"Tucson-born Prep & Pastry’s sister restaurant in Scottsdale (near Fashion Square) sports a bright, sunlight-drenched, white-washed interior. A number of items on the menu pique curiosity: a dossant (a cross between donut and croissant), cast iron duck confit, chickpea scramble, and a daily French toast option. The shakshuka is a great choice as is the spin on the Monte Cristo, made with honey-roasted ham, Swiss cheese, and pineapple and jalapeño mascarpone inside herb brioche French toast. The Scottsdale location starts serving daily at 8 a.m." - Mcconnell Quinn, Jamie Killin

"Tucson import Prep & Pastry injects a bit of circus into breakfast, and takes brunch to a new level — even for downtown Scottsdale. The pastry case is filled with an ever-evolving roster of imaginative creations like a maple-bacon croissant-doughnut hybrid. There are nine different breakfast cocktails, not counting the 11 mimosa options and duo of sangrias. The same kind of whimsy is behind dishes like breakfast poutine with pork belly and a savory a Monte Cristo with pineapple-jalapeno mascarpone." - Chris Malloy

Yelp
LOVE THIS PLACE! Spectacular food, great environment, and perfect location. I have been in the past, but this last Sunday my boyfriend and I went around 10am for mid brunch, and we had a wonderful time. We both got lattes, which I highly recommend starting with as they always have unique flavors and specialties and it's a great way to start off the meal. I would suggest trying out a hot latte even if you are a typical iced lover because the presentation and taste is definitely better and more fun when hot as opposed to iced here (get a hot lavender honey latte if you like that flavor combo, it was a 10/10). To eat we got the 'fried chicken and toast', which was perfect for us to split when neither of us had a huge appetite. The food checked all the boxes being gorgeous, flavorful, and mastered the sweet and savory combo! They split it for us which was perfect! This time unfortunately I blanked and completely forgot to check out their array of pastries near the front of the restaurant - They are always delicious and in the past I never leave without picking one or two out for later. The service was great and we were sat immediately, really nothing to complain about. I highly recommend going on the weekend for brunch then having a shopping day. will be back very soon :)

Yelp
I've been lucky to have been to Prep and Pastry for years now, including when I lived in Tucson. I have to say their coffee and baked goods are top freaking notch. This last visit I had a cinnamon roll and it might be the best one I've ever had! The frosting was perfectly light and rich and as a whole it wasn't too sweet and was sooo soft. That gorgeous layered drink I think is a cubano - whatever it was it was so perfect. My friend always gets the iced lavender latte which is delicious as well. You can't go wrong with any of the coffee drinks imo, and I love the variety of mimosas. The food is hit or miss, not going to lie, which is why I went with a 4/5 rating. The shakshuka is really good, I def recommend trying that, as is the avocado toast, prep omelette, duck confit (this is REALLY rich), and the sweet potato hash. I tried the smoked salmon benny this past visit - something I've had plenty of times elsewhere - and it was not good. The salmon was super dry, the whole thing needed salt. I ended up just eating the potatoes and dousing it in hot sauce to give it flavor. Otherwise, this place is always packed on the weekend, so it's a fun vibe if you're coming for brunch and you can walk on the canal after! Make a reservation if you don't want to wait. The service is always fine, nothing amazing but they don't make you feel rushed which is always nice. I think this is one of the best brunch places in this immediate area as long as you order the right food or stick to coffee, drinks, and pastries.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. My girlfriends and I meet up here every couple months for brunch. We love sitting on the patio when the weather is nice. we usually all order our own meal, and then the specialty pancake for the table on top of it. We also ordered pastries to go every time we're there! *Earl Grey Scone, blueberry anything, and the cinnamon rolls are to die for. Everyone who served us has been very friendly and helpful. (Update) The last time we were there, we ordered coffees and chatted for a little bit after we finished eating and definitely got some weird looks from our servers. I understand the turn and burn concept, servers wanna make those tips, but we felt rushed to get the eff out of there. Made for our bimonthly reunion to be not as great as usual. But I still recommend the food the Harissa and the everything croissant . Yuuuum.

Yelp
Yummm! I just stopped by to grab some pastries because I'd already had breakfast and I'm really glad that I did! Everything in the pastry display looked great, so I had a hard time deciding. Now that I've had three of their pastries, I tend to believe that I couldn't have gone wrong. I got the chocolate croissant, the raspberry pistachio dossant, and carrot cake. The surprise favorite here was the dossant! The raspberry topping was more tart than I had expected, which was EXCELLENT because I really do not enjoy overly sweet fruity flavors. The dossant itself was soft and fluffy and very enjoyable to eat. I could have done without the sugar coating on the bottom, though. For me, this tipped the overall flavor into the top sweet domain. The chocolate croissant was SO flakey. I don't know how many folds they do for their croissants, but it's a delicious amount lol. Each layer was super thin and light and it gave the exterior a really nice crunch. There was ample chocolate inside, too. The carrot cake was moist and tender with a warm cinnamon-y flavor and a thick cream cheese frosting, mmmm! If ever back in the area, I'd stop in again and maybe try to dine-in and enjoy more of their menu!

Yelp
Had a fantastic breakfast while in town. Should I be in Scottsdale again I would absolutely visit again. The service was alright compared to other places in the area but the food made up for it. Everything my group had was delicious.

Yelp
Let's start with the good! -Food was amazing! I had the southwest croissant sammie and it was delicious! The potatoes on the side were incredible too! The perfect dish for my savory breakfast lovers! -Ambiance is perfect! It's bright, beautiful, and has indoor and outdoor seating plus a great to go coffee area! -Service was great! We came in on a Saturday and our servers were kind and attentive! Now for the cons! -The hot lavender latte was not for me at all. I didn't even finish it! The coffee flavor was missing and it was very sweet! -The waitlist closes!!! We had to wait about 2 hours for a group of 8 to be seated. I had called during the week prior to coming in and I was assured that the waitlist would be a great option for us. Little did we know that they close the waitlist!! That was a huge bummer.

Anissa A.

Yelp
The food was so delicious and their menu had a great variety. Our table for four left with full bellies. I also loved their peach matcha. Docking one star bc service was slow. For example, we had been seated for about 15 minutes before they brought water.

Yelp
Fantastic food and outstanding service! We went for brunch and had an excellent experience. The atmosphere was phenomenal, and we'd love to come back again.

Yelp
Good spot for breakfast. Latte was just ok. My friend got a cold brew and didn't like it. I went with the sweet potato bowl and it was very good. The hash mix is pre made so I couldn't take the leeks out but it was still ok. I would have liked an additional egg it only comes with one. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and said it was amazing. We split the French toast and it was just ok. It was a bit dry. The topping was good though. Service was good. Place is cute. Would recommend

Yelp
Every time I would pass this place it was always packed. I finally had brunch here and now I know why. This place was great! Came for a baby shower and all entrées were amazing. I had the avo toast with eggs. It was delicious and the drizzle of sauce was so savory. A few ordered burgers, and they looked delicious. I ordered a Latte and the coffee was smooth and naturally sweet. Did not need sugar or honey. The pastries were soft and yummy. I definitely want to come back and bring my husband.

Yelp
Came in for a late lunch on Sunday and left disappointed and unsatisfied, as one of my blue cheese crumbles had aluminum in it. Luckily I hadn't eaten it, as I saw it shining and picked it out but imagine if I hadn't. To begin, we came in around 1:30 and it wasn't too busy, as there were a lot of open tables. We got a table inside, but it was a bit chilly in there so we asked the hostess if we could move outside but she had seemed a bit stressed and said there was only one server outside, no problem then. I ordered a hot tea to warm myself up a little. Our server came by quickly and we placed our order, it took maybe about 10-15 minutes for our food to come out which was not bad at all. When the food arrived, the hostess that dropped off the food asked if we needed any hot sauce or condiments and I had to ask for utensils since we didn't receive any. The Common burger was good but the Prep cobb was lacking dressing, I continued to try tossing the salad but hardly any dressing seemed to be put in it. I asked for a side of extra dressing and when I had finally got it mixed , it looked like a normal amount of dressing received at any other restaurant. I don't believe they really put any dressing to begin with besides maybe a few dollops. When I had asked for extra blue cheese, I received a good amount which I was happy for until I found the aluminum foil in it. I'm so grateful that I was able to find it because it was actually in one of the crumbles and not so obvious to the eye. I can only wonder what would've happened if I ended up ingesting it. I didn't say anything to the server, as I just pulled it out and put it on my napkin but I seriously worry about others and I regret not saying anything to the server as a warning to check the blue cheese carefully. All in all, I most likely will not be coming back after finding the aluminum in the blue cheese. It definitely made me worried about other ingredients at this restaurant.

Yelp
Prep & Pastry did not disappoint us! We had wonderful, fresh, and affordable food while visiting the restaurant. We opted to sit outside even in the heat, they have the oh-so-wonderful misters on their patio and they came in handy. We also had iced americanos with our breakfast and they were delicious. I am only giving 4 stars because our waitress seemed very unenthusiastic about being there. However, our expo was friendly and fast!

Yelp
I was introduced to this place through a past Yelp event. The food was amazing and I was excited to bring my husband with me on my second visit. Love the location and the covered outside patio. Their patio is dog friendly and shaded. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the sweet potato hash with scrambled eggs and bacon. It was light and just what I was craving. My husband went with the monte Cristo. He was a little dissatisfied with the lack of filling between the bread, but it still had a great taste. By far our favorite was their coconut chai which was delicious. A place we would for sure visit again.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in phoenix! It has amazing pastries made fresh daily, espresso drinks and brunch options. We went on a weekday with group of 8 and were able to make a reservation! The carrot cake muffin was to die for. You can see shredded carrots and the inside is moist. It pairs so well with the cream cheese frosting. I loved the duck confit with potatoes but there were so many options including french toast and shakshuka! The service and food was delicious. I think the potatoes could use some more seasoning but I think thats just me! Loved this place!

Dakota M.

Yelp
Oooh this place is so good! The steak sandwich had this amazing sauce and wasn't too heavy and the breads was all nicely toasted on the outside - great texture! The side of bacon was candied which I loved but not everyone does- and the espresso martini with cold foam was amaaazing. The service was very friendly and genuine! Super cute interior!

Toby L.

Yelp
Had a fantastic brunch. Started with some coffees and an amazing lemon poppy scone. Main brunch we had 2 different French toasts, poblano Benedict (had a spicy kick), monte cristo sandwich and the duck confit dish (great). All excellent- probably too much food! Super friendly staff, and well positioned to walk Around the downtown historic area.

Yelp
Vibes | Chicken + Toast | Location Vibes - If you're looking for a meal that's both delicious and filling, I highly recommend the chicken and toast dish. The meal consists of three boneless chicken fingers and four pieces of French toast, topped with a delicious blueberry flavoring and syrup. It's definitely a dish that will leave you satisfied, so make sure to bring your appetite! Personally, I always order this meal whenever I visit the restaurant, and I highly recommend that you give it a try too. Personally, I always order this meal whenever I visit the restaurant, and I highly recommend that you give it a try too. Location - the location is ideal as it is adjacent to the Fashion Park Mall and other fantastic stores and restaurants. It's also very convenient to walk to all the places you'd want to visit in Old Town. If you're looking for a spot where you can quickly grab a bite or brunch and then head out for shopping, this is the perfect place to be. Pro tip: Parking in the area is limited due to the presence of multiple restaurants and the Fashion Square park. To avoid being late for your meet-up, it is advisable to add an extra 10 minutes before the scheduled time. If you plan on visiting the area during popular brunch times, which are Friday and Saturday, it is recommended to arrive early. On Sundays, it is advisable to arrive early as there is no reservation policy, and you would want to try and get a reservation or put your name on the list and then walk around. Pro tip 2: if you ever find yourself in Tucson, AZ, I highly recommend trying the Prep + Pastry original location. They are absolutely delicious and worth checking out! (bear down)

Yelp
Such a cute little breakfast spot! I went with a couple friends on a Sunday morning. It had no wait. We ordered coffees, an omelette, avocado toast, and a simple breakfast. Everything was delicious. Service was quick and our server was very knowledgeable. Would definitely come back to try out some of those pastries!

Brittany W.

Yelp
The star here is the pastries! My husband and I stopped in for a pastry before a hike. We each got something different and loved both of them! We popped back in for breakfast later. It was fine. What you'd expect from a breakfast spot. But the pastries are as yummy as they are pretty!

Yelp
This place was just as good as 2 years ago when we ate here. Got Chef Kiannas special French toast this time and it was delicious. The cranberry sauce with the maple syrup simply delicious. (we did like Kayla's special Champaign French toast better) but this was great also. The poblano Verde was also very delicious the poblano peppers with the carnitas and egg served over the biscuit was delicious. The side of the roasted/fried potatoes were simply ridiculous and delicious. I could eat a whole plate of just those!! I got the cinnamon maple corrado and it was good and strong but didn't have too much cinnamon flavor. The iced cranberry matcha just had a weird taste to me but Boyfriend really liked it. Definetly worth eating here. Service was just as great as last time.

Yelp
Prep & Pastry stands as a culinary gem, a place where freshness, flavor, and exceptional service harmoniously converge to create a dining experience that lingers in your memory long after the meal is over. I've had the pleasure of savoring a variety of dishes at this delightful establishment, but it's their hamburger that has become a personal favorite, a testament to the mastery of their craft. One of the standout features of Prep & Pastry is their commitment to using the freshest ingredients, each dish made to order with meticulous attention to quality. This dedication to freshness is palpable in every bite, enhancing the flavors and ensuring a dining experience that is both wholesome and satisfying. Yelp
Visiting Scottsdate and this is our second time coming here. I thoroughly enjoyed the carnitas bene - they used biscuit instead of English muffins. The poblano pepper gives that nice heat to the bene. The potatoes was crunchy outside and soft inside. I think it could have used some herbs to kick it up a notch. The Kiana French toast isn't as good as Kayla's pink champagne French toast from our first visit. It's still good and not overly sweet but I prefer the pink champagne French toast. The cranberry matcha was interesting. I like matcha and I wouldn't think of adding cranberry to it but it works. The cinnamon caramel cortado didn't have much cinnamon.

Iulia G.

Yelp
While my friend was picking up our rental car, I was perusing yelp's suggestions for brunch in Scottsdale. We decided on Prep & Pastry thanks to its tall ceilings and earthy tones, but the food did not disappoint either. It was a beautiful day and there were no seats outdoor, so we ended up getting a table inside. We ordered the following: blueberry earl grey latte, simple breakfast, pancake, and the fried chicken sandwich. The blueberry earl grey latte was super yummy. I asked for it to be less sweet and it was made exactly to my liking with just a hint of blueberry. Fun fact: they make their syrups in-house. Our food items were all good, but the chicken in the sandwich could have used a bit more seasoning. Also, the two strips of bacon were an additional $4-4.50, which is crazy in my opinion. On the other hand, the pancake definitely hit the spot for my friend. Our server was friendly, the hostess not so much. She just seemed indifferent to her job. I would definitely go back for that delicious latte. And if I lived in the area, I can see that being one of my go-to spots.

Josie L.

Yelp
As a restaurant owner- This place had Great service! Great food! Employees were polite. I wish my lemon French toast had something "lemon" about it besides the raw lemon slice on top. (If this were my restaurant I'd serve that as a candied lemon slice.)

Tiffany L.

Yelp
This was such a delicious brunch spot! I had the omelette and potatoes. They were cooked perfectly and so filling. I also had a mimosa which was tasty with the right amount of champagne. The restaurant had cute decor inside. The service was great. Our waitress offered to split our bill without us even asking. Prices for our food and drinks were reasonable. We had a party of 7 and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table to be ready for us. It was a Saturday though so that's understandable. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Treena C.

Yelp
This is a great spot, located on the corner of the Waterfront near the Nordstroms parking lot. There are so many other "dinner" restaurants in this area so I was happy when a breakfast/lunch place turned up. It is all windows on two sides and the interior is decorated in light colors so it feels quite cheery. They follow an uncomplicated blue and white decor with lovely lighting and it works. They were decently busy when we showed up on a Sunday at 1:00, and yet there were a few tables available and then most of the tables outside were free (September is still HOT). I like their menu- very straightforward, but with enough variety of options that most would find something they wanted. They offer alcohol but we had coffee and water. For lunch I chose comfort food-the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. The bisque was fantastic and so was the grilled cheese, although it did come with tea smoked tomatoes that definitely gave off a smokey flavor. It was still very good. My lunch mate chose the chicken salad and said it was perfect. It came with a side of fries. Both meals were $13.50 each. Pretty fair for the area. Service was efficient. They close at 3:00 on Sundays so the crowd was dissipating as we dined. They also have a coffee bar that you can order from that offers baked goods as well.

Ellie Z.

Yelp
It's been a while since we've been here since they seem to change their menu often and a lot of it doesn't hit as when it used it. However, we decided to give it a go on a Sunday morning to see what's new in the Prep cinematic universe (PCU). We arrived at about 9:30 and were seated outside pretty quickly. It took a few minutes for the waiter to come to our table. The last time we were here, I ordered the rose yogurt bowl since I'm a sucker for any breakfast not savory, and it was NOT anything to write home about. I still cannot fathom why they would add peppercorn in a yogurt bowl, but I digress. This time around, I saw they had a blueberry yogurt bowl, and it didn't have any odd ingredients in it, but that doesn't mean I got it. It was like $13 dollars (for yogurt and blueberries, really?), so I was searching around for something a little cheaper. Thankfully, I saw hummus toast for ONLY $10 *sarcasm*. I got that since it was the cheapest thing on the menu and I quite love hummus. My friend's old favorite dish was the everything breakfast sammie, and they got rid of that gem a while ago. She didn't see anything that was jumping out at her on their menu, so she asked what the chef's French toast was and after hearing it was a strawberry Nutella French toast, she opted for that (which is unlike her since she's a savory breakfast girlie). She also ordered a chocolate milk. Our food came out rather quickly, fortunately. They obviously forgot my friend's chocolate milk since we had to remind the waiter who brought out our food (who was a different waiter). When she tasted it, she said it wasn't the best milk she's had; probably some grocery store chocolate milk would've tasted better. Regarding her French toast, she said it was good, it's just it was a lot of the same bite every time. But then again, that's kind of what French toast is, so. On the other hand, my toast was a single slice of sourdough bread (and it wasn't even that big) with some regular hummus, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, seeds, and feta cheese. They spread a good amount of hummus on the bread, which made the bread soggy (but I liked that). It seemed that the bread wasn't toasted because the crust didn't seem like it was hard/crunchy at all, which I loved because I hate bread that destroys the roof of your mouth. Overall, the seasoning and flavors were nice, I just wish it wasn't $10 for a small slice of bread and hummus. Since my friend couldn't find a savory breakfast item on the menu, she wasn't in the mood for a sweet pastry after our meal. I also didn't see any options that called out to me since a lot of them were cinnamon heavy. So, we both skipped getting pastries. Overall, nothing to call exceptional, and this reaffirmed our disinterest in this place. Snooze still has our hearts.

Paris B.

Yelp
Prep & Pastry is one of my favorite brunch spots! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I had the chickpea scramble which is a vegan take on a scrambled egg bowl. I love that Prep & Pastry has a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options to cater to all dietary restrictions. The serial celebration cocktail was one of the best brunch cocktails I've had! My friends had the fried chicken sandwich and monte cristo which they both really enjoyed. Our server walked us through the menu and suggested some of their most popular dishes and pastries, all of which were amazing. The whole team at Prep & Pastry was friendly and welcoming, really adding to the overall dining experience. Prep & Pastry is located in the center of Old Town Scottsdale right next to the canal, making it the perfect location to sit outside and enjoy the views, however the interior of the restaurant is also cute and lively if you're looking to sit inside.

Adiat A.

Yelp
Great food and beautiful space! Just as delicious as their location in Tucson Order: Steak and egg sandwich w/ fries All hail the omelette w/ breakfast potatoes

Pam M.

Yelp
Fabulous breakfast brunch lunch spot in Scottsdale! Service was excellent and food choices on point! I had the pret omelette it was amazing - the smoked tomatoes were so good! Great coffee selection too. Indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect start to a Saturday!

Suzette S.

Yelp
The food was so delicious and filling. Service was prompt and courteous. We loved the ambiance and decor pleasant.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
How cute is prep & pastry! As soon as you walk in, the ambiance is light and airy. Due to the wait for a table, we decided to enjoy our food from the bar area. Right away the server was super nice and friendly. We asked her for drink recommendations - there are like 10 mimosa combinations! - and her mimosa of choice did not disappoint! I enjoyed the prep omelette & wow! So so soooo good! And filling! The goat cheese in the omelette was perfection & the side potatoes were delish! My friend enjoyed the grilled cheese w/ tomato soup and she said it was probably one of the best grilled cheese she's had! This is definitely a must try!

Linda O.

Yelp
Great food great place but AC is not working since a Month ago!!! It is a CRIME for costumers and Employees!!!!! Scottsdale 109

Sandy B.

Yelp
I was hesitant to come here because all the pictures were pastries. But they really have it all, and do a great job with it. We did brunch this time and everything was great. Then 1/2 the table indulged in those desserts that you see so much. It's tastefully decorated. The chairs are like white wicker. It's pretty. But not ideal for people of size. They have limited couch type seating. But we're happy to move us. They have some creative drinks that were on point!

Riss G.

Yelp
This is my fav place to visit when in Phoenix I am never dissatisfied. There is always something new on the menu and the coffee is always good. The service is always on point and friendly and the place has such a great atmosphere and vibe.

Shelbie P.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for a coffee breakfast date and we absolutely loved it! It's in a super cute area by the fashion square mall, and they have daily fresh pastries to choose from. Our service was great and the food and coffee were delicious. I definitely want to come back and enjoy some more things on the menu. I would give more stars if I could!

Chris S.

Yelp
Great spot for brunch. Used the yelp waitlist feature to get on waiting list prior to arrival on a Saturday. Still had to wait about 20 minutes when we arrived as this place is the spot for brunch. Great vibe with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows makes this place bright. Great brunch options. We went with the French toast and the steak and eggs sandwich. The French toast was very good but the stat was the steak and eggs sandwich which is served on a perfectly toasted sour dough bread. The steak was tender and a nice compliment to the egg. The Bloody Mary was great too served with a generous potion of olive, cheese and salami. Service was very friendly and the prices were very reasonable for the location.

Val A.

Yelp
We were looking for somewhere tat serves simple breakfast (egg, bacon, potatoes). This place was one the ones in Scottsdale. Love the atmosphere and we sat down at the outdoor area. Service was excellent and the food arrived pretty fast. Everything was great except the sweet glazed on the bacon.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
I came in on a Tuesday for brunch and was seated immediately, outside. It is a cute little place in a good location, parking can be rough sometimes. I ordered the iced peach matcha latte and my friend got an iced vanilla latte and they were both basically milk. Neither of us liked the drink, so we didn't drink it and the server never asked anything about it, so we paid $6 for our drinks to sit on the table. I got got an omelette that was all different temperatures and extremely cheesy. The service was fast, but the customer service just wasn't there. The lady that sat us and brought our drinks (and probably made them) was not friendly at all.

Jasleen K.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and was def impressed! The poblano Benedict was delicious and the drinks were tasty and strong! We also had assorted pastries that didn't disappoint either! The food was definitely delicious, as was the garlic chive bread thing was pretty good too!

Marissa J.

Yelp
Make sure you get there early if you want fresh baked pastries because they do run out pretty fast. I ordered the streak and egg sandwich. The steak was a little dry and I think it needed more sauce on the sandwich. The potatoes and croissant were great. Service was good and pretty fast. It is a great area to walk around before or after.

Jenny W.

Yelp
Not super impressed by the food, but it's a cute space in a convenient location. I got the avocado toast which was quite mediocre - the toast itself was really hard and super difficult to cut through even with my knife. There's only 2 primary components to avocado toast - so when 1 of the 2 is bad, it really brings down the entire dish. The southwest croissant sammie was also brought down by the "bread" - the croissant was really crunchy which was not great. Duck hash was definitely the best thing we ordered.

Yelp
Nestled in Old Town Scottsdale, this breakfast spot is a gem. The French toast is consistently delicious, offering a sweet start to your day. The classic breakfast, accompanied by sweet bacon and herb-flavored potatoes, is a surefire way to satisfy your morning cravings. A delightful combination of flavors in a charming setting makes it a must-visit for breakfast enthusiasts.

Yelp
Food was delicious and well served. I had a Southwest Croissant Sammie, which had a good ratio of greens and egg. They had a apple chai latte that was sooo good, I would recommend it! The inside was bright, honestly a good breakfast spot to start your morning. We were checked in on a couple times during our meal. I would be careful with glassware, it took a few tried to get the hostess's attention to swap out a dirty glass for a clean one.

Yelp
Service and food were good. Eggs were cold and server gave me a new one. Very crowded and noisy.

Yelp
Such a cute brunch spot in a great location! We arrived and there was a wait, but the bar was open so we went and sat down. All three ladies behind the bar area were incredibly friendly - they were rotating when it came to making drinks, taking food orders, etc. It was my birthday and they gave me a free pastry which made my day. This donut was by far the best thing I've ever eaten - fruit icing on the top of the tastiest donut. Not sure what magic they put in the dough but I loved it! I also got the biscuits and gravy with chicken which was delicious. It was recommended to get extra gravy on the side which I did and was happy about. The portion was so big I couldn't eat it all and brought a lot home. The ambiance was calm, bright and fun. Definitely picture worthy! Great experience and a place worth checking out if you're in the area!

Yelp
Bridal Shower Event (06/15/24) I am blown away by the phenomenal service at the Prep and Pastry Scottsdale, AZ, location. My sister is a bride-to-be, and I, as the maid of honor and our bridesmaids, had been looking all across Arizona for a suitable place with a chic and elegant ambiance without breaking the bank for everyone. Most places we reached out to had a $2k minimum, a set menu that was predetermined for us (we couldn't select the entrees), and they had a 4% service fee (a separate cost from the gratuity). We also wanted an enclosed space and the food to be delicious (we didn't want to sacrifice taste for cuteness). We also had a party of 27, pushing us out of most places with private rooms with 25-person max spaces (rooms the next size up would be way too large). Suffice it to say, we had a tall order before us, or so we thought. However, we filled out the Event form on Prep and Pastry's website, and Karoline ("Kari") got back to us the next day. She was upfront, letting us know about the per-person cost (which is significantly cheaper than all other places). She let us know that we can choose the entree items we want for our set menu (and you're allowed to choose four different entrees!). And though they do not have a private room, we felt we were secluded and had the place to ourselves by having complete access and setup to the back half of the restaurant. We were not bothered by other guests and felt very separate in our setup. They even gave us one table for gifts and another for the cake (they let us bring in a cake from an outside vendor!). She also allowed us to have a menu heading for my sister, which said, "Congratulations Erika!" When we asked, she gave us measurements of the tables, so we could know the sizing when purchasing decorations. We are beyond blown away by how Kari worked with us through every little detail we sent her way. Now, on the day of, Jordan was our server. Oh man, he was FANTASTIC! He handled us all like a pro, and he was so respectful and kind. He was also so patient with every request. We even forgot our own serving knife for the cake, and he provided us with a knife and spatula so we could serve the cake to our guests. He was prompt with taking orders and answering requests while still giving us great space when everyone was taken care of. Also, everyone's food was great; they loved it! It isn't a pretty place, but with bland food, no, it is delicious, and they don't skimp on portion size! Our party also decided to order 30 mini-pastries to be spread out amongst the tables. I liked the touch of having the pastries out and on the table before the food arrived so guests could have something delicious to munch on before the food came out (though the food came out quickly). My only regret is that a few other ladies helped serve our party as well, and one was helping bus the tables after the event, but unfortunately, I did not get their names. I wish I could have gotten their names to shout them out, too! Choose Prep and Pastry as your event destination if you want: 1. Phenomenal service 2. Delicious food 3. A reasonable price 4. Attentive staff Before this, I had been to Prep and Pastry once before with a friend years ago. They weren't bad then, but I had forgotten about them. I won't make that mistake again. This is a hidden gem for the event-hosting space!

Yelp
I want to share a recent experience I had with the Prep and Pastry Management at the Old Town location. While enjoying a Yogurt Fruit bowl I was abruptly interrupted by what appeared to be the Manager for taking a photo at the counter. The Manager had asserted to me that I was taking photos of her Staff. Rather than get into a verbal altercation about the photo I quickly decided to avoid any type of confrontation and immediately left. The Manager was quick to make an assumption perhaps due to the color of my skin that I was engaging in something illegal. I often take photos of places or establishments as a reference for Friends whenever they visit the area. Unfortunately this incident was overly exaggerated causing my Server discomfort with my character. The Manager miscommunicated my actions to my original Server resulting in another staff person to settle my bill. This establishment does not represent Diversity other than the Mexican staff that does the so called " Black Jobs". Needless to say I left humiliated. I will never support this place ever again! I'll definitely will not ever recommend this place to any of my Friends or acquaintances.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. We were able to enjoy a table outside. I really enjoyed the variety of food options and portion sizes were perfect. Quality of food was excellent. Would recommend.

Yelp
I can't even comment on the food since this place chose to fail miserably on service. Our group of 7 was told we could not make reservations when we called the morning of our brunch and we could not join the online waitlist. When we checked in, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. We were the only group waiting. After 30 minutes we noticed other groups of 4-5 getting sat immediately. We waited another 15 minutes and still waited. We asked several times and were told they were still waiting on a table to open. After 50 minutes of waiting we crossed the street to Olive and Ivy and were immediately sat. We had drinks and apps before we got notified our table was ready back at Prep & Pastry. Over an HOUR! Perhaps this restaurant could use some advice from their own name "Prep" you failed at this part. Do better.
