The food hall inside the mall is such a cool spot! The vibes are super eclectic with a great mix of cuisine options to satisfy any craving. The decor is adorable (check out my photos!) and there are plenty of seating options, making it easy to find a comfortable spot to relax and eat. I went with food from Burger Dive and was really impressed — their chicken sandwich on a gluten-free bun was delicious and flavorful. And the Cajun fry basket? Absolutely a must-try! Definitely planning to come back and try more.

It was a good experience besides the fact there no Natives here 😅 so felt in the wrong place but i still enjoyed myself and didnt care who was staring 🥰🤠

Love the Atmosphere & music! Not yr usual food court 4sure! Food options are kinda spendy but worth it! My daughter had a cheese burger off the Smack Shack kids menu & I went with 3 sides from Adam's Soul To-Go. The Mac, greens, & beans n rice were FIRE!!!😋 (there is pork in the greens & beans n rice-Fyi) We'll be back!

Best food I've ever had in a mall food court! Unsurprising with such MN staples as Smack Shack, Burger Dice, Joey's Meatballs, and Nordic Waffle! The chicken tender basket from burger dive was a surprise - super light and extremely delicious!

My family and I visited your OG ZAZA pizza restaurant on Sunday September 29th 2024. At the Roseville (potluck) location. It was our first time there. Upon trying to order at 540pm-ish we were told, "we are closed!" By the male solo employee. However, my husband begged him to let us order a pizza since we were out of town. (Google says hours are till 6pm. They should change it to 540pm if that's when all these restraunts take their last orders at.) But that's another issue.) So I'm sitting in the seating area watching things around me. 2 gals from the taco shop next door, clock out and then go over to your pizza restraunt and are just laughing and messing around with your male employee, Behind the counter too! The girl even took the long pole pizza spatula and pulled out a pizza and put it in the box! Laughing and giggling the whole time. I sure didn't think this was sanitary or appropriate behavior. However, I didn't say anything.  So few minutes later, I go to counter to get our pizza and opened it up and it was completely black and charred around the whole outside edge of the crust. So we each took a few bites of a piece (of the middle) and that was it. It was also extremely greasy!!!! You can see my photos below. The whole experience was disappointingto say the least. First, to being told rudely that you were closed then, to see the pizza (male) employee messing around with 2 other different restraunt workers behind the counter and then the very burnt and greasy pizza to top it off. And we paid $25 with tax and tip...!!!!!  Not sure if this is how your crust always is or if it was because of the distraction of the two girls that our pizza was neglected and burnt with carcinogens?  But we will not be returning. Also I emailed the company with this story and hot no response. So decided to do an honest review. Hope to save others from wasting their money on this so called food!

Food is a failure! Legendary Spice was horrible! No flavor. Took 50 mins to complete two appetizers and two dishes. Portions were small and overpriced! Definitely would not recommend!

I will never visit Potluck again. Sure, the food was fine, but the location is terrible. It's located just below a virtual reality simulator and FOR MY ENTIRE MEAL is could hear people yelling at the top of their lungs upstairs in the virtual reality simulator. In addition, the screens just outside potluck (within view of the tables available just outside Potluck) played gory scenes or war-like virtual games nonstop. Not appropriate imagery for public place, especially for kids or given the reality of our society today.

This is a cool location. Newly renovated upstairs. It use to be a bar with areas to chat and pool tables and such and now it's dedicated to VR company. Seems like a great place to bring a group of people and try their systems out. This place has a great hometown feel, niche eating spots and great experiences. You can find burgers, sweets, and seafood. It's a great place to eat lunch and or dinner. Many places to watch a game and drink a beer. I'll return and try more food and coffee for sure.

I do like the food hall concept inside the mall. Everyone can kind of get the type of cuisine they want. They have seafood, pasta, desserts, waffles, tacos, wings, pizza and more. I will say where ever you go you will probably spend $15+ for a meal and $3-4 extra for a drink. I noticed most places only had bottled drink options so you even have to pay for water. They have a lot of seating options. We happen to sit by OG Zara because it was near where we chose to get food from. Unfortunately it was about 10 below outside and the door was constantly opening from people coming in for lunch rush so there would be constant cold air hitting us. It did warm back up fairly quick but I'd suggest sitting closer to the mall side even though it's a bit more congested. I loved how each restaurant had their own little styles/decor around them. It's for sure worth checking out if you are at Rosedale. We opted to try Tios (I left a separate review for them) overall/to sum it up the wings were really good the fries that came w/ the wings tasted half cooked (very starchy tasting) and the nachos were very basic for the price we paid.

Joey Meatballs is okay - 3 stars. Joey Meatballs isn't good and it isn't bad. I'm going with a middle-of-the-road rating of "mediocre". I went with them because I checked all of the menus in the food court and it looked like this restaurant was my best chance of getting animal-based food without a bunch of unnecessary, inflammatory plants. Since I'm a low carbohydrate eater, I got a side of 4 giant meatballs. BTW, they shorted me one, I was supposed to get 4 but he gave me 3. Off to a bad start. My elderly mother ordered a spaghetti meal, called "The Baller", with the same giant meatballs. The meatballs tasted great but the quality sucked. I could taste, definitely, that they were more soy protein than real ground beef. Bummer. The sauce tasted okay but it was cheap crap too. I didn't feel very well after I ate all of this stuff. I'd bet all the money in my wallet that the sauce is loaded with corn syrup and gross factory vegetable seed oils. Oh, well. You get what you pay for. On the other hand... I really LOVE a lot of things about the whole "Potluck" food court area! It's beautiful, it's diverse, and it has some cool design features like a ceiling full of wooden spoons under the escalator (see photos). Cool! As a Keto Low Carb dude, I probably won't be hitting up the Potluck food court in the future other than (maybe) grabbing a coffee to-go at the waffle place. Every food place sells items that range from 90% to 100% plant based, food-like products. BTW, I love Baldamar and I love Crave, both in close proximity and within walking distance from Potluck. I'm glad I checked it out but I won't be back. -Maxx

This food court in Rosedale Mall is sadly lacking choices or affordability for those who are looking for alternatives after a long day of shopping. I love Rosedale mall so it makes me sad to have to say I am disappointed with this food court. I could count the number of businesses here with one hand. The food options here do not inspire me to come back. We decided on the Smack Shack shrimp rolls and lobster Mac and cheese for lunch. We did not intend to spend so much for a quick and cheap lunch, but we had no choice since my mil was already tired. The prices for both food and drinks are expensive here for a food hall with not much of an ambience.

Been to potluck many times. It's a good hall in the mall and you may say it's a food court. But I felt the quality of the food items is a lot better than a typical food court. Further more the restaurants are not big chains. I took one star off because they close when the mall closes, typically around 7 during the week days and I wish it could close later. You have lots of good food options and I am not sure if the restaurant rotates on a time schedule or just whenever the business decides to stop. You can order from salad place, pizza, coffee and waffles, bakery, sandwich and burger, Italian. It previously has taco and ramen bar and I wish those could come back.

Tried the Potluck food hall at the Rosedale Center. Wanted Italian so I tried Joey Meatballs. There aren't many pasta dishes to try from so I went with the namesake, The Baller, a plate of spaghetti and two huge meatballs $16.75. Also ordered the Caesar salad for $5 and a diet soda. With a tip and tax, it was a $30 lunch. Basically spaghetti in the bottom of the bowl with two large meatballs in tomato sauce and basil leaves on top. The meatballs were good, not dry and seasoned ok. There was certainly more bites of meatball than the lean amount of spaghetti in the bowl. The Caesar salad was just lettuce and a small amount of Caesar dressing on top. No shaved cheese or croutons in the bowl. But I enjoyed having fresh salad as a side. The pasta offerings are a bit limited so I give it a 3.5.

I'm so happy that Potluck is lasting in Roseville Mall. If you didn't know... this space has revolved over the years to an awesome food hall. I do miss "ChickPea" though! There is a wide variety of food stands that are more of a local taste of MN. I would encourage you stop in! There is something for everyone here! My favs were Adam's Soul to go & Smack Shack (lobster Mac!). RIP Chickpea!

It's a little hard to review Potluck because it has morphed so much in its few years on this earth, but the gist is that there seem to be a good variety of quality options here, but mostly not cheap ones. There was an earlier iteration of this concept here, but unlike Potluck, the previous food hall was one food joint pretending to be many. Potluck is now a congregation of independent counters, and vendors might come and go over the years (indeed some already have). But this is definitely different from a traditional shopping mall food court. There's no Sbarro and no Panda Express at Potluck. These stalls include representatives of known commodities such as Smack Shack, Grand Ole Creamery, and Joey Meatballs. I recently tried the latter on their first day at Potluck, and I liked it enough to return about a week later. The entrees are around $15, which is pretty normal for a meal from one of these foodmongers. But that price reflects a higher quality than you'd normally get over a counter at a suburban mall. My first Joey meal was the Carbonara, and it should be known that their Carbonara was done properly. I asked him about it up front and he was excited to show off how legit their Carbonara was. I was fortunate enough to be in Rome a couple of years ago and get Carbonara from a very charming sidewalk cafe, so I can confirm that this Carbonara tasted pretty much exactly the same as what is apparently enjoyed by workaday Italians. On my second visit to Joey's, I tried a very standard spaghetti with meatball and tomato sauce. Such good pasta, and really good meatball! The sauce was thin and tomato-chunk-y - more so than I like. I also feel like for $15, I should feel more full after eating it. Betty and Earl's has served me well in recent years, but they've reimagined themselves into something called B&E Featuring Sweets by Diane, and they focus on pastries. I got a very rich and tasty flourless chocolate thing from them that was awesome. I've also tried Adam's Soul to Go & gotten good pulled pork from them. I haven't tried Smack Shack or Burger Dive, which seem to be buddied up together, but you can whet your whistle with alcoholic libations there as long as you don't take them outside the designated zone. It seems like if this place putters along on its current trajectory, it will always be a good idea to at least see what's going on here when hungry and at Rosedale. Less so if you want something fast and cheap, maybe.

We had the shrimp basket from Shake Shack, a burger from Burger Dive, and Ice Cream from Grand Ol Creamery. The shrimp was very good. The burger was mediocre. The ice cream was good. However, it was more expensive than I expected by about $4. Also, there isn't a good area to get drinks. There basically was just a drinking fountain. Most of the napkin dispensers were out as well so it felt poorly maintained. I also had wished there was better variety for entrees. I think an Italian and/or Mexican option would help immensely. So it's better than the Revolution Food Hall a little but has a ton of room for improvement when it comes to selection, price, and simple accommodations like drinks and napkins.

I have heard so much about Potluck, so of course I had to check it out when I was in the area! My friend & I wandered through the selections for a little bit before deciding on the ramen. The order didn't take an awfully long time considering how many people were there. But, my biggest problem is that there isn't enough seating. I don't know how this can be fixed seeing as half of the space is just seating, but they still need more. We ended up having to travel through the mall to sit down. Anyway, the ramen was so good. I'm not a ramen connoisseur but I did really like it, I'd absolutely get it again. Of course I thought I was full after that so we walked around the mall but there was no way I was going to leave without trying a biscuit from Betty and Earl's. This thing is its own meal, y'all. So heavy but also buttery and just... Good. I think Potluck has a good selection, but I am interested in seeing what else they bring.

Came here to eat before going to see a movie. The restaurants they have are a decent selection. My friend and I are at Burger Dive/Smack Shack. I got the lobster rolls from Smack Shack and the regular fries from Burger Dive. The Burger Dive menu is smaller than the one on Bay St. We sat at the bar and had some drinks while waiting for our food. The bartender brought us our food once it was ready, which is nice. The food was decent and the drinks were amazing. Afterwards we went to Betty and Earls to pick up some dessert. I was hoping to get a slice of banana cream pie, but unfortunately they were out, so I grabbed one of their single serve cheese cakes. I had a bite after coming home from the movie and it was pretty good. Not the best I've had, but definitely not the worst. I would probably go back to grab a quick bite to eat before going to a movie, but that's probably it.

We finallllly made it to Potluck at Roseville Mall! I'd show you a picture of what I got but I ate it tooooo quick! Nate had biscuits and gravy from Betty and Earls, talk about a savory meal on a cold Minnesota evening. Everything about it was fantastic. Nate even said he had the perfect bite each time with gravy and some biscuit! I of course had a Lobster Roll from Smack Shack...one of my favorite restaurants here in the Twin Cities! I love the lobster roll from Smack. It's light the bread is awesome... only thing I thought was disappointing is they side it with a bag of chips. I get Lobster is expensive but when you are paying $20 for a meal at a food court situation and with the name you'd think even a side of fries would go with it... We finished it off with Cheese Curds from the Burger Dive! Yes...those are pickles and seasoning I believe are a dill salt combo that I think is an bomb idea! Good handful of other awesome MN food places to check out like Nordic Waffle and Chickpea and Grand Ole Creamery! This is absolutely another spot to add to our list to bring the kids with since they have options for everyone!

Man, Rosedale Center has been through a lot the past few years! They used to have a standard (not good) food court, then a faux food hall, and now an actual food hall. Good things come to mall-goers who wait! I'm so glad that the newest Potluck concept is made up of local businesses. Here are some that I tried recently (and I'm pretty sure they will change up the lineup eventually): + Nordic Waffles: A MN State Fair fave! I'm so glad they have an actual location in MSP now. Here, they're offering oldy but goodies and new creations, both savory and sweet. I've enjoyed their Slammin Salmon Waffle in the past, and at Potluck I fell in love with their mushroom waffle with truffle powder and honey. + Betty and Earl's: These biscuits are thicc! They definitely have that homemade taste that Jason Matheson's family recipe intended to bring. I got the one with gravy, and I loved that the biscuit itself was stuffed with sausage and the gravy had lovely flavor and herbs. I just wish they gave more than one ounce of it. + Obachan: Mall ramen didn't really appeal to me, but when I saw someone walk by with Japanese fried chicken, I couldn't resist getting some. Two orders, actually. We got the original and Tokyo hot. The service was a little off (they didn't know what part of the chicken the pieces were, which we eventually concluded are boneless thighs), but it was prompt. The servings were generous and hearty. They were a bit too salty but the kewpie helped with that! Kewpie helps with everything.

This review is based off of Smack Shack. I will add more then I consume more. :3 So. Here is the story. My first bite left me saying "Oh my God." X5. Now let's start from the beginning. Was semi hungry and my partners and I were watching the dancers at rosedale put on their performance for the day. After one partner left for work. The other and I decided to meander over to the new food court. Making sure not to tell anyone else. (I hope they dont read this and arent following me on Yelp.) We walked around for a bit and I was taken in by the description of the Connecticut Roll at Smack Shack. After reading a few other descriptions at other places we decided to split the Connecticut Roll.. I mean who doesnt like warm rolls dripping with butter. We ordered and the individual helping us was really courteous. Most of my reviews are never on service because.. end of the day it's all about the food. But this one stood out from the most. A+++++ to this person. They werent sure if they could make a note into the system to slice the roll. They said "with the abundance amount of knives back there. Youd hope they would use them." It made us laugh. The total came out to $24 for the roll plus a $4 tip. Which is a bit of an ouch. But wait. There is more!!! #worth. Now. The system they have will text you the food is ready. We got the text and they brought back the plate. And to see how they did it made me want to go back there and hug the person who made it and the two people up front who helped us. We got two pickles, the sandwich cut in half and two chips. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have never been to a place that would give us two chips. It was so sweet of them. Plus two pickles. Yum yum. Now that sandwich. Remember how I pre gamed with how I said "Oh My God" x5 after the first bite. Well.... I said it all the way until I finished my half. Their were chunks...CHUNKS! Of lobster. Not like shreds or small bits. BIG. LOBSTER. TRUCKIN. CHUNKS. So.. for that price, not terrible. Botton line: uh.. yes please. And please dont poof on us like how Revolution Hall did.

Smack Shack, Nordic Waffles, Grand Ole Creamery and that's not all that is available in this food court! Great establishments located throughout the cities and they are right here at this location. No driving from St. Paul to Minneapolis for all the favorites.

Potluck is the *new* food hall in Roseville mall in place of the Revolution Food hall that just closed earlier this summer. The turnaround time for getting the new businesses in was impressive. I like that there are actual local restaurants in there now. I wish each restaurant had its own Yelp page but since Nordic Waffles doesn't have their own, I'll leave their review here. I got the breakfast waffle and while it was good, there wasn't much to it. $6.50 was an okay price but I wouldn't buy it again from them. Next time I come to the mall, I'll definitely try a different restaurant!

Great place with a lot of variety. We had a few of my favorite places from Minneapolis (Burger Dive and Smack Shack) and a new spot (Betty & Earl's Biscuits). Burger Dive is one of the best burgers in the cities and this location definitely represents that. And Smack Shack brings East Coast Lobster Rolls to the Midwest. Lastly, Betty & Earl's Biscuits was a phenomenal taste of the south with homemade biscuits of all variety. We had the Sausage Gravy Biscuit and it was buttery with a little crisp on the edge and filled with sausage gravy. Service was very fast at each place and the process for picking up your food by getting a text when ready was super easy. Will definitely be back again.

My wife and I have been here 3x since potluck Opened. We have had several items from the burger dive, every burger has been wonderful! Our 10 year old daughter was with for one of the visits and stated it was the best burger she has ever had ( she only ate half). The fries and wings at burger dive is also outstanding!!! One visit we split an order of Mac and cheese with andouille sausage, from the smack shack. This is very rich and comfort food at its best!!! A perfect dish to split. There is also a pizza/ice cream place in pot luck, I tried a slice of sausage pizza, it was cold and boring. However, my wife and daughter both loved the ice cream sold at this place. Pocklock has several other choices but we havnt tried them all as you can't go wrong with either burger dive or the smack shack! An added plus for me is I can enjoy a beer or cocktail at burger dive while my wife shops!

The Burger Dive's dry wings are well worth the trip to the mall. The smell alone will make you form a puddle of drool on the table. The meat is very tender and the dry rub is so flavorful. We also ordered the Big Ass Pretzel and unfortunately this one was not worth the money. It came out a bit cold and hard. Skip the pretzel and go for wings and the House Burger!

Haven't tried all of the food spots yet. -Burger place has amazing burgers but gross fries. -Chickpeas hummus with stuff on top dish portions are really for two people. Love the idea. The spinach hummus was a little salty. The regular might be great. All the topping were excellent -Grand ole Creamy ... ice cream and homemade cone yum. Also just a St. Paul institution. I wonder if Obama will come to this location. -Japanese fried chicken. This is the one I have been telling everyone about. Very delish. Fried chicken is my favorite food group! Though I did ask the lady if anything came with it and she said oh it's enough food. Ummm... I can definitely eat a lot (I look kinda small) I did get a seaweed salad to go with and was able to eat both easily. -Smack Shack was great. I got Shrimp basket it was perfect. Loved the seasoning on the fries. So that's all I have tried so far. Improvement over the last Revolution Hall.

I want SO badly to like this new set up at Rosedale, but there are just SO many things that could be done to make it better. First: I love all the seating and the fact that there is an open communal area to get napkins, water, salt, pepper and other condiments. And now, the suggested improvements: Waffle Place: SO many options of sweet mixed with savory or sweet when you think it's goinng to be savory because the menu doesn't tell you. I don't like surprises that I pay for, she. I hate sweet and savory together! The noodle and chicken place. All the chicken is breaded. They'll tell you it's a potato starch and not a "breading" but it looks really thick and unappetizing. The bucket of it just sitting up in the window like they may grab it and throw it on any dish after it's been a sitting there for who-knows-how-long is extremely gross to me. Maybe if there were some pictures of the food I would insider something. It's too big of a risk to order a bowl of noodles and weird window chicken for me. The Hummus place- I got some hummus here and it was good. Hard to go wrong with hummus. I felt the pitta portion should have been bigger and it was also really hard and either over baked or stale on one side of everY piece I got. Burger Dive - my kid got a burger and fries here and was happy. Once again No Photos!! People - marketing 101, if you want people to want your food take a beautiful picture of it!!! It's like the whole place is just mystery food! We want to love you, we really do!! Help us love you!! Old Creamery ice cream and pizza. The pizza is pizza. It's edible and does the job if you're craving pizza. There's nothing else to say about that. They ice cream is fantastic!!! The staff is friendly but there was a dude there tonight that would not stop picking and his earring and that's about the only thing on this planet that would deter me from some delicious ice cream. Please no ear scabs. The Smack Shack - now I've had their lobster roll on the streets of Minneapolis out of the back of a truck and thought I may have caught a glimpse of heaven. Sadly, that's not the roll I got tonight. Bread was okay, lobster was cold out of the fridge, big distracting chucks of cucumber and two separate pieces of lobster shell that I feared I would crack a tooth in if I couldn't find it in the bite I was working on. It was like biting a rock! Almost worse than breaking my tooth was the fact that they have a SINGLE tiny menu in a frame at belly level that only one or two people could possibly read at a time. I don't wAnt to stand and wait for 5-7 minutes while someone else decides if they want your food to decide if I want your food. Come on! Think about serving the people and post your menu so people can read it and hey; how about some PICTURES??? I'll end this long review by reiterating: please PotLuck!!! please!! Help us to love you!!!

Sorry but this one won't last either, a mall foodcourt (whatever) needs some cheap eats for the teenagers who spend time there. The cost of $13-$18 dollars for a quick meal is just to much. this isn't suppose to be a dining experience but a bite to eat while your shopping. the portions are to small and skimpy, see waffles, the noodles. we know mall foodcourts all have boring choices, but a cheap burger and fries is what our kids want when they go with friends not something they can talk about later. What cheaper option are there for the little ones ?

It took a year. I have now tried all the places in this food court. The positive is that the choices are diverse... soul food, Asian, burgers, desserts. I just could not find anything that stood out. Fast food at higher than fast food prices.

"Potluck" is as Minnesotan as you can get for a food court. Yes, it is surrounded by food purveyors of all kinds: lobster rolls, biscuits, bowls, noodles, burgers. So pick one out & chow down! It's got some interesting art (so while you're waiting for your kids/grandkids to finish their meals-you can look around on the walls).

A good selection of local restaurants can be found here. It now feels less like A corporate caterer operated dining hall. Smack shack was disappointing, 2 out of 5 stars. The shrimp basket was okay, shrimp tasted fresh and breading was crispy. Fries were fresh and seasoned well. The dipping sauce tasted like mayo mixed with sriracha sauce, for how much the basket was, sauce was mediocre. For around $20 lobster roll was underwhelming; the lobster roll came with a a bag of chips... at least throw some fries in the fryer and complete the meal with that but a bag of old Dutch chips? Come on. Lobster was under seasoned and bland. Tasted like lobster mixed with sour cream and celery. Obachan: ramen was 2 out 5, microwave ramen taste better and have more flavor. Nordic waffles: 5 out 5 stars! Brown cheese waffle, breakfast waffle, berry and cream waffle and havarti and mushroom waffles were delicious. My family and I had to go for seconds. They offer savory and dessert type waffles, dessert waffles were sweet but well balanced. So good and will definitely be visiting Potluck hall again just for the waffles. Can literally eat ten of these they were so good!

I don't like malls, but it's nice to see something other than your typical fast food joints for mall food options. Because this isn't your typical food court, don't expect to pay fast food prices. The cost of food here is more comparable to what you'd pay for something at a food truck event. There's a good variety of restaurants to choose from, including seafood, and southern and Asian food. The space is nice and open. Parts of it even has an outside view and there's plenty of seating. No complaints here.

So I finally got around to visit Potluck the *new* food hall in Roseville mall in place of the Revolution... I reviewed Revolution, which I didn't care much for and obviously others didn't either as it closed after a few months. I was excited to hear a new food court replaced Revolution.... but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be better. It's actually worse, as a couple of the food offered here, like Smack Shack are expensive. Based on the reviews here, I skipped the ramen and hummus. I decided to try Nordic Waffle. My mom and I got and shared the Slammin Salmon Waffle and the Truffle Mushroom Waffle. It was very good but it wasn't filling so next we visited Betty & Earl's Biscuit and we shared the bacon cheese biscuit. The biscuit was very thick but again, but again it wasn't filling and the taste was much to be desired. The lighting at this food court is really dark and depressing...what's up with that? I really do miss the old standard small food court with good pizza (Sbarro) and Chinese/Japanese food (Saarku) I guess with all the renovations Roseville put in the mall they wouldn't bring it back. Overall, Rosedale Mall itself is very empty and have gone downhill as well.

I was a big fan of Revolution Hall at the Roseville Center. So when I heard they had to shut it down I was sad. I liked the concept and all the restaurants and especially the bar as it was very diverse and had a cozy western flare to it. Me and my friend decided to come give the replacement a try and safe to say, we prefer Revolution Hall much more. First thing that I noticed was that the upstairs was closed, that meant no more fun spacious room and additional eateries up there, only the first floor. I remembered the upper floor having pool tables and board games and comfy seating. Secondly I noticed the ordering computers were gone, I couldn't look at and order from one location which isn't a huge deal but that was what made Revolution Hall convenient and unique. Now the place is just your average food court. Thirdly the bar was bad. The bar service was adequate but what I got wasn't worth anywhere near the money I was spending. Paying up $9 for a Makers Mark Old Fashioned in a cheap plastic cup made with a cheap red Sunday Cherry is not worth that kind of money. The previous bar had class and style, serving drinks in a real rocks glass with quality Cherries and ingredients at a price that matched. Also the bar had such a small selection of whiskey to choose from, I saw like only 8 or so selections and they were all lower tier choices. Lastly and most importantly is the food. I was not wowed by the food or the selection. Now I read somewhere that this place was supposed to be all local food eateries but with that being said it didn't feel that local nor special. It wasn't exciting nor inspiring. It was all food that I've had before. Of the several foods we had at Potluck I only liked the Lobster Rolls at Smack Shack but wouldn't plan on coming here and getting it every weekend for the price. You do get a great amount of Lobster so that kinda evens it out but still I feel for the price it should at least come with fries instead of a bag of chips that I can get from anywhere for a dollar or less. I tried the Japanese Fried Chicken which was on point for texture and being juicy, but in terms of flavor it was lacking. I ordered the spicy flavor and it had no spice and all I could really taste was the soy sauce. Another item I tried was the Nacho Burger which was ok. The flavor was nothing new or exciting for me. And of course it came with chips, fries had to be ordered al a carte. Not a huge issue but for the price at least give me a bomb good burger that will wow me or fries instead of cheap chips on the side. Overall I am disappointed and have no plans on coming back unless if they decide to open up the second level and expand on it. I was looking forward to giving this place a try but it doesn't compare to what it replaced. I really liked Revolution Hall and hope they can bring back aspects of that concept back into here. For me this place isn't my cup of tea.

Went to Smack Shack at Potluck in Roseville. The person taking my order was rude and the food was burnt. Highly strongly do not recommend

What a fun food court! Love how many great and unique options for "fast food" there are here - especially for a mall in the suburbs. My boyfriend and I got two types of waffles from Nordic Waffles (truffle mushroom and berries and cream) and Korean fried chicken. I would say all the food we got was fairly affordable but the chicken was pretty inexpensive for how much we received. I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken but I think that might be because I'm not a fan of that style of cooking/spices that were added to it. We got regular and spicy. My favorite was the berries and cream Nordic waffle. It was busy when we came during lunch hours on a Saturday but I love how brightly lit the space is and again, the many unique options of tasty foods that are not typical for a mall food court - other options included a biscuit place, hummus bar, and Smack Shack. Recommend for a fun meal if you're in the area - unfortunately for me living in Savage it's kind of a trek.

I was a fan of Revival, not sure why that place didn't catch on, so I was psyched to see the revamp. My balloon deflated to give you a visual, with a once around. I liked the choices, many different types of foods available, but the hype was a little much. I was expecting favorites, well known. I knew 3 of the places. Smack Shack, Grand Ol Creamery and Nordic Waffles. No clue on the hype of the others. I guess I don't go to the State Fair much, but I do eat out often and try to follow what's new and delish in the cities, don't get me wrong though, I love trying new restaurants. I checked in with Smack Shack because I have a gift card for the place. They couldn't take it, they said in the future, maybe. The girl really didn't know, I'm understanding, the place is new, but they really need to accept such things in the future, only makes sense. I feel like they dropped the ball too, they opened their doors too early, probably to get that holiday traffic. With the former Revival, there was another couple restaurants and a fun bar upstairs. When I went it wasn't open, no sign of soon to come, here's what were doing...nope, just a thing blocking the escalator. I feel like with such a big space they could have done so much more. Make it inviting and fun place to stay and socialize as you enjoy a beer and unwind from your shopping, a nice respite. Live music would be a nice addition, something, just felt generic. I don't think great food options when I'm out at the mall, though they do offer some nice options as a break from the typical Caribou, Orange Julius and Annie's Pretzels. Will try again another time, maybe once they figure out the upstairs situation.

I'm gonna give 3 stars because I want to root for this thing to work. Overall, the quality of the food that we tried was very good. However, there were a few disappointments: 1) The biscuit from Betty and Earl's was excellent...BUT they serve it with such a tiny plastic container of jam (lemon blueberry in this case) that you can maybe cover one small bite of the biscuit. I suppose I could have gone back and asked for 5 more tiny containers of blueberry jam, but I don't want to have to. If you're selling biscuits, make the Jam slathering a part of the experience for those who want it! 2) The quality and taste of the hummus (red pepper and spinach) were outstanding...BUT they serve a GIANT bowl absolutely full of hummus. It's definitely a snack dish, not a meal. I walked around and saw at least 4 other tables with huge helpings of leftover hummus in their bowls of trash piled up. Nobody is finishing it because it's just way, way too much for one or even two people. The hummus place meals weren't really "meals". There's not really a salad option that marries the hummus and toppings. Kind of strange, but again, great for a snack for a group, or a bunch of hummus you can bring home. 3) The pizza from Grand Ole Creamery tastes very close to a frozen pizza that's reheated. Sad because the pizza that was there before (at Revolution Hall) was actually pretty good. Stick to the ice cream here. 4) I don't eat at Smack Shack after several very mediocre experiences, so didn't try it. 5) I also don't eat at Nordic Waffles after trying them a couple times. They're just too soggy for my taste.. I'll give one more shot to try a burger, but otherwise wouldn't be back around a meal time. The current selection screams "snacks" and not necessarily a place I'll think of for an actual meal.

Their too clever ordering system (when will businesses realize people don't like giving out their phone#'s?) failed and we didn't get a text when our food from Burger Dive and Smack Shack was ready. The toddlers behind the counter at Burger Dive ignored our food as it sat there for 20 minutes. The workers occasionally glanced at the food, but it was beyond their skillset to actually move past the text system and actually call out the name on the ticket. After some debate at our table and growing certainty it was our food going cold, we went and asked for it. I told them I never received a text and waited for some explanation. Nada. These people didn't have an iota of understanding about service. I will never go back to Burger Dive. Smack Shack at least apologized, but when ordering, the two teenagers at the tills never paused the conversation they were having. Rude as hell. The Po-boy was good, but I will get it at another Smack Shack location. Finally, I originally tried to get something from the Hummus Bar, but was ignored by the staff, which I thought was funny since no one else went near the place. I think they'll likely be closing soon due to lack of business and the staff ain't helping. Swing and a miss Rosedale. Too loud, poor service, intrusive ordering system. The old fast food places you took out had better service and better prices.
