Its tough, nigh impossible for a kouign amann to be this good! They even look like a kouign amann. (I'm looking at you Tatte) Finely executed array of patisseries on display make difficult decisions more gloriously painful. Coffee with delicate flavors from drip - an achievement well appreciated. Service impeccably kind and generous. Only two stools to sit, but somehow fits the feel. Fine, French. Fantastic.

Google
Small bakery, pretty much take out only, that’s serving some great quality French pastries! While the variety is not super large, they do everything really well! The Berry croissant had great layers and a yummy jam in the middle, but next time I have to try the almond croissants which looked great! Coffee was okay, but the pastries are really where they shine, will be coming back to try more!

All the reviews speak for themselves—this place is amazing! Great food, great service, and, you guessed it, a great vibe. Following recommendations from the server, we tried the raspberry croissant, plain croissant, tea, and cappuccino (not pictured)—all made to perfection. The croissants were light and fluffy with a crisp outside. The shop’s side seating is quiet and cozy, and they also sell a variety of imported packaged food. Looking forward to trying their macarons next time.

What a wonderful experience! A truly French Bakery! The ambience is small and cosy. The croissant is perfect with richness of real butter flavour, all those layers visible in the picture. We also had macaroons, hazelnut Opera, an almond and pear tart and a hazelnut eclair. The real chocolate flavour and richness of texture fills your mouth like any other thing i had before. I truly recommend. It's a fine French pastry lovers experience. Looking forward for the next visit! Congratulations for all the staff and chefs.

Google
The best pastry shop I've tried in this area until now. I have tried their tarts and macarons and they are of an exceptional quality compared to many other local pastry shops. I love European pastry tradition from Italy and France and I can say this is the closest it can get to that level of quality. Definitely my favorite pastry shop for now!! 😁❤️🇨🇵

Unfortunately we don't live close to this wonderful authentic French pastry shop. But it's totally worth the 40-minutes drive. Absolutely love everything there, especially the pear tart and raspberry tart. And don't miss their delicious Mont Blanc, I was told it's only available in winter holiday months.

Incredibly good French pastries! The Opera Cake, hazelnut and the coffee eclair so far. Both like you’re back in Paris!

Enjoyed coffee and pastries here on 4th of July. Was a little bit crowded. Food and coffee were good. Friendly people. Not much space to sit down inside except 2 people high chair seating in front of 2 widows. Definitely go back.

Yelp
Best croissant I've had! It was so flaky and crispy. The girl at the store was so nice and explained all the teas they had to me. It's a nice small, clean store and they have delicious pastries!

Yelp
Praline's chocolate/caramel Bouche de Noel is a seasonal trifecta of beauty, deliciousness & gluten free! It's made with layers of dark & milk chocolate cream and a heavenly white chocolate-caramel layer sprinkled w/French Fleur de Sel. They build it on their flourless chocolate cake and top it off with a dark chocolate glaze. Their croissants are also delicious!

Yelp
We stopped by Praline on a Saturday morning. It was not too busy, so we took our time deciding what to order. We ended up getting the paris-brest and Almond Pear Tart. The paris-brest had a pretty thick cream while the pastry itself was soft. Although the hazelnut flavor was quite prominent, it was not too sweet. The almond pear tart stole the show. It tasted as gorgeous as it looked. The tart itself was soft and buttery. The pears and almond blended perfectly without overpowering one another. Same as the other pastry, this was not too sweet. If I had the stomach room, I would have tried some of their other desserts as they had quite a variety of croissants and quiche as well.

Yelp
I have been on the hunt for mariage freres tea and this bakery is the only place that sells it! I spoke with one of the owners (I think) and he is Moroccan so he is very knowledgeable about tea. He gave me a few suggestions so I got a few boxes for my friends and I. The tea bags cost $30, which is the same price as online. Very thankful he doesn't upcharge on the tea even though he totally could!! I also had a croissant and it was so delicious with my new tea :) can't wait to finish my supply and be back for more!

Yelp
A delectable French patisserie that reminds me of my days in Paris. I'm lucky to have Praliné within easy reach. It's been a pleasure being their customer for several years now, with such kind owners and staff. Their cozy little shop has glass cases of pastries, macarons, and fresh croissants (and other viennoisseries), alongside a shelf of imported teas, jams, and other treats. You can pick up a hot coffee or tea and sit at one of the couple counter spots. But I'm usually here for the baked goods. I come for macarons, which are naturally gluten free worth that crisp shell and chewy interior. The quality can sometimes differ between flavors and the particular day, but generally they are quite good. My favorite flavors are the creamy espresso, tart black current violet, and tangy mango passion fruit. For those who freely enjoy gluten, the croissants are flaky and buttery, especially the one with chocolate (pain au chocolat). I've gotten several of the case pastries as special treats for birthdays and housewarmings, and they've always been crowd pleasers, especially the opera cake and various tarts. When I want particular flavors of jam that I can't get in the regular grocery store, like chestnut/marron or golden plum/mirabelle, I know I can pick it up here (Bonne Maman or another brand). They also carry Mariage Frère and another French brand of loose leaf tea. I do wish they carried baguettes (they did a long while back), but no matter. Everything else is house made and delicious, so I will be back again and again!

Yelp
I've had Praline bookmarked for ages and am so glad I finally had an opportunity to try this little bakery in Belmont. We came later in the day and, while some of the offerings looked to have been sold out, I was happy to see the thing that I wanted to try the most, the hazelnut opera cake, still available. It's a small piece for about $6-7 but undeniably worth it. The craftsmanship is insane. I counted about four separate layers, beautifully clean and precise, each one requiring its own set of ingredients and technique. Opera cake is one of those things I've resigned to never being able to make myself - the layers are sponge, buttercream, ganache, and a crispy bottom. Talk about a hefty GBBO challenge. This one was so good I had to restrain myself from gobbling the whole thing and took back half of it for my husband to try. They also offer a number of imported treats and snacks, including Bonne Maman (aka, the maker of my favorite jams) chocolate caramel tartlets. I'll have to try the macarons and croissants next but ... that opera cake is still calling my name. Parking: A few parallel parking spots right in front, as well as some more spots on the next street over.

Yelp
The owner was kind enough to reach out and replace this order. Got to try three croissants this time--almond, chocolate, and plain. These seemed like a quintessential French buttery croissant (though I haven't had the pleasure of trying them out of the oven in the morning). The plain and chocolate were particularly flaky and puffy, and the almond has a good amount of almond paste and crispy sweet crunchy almond over the top. Most importantly, we were able to get those great flavors we previously expected, without the strange cleaner flavor we got last time. The owner says they rectified the situation and I'm glad to confirm that that does indeed seem to be the case. A tip: It's a good idea to call ahead and set things aside before you head over. Quite a few times they've run out of some items I've been interested in when I showed up, most recently the Paris best, ham and cheese croissant, and today I had the last almond. Glad to see they're popular and doing well during the pandemic!

Yelp
It was Sunday afternoon and we were looking for a cute pastry shop with coffee. I had previously stopped by for Macarons and coffee, both of which were excellent, so I decided to stop by again. This time I tried a cappuccino as well as half a raspberry passion fruit tart and half of an apple pastry. They were both delicious. The tart was a bit on the expensive side at almost $10, but it was worth it. The fruit was fresh and sweet, and the consistency was just exquisite. You would take a bite and it felt like it melt on your mouth. The apple pastry was crunchy on the outside and the apple jelly in the middle was flavorful. The coffee was nothing out of the ordinary but it was good. The attendant was friendly and quick. She made a few recommendations on other savory treats we can try next time. The shop itself is very cute and well kept. There's a few seats if you prefer to eat your treats here but it looks like most people take them to go. I look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
I LOVE the chocolate twist here... just like the ones I'd get in Paris! The macarons are pretty good but pricey at $3 each. If the prices were lower I'd come a lot more often and try more of their pretty desserts and savory items.

Yelp
Such a hidden gem in Belmont. The service and pastries are both incredible! Tried their Hazelnut Opera Cake and it was the perfect balance of richness and sweetness. The lady and gentleman behind the counter were both so nice and gave us great recommendations. Parking was also easy, there's plenty of spots right outside. Authentic French pastries and lovely service, not much more you can ask for ~

Yelp
Picked up some food from Praline on Saturday morning. The Croissant is definitely the way to go here, but expect prices to be high. Quality: Grabbed a few items for breakfast at Praline. The Croissant Ham & Cheese was the the better of the two items I tried. A nice flaky pastry with rich swiss cheese and smoky ham inside. While it is a bit pricey, it was very good. I was less impressed with the Spinach Quiche. I felt neither the consistency or the flavor wholly worked. I don't know if I picked the wrong option with spinach, but the interior felt too soft and almost watery. Quantity: Decent size portions. Value: $8 for the Croissant Ham & Cheese. $8 for the Spinach Quiche. Ambiance: Praline is a small bakery located in the Watertown area of Boston. They are a little shop without any seating. They have several display cases of their fresh pastries and desserts. They also have some other prepared and baking products for sale. Crowd: Only guests on a Saturday morning. Service: Friendly staff. Parking: Easy street parking right out front.

Yelp
I seek out kouign amann wherever I am as most French bakeries do not offer it, especially on the west coast. There are many French bakeries in the Boston area that do offer it and I've tried several Praline's were quite small but very very scrumptious. Their other offerings looked good but were also small. I had 2 kouign amanns and really enjoyed them. If they were larger, as almost all I've had are, I'd definitely give Praline 5 stars. Well worth the trip to Belmont!

Yelp
Ordered: Macarons (Coconut, Passion/Mango, Pistachio, Expresso, Salted Caramel, Hazelnut), Pistachio Almond Dark Chocolate, Praliné Hazelnut Dark Chocolate, Passion/Mango Dark Chocolate I came here based on the raving reviews, but I truly don't understand the hype. The macrons are subpar at best. The flavors tasted very artificial and the macarons didn't have the classic chewy texture. I've tried a few macaron places in Boston and this one was definitely the most disappointing. The chocolates were slightly better, but not worth the price. Overall, wouldn't recommend as the quality is lacking.

Erin L.

Yelp
No seating due to Mass law, but amazing pastries, tea, coffee, croissants and so much more. A true gem!

Charlo M.

Yelp
Their croissants are the best in town, and their coffee is very good. They also sell fancy pastries and macarons, but I have stuck to the croissants. The service is good, and parking is usually easy too.

Yelp
Great pastries, especially the opera cake and the chocolate caramel tart! I also don't really care for pear tarts, but theirs was tasty! The leek quick was very tasty as well. Eclairs and Paris Brest were solid but didn't stand out. Would definitely come back to try fresh croissants!

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite bakery and it's kinda a hidden gem because not a lot of people know about it. I still love my Tatte and Tous Les Jours, etc but no place makes tarts/cakes that taste as exquisite as Praline. Being Asian, finding non-Asian dessert is tricky because it needs to be sweet but not too sweet, so most chocolate goodies and many cakes are not an option for me. But Praline is perfection - the pear almond tart is to die for and my personal favorite, I love lemons so the lemon tart is a must order for me, raspberry/passion fruit tart is well balanced and great as well (and I normally don't like either flavors), and I actually enjoy the chocolate caramel tart which is super indulgent and smooth without being sickeningly sweet! Being a French bakery, they of course offer croissants, Madeline's, macaroons, and even canneles but these tend to sell out earlier.

Cute, small, friendly, and authentically-French :) Lots of pastries and drink options!

Yelp
Unbelievable, as good as the best pastry shops in France. They put just the right amount of sugar; I don't like heavily sugared desserts they sell almost everywhere. These are refined desserts, perfectly executed. You can see people put their time, energy, skill and pride into creating these pastries and cakes. Yes, they are a bit on the expensive side, but I would rather save and order once a week from here than have many random desserts from other places. I cannot say anything about the shop and experience inside as we had our order delivered. Every time we are near Boston, we will make sure to get something from Praline. Thank you to the owners and pastry chefs for this perfection!

Yelp
Five stars? But of course! How could it be otherwise? A French patisserie, complete with French thé, candies, assorted yum yum, French chefs, French this and French that. All essentially for free (if you factor in the fact that you don't need the plane ticket and hotel costs of actually going to France!). A simple croissant has a light and shatteringly crispy crust. The individual quiche-tart is light as a cloud and overflowing with fresh flavor. The macarons? OMG. The colors dazzle the eyes as much as the flavors entrance the taste buds. Pro tip - clear your palate with water before taking a bite. Then close your eyes and let the flavors slowly unfurl. The currant and violet - so amazing. A concentrated punch of currant with the whisper of violet lightly rising up from the depths. The chocolate? Deep and rich - the mother lode of chocolate essence. You owe it to yourself to try their Thé Mariages Frerés. Ask for their recommendation and then go for it - you'll be happy you did. I had the Marco Polo with soy milk and honey crystals. Nothing to do with my insights - it's the way Yanis thought it went best. I wouldn't have guessed it but ... boom. Excellent call. Well worth a long drive.

Yelp
A sure sign of authenticity? One or more employees can be heard speaking French. English with a strong French accent is also acceptable. Oh the chef grew up in France and went to French pastry school, I guess that counts too.... Praline is one of the more authentic french pastry bakeries I've come across, down to the almond croissants and macaroons. Cookies, teas, tarts, cakes....there's even a few crepe options available, made to order. It would take a least a dozen visits before you had a chance to taste all the wonderful creations of Praline. With a name like Praline, I expected to walk into an ode to everything New Orleans. Nope...this is Parisian through and through. Granted not many places have been influenced by the French as much as New Orleans has, but they have a unique culture of their own. Wait...I'm blabbing aren't I? Let's reign it in. Can't catch a flight to Paris? Catch an Uber to Praline instead! Better yet do lyft, save some money, and use that extra money for an extra croissant....

Yelp
Great assortment of pastries with high quality ingredients, good freshness, and reasonable prices given the quality. Intense chocolate flavor in the chocolate tart. Good flakiness and buttery flavor in the croissants. Beautiful execution in the coffee eclair and mini cakes. So many more things to try.

Yelp
Delicious chocolates. The presentation was beautiful. My girlfriend loved her box of chocolates. The person helping me was very helpful in organizing the chocolates and making them look elegant and nice. The chocolate/almond filled croissant is delicious. With the recommendation of the helper, i microwaved it for a few seconds to melt the insides...WINNER WINNER Def will be back to try more delectables.

Yelp
Any place that has a variety of exotic teas, appealing looking confectionaries and can make a perfect cup of latte, oh you know I'll be there. Praline is a lovely little French pastry shop right on the calm and charming street of Belmont. Inside, it's bright, open and each items are beautifully displayed for customers to work their way around like an art exhibit. It's worth checking out. Almond Croissant- A little on the firmer side compared to the classics fluffy croissants but it's to hold on the creamy almond clustered inside. Excellent pastry. Jasmin Mandarin Tea Latte w/ Vanilla Syrup- Magic in a cup. Green tea with floral notes and the vanilla syrup for a hint of sweetness. Macarons- Not too airy, vibrate color palette and all flavorful. Just an exquisite little dessert. Overall Service: Very-very sweet. The lady was welcoming and handled the transaction wonderfully.

Yelp
An authentic French pastry shop which is certified by my French friends. Not only the presentation is beautiful but the taste and the texture are just awesome. One thing I like about the party here is they don't add too much sugar. All the pastry here is not sweet at all. I've tried most of the pastry in the their fridge, and my favorite ones are religieuse vanilla, mille-feuille and lemon tart. Would like to try their macaroons and chocolate next time. By the way, the coffee is good as well, and the staff provides great and friendly service.

Yelp
Like to start off by sharing that I purchased a box or 2 of treats from Praline every week to share it with friends and family this past month because it is just so good that I want to share with everyone! Their treats are rich but not overly sweet! My favorites are the Coffee Eclair, any of the Opera cakes, lemon tart and chocolate tart! Staff at Praline were always friendly and attentive (big plus!) Praline is a gem.

Yelp
I cant believe it took me this long to try out this local patisseriein my town! Im so so glad I did because these were hands down some of the best french pastries in the greater Boston area. A bag of madeleines comes with five buttery madeleines that melt in your mouth. It is moist, not too light nor dense, and not too sweet! I genuinely savored each one. Macarons are my favorite dessert item and I have tried bouchon, laduree, etc. And these are definitely on par with bakeries that are internationally famous. The shell is perfectly chewy and crispy. There is a perfect amount of filling. The filling itself has robust flavors. And it's also not too sweet! Now that I know how good they are, I know I will be coming here for most of my sweet tooth needs.

Yelp
I've wanting to try Praline for awhile now and I'm very happy that I did! I'm a big fan of Macarons, however, I have high standards after having studied abroad in Paris and had the pleasure of tasting some of the best! I went to Praline on a rainy Sunday and the store was completely empty. I got several pasties and a dozen macarons (I know it's a lot, but I really wanted to try most flavors!). I was actually a bit disappointed about the pasties - although the flavor was good, they didn't taste fresh and I felt like they've been sitting there for at least a day or two.. Maybe they just don't make anything new on Sunday :( But I did enjoy almost all the flavors of macarons and here is my ranking of the ones I tried (know that this is highly personal): 1. Salted Caramel!! (Perfectly crunchy on the outside but gooey and chewy on the inside. May have been THE best caramel flavored macaron I've ever had) 2. Black Current/violet (You'll love this if you like the tartness of the fruit filling mixed in with the sweetness of the crust) 3. Passion fruit mango (Juicy and refreshing) 4. Vanilla (The cream inside was so fluffy!) 5. Hazelnut (Get it if you like Nutella) 6. Raspberry 7. Coconut 8. Pistachio

Yelp
I never really got into the macaron craze. Sure, they're fancy French cookies, but they're just cookies. Even after sampling macarons from Ladurée, I could still take or leave them. Well, these macarons converted me! They're the perfect texture--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside--and the flavors are so intense. You can get a gift box of 4 for $10, or individual macarons for $2.50 each. Definitely not cheap but worth the splurge! It was hard to choose from the huge selection of flavors, but I tried marshmallow, coconut, raspberry, and violet-black currant. The shells themselves just taste like meringue; the punch of flavor comes from a filling of buttercream, jam, curd, or ganache. Definitely don't miss the violet-black currant, which sounds weird, but it's a classic French flavor combination! The coconut buttercream was also super fluffy and full of flavor. The only flavor I wasn't crazy about was marshmallow; the marshmallow filling was weird, and the shell was a little stale. I definitely want to come back and try the pastries and espresso! Unfortunately at ~12pm there weren't so many pastries left. Praliné would also be the perfect place to pick up a fancy dessert for a dinner party or hostess gift! I can't wait to stop by this convenient Belmont Ave. shop again!

Yelp
This place is amazing. The food is delicious, the pastries are to die for, and the coffee is quite good. It seems a bit pricey but once you try it, you know it's worth every single penny. The staff are also super nice and polite. I've never taken the time to write a yelp review but this place was definitely worth it. Maybe it's the chocolate Croissant and mocha coffee talking but this place is underrated for sure!

Yelp
The opera cake with its many very thin layers must be a pain in the ass to make and is my favorite. Their fine pastry is what I come here for. Sometimes it's best to call ahead or order online because they can sell out. Really my review is pretty much about that one piece of cake but their other fine pastry is delicious too. Wish they were open later. Don't love their croissants. Macaroons and chocolate are also delicious.
google avatar

Hubert H.

Yelp
Gorgeous sweets, in particular the opera cake was really delightful - really full of layers, gently subtle flavors and textures, and really well balanced between chocolate, sweetness. The macarons are excellent as well. Definitely pricy, but really worth it, given the amount of skill they put on display.

Luke V.

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic French pastries -- eclairs, Paris-Brest, chocolate-caramel tarts, and macarons, made comme il faut -- this is the best place in the Boston area. (Go to Clear Flour in Brookline for breads and baked goods). The owners are themselves from France and happy to speak in French with you. It's not cheap, but the quality matches the price. There is also a selection of French imported products that are often not easy to find in the US. The flavored marshmallows (guimauves) are really good.
google avatar

Yelp
What a cute little bakery! We got a box of macaroons with: -chocolate - super light and fudgy -caramel - rich and decadent -rose - tasted exactly like how my rose petal face toner smells, so good! -praline hazelnut -like a fluffy godiva chocolate! -passionfruit with mango - one of their most popular -black currant and violet - tasted like how purple should taste They were all delicious and the cashier was really nice and helpful. Their coffee was average and they didn't have cream when I went but black coffee complimented the macaroons nicely so it worked out!

Yelp
Sometimes it's the small things that really distinguish good from great bakeries. Placed an order ahead of time (easy online ordering system), and they actually called ahead to let me know that my order would take a little longer (even though it was only 15 min later than my scheduled time). I really appreciated this since the last thing you want to be doing these days is waiting around somewhere or idling. The pastries were executed perfectly. Unique flavor combinations, and some really great patisseries that I have a hard time finding elsewhere. The Paris-Brest and the Religieuse were PHENOMENAL. Their Buche de Noel is really cute and they have a wide variety of sizes so they make great gifts. They even included cute little santa and present decorations on top. It was the highlight of my holiday desserts. The hazelnut buche de noel was delicious, as was the white chocolate and passionfruit. I'd easily pass by this place if I hadn't discovered them on IG and I'm sooo happy I did. For fine patisserie, I think their prices are fair as well and are pretty on par with similar bakeries in the area. I will definitely return here since they make a lot of pastries that other stores don't offer. They also have a great selection of teas and jams for purchase which make great gifts. Didn't get the chance to try any of their coffees, but definitely will next time along with their crepes!

Yelp
This place is super cute and the people there are so sweet. My kids are macaroon addicts and connoisseur of the art. We ventured over here and they were pretty impressed by their selection and taste. While I think you can not compare the lavender or pistachio to Burdick's, this shop comes pretty darn close to the delicateness of those flavors. Another wonderful aspect is the handmade chocolates - they are beautiful and I am told, by my hubby whom I bought a heart shaped one for, they are delicious. This is nice addition to Belmont and I hope they manage alright with all the construction and parking issues that go with the rehabbing of Trapelo Road.

Yelp
Though finding street parking can be a little tough, it's worth it for this little unexpected nugget of authentic French delectibles tucked away in the greater Boston area. It is seriously the ONLY place I can reliably find my favorite French tea line, Mariage Frères. They sell varieties beyond what you find at Dean and Deluca, selling the more specialty teas, like their Héritage Gourmand line, which has the Cannelé flavor. I bought the Year of the Dragon and Calisson teas awhile back, and will be coming back to restock. The tins are gorgeous, and a pro tip: The standard black Mariage tins can be re-labeled to be used for other teas. Their price point is reasonable for imported tea, and comparable to what you'd pay at Dean & Deluca. They also carried the Favols preserves line (the fruits rouges is a personal favorite). The staff is a treat, and are always polite and helpful. I called in once to see if they had a certain tea in stock, and they cheerfully helped me out. The macarons I had weren't especially memorable when compared to what I enjoyed at Ladurée & 'lette though they share a similar price point, but I may give their other pastries a chance.

Yelp
AMAZING PASTRIES! They are fresh and tasty! I'd say one of the few GOOD pastry shops in Boston!! The store people are also very friendly! I love this place I keep getting their Madeleine, Hazelnut pastry and chocolate eclair!

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for quite some time, but every time I find myself in the area, it's been on a Monday, when the store is closed. The decor inside is clean, and I like the white and avocado-green wall paint that's inside of the store. Some may find the decor too unimaginative, though. There's no seating area to speak of, unfortunately. Service was friendly, though perhaps overly enthusiastic for some. It was almost as if the owner wanted to explain everything, even though it was unnecessary. Consider the following dialogue: Me: I'll take a kouign-amann, please. Owner, You know what it is, right? Me: Yes, I've had them before. Owner: [proceeds to explain what they are] Me: -_- The kouign-amann here is pretty good, though different from other places (such as Flour). It's not that blossoming shape, but a circular swirl like a cinnamon bun. Additionally, Praline's version has a syrup surrounding it, whereas other places have it more flaky texture on the outside like a croissant. I might like Flour's a little more but this one comes close. The plain croissant is pretty sizable and has the right texture for a legitimate croissant. However, it was likely baked at too high of a temp. While the inside was airy, the outside was a bit charred. Yeah, it was flaky, but there was more-than-a-hint of burnt flavor to it. Also, this croissant is straight and not curved (Yelper points out that straight = butter and curved = margarine). I guess I like Clear Flour's more, but this one wasn't bad. The madeleine was pretty moist and had a good hint of vanilla. I've had others that overdo it with the vanilla and the cake is bone dry. The raspberry and praline hazelnut macarons? I gave them to someone special, so I can't tell you how they tasted. Let's just say they had a positive evaluation.

Yelp
I bought the berry passion fruit tart and the hazelnut opera. The opera was decent but the tart was amazing. The desserts are on the smaller side but the croissants were "enormes"/ginormous.

Yelp
A tiny bakery in the middle of Boston. I'm in Boston about once a month or so. Each time I always try out a new bakery, since they have so many classic French Pastry shops litters about. I don't think I've come across to many sub par ones I ether. Praline was one of the best. -Lemon Meringue Tart, now that was a thing of beauty. Beauty to my stomach. I loved the lemony tartness. I'd say this is a must if your in the area.

Yelp
The caneles are burnt gloriously for a buttery, bitter, custard-like bite that's at first disarming, then complex and wonderful. And Praline does them right. Know what else? Macarons. Oh damn. Their pastry is a dual-textured marvel, with floral flavors of lavender or a decadent, earthy nuttiness in the pistachio. And Praline does them right. Croissants, though. Just one frustratingly flakey croissant in every person's hands, and there'd be no room for violence. Because all our hands would be full of croissants, and like Nana used to say, "hands full croissants can't make mistakes." So, stock up on croissants. And Praline does them right. Savory palmers for $1.50? I buy them all. No palmiers for you. Eat your bundle of hand croissants.

Yelp
Every now and then you find a place that transports you around the world. Praline does that. From the moment you walk in, it's apparent this is not just another bakery. Its a true French bakery that somehow creates a direct portal to the streets of Paris. It's as if the love that goes into each pastry wafts through the air and straight into your nose. The staff are always so sweet and helpful too! So next time you're wishing you could fly to Paris for a croissant, save yourself some money and just come here!

Yelp
Pastries aren't fresh or as tasty as they could/ should be. And it's pricey for mediocre pastries. This business def has room for improvements especially if they want to last in their location.

Yelp
Sometimes I wish I believed in mermaids and unicorns. Or what if that 1890's NY Sun Editor wasn't just telling Virginia what she wanted to hear when he reassured her with a "yes, there is a Santa Claus?" Well, at least I get to occasionally encounter people like the guy who rang us up at this adorable little place. He exuded so much genuine positivity and light that I wanted to bow my cynical Brooklyn girl self down and say, "I'm not worthy.": Anyway, we stopped here to pick up a hostess gift to bring over to dinner with some friends in Lincoln. Aforementioned lovely counter guy was so very patient and helpful, suggesting the Religeuse, which consisted of, if memory serves, a couple Vanilla Pastry Cream-filled Choux Puffs stacked on top of one another, as his favorite. A classic French pastry dubbed for its supposed resemblance to a Nun, which frankly, I didn't see, we decided to go with this, along with a few other treats to share with the family we were visiting. Hubby, who is a total, ANNOYING coffee snob, also ordered an Espresso and lo and behold, gave it a major thumbs up. That Religeuse also turned out to be a big hit, followed by a simple, but perfectly executed Lemon Tart. Both a Hazelnut and a Coffee Opera Cake were good too, though perhaps not quite as impressive. For a previous dinner with said friends, who happen to be major Francophiles, we went to Ma France in Lexington instead for our hostess gift. All I can remember about that experience is that while the Hazelnut Paris-Brest we got looked gorgeous, it tasted disappointingly bland. And none of our other dessert picks were especially memorable. So am going with Praline ftw so far in our apparent quest for best French baked goods in the area.
