really luv potbelly sandwiches, but on this location is the 3rd time that They were barely a few ingredients, almost a flat sandwich, empty! I really don't recommend this location!

Maricelis T.

Yelp
The girl that made my sandwich was very rude. She threw my last sandwich at me and kept rolling her eyes because she didn't listen to my condiment order. She started getting irritated and upset and was rude. Sorry potbelly's I love you but better customer service.

Amanda S.

Yelp
I want to start this with I love Potbelly's. That being said, I hate hate hate this location. The staff is extremely rude. I get that you guys are busy but take that as a good sign and put a damn smile on your face. They rush you through, without giving you a few seconds to look at the menu. Maybe I want to try something different? I think I heard, "is that it? You want something else?" in a jersey-like tine like 5 times in the first 2 minutes I was there. I was like damnn give me a sec. When I ordered my sandwich, I got to the girl who puts all the condiments on it and I said I want everything but peppers and mayo. I paid and went out to my car to eat since this place only has like 5 tables total and they were all full. When I bit in I felt the burn of the peppers.....From this one bite I had the worst acid reflux for the entire day. I have an extremely sensitive stomach when it comes to spicy things. When I brought the sandwich inside to have it remade I was promptly turned down because the girl said I asked for everything and they didn't have time to make another because they were busy. So not only did I not eat lunch, I felt like vomiting and had heart burn all day because of my sandwich.

Jim M.

Yelp
Well it seems the folks at Potbelly corporate take customer feedback fairly seriously. Their attention coupled with Jimmie John's and Subway sort of sucking has moved them back to the top of my "need a quick sandwich from a national chain" batting order. Now to be honest privately owned sandwich places and even local chains are my preference but Potbelly is now in the mix even though it's sort of like bragging about being the smart kid in the dumb row when you're merely better than the other major sandwich chains. After my Yelp review and the feedback form sent to us since we ordered on line we were contacted by several members of the Chicago management team. They were polite and apologetic. They asked for some details to verify we actually had ordered what we claimed and weren't just professional malcontents trolling for restitution. After we were vetted they told us they would do their best to ensure our terrible experience wasn't repeated. In a few days we received a generous package of coupons to have another meal at Potbelly. We took them up on it... although this time we went ahead and picked it up. I have to say the food is pretty good. I love that massive pickle and the sandwich is a solid not bad sans the massive amount of spite mayonnaise that was applied to my first sandwich. They also gave us a couple of free milkshakes which I hadn't tried before. And just like Vincent Vega, I have to say that's a pretty good fuckin' milkshake. I don't know if it's worth five dollars but it's pretty fucking good.

G R.

Yelp
I like this location, I'm a creature of habit I always order the Italian, I like it without mortadella, and I ask them to leave it off and give me extra salami instead. At this location it's never been a problem, they happily take my order and make me a sandwich just the way I want it. Thanks, great transaction. When I've gone to other locations, it seems to be a difficult request to process, they respond with, we can leave off the mortadella, but can't double the salami or some combination of a snarky expression and audible sigh as if I requested some type of gourmet meal requiring Alinea talent. What confuses me about the whole thing is that on one side of the counter, it can't be done, while just steps away there's a board with about a dozen fixing which you chose from. I guess working that side must be several pay grades up? In any event, at least I know I can get what I want.

Adam H.

Yelp
Never really had potbelly until i moved here a few months ago. And oh my, that wreck on the thin crust bread, or whatever it is called, is the bomb.com. I get it everytime and don't want to deviate from ole faithful. Probably get it at least once a week for lunch. My fiancé loves the chicken salad sub everytime. Great place if you've never been.

Bethany M.

Yelp
For the vegetarians out there try the "Vegetarian" sandwich. Not to be confused with the "Mediterranean Veggie" sandwich. Yes, they are two different sandwiches but only one is actually shown on the menu. Confusing I know but just trust me. The vegetarian is filled with veggies and hot peppers, so good! The staff is nice and the sandwiches are tasty!

Clayton R.

Yelp
I ordered a pizza sandwich with no meat. Unwrapping, I was very dismayed to see it was heavy with MUSHROOMS, the worst of all "vegetables" (did you know it's a FUNGUS?) In a huff I brought it back. (Who the f*ck eats mushrooms? Bleh. Stop!) The guy politely obliged to make me another without mushrooms, though at first seemed confused. After a few moments of smugly waiting I realized I was a complete idiot and mushrooms were on the menu. I apologized profusely and the girl who was also working thanked me for acknowledging it. We had a good laugh about how stupid customers can be and all was well. They made me a sandwich, were nice about it after I was *kind* of a dick, and even managed to thank ME. So, while I'm rarely impressed by Potbelly's, their sub-par vegetarian option food went down with a smile. 5 stars for service!

Beatriz T.

Yelp
Big Ass Ice Cream Sandwiches and Kick Ass Thick Milkshakes...Oh and their sandwiches are pretty dope too. Skip Subway and try this place out. That is all!

Kevin S.

Yelp
Potbelly makes great sandwiches and I had yet to be disappointed until my most recent trip. HOWEVER, This is a rare instance where a restaurant went out of its way to make it right. Ordered a sandwich to go with many toppings. Opened it at the house.... only tomatoes. I was not happy since that potbelly is about 20 minutes away with traffic. Called up to simply inform they messed up my order and the manager immediately asked what I was supposed to get and drove over my now correct sandwich himself at no charge. Customer service at its finest!

Harrison W.

Yelp
It took a half hour to make a sandwich and shake at 1pm. Unacceptable.

Diane L.

Yelp
Sandwiches were poorly made. Never had an issue with this place till now . They need to hire new people even though she is the new help. Waste of time. And they even got one of my sandwiches wrong. It was suppose to be a big pizza without mushroom and I pointed it out they said they would replace it but again waste of my time. The sandwich was a regular size but charged a big size. And the sandwiches were terrible when I got home. Will not go back even though I live 2 blocks away. Now I will have to find a new potbelly.

Kyle B.

Yelp
I mean, I've always been impressed with Potbellys sandwiches the same way I'm impressed with Quiznos sandwiches or toasted Subway sandwiches. They are tasty and will fill me up in a lunch-time kind of way, but aren't anything spectacular. Most of you already know the types and quality of food to expect at this establishment, so I won't go into the gratuitous details (probably incorrect word choice) but this review is mostly about THIS Potbellys Sandwich shop. I went in here last Saturday after my hair cut (I was looking really good) and after I finally batted away the last of the women offering me their phone numbers, I made my way into Potbellys for a quick bite to eat. Now, I've always been impressed with the energy in most Potbellys sandwich creators. No matter which restaurant I go in, they always seem to have this above-average infatuation with sandwich meat. It's kind of weird, but it's something I enjoy when going to a Potbellys restaurant. This restaurant had a serious lack of sandwich meat infatuation. Don't get me wrong, they were fine but they were talking behind the counter for most of the ordering process and, with me being the only person in line, I would have thought they would have used team effort to get me in and out of the door. I ended up waiting a little longer than usual for my sandwich (which tasted as I expected). All in all, the food quality was satisfying, but the service and overall experience could use a little sumthin' sumthin'. Might have just been a slow Saturday. Who knows.

Virginia L.

Yelp
Until recently this location is awful!!! All of the front line employees that worked today 12/26/18 @ 3PM are all rude assholes. They don't smile or say thank you. They charged me extra for things I didn't order and had awful attitudes about their mistakes. Who is the manager?!?!? Get your sh*t together and hire new friendly people again!!!

Steve M.

Yelp
The only issue with this location is the parking lot which can get really crowded during lunch time and on the weekends. The line is usually not that long and the sandwiches are just like all the other potbellys.

Julia C.

Yelp
Pretty quick, and you know exactly what you're getting. No surprises here. Don't even attempt the parking lot - you'll circle for at least 10 minutes, give up and just park on the street a half block down. Aim for the street parking off the bat, and you'll cut your time here in half!

Claudia L.

Yelp
good sandwiches, fast service, love that there's a parking lot. Sat here for a couple hours doing some work and the place stayed pretty quiet and no one bothered me. All in all, a good stop for dinner when you're feeling lazy.

melissa a.

Yelp
Broccoli cheddar sundays Love the veggie! If you are looking for a quick and filling sub definately check out potbelly! Im commited to my veggie, no swiss extra american & broccoli cheddar....but my friends do say the italian and wreck are great. I feel like a fatty but i was geeked when they came out with the "big" sandwich. Ive been wanting to try a salad b/c they really do look appealing but ill have to come back and review that PS. only place i know that has a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie. YUM

Jose G.

Yelp
Horrible service. A bunch of high school kids with bad manners the day I went in. The sandwiches taste different too. Go to another potbelly's , I recommend the one on Irving park and Keeler
