I stopped by Pret a Manager at 5:00 pm, which apparently is equivalent to arriving at a party after the music has stopped and the snacks are gone. I mean, I've seen more extensive menus on a fridge magnet. But hey, I wasn't entirely unlucky! I scored a delicious yogurt without sugar - because, let's be real, who needs sugar when you're already feeling bitter about the limited options? In all seriousness, I'm sure Pret a Manager is a great spot...in the morning. Maybe I'll try my luck then. Until next time, I'll just have to pretend I'm on a sugar-free, option-less diet. P.S. If you're a morning bird, go for it! If you're a afternoon snacker like me...well, may the odds be ever in your favor.

I love their balsamic chicken and mozerella sandwhich. You can taste the freshness of their baguettes in every bite. Their caesar dressing with their chicken salad taste very good as well. I LOVE their caesar dressing, I can honestly drink that stuff! Their lemonade is good as well.

Google
Coffee is not what it used to be. Prices on food options have almost doubled. For the price you would hope it was organic. Still its great option to grab and go a wrap, soup or Sandwich. I wish they had gluten fee. No options last time I checked. Place is clean and the service is fast.

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding my recent pick up order experience at your Broad Street location in Lower Manhattan. As a loyal Pret club member who frequents your establishments daily for my morning coffee and breakfast, I have come to expect a certain level of service and satisfaction, which unfortunately was not met during my visit to the Broad Street location. This morning, I placed a pick up order for a salmon sandwich and a cappuccino, expecting the same level of service I receive at your Church Street location, where the staff consistently goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Upon arriving at the Broad Street location at the designated pick up time, I was dismayed to find that my sandwich was not on the pick up shelf as expected. When I approached the counter and inquired about my order, the staff member, described as a short gentleman with olive/light brown skin, looked so confused and then directed me to retrieve the sandwich myself from the rack. Furthermore, after retrieving the sandwich, I requested napkins and a bag, as I have never had to do so at any of your other locations due to the items being conveniently packed inside a bag on the pick up shelf. To my surprise, I was informed by the same staff member that the bag would cost 5 cents, delivered in a manner that was discourteous and off-putting. Instead of asking me how I’d like to pay for the price of the bag (which should’ve been sorted out on the app when I was charged for my order by anyways), the gentleman goes on to tell me he could give me napkins but the bag would cost 5 cents, almost in a tone to deter me from talking to him any further. As a customer, it is disheartening to be met with such lack of courtesy and professionalism, especially at the start of my day. Instead of being greeted with the warmth and hospitality I have come to associate with Pret, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the manner in which they are addressed and rectified is crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty. I hope that this incident can serve as an opportunity for improvement in customer service training and overall experience at your Broad Street location. If there is going to be changes in the policy such as the bags would now be charged for, I’d request Pret to please notify these new policies via phone app or post them at their stores.

Google
I'm a loyal Pret member service is great at other stores in the neighborhood but the workers here are obnoxious and make for a miserable experiance. Rush you out of the store if even remotely close to closing time. No napkins or straws. Hope they can be improve service as so strange so subpar compared to other PRETS.

Google
Excellent. Friendly staff and as Scottish people we appreciated proper creamy porridge with a nice topper!

Google
Good clean grab and go type food establishment. Lots of variety along with canned and bottled beverages. Don't expect the coffee machine to pump out very good coffee.

Very biased people here even customer service. They promised me with a gift card and I never received anything. My wife noticed too many brown burns in the chips and I complained to the cashier they looked at me and uttered ironically “ Not sure if you ever ate chips before.” I was really shocked from the comment and in front of other customer. I contacted customer service that gave me the script and said they will send a gift card and nothing has been sent. I will escalate this to executive management and will write to CEO of this chain.

Yelp
It's understaffed so the wait can be long. The food is hit or miss - burnt food, missing ingredients, etc. However, the staff is nice.

Yelp
I remember when I first walked into the place, I was starting my first corporate desk job in the city. I didn't really feel confident in this area and I was clearly having trouble figuring out what I wanted to eat. Ange saw me having trouble with a decision and helped me choose and ever since then, I always stop by at least once a week. I only wanted something quick and get to work, but it turned out to be a lot more than just a place to grab food. They treat me like I am important, not just because I am a customer, but because I am human. I know it sounds like every other place should be doing this, but they really make me feel like I am not another face in the crowd. That my life has meaning and that there are other people out there besides my family that are actually happy to see and talk to me. I cannot say the same for other locations, but the Pret employees at this location are like family to me. I have been through a lot of family trauma in the recent months and there were times I really didn't think I would be able to push forwards. Basically, my uncle was one of the 3 victims of the Avalanche that happened in Seattle on March 25. I was distraught and my family was looking to me for strength and stability. I wanted to give up, quit, forget about everything or hide and just find another, easier job. However, on the day I was going to put in my 2-weeks, I came to Pret and talked with Ange and the manager. They brought my mood up and helped me gain confidence in myself. They helped me realize that I need to stay strong and to work hard, not only for myself, but for everyone that is rooting for my success. I'm not sure where their passions lie, but I know their morals are beyond ascendant. They unknowingly helped me make a positive change in my life by just being who they are on a day to day. I cannot promise the same experience to everyone else that walks into this location, but I can guarantee that the folks in this store are great human beings. Keep it up you guys. TL;DR: The employees here have hearts of gold. The amount of respect they treat me with warrants a good yelp review.

Yelp
The staff ruins this Pret for me. On two separate occasions, I have ordered an Iced Mocha Latte and was given a Hot Mocha Latte. I even put emphasis on "Iced", because I always ask for "not that much ice". The ladies have been rude both times in remaking my drink for me and made me wait up to 10 minutes. Today, there was a line forming almost out the door, and one cashier, but multiple employees. I was second in line so I found out that the wait was due to the fact that the cashier was having a full blown 5 minute conversation with the group of 2 customers in front of me. She kept talking about how interesting it was that the customers are from Europe, and it just went on and on for a full 5 minutes. The customer who was behind me even began cussing under his breath and mostly everyone looked clearly frustrated that the cashier was not moving the line. To add, every time I have been here, the employees are always muttering and not making eye contact. I can hardly every hear what they are saying. The attitudes are horrible! So bad that this I felt compelled to post on Yelp for the first time. 2 Stars because the coffee and food are pretty decent. Will be going to other Prets for better customer service though.

Yelp
Wanted a quick soup and sandwich. They were fast but as you see in the pic the grilled cheese was something to wonder about. It was like two pieces of dry bread with one small slice of cheese melted in the middle. Very dry very unappetizing. The pumpkin soup was a bit watery but was okay and I dipped the bread "grilled cheese" in it to help both products. Overly disappointed. I've had grilled cheese at other locations that was not like this. I would return it but I had too much work to do to go back downstairs.

Carlos O.

Yelp
While working had to make a quick pit stop here and grab a bowl of mix crab and salad. I been passing by this store since February that I started working and I never wanted a salad so bad like yesterday. For 10$ that was farely one of the best salad bowls I had so fresh. The crab was delicious!! The service was also great. Felt very comfortable buying from this place. Will return.

Phil H.

Yelp
Typical Pret. For a chain it's still healthier than fast food options and the food choices are pretty fresh. A decent lunch for a quick grab and go. Tasty soups and that Moroccan lentil is so good. A variety of freshly made daily sandwiches and salads to choose from. Lots of seating here but can be crowded at lunch hour. Tables open quickly though. Decent service.

Jessica C.

Yelp
I need one of these near me on the west side in LA. I love Pret. And now that they have the lobster salad with avocado, I am an even bigger fan. $16 for that glorious salad, YES PLEASE! I had to do a double take when I first saw this when I got off the train into NYC. BUT, then they had it at the Pret near my hotel. Best deal! Ok, is it the "best" quality lobster - debateable BUT there is claw meat and big chunks of it...and the avocado is green, not brown...BONUS! (Hey. That's important - nothing grosses me out more than a brown avocado) so yeah. I can't really complain. All ingredients tasted great and can compete with any steakhouse lobster salad I've had lately. Lunch tomorrow and the next day...until I leave...will be the lobster salad at Pret.

Tina C.

Yelp
Every now and then I enjoy a fresh tasting sanwich that is not overwhelming with filling of it contents. Albeit I must agree with other Yelpers that Pret A Manger is ridiculously overpriced for a measly Smoked ham and Parmesan sandwich that is not plentiful at $5.99. At this Financial District location, service is attentive and courteous as I always request a sales receipt to track my notes to write my Yelp reviews should business cards or take-out menu are not available. Note to laptop and tablet device junkies: Free Wi-Fi connection where password is noted on sales receipt available upon request.

Clifford A.

Yelp
I'm in love with the salmon avocado salad!!! And after that, go with the hazelnut chocolate croissant! Omg. Always fresh.

Michelle W.

Yelp
get their premium pass! it's $20/mo and you can get any espresso drinks/cold brew/tea every hour if you wanted. the staffs are so friendly and are good vibes. i see that they've updated their salad boxes and their food looks really fresh again so maybe next time i'll get lunch from there again. otherwise their pastries and their drinks are great!

Ying L.

Yelp
My new go-to spot for a quick bite. There are a pretty good variety of food options. There are salads, sandwiches, soups, and pastries. I love how there are mini salads, so on days I am not too hungry I can just grab that. The cashiers are also very friendly, always greeting me with a smile.

Em B.

Yelp
More like 3.5 stars. This is a cool and hip little sandwich shop that we discovered on our way to Ground Zero. Yummy fresh and organic fare if that's what you are looking for. I love the fact that they donate their unsold food to charity at the close of the day. After a few days of hot dogs, pizza and other similar fare, my body was screaming for a salad. What I had: Pret's Cobb & Greens Salad: antiobiotic-free grilled chicken, walnuts, blue cheese crumbles, cranberries, cherry tomatoes, and mesclun with a balsamic vinagrette. It was quite good and hit the spot. I also ordered a Chai Latte which I wasn't too fond of, even after I had doctored it up with Splenda. Next time I will pass.

Shani A.

Yelp
It's Healthy , Yummie , soups are soooo good and the hot wraps are delicious . They have the brownie bits which is heavenly good , their prices are fair , you can grab a few snacks to go , or to stay over , the place is so cute and located in the heart of the city , actually they have so many stores in the city , whenever I'm in manhatten and feeling a bit hungry I'm grabbing a bite and off to the train .

Yelp
After 3 years of Wall Street area lunch burn out I gave up. I started going to Pret every single day. Everything else was poop. Pret has predictable sandwiches that aren't half bad and that I don't have to wait for. The ice coffee sucks but has caffeine. The chocolate chip cookie is awesome and warm and Serious Eats approves. There's a nice girl who must be the manager who's the most sincerely courteous person I've ever run into in New York City. It really makes my lunch. Also, I appreciate that they've taken a line out of Taiichi Ono's philosophy and use kanban (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanban) on their sandwiches. The sticker that seals the sandwiches and salads is actually a clock. The sticker is marked at the time that the sandwich is made (for internal use). Here's a pic: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/QDWWhYd571INh669LuPNQQ?select=2KVJSpdxPygz6rPrpduHIA. Note the mark at 5 o'clock (probably AM). But alas, I don't work in Financial Dist anymore so.... see ya suckers!

Yovan O.

Yelp
Sad to give a 1-star review for my favorite Pret. The staff here is great and I have no complaints about the food or the juice. However, the ONLY reason I go (sorry .. went) to Pret was for dark roast coffee. Which has now apparently been discontinued. This makes a 4-5 star Pret a zero star Pret in my book. Pret has now lost a long-time customer.

Warren A.

Yelp
Pret is a solid choice for a quick lunch in this busy area. Just pick what you want from off the shelves whether you want cold food or hot. Plenty of healthy options to choose from. Some seating in this branch which can get pretty crowded during the lunch rush. Plenty of cashier's so the wait is never too long to pay. Overall, good branch

Ariana F.

Yelp
Can always count on Pret to get a good, quick lunch at a decent price. They have a wide variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, juices, some baked goods and coffee. The food is all prepackaged made that day and ready to grab and go. My favorites are the mac n cheese (both the butternut squash one and the spinach tomato one are delicious), the spinach artichoke grilled cheese and the classic grilled cheese are also a good choice as well as the quinoa salads.

Farzan Z.

Yelp
Place is clean and well maintained with friendly staff. My main complaint is that there's nothing on the shelves even by 7 am, and i don't consider parfait as a breakfast, i mean sandwiches. The sign on the door says open at 5:30 am, and still by 7 am there's nothing on the shelves. In short sandwiches are good and tasty, but if you can find any on the shelves, at 7 am, when i am on my way to work !!!

Michelle W.

Yelp
Life is good when there's a Pret in the neighborhood. I'm not kidding or trying to be poetic when I say for grab and go lunches, this UK-based sandwich shop chain rocks. It's my standby. If nothing else appeals to me, or if i don't have a particular craving, I'm going to Pret for it's quality fresh food, affordable prices, clean surroundings and quick and often pleasant service. Today's lunch was the balsamic chicken and mozzarella on a baguette. The chicken was downright flavorful, the mozzarella was the perfect mild accompaniment to it and the bread light, fluffy, and fresh as always. I often find that even after eating a sandwich from here I enjoy feeling light. I mean full but not ready to sleep full. Able to walk around, to stay awake at my desk and actually complete some tasks full. My bf complains though about their portion sizes and prices not matching up. He swears they should be cheaper but I tell him that most of the food is not anything like the dirty deli food that he's used to eating. No processed meats, no greasy walls or sweaty cooks, and the food is made fresh daily. Other food wins at Pret: Spicy shrimp and cilantro wrap California club sandwich Egg and quinoa pot Egg Salad and Arugula sandwich Salmon and pickled veggies power lunch Bang bang chicken wrap

Alex F.

Yelp
I will not be back here. I walk up to the counter as no one is there and I'm literally standing there in front of the cashier for quite a few minutes. He's talking but not making eye contact. I'm not sure what he's saying because it's in a low mumble. I honestly thought he was talking into a headphone set. And then he glances at me and annoying shouts welcome to pret! I'm like oh are you talking to me? Meanwhile he's staring ahead not at me. So I order. And he rings me up all the while still not talking to me or looking at me. I stand to the side and I wait 10 mins for them to make my coffee. Three other patrons came up after me and left before me. By the time I got my coffee my bagel was cold and dry. I was asked by two people behind the counter of I was being helped and I told them both still waiting in my coffee. Then this nice gentleman in a white outfit helped me out and finally my coffee was made. What really turned me off was there was 5 people behind the counter and the person making my drink disappeared for 5 mins to get mocha flavoring. Why was that not pre stocked at the start of the day? Why are there five of you and my coffee is not being made? Why are you talking unprofessionally in front of customers? Two stars for the two people behind the counter who seemed to care about their job and the people ordering food.

Julian F.

Yelp
I'm not gonna lie -- I really like this Pret for some reason. They've often given me a free cup of (pretty good!) coffee, which is always nice. It's also a decent place to sit if you have to kill time in the area. One sad thing is that they discontinued the nori wrap, which was my go-to sandwich here. Guess I'll have to expand my horizons.

Daniela C.

Yelp
Great place! So welcoming and great food. I had their pastries and was really impressed.

Jeanette V.

Yelp
This is a great spot to go during my half hour lunch. Very affordable. The food is fresh and organic. Mostly salads, wraps, sandwiches etc.

Cyrenthia W.

Yelp
Just found a damn hair stuck to my cookie. Cmon Pret get it together! Yuck It addition, the cookie is hard as heck.

Valerie V.

Yelp
I've died and gone to lunch heaven. I can't speak to the actual store itself as my Pret A Manger lunch was catered to my job but oh boy they made quite the impression. Balsamic chicken with mescalin greens and avocado on 9 grain bread. TO DIE FOR. Pretty and fancy crisp and fresh tasting bottled water. Fresh fruit cup. Yum yum yum. My only qualm, none of the packaging is labeled so you kinda have to guess what you're getting. This Pret is right up the street from my job. I can't wait to go. Subway watch out you've got competition!

Chris J.

Yelp
The Limeys got it right, or at least partially right. Having seen this place, I'm thinking to myself; why didn't I think of that. Organic and healthy fast food - DUH?!?! That's why I work for the man. The concept is brilliant. However, Pret's execution is lacking. Fresh and organic food is a no brainer for me. So I will pay a premium for it, but this is a little ridiculous, $4 for a half a sandwich. C'mon now. Usually I like to engage in foreplay or at least get kissed before I bend over and take it in the posterior region. The one outstanding item on the menu, in this guy's humble opinion is: The Moroccan Lentil Soup. You can bet that too is $4 for a small. I think I should invest in a rape whistle.

Mona N.

Yelp
Reason No. 98437593847534 I miss NY Pret... and all of its lunchtime yuppie madness =(

Gourmet G.

Yelp
Despite the French name, this chain of upscale sandwich shops is British . . . in London they're as ubiquitous as Starbucks is here. Don't be put off by the pre-packaging - anything unsold by closing is donated to charity, so whatever you purchase is guaranteed to be freshly-made that day. If the selections here were as creative as those available in the UK - like smoked roast salmon and cucumber with horseradish mayo, or crayfish and avocado - and they were less expensive, I'd give them an extra star. They also carry wraps, soup, salads, beverages, and some very tempting desserts

Leighann F.

Yelp
When I left NY and moved to Boston, I wrote the management at Pret a letter, and begged them to open something in Boston. I even offered to help. They did indeed write back, saying they appreciated my support of Pret, but they are still a small company and working on expansion is very slow. Sigh. But when I visit (which is often) I run right in here, grab one of their sandwiches, Kettle Brand Chips and a Coca-Cola, (for about $10) and I am once again reunited with my delicious, all-natural, fresh lunchtime friend. Please, please come to Boston soon!

Irene F.

Yelp
You are across the street from our downtown office. Au Bon Pain has roaches. Visible ones. I go to you, Pret, because Yip's is a bad idea, because one cannot live on juice (at least I cannot) and because I don't know what else is around and because I am hungry. You now have sushi. Awesome. Your spicy tuna has fish scales in it. Not so awesome. You have miso soup. Awesome. There is nothing wrong with it. Also awesome. Lunch tomorrow: Miso soup and a cucumber sandwich. The Brits can't fuck up their own specialty, right? Not the miso soup, dipshit...

Chad M.

Yelp
RECESSION HITS PRET! I usually only go to Pret for their chicken Caesar salad. It is the best thing they serve in my opinion...the rest is a small step above standard NYC deli fare, but 2-3x the price. So how did the recession hit Pret you ask? Well, I've gotten this salad a large number of times in the last few years. So I become accustomed to how they make it. Or used to make it, I should say. Today was my first time back in a number of months, and I'll preface this by saying that all of the premade salads were the same, so I didn't pick a fluke. There are a grand total of 3 slices of Parmesan cheese on my salad. That's it. This is about 1/3 the normal amount. As for the chicken, I'd say they experienced a cutback...down to 2/3 of the usual amount. And the croutons didn't escape the unannounced layoffs. I'd say about 1/2 the usual amount. Somewhere in the world, there's a chicken breast, a chunk of cheese, and a loaf of stale bread huddled together, just waiting for the call to come back into service. I'll think twice about going back to Pret (and paying $8 for a salad) in the near future until that call is made. Water Refill Meter: N/A They don't do that here...come on it's uber hip and cool, so bottled spring water only...sheesh.

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
Today was National Coffee Day. (reference: http://tv.ibtimes.com/national-coffee-day-2011-fun-coffee-facts-and-places-to-grab-a-free-cup/2057.html). Many renown coffee shops were to give out a free cup of coffee. I was told by my colleague that this Pret location was participating; he got his free coffee. When I walked over, fighting Wall St. protestors in the late afternoon for my pick me up coffee, I was denied a free cup. In fact, the lady behind the counter gave me attitude that I needed a special "ID" and be a part of a "certain company" to get free coffee a few days a week. No, bitch, it was National Free Coffee Day. I told her; I explained to her that my colleague got free coffee. She did not want to give me a freaking free cup of .75 cents coffee. On another note, Pret in general is too damn expensive...for packaged food! But I am mostly sore about being told this place gave out free coffee on National Coffee Day (which they did) but would not for me.

Amy C.

Yelp
*Overpriced sandwiches at ~$10 each. *Good for if you're on a diet. *a sandwich equals two slices of bread with minimal meat in between. *I can make that myself for under $1.

Maly L.

Yelp
This place has the best selection of soups, sandwiches, salads - and I'm not even that kind of gal! I swore I'd never review a chain establishment but I was immediately won over. Every time I walk into this place, I can't resist being tempted by every salad or sandwich. In fact, my coworker and I usually put our stimulating conversations on hold until we focus and pick out our lunch of the day. Today, I enjoyed an avocado chicken sandwich, and miso soup with natural sparkling orange soda. Everything was just the right portions too. Plus, they have a cozy modern sitting area where my coworker and I can resume our stimulating conversations. (You'd be amused to eavesdrop too!)

Kat B.

Yelp
My favorite Pret to go to in the city. Every Pret has polite and friendly customer service, but the staff here make me feel special and like I'm a friend. It's worth the extra walk to see my girls!

Justina W.

Yelp
The three ladies up front MADE MY WEEK. I'm in the midst of a hell work week and a move and my husband and cat are thousands of miles away. I can't cook! How do I survive???? Well, on restaurants. So realizing I hadn't eaten in about 18 hours, I ran in and got some grub. The jokes and sweetness and customer service went so far above and beyond I wanted to throw lavish gifts on everyone in the room. And then when I tried to give my cashier all my cash as a tip, she said to put it in the charity box because it was no big deal. My cashier and her colleagues have no idea how much their good humor and fun really turned me around. Thank you, ladies. You're going to be one of my parting NY memories. :)

Amy S.

Yelp
Best organic coffee and cappuccino by Wall Street. Pret is one of the few places downtown that doesn't charge an extra $.50 for soy milk like I asked to be lactose intolerant and a coffee addict!! I only wish they still had the coffee punch cards to support my habit. The sandwiches do not come cheap but support local farms near NYC and in Brooklyn. My fav is the poached salmon. Makes me feel like I am living in London again.

Maurice M.

Yelp
I work in the area so this Pret location is very convenient. I always love their coffee, food, and deserts. But this is honestly the worst customer service I've seen in any establishment in a very long time. I wouldn't even expect this type of service from a Popeyes in the Bronx. Disgusting!!!

Kelly A.

Yelp
Right across the street from Cosi, this is a much better option. The sandwiches and salads are pre-made, but made with healthy, fresh and interestingly combined ingredients. My favorite thing there is a Grilled Chicken salad with oranges, cranberries and crumbled blue cheese. Yum! I think I'm going to have lunch there today! I also prefer Pret A Manger to Starbucks for a coffee break. The employees are much friendlier, the place is less crowded and the milk is organic. They have some delicious looking brownies, but I haven't tried them yet.

Giselle R.

Yelp
Moroccon Lentil Soup. Friggin awesome.Yikes on the price though. Was going to do a half sandwich or salad and small soup but I went at 2:30 and the pickins were uber slim. The soup is a staple as well it should be. It cost almost $7 for a large,I was hungry ok?!,but I really loved the flavor. Very clean. Friendly staff. Lots of seating. Going to go earlier and try their wraps, they sounded yum, and see if they are consistent, but I liked what I saw so far.

Lisa Z.

Yelp
Great quality, not too expensive for NYC. Quick service. The soups were hot n yummy (esp the Lentil soup) and the grainy bread that comes with soup is excellent. PS- clean bathrooms too!

Lena F.

Yelp
If you are into quick lunch and organic food, this is a place to go. You can sit down or grab something on the go, but one thing you will be sure of is that the food is good and fresh. All of the food served - sandwiches, soups, salads or even desert is made out fresh and organic. I am not a health freak, but I like this place, with its stylish decor and fast lines. On top of it the selection of food is pretty good. I stop by this place when not out with clients for lunch on a regular basis.

Brian M.

Yelp
Last year, I had lunch at Pret about 3x a week. The service was excellent and genuinely friendly. Not sure what's happened in the past couple of months, but the vibe has changed. The employees are constantly chit-chatting and shelves are left bare. (A whole lot of "condensing" going on and a lot less replenishing.) I still love the Chicken Avacado Salad and nearly all of their soups are fantastic - but whenever an employee needs to be involved, I'm disappointed. They automatically assume you don't want a receipt, no more smiles, utensils holders have been empty more than once, and they don't bother filling your cup of specialty coffee to the top - weird. All is not lost - the food is still fresh and this particular location is kept relatively clean - but the staff needs to get on board again.

Yelp
I have been a fan of Pret as a fast and easy lunch spot for years but I've noticed lately that the quality and consistency has changed for the worse. Today I grabbed a chicken and avocado sandwich- the bread was so thin and gummy and overflowing with mesculun lettuce. While they were generous with the avocado I didn't find the 3 bits of chicken until I got to the bottom of the sandwich. Another time I grabbed the Greek salad wrap and also found the sandwich to be heavy on wrap and lettuce andvery light on chicken and feta. Il In a city full of fast, healthy and delicious options , Pret has lost the generosity and consistency to keep me coming back. I do appreciate the morning muffins though!

Yelp
My favorite place for lunch. Healthy, fresh, and diverse options for lunch from their vegetarian wraps to their morrocan lentil soup. Today I tried their Asian veggie wrap, which comes wrapped in seaweed paper and filled with avocado, quinoa, peppers, tomatoes and delicious veggies. It was amazing! Their values as a company is also something I respect and wish other restaurants would follow too, especially in regards to feeding the hungry.

Yelp
Place is OK. They are always packed and you will most often find it hard to get a table. Its a typical Pret. Decent food, good service and a good spot to grab a quick bite.

Yelp
Pret is by far the best cafe/lunch place around! Their organic coffee is wonderful, not too strong or bitter. If you're a coffee lover like me, you will definitely love their coffee. Their cappuccino's are delicious too and they are cheaper than starbuck and au bon pain. I love their food selection as well. Everything looks fresh and ready made. They have have a great selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and sushi too! If you want breakfast food, their croissants and pain au chocolat is amazing. Great variety, really good customer service, and cute decor. It's a really nice cafe you can go to get a small bite to eat, or to have a light lunch.

Yelp
This place is a typical location of the worst chain in New York. How people can plunk money down for overpriced sandwiches (all varieties miraculously taste like the same variety of crap.) that they can make at home in under 5 minutes is beyond me. Much better sandwiches are available at Cosi across the street, or a block away on broadway. You are better off flushing your hard earned cash down the toilet. Really. Bottom Line: Don't waste your cash.

Yelp
Normally great sandwiches and crusty baguettes, but under no circumstances go for the new toasted sandwiches. They are an utter disaster. Soggy pre-burnt bread, and molten interiors make these the worst sandwiches Pret has ever decided to make. The Slow Roasted Beef, Arugula & Parmesan baguette however, is an absolute stunner of a lunchtime treat. Dip in one of their little caesar dressing pots. Yummo.....
