Google
The pesto chicken salad slaps and it’s like 12 bucks. People bitching about the price act like there’s a cheaper alternative. Spoiler alert: this is an airport, they got you by the balls, there isn’t one. At least the food here is filling, tasty and healthy.

I'm just going to assume that there isn't a "street pricing" requirement on food at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) because $11.20 for an Egg Salad sandwich. $11.95 for a cheese and tomato sandwich and $9.49 for a can of Goose IPA is absurd. At 9:30 AM, shelves were well stocked with sandwiches, beverages and such. A queue had formed for coffee so I skipped that. They have a clever self-checkout that worked well. Don't get me wrong - Pret sandwiches are awesome. I got hooked on them when I lived in the UK for two years. Their coffee over there was great and these fresh sandwiches are delicious. But here at LAX? Overpriced by 100%.

What an amazing place with coffee/food/treat options early in morning. The staff/manager recently opened 24 hours but few are aware on social media so without support it may be short lived 🫣 - it is accessible from terminals 4 all the way to terminal 8 if you have already passed security. The staff are dedicated, genuine, and I’m lucky to have ventured over here this early. The options to eat and drink are abundant!!

This is the third time in a row that I have bought them Moroccan Lentil soup, which is really delicious. This is at the LAX. Soup comes with a topper (says to ask for Topper). Each time I asked the batista for the aforementioned topper, I was told they were out. Perhaps one has to be lucky. I was not all the 3 times. Is this a coincidence? Anyway, lentils are just fine even without the topper. Stop putting the topper as a sticker on the cup so we don't waste time in the line to ask for it.

Almond croissant dry and expensive. Didn’t order usual cold brew bc they don’t have heavy cream (only half n half - probably fine if not wanting to eat low carb)

Came here at 5:15am. I'm so glad there's something opened at this hour. Just glad to ladies were professional, and quick with the Chai Latte. I was pretty much in and out. Probably should have tried their other items.

Google
Picked up my $11.95 tuna and cucumber sandwich and $14.95 was rung up at the checkout for a tuna baguette. Queried with the attendant who checked my sandwich was not a baguette then rang up $14.95 anyway. Even when shown a photo of their very own price tag for a tuna sandwich at a price of $11.95 I was informed “that is not the price”.

I ordered a hot mocha and a double chocolate cookie and want very tasty. The cookie was hard and crunchy, but maybe that's the way it's supposed to be? The mocha was very bland. As far as airport coffee shops go, this one was nice enough and the lady who serve me was also very friendly and efficient. It was 9 p.m. but there was a long line of people so I doubt the cookie was crunchy because it was old or something.

Yelp
December 15, 2024 was my first time visit to Pret. I like this place. The market-style design is inviting. The baked goods are freshly baked. I was able to try the Almond and Chocolate Croissants, which were flaky with an indulgent amount of filling, not the usual stingy hint you get in some pastries. Drip coffee is self-serve, but they do offer espresso-based drinks that are made to order. What I found unique is the company's attention to fresh ingredients, antibiotic-free chicken, organic milk, fresh basil leaves, pole/line-caught tuna, and organic coffee. These points aren't common, let alone at an airport. These last who helped me was super friendly. (She told me she has worked at LAX for 19 years!) The other staff were also friendly. My experience was far better than that at the ho-hum Starbucks that seem to be everywhere. I'm glad I waited and go my coffee and morning pastries here.

Yelp
Rock hard b... bread? The 1 star review is specifically for the baguette bread. Assumably made fresh here I picked one up on a whim while browsing in the store for the first time. The store was clean, staff attentive. Lots of good looking things to try - the sandwiches looked really great... yet, what caught my attention was not the sweets or the premade sandwiches, it was the bread! I enjoy baguette bread, so I picked up a loaf. Long story short, the baguette loaf was hard as a FUUuunctioning Rock less than 2 days later. Not sure if the bread was made fresh the day I bought it... no way to determine the date baked, nor was there any expiration date assigned to the loaf by a stamp or any other form of printed label on the bag it came in. I'm certain this place sells excellent products, but it was not apparent in the baguette bread loaf. My advice - don't pick up the baguette bread unless you know it is absolutely fresh, or made that very day you pick it up.

Yelp
If you get hot/cold sandwich with any of their bottled drinks, you can use the self check out. Easy in and out. (I think this is what people like about this place, otherwise the counter is so slow) The egg sandwiches are fluffy but very bland, the bacon is limpy. The egg/cheese sandwich probably doesn't sell as much (as the egg/bacon/cheese), the bottom bread is so toasted. At almost 10 bucks a piece, it's very pricey, but other places charge more so this is actually the more affordable place in lax. We were waiting in line for coffee but the line is so slow we actually got to see the menu. Regular coffee is $5, coffee with milk or cappuccino is $7.5, then we realized it's not worth it. There is a starbucks nearby but the line is way long. Probably better to just get coffee on flight, unless you have/willing a lot of time to kill.

Vince L.

Yelp
Easy to get in and out. Good selection. And if you're ordering fresh made items, there's a scanning self checkout. I got a big sandwich and an orange juice.

Yelp
This is a solid food place to grab sandwiches on tbe go and perhaps one of my favorite international franchises. While about to hop a plane intl style their freshness was anazing as experienced in the cucumber tuna sandwich and the tuna cucumber baguette. Both were incredibly fulfilling and delish. So was the chicken salad with avocado. All in all the best franchise at LAX

Carlo G.

Yelp
Got the iced coffee with hazelnut flavoring, but wished the coffee was sweeter. I also got the chocolate croissant which they warmed up for me. It was chocolateley and flaky.

Dan Bi W.

Yelp
We got an iced americano and and iced vanilla latte. Both were so average and it cost us $16! The service was also mid.

Yelp
This has to be the worst Pret I've ever been to.. prior to my flight I looked up reviews online to see what offerings they'd tend to have, only to get here at 8 am and the hot breakfast area be wiped clean.. when I asked the cashier if they'd have anymore breakfast items, his response was that he didn't know, bc they don't have packaging for them, so he thinks that's why it's not available, but he didn't really know.. everyone that worked there seemed rather clueless, and offered not only me, but other customers no real answers to questions asked- just IDK. If coming to terminal B, steer clear of this location, as they more than likely won't have what you'd like, even if it's only 8 in the morning

Yelp
Long, long layover in LAX. Pret opens at 4:30am. They have fresh baked croissants that are still warm at that time! We had great service from the server. She welcomed us, described each type of croissant and cookie. She said the supervisor came in really early to bake the pastries. Was willing to explain about the tea selection. Decent variety of coffees, teas, both hot and cold. They also serve pre-made sandwiches and a few other items such as salads. Cost? Typical airport expensive. Croissants? Yummy. Good quality. Would eat them again. Tea was good quality. Larger than expected, too! Hard to get excited about Airport concessions, but was impressed with the service and they tasty fresh baked croissants.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick bite before my flight. Paid $12 for a dry tuna sandwich and $6 for an orange juice. When I asked if I can get hot water, they said no because they don't want to be liable if I get burnt, however I can order hot coffee and hot tea and there won't be a problem if I get burnt. Just save your time and go to the Starbucks across.

C T.

Yelp
The coffee here is atrocious. I ordered an iced latte and an iced coffee - both were the worst coffee I've had in years. Based on the flavor they clearly have no idea how to pour a shot of espresso. There must be no little to no pressure in whatever machine they are using. I highly recommend getting your coffee elsewhere at the airport.

Bradley P.

Yelp
Probably the worst coffee I've had in a long time. Gas station coffee, terrible aftertaste.

Jessica P.

Yelp
Selections of sandwiches are good but they aren't fresh or tasty as the ones you get in the UK. Bread was soggy and chicken wasn't tasting authentic.

Armen Y.

Yelp
Pretty is conveniently located in Terminal B. It is almost quick, there are some lines early morning, but not terrible. My latte was not hot enough. I would prefer warmer. Quality was average. I would say it is okay if you need quick coffee before your flight.

Sal S.

Yelp
Staff so busy that they giving a bad customer service.. for a simple coffee you get no instructions where and how to get it .. staff act like the customer supposed to know where everything is and how to get it. Three women and running like headless chickens. No bueno

Geri C.

Yelp
A short queue. Has its own eating area adjacent to the food court. Service was brisk. Cinnamon roll and chicken salad sandwiches, plus large coffee set us back $30: this is airport food after all. Pleasantly surprised by the food quality.

Disgusted C.

Yelp
Even when you order something, they don't give out a cup of ice even if you offer to pay for the cup. You have to buy another drink! Ridiculous!

Celeta T.

Yelp
I'm not sure if this rating is fair seeing that it was midday by the time I reached them, however it is the airport and people fly all times of the day. I was a little diappointed when I realized there was n prepackaged fruit left. Plenty of boiled eggs but no salads or fruit bowls. There were also plenty of prepackaged sandwiches. Unfortunately I wasn't ready for breakfast so I decided to catch the shuttle to the other side of the restaurant. That's all I got.

Sarah A.

Yelp
I ordered a large organic coffee ($4.50) and an almond croissant ($5.50) totaling $11 (at their LAX location.). Unfortunately, the coffee was bitter and tasted like mud--as if it was from a pot made overnight instead of fresh. When I asked for a cup of hot water, the manager (one who wore glasses and long lashes) immediately responded with a rude No and slammed an empty cup on the counter telling me to go get my coffee. I hope LAX will switch out a vendor who treats travelers right and with respect!

Lauryn D.

Yelp
Not great for Gf, not sure what the hype is, I got a caramel latte and it tasted straight like steamed milk. Big bummer.

Yelp
Good selection of healthy food at LAX! I was about to get on a 5 hour flight and wanted to get something healthy with me as lunch on the flight, and I was super happy to have found this eatery. Located in terminal 5 of LAX airport, this eatery offers tea/coffee and good selection of warm entrees, healthy salad and sandwiches. I was there near breakfast time and was very impressed to see delicious selection of warm quiches and egg sandwiches. For salad, they also have very good selection of salad topped with your choice of chicken, salmon or falafel. I ordered the salad topped with salmon fillet and it came with generous serving of salmon, avocado, spinach and quinoa. As for the service, this is a casual eatery where patrons grabbed prepared food and pay at the register. My salad cost around $11 and it was very reasonable given the quality and quantity of food. This eatery is definitely a nice departure from the normal greasy, unhealthy and overpriced airport food. Will definitely return before my next flight there!

Alex R.

Yelp
The food is ok, the service is decent but manager there has to be the most racist person ever. She got bothered by my Hispanic mom because she doesn't speak English well and she got irritated and she called me over to help her and she was telling me that she was aggressive with her and I asked for her name and she Levenia or however you spell her name she's the most rudest person I've ever met

Christian D.

Yelp
Everything had mayonnaise or eggs in it so I couldn't eat anything. Was looking forward to a typical British high street sandwich but left hungry after having eaten no food. Why can't they do a simple ham and cheese sandwich? If you can eat mayonnaise then I think it might be worth a visit.

Emily C.

Yelp
In the airport freezing and asked if I could just have a hot water. Told me I would have to pay for a tea which is $4. Then I asked if I could just get a water than with no ice. Because the airport is freezing. Still would have to pay $4. I totally could be wrong but don't they have to give free water upon request. I'm not trying to get one over on them. I'm just simply freezing, and she wasn't even kind about it.

Rosslyn D.

Yelp
The service i received at preta i (Tom Bradley) at LAX air port by a lady that worked here was so sad, she spoke to me in English, but when I order some coffee, she put her dirty hands on the rim of the cup, so I ask for another cup, So her friend spoke so rude to me .and said she have to touch the cup,yes but can she put gloves on. She picked up all the cups with her hands, so I said no coffee for me, she walked away, so I asked her friend where she going she said to get a manager i guess. Always BAD service!!!!!!! P.S They have good food just BAD SERVICE

Otto B.

Yelp
I loved this cafe network from the moment I saw it in Paris on the Champs Elysees. A small cafe of format 7-11, but it works perfectly - there are dishes for every taste and inexpensive. Cafe in Los Angeles Airport is about the same format, but larger. there are tuna sandwiches, but there were no salmon that I loved in paris. Probably, in the USA it is more expensive or not in demand, but it was not at the airport. raspberry lemonade is very tasty, fruit too.

Claudia L.

Yelp
About as good as it's gonna get if you're trying not to eat garbage at the airport. Google says it's closed but as of 11/2022 it is not.

Sophie A.

Yelp
I am so glad the airport finally has a quick easy place to grab food. I was flying American and they have the worst terminal when it comes to food... so i walked the quick walk to the international terminal and stopped here! They are open early, customer service is great, and they have healthy options!!!

Anthony H.

Yelp
Love the shop. Been waiting for them to finally open!! The food is great. Sandwiches are perfect to take on the plane. Choices are abundant with sandwiches, salads, yogurts, pastries, among other things.

Andrew A.

Yelp
Five stars for the staff alone. Layover and the morning crew that opened up were so awesome.

Jane M.

Yelp
Perfect healthy options to take on the plane and avoid the less than palatable plane food! UK brand of coffee shop, miles better than Starbucks!

Vivienne R.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing. I ordered a croissant, latte, tomato soup, and a vanilla latte. It was so good and I promise its greater than any coffee shop.

Steven W.

Yelp
Same place as in London England great quality and service . Nice to see this company in the United States .

Don W.

Yelp
I was so impressed with the quality of the three items I ordered! The ham and spinach omelet was hot and moist, the pain au raisin was warm and delicious. Coffee from Peru was full of flavor. An unexpected great experience!

Alina M.

Yelp
Just walked in to get a coffee and they only have decaf???What kind of place is this? A coffe place with no coffee.

Whitney E.

Yelp
So happy to have a Pret A Manger in LA -- it's the BEST! I always looked forward to going to Pret when in the UK or on the East Coast. I usually tend to favor family businesses instead of chains, but Pret is exceptional. It's always fresh, reliably delicious, with consistently healthy options. My favorite is the egg salad sandwich -- so perfectly yummy and comforting! I also believe they donate any food they have at the end of the day to underserved organizations and communities. I'd come here all the time if it wasn't in the middle of an airport. Guess I'll just have to take an international trip sometime just so I can get my hands on a tasty egg salad sandwich from Pret!

Ariel C.

Yelp
After we had already paid, we realized their health department score was a B (it's hard to see, off to the side behind the coffee bar). While they were putting the tops on the coffee, they touched the mouth piece with their hands-- after we saw them handling money and cards. We decided to cut our $20 losses and toss the drinks and food (which I never do-- I hate wasting!) Anyways, order at your own risk.

Peter W.

Yelp
Not sure what these people are thinking re customer service? I order a small coffee only to be told they were out of small cups and would a medium size do. I said yes but only wanted to pay for a small so suggested they don't fill the medium to the top. They suggested I should go to Starbucks as the would have small available. As I had waited for some time to get served I opted to pay for the medium. Come on America, your service standard used to amazing but now it seems to have got deplorable. And the expectation for tips keep going up. Wake up and change the system - it's no working!
