Powerhaus Wholesome Pizza & Eats

Enjoyed a couple of great meals at powerhaus! I have some dietary restrictions- their staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions regarding the ingredients used in their pizzas and the cooking process. Tried smoothies and a couple of different pizzas. The smoothies are very filling and the pea pesto was a great twist on a classic. Will be back again!

First things first - this place has the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Forget your normal flat, chewy GF crusts, this thing will rock your world. Second, the owners are very friendly and happy to talk about the quality of their food (as they should, because it is delicious!) The decor inside is nice and light, good vibe. I ended up chatting with the owner about Formula 1, which was in TV and we are both fans. Thank you to Jesse and Mariana for surprising me with the best food experience of the month!

We found them on tiktok and decided to try because they had many vegan pizza options. This was our first time having vegan pizza and it was totally worth it. It's on the pricey side but understandable because vegan cheese is not cheap. We got margarita, Italian sausage and Mediterranean. They were all so delicious and the staff were all so nice. 10/10

Allergy safe and delicious! My fiancé has life threatening food allergies to milk and eggs and powerhaus was took that very seriously and made us a great pizza! Friendly staff fun atmosphere, will be coming again!

Powerhaus is a dream for gluten free and vegan pizza options! I always love this unique and rare combination. Here there are even two types of crust options—cauliflower and fluffy gluten free. Also great options for those that eat everything :) I enjoyed a kombucha with my pizza and it was just the perfect meal! Not only is the pizza delicious, it is a cute spot with a nice feel, plenty of seating and kind people.

I’ve ordered several pizzas and salads from Powerhaus Pizza to cater a work event and it was an absolute hit! The owner, Anisha, and her team made the whole process such a breeze and were an absolute treat to converse/interact with. I’ve also eaten at their restaurant location with my husband and kids. We all have very different food preferences and ordered different pizzas—custom one for my husband, Mediterranean with Cauliflower crust for myself, & pepperoni for the kids—all delicious. The laidback beach decor, jammin music, comfy seating, and wide-open windows enhanced the experience. We couldn’t figure out what drinks to get and the person helping us out recommended a smoothie for the kids and I believe it was the Eden Kombucha for myself and those recommendations were also super good. I would definitely order them for catering & dine in their super rad restaurant again. This is also on my list of recommendations for whenever friends/family visit San Diego!

One of the best parts of delivering for Uber Eats and Postmates is that every now and then, the staff makes too much of something and that was the case today when I popped in for a delivery and I got a free pizza! 😄 cauliflower crust with cheese and pepperoni and it was so good that the last slice barely made it downtown or a sunset snack. Super dank memes, I'm definitely coming back here for more! 😄

What a great place to eat! My wife and I went here while we were on vacation, and it is literally THE BEST gluten-free pizza we have ever had! The dough has such a great rise to it, if I didn't know better, I wouldn't think it was gluten-free. I highly recommend it! The kombucha on-tap is great as well with some great flavor choices. We loved it so much, we went here for dinner both nights we were in town! If we lived in the area, we would for sure eat here regularly!

If you want a large meal that makes you feel good about your choices, check out powerhaus. With a variety of salads, wraps, and pizza that has numerous options for vegetarians and omnivores alike, I'd be surprised if you couldn't find something to enjoy here. The owner was super friendly and takes pride in his restaurant. He made great recommendations and was quick to go into the kitchen to prep our food as soon as we ordered it. Thankfully he had some cold beer on tap to keep our mouths busy while we waited for the food. There were two local beers on tap as well as some hard kombucha plus a few non-alcoholic kombuchas. Plus there were more canned options in the fridge! I ordered a spicy wrap with chicken on a spinach tortilla. It was massive; I could only make it through half of it before taking it home. It was so fresh and delicious - I felt healthy eating it. The decor was cute and welcoming - a nice mural on the wall and hanging plants everywhere - definitely the right vibe for Garnet Ave. I'm not in PB often, but I'll definitely remember this place - it was the perfect post-yoga meal! (good thing the yoga studio is right across the street!)

We ordered some pizza from here for our office lunch. When I picked them up, I thought that they would be bigger, but the crust was thick and toppings were plentiful. We ordered the pepperoni plus, BBQ Chicken, and Meditteranean style pizzas. They use high-quality organic ingredients and the pizzas are healthy as well. Definitely satisfied my cravings and didn't feel bloated afterwards.

Some of the best gluten free pizza I've ever had! The crust didn't even taste like it was gluten free and was a decent size, unlike most gluten free foods. I got the buffalo chicken pizza and added jalapeños and it was the perfect amount of spicy. A little pricey but a tasty treat!

Loved the food! The ambiance was so great and the decor was super cute, I'm pretty sure it's a family owned business wife and husband and their son was also there. The guy let us sample all the draft kombuchas then took our order went to the back and made it while the girl brought us some samples. They really love what they do and will do the most to make sure you're happy. 10/10 for the food and experience we loved it and will be back!

Initially unsure of what to expect from a healthy pizza alternative, I was completely taken by surprise by how much I enjoyed Powerhaus! So many vegan options, wow! I was a little overwhelmed and decided to create my own 14" ($26). I opted for the organic garlic herb crust, as neither whole-grain nor gluten free appealed to me much, which I topped with pea-zza sauce, creamy cashew mozzarella, artichoke hearts, zucchini, and Beyond Meat vegan Italian sausage. I didn't realize the pea-zza sauce was a nut- and dairy-free version of pesto made with veggies. Had I known, I probably would have gotten regular tomato sauce. HOWEVER, it was absolutely delicious and paired really well with the cashew mozzarella. I also later learned that the pea-zza sauce packs some protein - double win. I truly appreciate a business that offers vegan options. Not only did Powerhaus have an abundance of them, but the food itself was delicious, filling, and healthy!! Maybe I can finally stick to my New Years resolution now that I've found nutritiously balanced pizza!

Great pizza! Many options and great customer service. I was nervous to try protein pizza, but it tasted great. No weird after taste. Small inside, but very cute aesthetic.

This place looks cute when I walk or drive by so I decided to try it. It also had good reviews on yelp so that helped me get over the fact that the pizza looked over priced. I got a pizza with the herb crust, and the dough was too salty(kinda like a very salty pretzel). Maybe it was a bad batch where too much got poured in the mix? I also wasn't a fan of the herb dough, and felt like the rest of the pizza(sauce, toppings) were okay, flavors didn't really pop. Probably wouldn't come back. The service was good, the employees were in the back most of the time though.

I was in the Pacific Beach area and came across this place on yelp! I was looking for cauliflower crust pizza in particular, and this was the first place that popped up! I'm so glad because I love supporting smalls businesses! And the owner is a POC! :)) the place was sooo cute! We were greeted immediately. I came around dinner time on a Tuesday and they weren't too busy. Their ingredients are all natural, clean and organic. The cauliflower pizza was a hit! Delicious food and kind service. I can't wait to come back and order it again.

I tried the cauliflower crust pizza and I was a bit disappointed after all of the good reviews. The crust wasn't very crispy and felt a little soggy. I have recently gone gluten free so it may just be a problem with gf crusts in general. The toppings were generous and the sauce was good. I may try their other gf option in the future

The pizza was amazing! I'm lactose intolerant and loved the vegan cheese on my pizza! They had so many options, including for crust. Ambience was a little stiff. Not a lively place with lots of people buzzing around but definitely clean with great socal decor. Great place if you want to hear the person you're eating with.

Great spot to grab a quick bite! Parking located in the back. I got the Cali wrap with chickpeas and it added a nice crunch. The mango apple cider vinaigrette paired nicely and the wrap was a good size. The inside is super cute and they have several options other than pizza. Would definitely come back again!

The wait time was not too bad and their pizza was worth the wait. My family and I stepped in after a long day at Sea World. We sat down and we Made ourselves comfortable. We ordered a few pizzas and when they arrived to their outdoor living room style setup. We grubbed down. There was silence as we slowly devoured each slice full of rich flavors and overall goodness. Thank you Powerhaus, for a delicious meal. My kiddos and I salute you!

Updated review: Service is going downhill, Google claims it's open and when I get there it's closed. And when they are open, they don't answer the phone when you try to order. Makes no sense because it's never packed. Food is good but service is up&down. :/

The pizza here was just alright. It could be that because we had the pizza catered and it had sat for a while. The crust was a bit tough and not very flavorful. Overall it was just an acceptable pizza. Perhaps I need to eat the pizza fresh out of the oven in order to give a better assessment of the food. I would give it another try but wasn't all super impressed.

Mariana helped us out today and she was so sweet! She had the best food suggestions. We got the barbecue chicken pizza and a date smoothie and everything was so good! Ingredients are all whole and smoothie had no added sugars or juice!

Do ally good and SAFE gluten free pizza! Anyone with a severe gluten intolerance or Celiac knows how hard it is to get SAFE gluten free pizza that doesn't make them sick! This pizza didn't give my celiac kiddos stomach ache, it tasted great and also tested gluten free with my Nima tester. Will definitely be ordering here again!

Such great pizza! My brother usually turns his nose up at "healthy" labeled things, but both of us were well satisfied by the offerings here. I had a vegan margherita pizza that was fantastic, and he had a pepperoni pizza. My pie was flavorful, well balanced, and not too much vegan cheese (a common mistake). I also appreciated that they seemed to use a nice cashew based vegan cheese which is really lovely on pizza. The space was cute, clean, and with the windows open on a lovely summer day, just perfect for an evening near the beach. Everyone was really nice and accommodating as well.

The food was great the service was also fantastic. However the parking sucked. Ambiance could have been better...the tables could have glass or epoxy to have a cleaner feel

I was pleasantly surprised with the pepperoni pizza on a whole grain with flax and plant protein crust. I have had similar ones in the past, and this particular one is by far the best I have encountered, especially when it comes to texture and flavor. The 10" pizza came with a zesty tomato sauce, tasty uncured & nitrate free pepperoni slices, mozzarella cheese, green peppers, and button mushrooms for $12. They also offer a larger 14" pizza and you can go with only pepperoni as well. After I bit into the first slice, the flavors of the whole grain hit me right away in a good way. The flavor was wholesome and inviting. It had and good crisp edge and a semi softness inside and a bit of a good chew. I liked it, and if I was on strict whole grain diet, I certainly would have this again. The pepperoni was terrific, the peppers and mushrooms where uniformly slices and cut for ease of eating and even cooking. The red sauce was offered a more acidic flavor then sweetness, hence the term "zesty." Minimizing that that acidity would help balance the pizza as a whole. However, if that's what was intended, then you roll with it. Service was good. Even after a late start, Anisha was able to roll out the pizza and several other orders for other patrons in a reasonable amount of time, not that I was in any hurry. Anisha, the owner, is enthusiastic about the business, and for good reason. She provides a quality healthy products with not only good for you, but with clear vision that "healthy foods" can taste good too.

YOOOOOO I have to say no exaggeration this is the best pizza I've ever had hands down & I'm from east coast. The ingredients are FRESH and the CHUNKS of quality buffalo chicken with the fresh cilantro is MUCHO DELIZIOSO !!! The crust options are amazing and the ratio of crust to sauce to cheese to toppings is ALL ON POINT. The pizza is a tad pricey but this is NOT your average run of the mill greasy 12.99 cheese pizza. This pizza is packed with nutrition and taste WAYYYYYY better than your average pizza. I also like you can add pea protein to your dough for extra protein packed pizza ! I hit the gym a lot so always looking for extra protein. VEGAN LOVERS look no further. They got all the options for you - not to mention their smoothies!!!! When the owner isn't working her ass off I catch her sometimes and she's fun and friendly and the entire staff is beautiful and pleasant. Jessica helped me this past evening. She is a rockstar and literally made me the best pizza I've ever had in my life! THANK YOU !

Everything I have had here is delicious. Well, not a wine type of place but they do have it. They have a wide variety of different types of drinks, but alternative style drinks, which I appreciate. There are menu items and anything can be customized. It's a nice location. Outside and inside seating. Beachy decor. Cute boutique stuff. Inviting staff. Healthy. Vegan & gluten free. Fun place. Love going here with friends.

The pizza here is unreal! Loveeee the ambience and vegan options. Our server Linda was super sweet and full of recommendations. (Ordering tip: do NOT sleep on the BBQ chicken pizza. We tried three different pizzas and this was hands down the best. Wish we would have ordered more of it. )

Amazing pizza and greens juice. I went there while I was visiting San Diego and ordered the Buffalo chicken and mushroom pizzas. The garlic crust had a lot of flavor and was very unique not overly garlic. The chicken looked to be chicken breast and the ingredients were extremely fresh. After eating both of them for 2 people we were extremely full. It was the type of full where you feel good which is unusual for pizza. Full but didn't feel disgusting. They also had these wonderful Kava drinks called Leilo. Felt really relaxed after drinking the raspberry one. We also ordered a greens juice and it was made fresh and tasted great!

Awesome! We tried 3 crusts: cauliflower, gluten-free, and garlic herb. My son said it was the best pizza he has eaten. We all love it. The owner is super, super nice!.

Pepperoni Mushroom Pizza. Do you like crunch thin crust and delicious toppings? Here is the place! They have the most delicious toppings to choose but we went with Garlic crust and pepperoni and wow! I'd eat here every day. Just visiting from out of town and my mind is blown. The Apple pie kombucha taste like real freaking apple pie. You can taste the crust. You can taste the apple pie. You can taste the whip cream. My pizza was also out of this world. Make sure to try the pea-zza sauce. Wow.

Health-Driven Pizza? Yes Please! When I went to Power Haus Pizza I got the Buffalo chicken pizza with garlic herb crust, superfood salad, and a kombucha flight! Everything was delicious and I liked the big portions of chicken they add to the pizza! As someone who works out regularly, I appreciate the protein portion! Check them out next time you go to Pacific Beach, they also have vegan protein options too!

I had a craving for some pizza pie. I had the gluten free pesto pizza with wheat crust and he had the vegan sausage pizza. I had a green smoothie and he had jiant beer.

Powerhouse Pizza lives up to its name. The location is really great with welcoming Ambience and staff. I tried their buffalo chicken which was really good. The only downside is the unfortunate strong smell of urine near the seating area, which really is off putting while eating a pizza.

Always looking for a clean and quick spot to grab a yummy salad. This checked all the boxes! Very friendly too. I live close by and will be back.

I have been seeing their delicious pizza on Instagram. When you are gluten and dairy free you always keep an eye out for food thats delicious and tasty to eat. The care taken to create such delicious pizza was not lost on me. The restaurant is the most adorable place and has really good vibes. They had some amazing looking smoothies and salads. I can't wait to come back and try more. My husband kept asking if his pizza was indeed gluten free because it didn't taste like it. If you are like me and would drive for miles for something you can eat you will not be disappointed

Got the mushroom pizza but had barely any mushrooms on it and it was soaked with balsamic vinegar which made it too sour!

I know what you're thinking - vegan cashew mozzarella. Yes yes, it does sound disgusting. But much to my surprise, the veggie pizza was delicious and I did not mind it at all. My stomach thanked me afterwards as well. All you need to make this go to a 10/10 is some ranch dip. Can't wait to try bbq chicken next.

Ordered catering from Powerhaus through ez-cater and it was a 10/10 experience! Pizzas arrived on time and hot. I selected the pizza party package that came with a salad and added 3 additional pizzas for our group. I loved that I was still able to order pizzas for my vegetarian and gluten sensitive coworkers. Everyone was extremely happy with the catering. I had several employees ask me what shop I ordered from and that I put Powerhaus in our catering rotation.

This is the first time I tried wholesome pizza. My husband was a little hesitate at the beginning since he's half Italian which is normally picky about pizzas. But he's on Keto diet now, so he decided to give this healthy pizza a try. He ordered a low carb crust - the whole grain flax seed protein one with Mediterranean toppings on. And then, oh my god. It is so delicious. I won't really do a comparison to the normal pizza, because it's different but it is so good. Very light, but very flavorful. I'll say, this is one of the best healthy pizzas we have ever had. I highly recommend.

I always have the most amazing experience when I'm here. Found this place on Yelp, gave it a try, and I don't regret it one bit! The owner Anisha is just one of the most amazing people, and super passionate about her business here and you can feel it, even in the food! Highly recommended, and will definitely be back!

My go-to spot for pizza in PB! I love their gluten free crust and the care they take in making each pizza. My favorites are the BBQ Chicken and the Mushroom pizza. But anything you order will be awesome. They are served in cute boxes too!

This is the best healthy pizza I have ever had. The pizza is always fresh out of the oven. It is also super very filling and is a satisfying meal. The man who assisted us was so kind and had no problems splitting the bill even though we called in the orders together. I will be returning tomorrow to try another item off the menu! P.S. if you have a email letter and coupons I would like to sign up!

Honestly I've traveled the world and I think the Buffalo chicken pizza from here was the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. It tasted like I was forced to suck on a bottle of Frank's red hot. No worse... like the aftertaste once you've vomited and the gastric juices are still singeing your tongue. The sauce was like pure vinegar, the cheese layer was so thin and almost undetectable... all of it was presented on a plastic plate. Acrid food presented on an old plastic plate. I even informed the staff that the food was very bad, and they expressed virtually no consideration... "an awww sorry" was all we got. I'm not a food snob, but I have good taste. I might need a short break from pizza after this haha. Sorry Powerhaus. I know you can do better. I like that they're trying to offer organic and clean ingredients. But try is much different than do. Step it up yoooo, definitely never going back. This is the most scathing review I've ever left anywhere tbh

Fun little walk in shop that sells some great single serving pizza and shakes. This place is great for diets of all kinds (Gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian choices). I like the casual atmosphere, the beach vibes, and the staff. That being said I wish you could order a larger pizza as they only serve 10" pizzas. As a vegan pizza eater I've been to all the pizza joints in San Diego and I was happily surprised with what I found here. Nice crisp crust and delicious vegan cheese were happily stuffed into my face hole. Not the best pizza I've ever had but definitely good. Bbq Chicken Pizza - 4/5 - We got this pizza vegan, substituting vegan cheese and chicken for the normal toppings. It was great with a light but crispy crust and lots of cheese. It is not much food though and I was hungry and wanting more when done. I also ordered the date shake which was absolutely awesome. I'd recommend it if you're like me and bought the groupon and needed to spend $20. With dates, bananas, cinnamon, and almond butter, what's not to love? Maybe the $8 price tag...

I've been here twice now, once to try it for the first time and the second, to try their new garlic herb crust. I follow a group of women in fitness who frequent Powerhaus. Of course, I had to go. It's a minimalist little spot in Pacific Beach. The first time, I chose the wheat crust and felt it was a little too dry. The second time I had the same Hawaiian pizza on garlic herb crust and liked it. I would come back to try their cauliflower crust, which my friend says is thin and crispy. It's not the best pizza ever, but I do appreciate being able to eat pizza that has protein and is healthier. Maybe I should try to make my own? Probably not though.

I have been loving finding new and healthy alternatives for foods that typically aren't the healthiest. Powerhaus Wholesome Pizza has 4 different crust options including a cauliflower crust (which is SOOO good I could barely tell the difference). From having a wide variety of already curated pizzas to being able to build your own all of their ingredients are extremely fresh and high quality and they even have some out of the box toppings as well including vegan "meat" options. I love being able to support local businesses in my neighborhood and this one never disappoints!

Came here for a smoothie after yoga. I got the strawberry sunrise with grass-fed whey. It's cool they add protein but I feel like it weighs the texture down. Pretty pricey for a smoothie $10.50. It's a cool place though
