"This former pub in Vienna's ninth district is now a great casual fine dining restaurant. In a pleasantly informal atmosphere, the friendly and highly competent front-of-house team serve dishes that draw on modern inspiration and feature contrasts that work well. A sophisticated surprise menu with the focus squarely on the excellent ingredients is proposed. Tip: take the U4 underground line to get here." - Michelin Inspector

The food was very good and clearly Michelin level, with the value feeling excellent. Even before the tasting menu began, there were several mini appetizers, all well executed. The dishes were beautifully presented and thoughtfully done. Service was warm overall, though a few details stood out. The hot towel I was given at the start remained at my place until the end of the meal, and utensils weren’t swapped between courses. These are details you’d expect at any high end restaurant, let alone a Michelin star establishment. I was seated at the bar, so this may be part of the more casual Michelin vibe, but it was noticeable. The experience is very unhurried expect to be there four plus hours. Dining solo, it felt a bit long, though it was clear they weren’t rushing guests. I would recommend it for the food, would love to return with a group, and would opt for the wine pairing to truly get the most out of the experience.

I visited this restaurant today to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely outstanding—each dish was crafted with remarkable attention to detail, rich flavors, and perfect balance. It’s rare to find a place where every course feels like a true masterpiece, but this restaurant delivers on every level. The service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the evening special. To my surprise and delight, they even brought out an additional dessert to celebrate my birthday—a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even more memorable. The wine pairing was perfectly curated, with each wine beautifully complementing the flavors of the dishes. It was clear that a great deal of care and expertise went into selecting each bottle. Overall, this restaurant exceeded all expectations. Incredible food, outstanding service, impeccable wine pairing, and a personal touch that made my birthday truly special. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Google
My first Michelin-star restaurant experience and it was fantastic. The food was amazing. It was an experience, a journey as described by the waiter everytime they brought a new plate. The service is amazing, and all people working there were very friendly and cooperative. One of a kind place. If you are there, definitely try the IPA beer. Amazing, best IPA beer I ever had.

I was here late July 2025. The food is so imaginative yet relatable. The staff was wildly attentive and knowledgable regarding the food served. You could never make me believe you can serve me mac n cheese made from squid and eel and I would think it would come anywhere close to the original, but they did just that. You need to eat here. This is food that nourishes and entices the soul.

My husband and I had an absolutely delicious dinner and fantastic experience at Pramerl and the Wolf a few nights ago. A series of creative appetizers followed by a spectacular menu. Special callout to the calamari with smoked eel which was the most delicious al dente carbonara without pasta ever tasted! The turbot and lamb were also delicious as was the dark chocolate dessert. What made our evening was the atmosphere in the cozy and welcoming space with attention from head chef Wolgang Sankl-Sertl who made us feel extra special throughout our dinner. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Legit!!! The best haute cuisine I had in Vienna. This is not the menu to describe, this is the menu to experience. Reservation is an absolute must for Weekends. They were fully booked for the week but for 1 night which was the day I arrived in Vienna and even then they called asked if I could swap seating time. The menu was unexpected and each was a good surprise. They were so innovative and creative. The whole dining was truly an enjoyable experience. The pasta was from sliced squid and the dumpling was yeasty bread. The paprika Turkish delight was unfairly delightful. The drink menu spanned from left to right … tea, coffee, waters, wines, alcoholic cocktails, mocktails, and alcohol free fermented drinks (between sparkling wine and kambucha) The service was excellent!!! They were friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable.

We ate great meal tonight. The food was exceptional, we love good and creative food and the food we were served was exceptional in its quality. The flavors, the aesthetics, everything was really culinary perfection. However, when the bill was presented (it is an expensive restaurant, we knew that..) we were told that the price did not include a tip and that we could give as much as we thought appropriate but, it is customary to give 15%. We felt very uncomfortable, the tip is decided by the customer and not the waiter or any other person in the restaurant., we left with a bad feeling after a great meal

Google
Good food, but... I liked the food: it is not one of the best Michelin-starred restaurants I have been to, but still good. I really enjoyed the pairing with non-alcoholic drinks. Alone, they had very particular flavors, but with the food, everything made sense. However, some things disappointed me. I found it unacceptable that some glasses had water stains. This should never happen, especially in a restaurant of this level. Even worse was the unprofessional behavior of a waiter. During the service, a couple arrived very late and started laughing and talking loudly. Instead of handling the situation, the waiter joined them, laughing and joking like they were old friends. Even worse, he drank not one, but two glasses of wine with them, during the service and in front of all the other guests. For these reasons, I give 2 stars out of 5. The food and the bartender’s professionalism were good, but the service was unacceptable for a restaurant of this category.

Yelp
4.6 stars. This was an very good 1 star Michelin restaurant! Came with a reservation and service was fantastic. Seated at the "bar" area as I was alone. Timing of dishes were 7/10 with it being quicker in the beginning but slowing down to catch everyone else up that came in later. Restaurant was on a small size with a cozy personal atmosphere. There was a enough waiters / waitresses around to serve. I will attach some pictures (too many dishes to post all) and not name them as it is more about the taste and senses. Each dish has unique ingredients that worked together. Overall, I highly recommend this experience if cost is not an issue (total with tip was about USD $220 for myself, tasting menu, 2 glasses of wine) if you are looking for a Michelin restaurant with great service and high quality food.

Yelp
Pramerl & the Wolf is an embarrassment to the Michelin guide. AVOID! While the food is tasty and very creatively presented, I have two key issues that you need to know about:  1) Their portions are so small that both my dining partner and I left hungry enough that we needed a snack after dinner. That's ridiculous for a 130 euro set menu.  2) Their business practices are deplorable! We had a reservation for 4 people and contacted them about reducing the reservation to 2 people since two people in our party were ill. They agreed to reduce the reservation without a word of any cancellation fee at any point before or during our meal there. A few days after we dined there, I saw a mysterious 400 euro charge from a company with a different name than the restaurant on my card and learned that this was from Pramerl for apparently not showing up. When I reached out to them both about the charge and the amount of the charge, they were very aggressive about it. I asked them "how can you charge a cancellation fee that is higher than the cost of dining there? The meal is 130 euro but cancelling costs 200 euro per person? I could have had all the extra food delivered to the table and taken home for leftovers and it would have been cheaper than your cancellation fee." When I told him I was going to highlight their business practices with in my reviews, they accused me of extortion. I was appalled at their aggressive responses to my concerns, but felt compelled to warn other potential diners.  BEWARE! We also dined at Mast Winebistro while visiting Vienna and had a MUCH better experience there. If you want a Michelin quality experience, go there instead and try their set menu that is only 85 euro, has a great staff, offers ample portions, and is even more delightful food.

Yelp
Each dish had so many surprising flavors. The next dish presented more beautifully than the last. Hard to pick a favorite. Fabulous experience. Impeccable service.

Yelp
Excellent dishes, friendly service, okay pacing. The plates were incredibly creative, demonstrating great gastronomy techniques and unique flavor combinations. It is a small, intimate room but did not feel stuffy at all.

Yelp
Practicing what ownership refers to as "the art of reduction" Pramerl & the Wolf carries one Michelin Star in Vienna's 9th district, the former bar turning out a nightly surprise Tasting Menu filled sophisticated flavors tarnished by service that proudly embraces hipster indifference. Just 14 seats and two services Wednesday through Saturday, the setting decidedly informal, Pramerl & the Wolf can be viewed in its entirety from the doorframe with wood only occasionally dotted by greenery or a golden garden gnome flipping the bird. Not necessarily Viennese cuisine, but instead a seasonal menu with international influence, Wines lean largely natural including bold fermented Grapes from Niederösterreich that pair quite well with Appetizers including Beef Tartare in a cup beneath Caviar and a blistered Padron Pepper stuffed with Cheese. Receiving most plates directly from Chef Wolfgang Zankl and team, Bartenders seemingly sourced straight out of Brooklyn only stopping by to give their opinion of a plate or to try and sell more Wine, course one consisted of a plump Vegetarian Steam Bun ready to be dragged through Lobster Butter alongside bright Carrot Soup and Salad. €130 for mostly modest portions, a single Oyster lost to Acid and Dill, Sturgeon from the grill was undoubtedly a highlight thanks to assertive green Sauce while the follow-up of "Carbonara" made from sliced Cephalopod would have seemed more clever had it not been seen done better before. Served in an expedited fashion, turning tables for a second seating seeing guests retrieve their own silverware from a drawer beneath the table, Zankl's Quail arrives properly cooked atop a Potato with bold aromatics before the night's final savory plates Domestic Wagyu amidst Radicchio and Currants with Blue Cheese giving the Meat a semblance of extended-aging. Offering no Bread or Couvert, a shame as the Buckwheat English Muffin served with Dulce de Bourgogne was world-class, Dessert saw Dark Chocolate Ice Cream decorated by Herbs, Mushrooms and Fruit before a final bite of Strawberries and White Chocolate delivered with the check.

Yelp
This place has top notch service and top notch food. A very unassuming location but smartly decorated. I was greeted by multiple friendly faces who showed me to my seat. The drink selection was terrific yet not overwhelming. The food, while less meat based then some of the Michelin level restaurants I've been to, was equally if not more original and delciious. Overall, 5 stars.....well worth the price

Yelp
Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. The dishes didn't seem constructed like in some of the other fine dining options in Wien. Few, but excellent ingredients that made sense together. The wine recommendations were excellent, the service was amazing, doesn't get better than this.
