I guess some genius at the strategy department at Pret (Jab Jolding, a PE of course), decided that only one employee was required to run locations like this, including being a barista, cashier, replenish the shelfs, etc. the result: empty counters, long queues and below average coffee. I’ve been coming to this branch everytime I visit London for work, and can speak first-hand of the extremely poor decision from Pret’s ownership to streamline in-store operations like this. I guess someone is getting ready to boost the books and prepare an exit of this asset.
