⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Living in South Florida, I’ve learned to be skeptical of waterfront restaurants. Usually, you’re paying for the scenery while eating mediocre, overpriced seafood. I’m happy to say Prime Catch in Boynton is the exception to that rule. It balances that relaxed, vacation-mode atmosphere with food that is actually taken seriously.
We sat outside on the deck, which I highly recommend. Watching the boats pass under the Woolbright Bridge while the sun sets is unbeatable. It’s lively and energetic, but you can still have a conversation without shouting.
As for the food, do not skip the Eggplant Fries. I know, it sounds like a throwaway appetizer, but they are stacked high, drizzled with honey and pecorino, and honestly addictive. For the main course, I went with their signature Sweet Potato Crusted Grouper. It’s a bold dish, sweet and savory but the fish was fresh and flaky, and it didn't feel heavy. It’s "Florida comfort food" done right.
The real highlight of the evening, however, was the service. Favian took care of us, and he was fantastic. In a busy spot like this, it’s easy to feel like just another table to be turned, but Favian made us feel genuinely welcome. He knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and paced the meal perfectly so we never felt rushed. He kept the water glasses full and the mood light.
If you’re looking for a spot that impresses out-of-town guests but still feels like a local favorite, this is it. It’s rare to find a place with this kind of volume that maintains this level of quality. We will definitely be asking for Favian next time we go back.
