"Catch live music on the heated patio at Preservation while sipping a craft cocktail like the Aye Papi made with mezcal, tequila, grapefruit, and housemade serrano syrup, or The Secret Garden, which combines cucumber syrup, cilantro tincture and tequila. The similarly creative food includes Korean pork belly tacos and spicy falafel with honey tzatziki. There’s never a cover, but you can tip the entertainers when you pay your bill." - Samantha Nelson

We were looking for something new for our anniversary and my hubby came across Preservation. We don't go out a lot or do super fancy but always like to try a new place for our anniversary dinner. Food definitely caught our eye and it did not disappoint- it was delicious! We had an assortment of small plates from the bacon jam on toast to prawns to the lamb skewers. Every dish we tried was fabulous and we left stuffed as could be. The atmosphere was different than we expected by looking at the menu but it was very casual and fun with some live music. Definitely would recommend to anyone who enjoys small plates.

Google
Had Steak Skewers and it was super delicious, draft beers selection was good as well. The only issue was by the time I sat down at the bar, it took too long to get greeted and got my drink order. Almost walked out but was patient knowing it was busy at noon on Sunday. The atmosphere was awesome! Just a fun place. I love having out there and would come back.

Nestled in the heart of Geneva, Illinois, Reservations Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience that pleasantly surprised me during my recent visit. After indulging in a relaxing massage nearby, I stumbled upon this gem, intrigued by its popularity and stellar online reputation. Stepping inside, I was immediately captivated by the cool, open-air concept and the soulful tunes of a talented live singer, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The menu, boasting an array of small plates, promised a culinary adventure, and it certainly delivered. We kicked off our meal with the lamb skewers and the intriguing combination of Asparagus and Lemon Whipped Ricotta on Apple Slices. While the latter bordered on dessert-like, its presentation was impeccable. The lamb skewers, however, stole the spotlight with their robust flavors and succulent texture, leaving us craving for more. Eager to explore further, we dove into additional appetizers, opting for the Spanish Garlic Shrimp and the beef skewers. Although the beef skewers were slightly overshadowed by the potent mustard, they still offered a burst of flavor that tantalized the taste buds. However, it was the Spanish Garlic Shrimp that emerged as the undisputed star of the show, perfectly marrying garlic-infused goodness with tender shrimp, creating a symphony of flavors that lingered long after the last bite. Overall, Reservations Restaurant proved to be a delightful culinary haven, blending inventive small plates with a vibrant ambiance and top-notch live entertainment. While there were minor hiccups along the way, the overall experience left a lasting impression, making it a destination worth revisiting. Whether you're seeking a casual night out or a special occasion celebration, Reservations Restaurant promises to satisfy your cravings and ignite your senses.

Google
Preservation is a local gem that sports a year-round outdoor patio and bar, as well as some indoor dining. The food is very good, and the cocktail specials are yummy! The music is mighty fine too, with local singer/songwriters and small bands. The patio heaters and available blankets keep things comfortable throughout the colder months while sipping a hot whiskey and taking in some tunes.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for over a decade, and it just keeps getting better! As it has evolved in creativity and cuisine, it has not lost its honest-to-goodness roots of excellent food, service, and sense of community. I always feel very at home coming here, whether alone or with others. It’s a locally grown and supported business that thrives because it’s the real deal.

Google
Preservation is the spot. The patio is beautiful, the music is always on point, and the service is top notch. Great wine list with solid variety and the food is seriously impressive. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. Easy favorite in Geneva. 11/10!!

Google
Food was absolutely delicious. There is a wide variety of options and is best shared with friends so that you can enjoy the diversity of flavors. The staff was very friendly and helpful in making our choices. The meal was long but by design. Perfect for a night out with friends to catch up. Live music on the outside patio for those who enjoy eating outside, which I do not but the inside was comfortable.

Google
Love Preservation it has the best vibe in Geneva! The atmosphere is perfect for anytime of the year but especially summer where you can enjoy live music. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Jesse the bartender! Definitely recommend the pork belly tacos!

Yelp
Fun times..... I'll start my review by stating that I went to Preservation for the Chriskindl Market during the day on a Saturday in December for the holidays. We were in an outside area that felt like an alley but it had a covered area and an outdoor bar. They were serving warm alcohol drinks that tasted festive. They had a little seating area around a fire with free s'mores. Just grab a stick, some marshmallows, the graham crackers, and some chocolate. It was a little cold that day but I felt warm and cozy with my drink, the fire, and s'mores. They also had several vendors selling jewelry and other small items. Overall fun place and fun time. I didn't go inside if they have an inside area, so I guess my review is just the outside area.

Yelp
Birthday lunch at Preservation was a wonderful gift from my husband. First time here. My tastebuds were exploding with happiness at each byte of the ASPARAGUS AND LEMON WHIPPED RICOTTA ON APPLE SLICES. Each bite of the WILD MUSHROOM TART was exquisite. SHRIMP & CHEESE GRITS classic Southern and delicious. Preservation has become one of my favorites in the western burbs. Oh, and the old fashion was a good balance between sweetness, bourbon, and bitters, good mixology.

Daniel K.

Yelp
Lit atmosphere this is the best place to get a drink in downtown Geneva. Friendly service and good music. 2nd time here and will be back again soon.

Debbie L.

Yelp
Perfect place to sit outside, share some bites, sip some cocktails and enjoy nice weather. I love how the menu is meant for sharing. We started with the European Cheese Plate, so good! We devoured it so fast I didn't even manage to get a pic. Enjoyed the Smoked Turkey Sandwich and Steak Skewers. Everything was cooked perfectly and the cocktails were delicious. Service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be returning

Yelp
Came here for a celebratory dinner a few weeks ago and experienced one of the worst dining experiences I have had in years. The food was all pretty average, bland, and extremely expensive for what was received, and also took a very long time to come out. The ambiance was strange. The live music was grating on the ears and so abrasive, squealing, and loud that it was unpleasant. The TVs were showing sports -- is this a classy small plates vibe or a sports bar or some secret third thing? The service was very poor, despite it not being busy. We were initially sat at a dirty table near a very loud fellow customer. We relocated ourselves because no one was checking with us, and we proceeded to be neglected with long waits and empty glasses for most of the night, while our server chit-chatted with other servers mere feet away. Our total was over $100 with tip and we left still hungry, with a headache. This spot used to be great. What happened?

Mary C.

Yelp
Preservation was our go to place for great wine and small plates basically since they opened. Stopped by this afternoon for a glass of wine at the back bar. Wine was good, no complaints. The total vibe has changed. The outdoor area is a conglomeration of a wine bar, a sports bar and a fast food eatery with Atlas right there. The inside has a well worn look to it. Bathroom has a soap dispenser that has come off the wall, back area was just kind of dirty and dingy. It feels like it's lost its way and could really use a facelift too.

Nina P.

Yelp
We visited the restaurant in winter, but it looks like They have an awesome patio for the winter. The indoor restaurant is quite small, so I'd recommend making a reservation. We got the bacon jam baguette, falafel, and pork belly tacos. Our favorite was the tacos. The falafel was pretty bland. Overall, seems like a good place to get wine and have some small plates.

Majida P.

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere! This place has such friendly and attentive staff. The live music on the side is a great touch. The food is delicious, and such a variety to choose from. The drinks are superb. Prices are decent, and there's a parking garage close by too. I love the courtyard vibe! I will recommend this restaurant to others.

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
Preservation is absolutely great! The food there is such a bomb I can't even tell you. They're all super nice and make you feel like you're part of the family. The atmosphere is sick for hanging out with your friends. Their burgers are literally crazy good, like they blow my mind. And dude their fries? Forget about it, they're outer space. Preservation is the place to go if you want some epic food and vibes for sure!

M V.

Yelp
Long time favorite, good food, generally (excluding the manager) good service and nice ambiance. They carry one of my favorite chardonnays by the bottle and food is very good in its taste, but the menu changes have significantly reduced the portions and options. They eliminated long time favorites like the veghie sandwiches and lamb sliders, of which are now replaced by a very small $14 lamb skewer (read: fingerlings- pinky size). Again, delicious but ridiculously small serving sizes. I will definitely visit, but it will be fewer and farther between.

Carson B.

Yelp
Very solid dining and drinking spot. Loved the cocktails and the Just Looking was amazing! Accommodating staff and great and well heated outdoor patio on a crisp October night.

Yelp
I recently needed to drive with my wife to the Galena area. There are so many restaurants there that I have not tried yet. I almost felt overwhelmed about where to start. I had to sort out where I was going to go, according to the time they opened and user ratings on Yelp. I was looking for somewhere for lunch and many of the restaurants in the Geneva area are open only for dinner. The restaurant that I chose to go to was Preservation in Geneva. The entire area of Geneva almost feels like you are in another state out of Illinois. The streets have a unique incline and decline similar to San Francisco. The restaurants in the area also are extremely unique to their structure. Many are located in alleyways or attached to houses. The main draw for myself and my wife to go to Preservation restaurant was the outdoor seating area. Many have claimed that it is fantastic. The parking to get to most of the restaurants including Preservation is either street or in the parking garage. I was lucky enough to snag a spot in front of the restaurant. At first, I did not know which way to enter, but soon realized I needed to walk down an alley to meet the host. The restaurant also has a window service-only chicken eatery somewhat attached to Preservation restaurant. I walked down the uneven alleyway to my seat. There is a bar that is set up like somewhere off of a beach in Florida in the outdoor area. The vibe is very relaxed. The servers are all in plain clothes. The music played from the bar, but they have weekly musical guests that perform in the outdoor area. I sat waiting for our waitress enjoying the fantastic summer breeze. I truly felt like I was not in Illinois and I was on vacation. The menu is made up of small bites and sandwiches. This is definitely a place to go for drinks and a small bite to eat before or after dinner. I ordered myself a Cubano sandwich with a bowl of bacon tomato soup. My wife ordered their turkey sandwich and a cup of their French onion soup. The Cubano sandwich was good and the soup was very rich and flavorful. My wife enjoyed her turkey sandwich. Her soup was also flavorful and delicious. I will say that this place does have good food, but the main draw is the outdoor area. I could definitely see myself coming back here just to have a drink and enjoy the unique vibe that the restaurant has to offer. Everyone at the restaurant also was extremely friendly. I have more restaurants that I have reviewed in the Galena area that I will be posting soon. I rate Preservation a 7 out of 10 for the fantastic outdoor seating area.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Preservation participated in Geneva's restaurant week and I ordered the 9-taste special. The food was good (though nothing special) and for 9 tastes, I was stuffed at the end. The service was also good even though we felt rushed to pay while the restaurant was 3/4 empty. The atmosphere was stark, dark and less than appealing. Four walls, tables and chairs. That about covers it. They appear to have quite the outdoor bar area and it's likely they attract large crowds in the summer, but I don't think I'd be back for dinner.

Thames F.

Yelp
One of my favorite local restaurants. Great atmosphere. The back patio is awesome. Food is consistently very good. Drinks are great. I've had business lunches here, dinner with my wife, Santa for the kids ... it always works. Shrimp & grits are on point. I've enjoyed everything I've had here. My one and only complaint: management, please bring back the pickled watermelon rind!!

Mary D.

Yelp
I have been getting emails from this restaurant for over a year but never have gone. I decided to try it on a warm Sunday afternoon. Our waitress Amanda arrived a good 10 minutes after we sat. Super low energy. After seeing the skewers on another table, I decided to order the lamb skewers under the lunch section of the menu. We waited well over 30 minutes for our food. Were they busy, yes but I don't think that busy. Amanda put down my plate that consisted of 3 super tiny pies of lamb ($14.00) and laughed and said "probably not enough food, hahaha " . she was correct. To say it was tiny is an understatement. But the fact that she knew I ordered it as an entree (no other food was ordered) and did not to tell me the size of portion, was wrong on all accounts. I would have ordered something more hardy for $14.00. She came by and said laughing"how is everything? Probably no where near enough food. Do you want to order more food?" What? And wait another 30 minutes? I told her she should have told me about the portion size when I ordered rather than laughing about it when she dropped it off (apparently the joke was on me). I also said it took a long time for the food when we were there after 1:30. She agreed on all accounts and said it did take a long time and she should have said something about the portion size. She came back within minutes and slammed down the bill and said " I took off one of your drinks." Why would you take off a drink when I had no issues with my drinks. Is it because you don't need to have a manager approval to remove a drink versus food?Or because the drink was cheaper? I did not get offered dessert or another drink. I felt like I was being ordered out of the restaurant. I did say something to the manager . She was apologetic . She did offer a gift card but I declined as I want her to fix the issue. The restaurant does have a beautiful outside area, great music but it is overshadowed by the rude service and tiny portions for the price.

Shelley G.

Yelp
I had the lamb sliders & the Gin cocktail (Dginn juice) & everything was delicious!

Rupali K.

Yelp
We went in the evening on Friday and got seated inside. The server did not know the drink special, which is running for the entire month. She was not very helpful in providing input on the taste of the drink either. For vegetarians, there are options, but not to my taste. Flat pizza is very thin. Although falafel and mushroom tart are good. In the past, I liked the cheese dishes, too. But it was not very filling.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped at a restaurant last Sunday that I've been wanting to try for so long. It did not disappoint and surpassed my expectations. Preservation is a wine bar with shareables and also large plates. It has a small front area with more seating in the back and has an outdoor patio as well. Our server was Iris, who was engaging and friendly and on top of everything. I never needed to ask for a water refill. My husband and I each had a glass of wine while perusing the menu. The first thing we ordered to share was the bacon jam baguette...oh my gosh. Beyond good! Then we shared the grilled prawns. I loved the presentation and the flavor. Next, my husband and I had soup. He had tomato bacon and I had butternut squash. Creamy goodness. The photo of my butternut squash soup doesn't do it justice because I had to take the seeds off the top so it's not as pretty of a presentation. Lastly, my husband and I shared the lamb sliders. Tender lamb on focaccia with cucumber and tzatziki. Another great dish! Everything was absolutely delicious and there's so much more I want to explore on the menu. The head chef Blane makes creative, visually appealing, and delicious food. If you're near Geneva IL, you've got to check Preservation out!

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Came here for drinks and a snack before my birthday dinner. We ordered: The Prez Charcuterie board and the Bread Pudding Cocktails - Always Sunny, Secret Garden, Aye Papi We enjoyed the food but the cocktails were below average. A little on the sweet/syrupy side although the flavors were unique. Overall don't think I would recommend the cocktails but the food was good.

Cindi D.

Yelp
Stopped for a drink and appetizer at the outdoor bar. Had to scan the QR code for menu, browsed menu. Had water delivered immediately. Waited for about 10 minutes. No bartender showed up to take order or even say hey- we'll be with you in a minute. Walked out.

B.F. S.

Yelp
Food and drink were outstanding. Servers could not have been more helpful. I hadn't been in a long time and was pleasantly surprised by the outdoor area in the back. However, I was unpleasantly surprised that there were three dogs back there with their owners (two of which allowed their dogs to sit in the middle of the aisles). Hard to focus on my companion and the meal overhearing repeated refrains of "oh sorry" and "don't jump" as people stumble near our table!

Sarah R.

Yelp
While I enjoyed a very tasty Smoked Turkey Sandwich on sourdough... we lived through a gusher of a thunderstorm on the back outdoor patio. The Sammy was melt-in-your-mouth worth it though. And the little butter lettuce salad accompaniment was delish. I'm most definitely going back there for more. Yummm...

Brenda G.

Yelp
Love love love what the owners have done with this space. You have Atlas Chicken Shack on one side, Preservation on the other and then the large, year round heated patio in the back. You can order food from either restaurant or simply sit on the patio and sip your favorite beverage. They have live music most weekends. It can get a little loud but still enjoyable, especially love the steel drums on cold Sundays. I highly recommend the Mac 'n Cheese from Preservation. They also have a great variety of charcuterie items to choose from. If you want something a little less fancy, hit up Atlas Chicken Shack for some tenders & rice balls. Delicious!

CeCi C.

Yelp
It's not what it used to be.... I used to love this place, great food and great atmosphere... not anymore. Our server was wonderful, with a cute sense of humor. (Kaythrn I believe) The food is always good.... But... I don't enjoy sitting on a patio (when promised inside) and staring at dish racks for my entire meal while watching the hostess eat for 15+ minutes and hearing a dish cart rattling back and forth. Our group requested a paper paper and they refused .. this has never once happened. I was caught of guard as our group is 70+ and doesn't travel with their phones.

Wendy T.

Yelp
The food and the atmosphere were great, but be prepared to spend a lot of money! We've gone a couple times, sat both inside and outside. The back patio is great! And the food is very unique.

Meredith M.

Yelp
Yes, yes, yes! Since moving back to Geneva I miss this tapas place from my prior residence. But Preservation has stepped in and filled my small plate heart-hole. I love trying new foods and Preservation has a wide range of cheese boards, small bites and drinks to try. Everything is packed with rich flavor and wonderful pairings and combinations. I've just fallen in love.

Lauren D.

Yelp
First time at Preservation. The ambiance is cozy and chill. We chose to sit in the heated/covered/4 seasons type room. They did have heaters for the outside covered porch but decided to pass on those seats; although the atmosphere and bar looked fun. Will def sit outside when it gets warmer. Our waitress was super nice. She was working the tables by her self. It got pretty busy and she still rocked at her job. Our party of four all got different drinks. They were all absolutely delicious! Even the smell of each drink was amazing. The food was top notch. Everything we shared was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back!

Kristine F.

Yelp
Party of 3 for appetizers and dinner. Appetizers were fairly quick but served several minutes apart. Dinners were served over 5 minutes apart and when we asked why our dinners were coming out separately with so much time in between our server said the chef sends them out as he finishes them. If true, that's ridiculous. Other tables were getting their food at the same time. One person had lamb skewers which were good. One person had chicken breast salad and it was ok. I had flatbread (sausage/cheese) and it arrived looking like a bad pizza with half the cheese not melted. So not impressed and will not be returning. Many other better restaurant choices in Geneva.

Ali B.

Yelp
Loved the outdoor patio. Stopped in for lunch today! There were a couple yummy looking things on the menu, but I went for the veggie tacos with a side salad. The menu said it was a shareable plate but I ate it all so idk if it's really big enough to share. They weren't the best veggie tacos that I've had, but not bad! The falafel and grilled cheese looked super delicious too. My sister wanted an avocado salad but their said their avocado was all bad. Good service here.

Alli B.

Yelp
The place smells very bad. Not sure if it's a plumbing issue or what. It's like a dirty old bar smell. The food was very overpriced for what it was. $14 small tasteless pizza for an example. And they served us moldy cheese. Good wine selection and kind male host or manager, but they need to work on some things.

Ernie B.

Yelp
I like what Preservation is trying to do. I just never feel comfortable there. Our last visit was a few days ago. We made a reservation assuming we'd be in the little room behind the restaurant. We were not we were seated in the outdoor area. Kudos to them for trying to make us cozy, blankets and all. But it's not working on a 25 degree day. Sorry.... We asked to be moved inside but the hostess said no. I wouldn't normally call her out but she was rude about it. 4 people are in your restaurant you have empty tables in the area they thought they reserved. Seat them there!! The drinks were very good the food there is good not great but this last time out 0 stars for the ambiance. A great summer spot however!!

Michelle D.

Yelp
Went here last night for drinks and dinner with friends. Shared a bottle of Malbec with a friend, it was wonderful! Had the bacon jam on a grilled baguette with blue cheese, it was so good! Highly recommend. My husband and I split the chicken pot pie for dinner and it was perfect for splitting since we were going to order other appetizers since all the food has been phenomenal so far, we wanted to try more! We were able to add on an additional Al Pastore tofu taco since the original appetizers come with 3, we added on an additional one. When I come back, it'll be for these tacos alone. It blew me out of the water! The flavor was on point & the El Pastor was so tender and all the other flavors of the onions & Queso was so on point. We ended the evening with the focaccia lamb sliders. Those were gone in about two bites and 30 seconds! The lamb with cucumber & the tzatziki sauce on focaccia? Who would've thought? Focaccia? I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this establishment. Food was great, the drinks were good, the live music was wonderful, and our service was impeccable. We'll be back.

Kate J.

Yelp
Outdoor seating with heat lamps created a cozy ambiance. Pork belly tacos (delicious, spiced), falafel (yum), lots of great drink options. A big win in our book!

Sam G.

Yelp
Of Course I told My Wife she would struggle to get into any popular Breakfast joint on a late Sunday Morning...But that didn't stop her from trying and after trying like 3 joints she suggested Preservation...They opened at 11 and we had a couple of their specialty drinks , verdict ? Damn good ? Food ? Way above average, French onion soup for us is a treat done right and their FOS is right there ! Split some kind of amazing grilled cheese on buttery flakey bread .... I'd didn't suck !!! Finished with Homemade Pot Pies , beautifully done....I was here once before ( or so I'm told) but I didn't remember how amazing this place is.... Looks like I'll be hanging out there a lot more, the outside bar looks killer....Enjoy !

Mark P.

Yelp
Not sure if was an off night, but both food and drinks last night were not good. Charcuterie board had 3 meats and very salty costado- no mustards or jam. Meat was meh. Drinks- not balanced or fresh tasting-. Service was very good and nice patio but no reason to go back for food or drinks. Has gone downhill. Pricey as well 100 bucks for 3 small places and 2 drinks 2 wine

Karen N.

Yelp
Preservation does not fail to offer a relaxing atmosphere along with good food. Their drink menu is extensive. We usually order several food options and share. We started with the spring avocado salad. The avocado with tomatoes and onion on a bed of butter lettuce. The dressing is fresh and the salad is large enough to share. We also had the Korean Pork belly tacos and Vegetarian tacos. We added the lunch special to each order for $2.00 and had the french onion soup and tomato bacon soup. Both were very good. The vegetarian tacos were a little spicy , but not overpowering. The taco portions were good size and were very good. We also had the chicken pot pie. It was topped with a herbed puffed pastry. The pastry was flaky and sooo good. Highly recommend each food item we tried. Service was very good and all servers were wearing masks. Definitely will return when we are in the Geneva area.

Lori H.

Yelp
Beautiful large outside bar and dining area, delicious unique food and drink. Lots of live music on weekends. Easy parking

Jen F.

Yelp
The food is pricey, but always good. We love the live music. The addition of tipping musicians on your bill is brilliant. Only suggestion for improvement would be to add a charcuterie option with both meat and cheese.

Brian A.

Yelp
The first time my wife and I went to Preservation we had their Korean Pork Belly Tacos and loved them. Two days later we returned, excited to have them again. When the server brought our tacos to our table my first thought was that someone had accidentally spilled water all over them (like that Tim Robinson "Sloppy Steaks" skit), then I realized that they were sitting in a pools of grease. Hungry, I took a bite anyway, only to have grease squirt out all over my mouth, my hands and the table... I literally gagged. When I looked up from the mess on my plate I saw my wife holding one of her tacos on an angle with the grease running out in a steady stream. We called our server over and when we showed her the puddles of grease she made a disgusted face and said, "I'll get my manager". A few minutes later the manager came to our table and we repeated our complaint. She couldn't have seemed less interested. "Sometimes pork belly is greasy" she said. I told her that we cook pork belly all of the time at home and it has never been anywhere near THAT greasy. My wife added that we'd been there just two days prior and the tacos were perfect, to which the manager replied with obvious indifference, "Oh, sorry about that. Do you wanna try something else?". We didn't, and left vowing never to return.

Mary S.

Yelp
Found myself in Geneva Illinois around lunchtime on a Saturday. Got lucky and parked right across the street and decided to give Preservation a try! I'm so glad we did! We were seated in a lovely outdoor space. The waitress appeared instantly and offered drinks. We ordered sandwich shareables. The lamb and feta was a perfect combo. The turkey had the correct amount of smoke to enhance the sandwich without being overpowering. The onion soup at $2.50 as an accompaniment to a sandwich was a steal. Drinks were good and fairly priced. We couldn't resist the blueberry lemon bread pudding. We were glad we did! Highly recommended.

Vicki V.

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere-diners sat outside in back on a large deck. Guitarist singing ballads. The curry coconut soup was delicious but rich-a cup is enough. Bacon jam appetizer very good. European cheese plate was also good-we added a meat from charcuterie list-Italian spec-ham. Their charcuterie is all meat unlike most versions that include fruit, nuts, chutney's etc... For 2 people, 3 shared dishes is prob enough-we were so full, didn't have room for dessert. Prices were reasonable.

Alyson D.

Yelp
On a day trip go Geneva, my husband and I stopped here for a quick bite-food and drinks were both fantastic! Love the outdoor patio for seating-not too loud and tables are far enough apart for privacy. Service was fast and friendly!

Tim F.

Yelp
Great bar outside. Great music on weekends. Excellent four. Always like to stop in for a few drinks and small plates to enjoy an evening or weekend to relax with my wife and or friends with great food, drinks, and fun atmosphere. Can't miss the stop while in Geneva.

Carrie D.

Yelp
Love the Social Bar with service from both Preservation and Atlas Chicken Shack. George at the bar makes the best Old Fashions. And live music every day!

Betzaida G.

Yelp
It's a nice place to eat with friends as live music plays. It was a nice place; however, if you are picky on how the staff should dress, I would not recommend this place as the team doesn't have a proper uniform for the restaurant.

Sara T.

Yelp
Went on St Pat's day to see Magoo sing. I did make on line reservations for outside seating at 6 but when I got there I was able to sit at the bar which I prefer. Had a tasty Irish queen cocktail and a cows milk cheese platter (3 different cheeses, walnuts and bread) very good. Also tried the Reuben which we were told all ingredients were made in house - it was amazing! The bar service was a bit slow for sitting at a bar but everyone was very nice and we really love this venue.

Matthew S.

Yelp
This place was a one and done for me. I gave them two stars because the atmosphere and service was good. This could be a great place for just a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board between friends. I came for a meal and I didn't really find that on the menu and what I did find was subpar in quality especially for the price. I'd say come here pre or post dinner.

MARGARET B.

Yelp
Experienced a wonderful lunch that was both delicious and beautifully presented. Our waitress could not have been nicer and very good at her job. We had the lemon ricotta asparagus crostini ( amazing) and the steak skewers ( cooked to perfection and delicious) only 3 of each on a plate but shared by two people was filling but no leftovers. We left room for dessert and the chocolate torte we chose was delectable. We will be back!

Yelp
Amazing service with being able to move us inside due to rough weather. Food is always fantastic and the outdoor seating area and live music is a super cool atmosphere.

Yelp
I went on a Wednesday Night. The restaurant was pretty much empty. I got some strange looks. Someone asked what I needed, I responded a table for 1. He said give us a minute. I waited a while and was ready to leave when a girl asked if she could seat me. She asked inside or out. I said out. She then walked me through the back of the restaurant onto the back patio. I had a seat at the bar. The first man I met was my bartender. Jason. I ordered an old fashion. It was a decent old fashion. He at least did make them super fast. They did not have a cherry. They weren't worth $11. They were worth $5. The bartender never really came to check on me. Anytime I needed something I had to get his attention. I ordered the beef short rib pie with a puff pastry crust. 2 of my favorite things. It came out fairly quickly. It ended up being just a pot roast with puff pastry on top. The pastry was good. The pot roast tasted like canned soup. According to the menu they have live music every night. So if you like live music that would be great. If you're looking for a quite dinner, you can sit at one of the 5 tables inside, or eat somewhere else. When I left the restaurant, I could hear the guy playing his guitar from 3 blocks away. Over all, I don't recommend it. Food was mediocre, drinks were mediocre, service was mediocre.
