Precipice Coffee + Pie

Another reviewer said, "best find on the island" and they are 💯% correct! We popped in to grab a few pastries before our boat tour🛥, and I had to try a latte ☕️with fresh syrup. I opted for cinnamon mocha, and it was phenomenal. I'll be craving this for weeks. We also selected a variety of savory and sweet pastries. The cheddar chive scone might be one of the best 😍 I've ever had. The strawberry brie biscuit 🍓🧀 had a delightful crunch with a perfect blend of cheese and fruit. We saved the sweets for the boat ride! I adore chocolate chip cookies 🍪 with a sprinkle of sea salt, and who can resist Maine Blueberries 🫐 a sugar-coated crust? Run, don't walk, to Precipice! You won't regret it!!! 🏃‍♂️ Please note, this is take out only. There will be a long line, but it's worth the wait. You can also purchase a full pie and bottle of wine for dinner tonight!

Best Blueberry+Plum Crumb Pie ever. I also loved the Salted Chocolate Chip, the Strawberry Pie and the amazing Capuccino with oat milk. 👍👍👍 Just try to get there before 1 pm.

Such a beautiful place for a morning coffee and bakery items which are all fresh and great in taste. A must visit if you are around and during its open hours. They also sell wine and a good place to sit and sip a coffee. Highly recommended!!!

Really enjoyed our pit stop here! The owner is so kind and clearly cares so much about the quality and experience of folks stopping in. We had some drip coffees and delightful pastries. The buttermilk biscuit with homemade ricotta was divine, crisped up edges and decadent in the middle. The Maine blueberry muffin was sweet and light, a perfect way to start a rainy day.

Cool little coffe/bakery spot near our campground. Super nice staff! The baked goods were incredibly delicious. I tried the smoked ricotta on a cheddar biscuit…such a flavorful treat! Coffee was perfect. Can’t wait to visit here again! Thank you!

Stunningly good. I stopped for pie and coffee after a hike, both were absolutely extraordinary. This is the best bakery in the Bar Harbor area and probably the best coffee too. My oak milk latte was perfect. Amazing. Well done Precipice.

Precipice Coffee + Pie is in a perfect, quiet location in Otter Creek. They have a parking lot (!) and are super close to both Bar Harbor and many trails. This isn't even mentioning the coffee and treats! By far my favorite coffee on the island with plenty of homemade syrup options and non-coffee drinks like the smoked london fog! The baking is also out of this world, I would highly recommend the salty maple pie and any of the rotating focaccia flavors. Overall such a stellar business and location, and the owner is the sweetest. You have to stop in here!

Absolutely incredible bakery. We had the chocolate chip cookie and the biscuit with chive cream cheese. The biscuit was one of the best things I have eaten in a long time. We also enjoyed the coffee which was very good. The shop was super cute and the bathrooms were clean.
