Prime Pizza

One of my top 2 best pizza spots in LA!! Must try! I had been hearing about Prime Pizza for a while, one night me and my man were nearby and decided to give it a try and it was AMAZING experience.. that was a very special night and this pizza also did not disappoint! I got a few slices and we had it in the car it was so good I went back in and got more! The staff make sure you get the pizza hot and fresh outta oven, after I chose what I wanted they put the slice back in oven and give it to you crispy fresh and hot! The inside and decorations were pretty cool too. Overall a great experience

A solid slice of pizza, though I’m not sure if it lives up to all the social media hype. The pepperoni slice was good, albeit a bit average. The bottom had a nice crisp to it and it wasn’t greasy. I’m curious to try the spicy pepperoni slice and compare them. The Sicilian slice could’ve used a little more flavor in my opinion, but the overall flavor was good. I enjoyed the bread-y crust and the edge had a little crunch. I wish it came out a bit hotter too, as we dined in. Prices are very reasonable and I found the staff to be fine. No issues with our order and it came out in ~7 mins despite them being quite busy on a Friday night.

The place is incredible the pizza is delicious have alot of flavor tastes delicious and it was the first time visiting.. the employee and helpful 👌🏼 place clean

I usually order full pizzas from here, and they are always extremely consistent. My favorite is the Meat Lovers Square Pie and I get it double cut for easier sharing. I highly recommend the white pizza as well! Overall, everything I have ever gotten from here has hit the spot, circle pies, square pies, you name it I have even gotten the gluten free pies a few times just to try and they were surprisingly good as well, not as good as a normal slice, but very respectable taste + texture Also, it's been a long time since I've bought by the slice here, but I recall it not being as good as having a fresh, full pie, so don't let it deter you, and I would highly recommend ordering a full pie some time. A good example was the white slices were not great, but when I ordered the full white pizza, I thought all aspects of it were on point (sauce + dough + cheese) Any leftover slices re-heat very well in an air fryer as well

Stop by and grab a slide late at night - even a vegan option! They even tipped me off that one of the available pies was French not of the oven. Definitely a no-frills place (no bathroom). Easy to park and pop in. Some signage was difficult to read for someone on the shorter side. Service was somewhat slow considering there were multiple people working. Will go back!

Pretty solid pizza, especially for the price. I got a slice of the Sicilian and one of the spicy pepperoni and I really enjoyed both for the flavor freshness quality ingredients and kind staff. You can’t really beat it for that price. I’ll definitely be back again.

Alright. Listen. I will never be able to write a review that is as good as what Prime Pizza deserves. Let me just put it this way, I have been to New York and Italy and Chicago for that matter and tried 101 Pizza Establishments in San Francisco. Prime Pizza has consistently been in contendership for the Best Los Angeles Pizza as far as I am concerned since at least 2016 and after all my scrutiny and intensity and fury as a Man of Pizza... Prime Pizza is the best New York Style Pizza Establishment in Los Angeles that started in Los Angeles. If you were to ask me on Death Row what my choice would be of PIzza as last meal and it had to be somewhere in Los Angeles... it would be from Prime. And that's all I have to say about that.

Dave Portnoy recommended, I personally feel like they are just pumping out pizzas so quality has gone down. Mine basically had a ghost like under carriage. My child doesn't even want her second slice so that says a lot. Fire Pit or Vito's pizza in this area are better.

Best pizza in LA?? @primepizzala might take the spot! This highly underrated pizza chain in Los Angeles specializes in NY and Sicilian style pizzas, with both round and square pie options. Personally, I thought their Sicilian-style square pies were some of the BEST I've had in Los Angeles, and I would highly recommend ordering that! Also on their menu- yummy garlic knots, chicken wings, Italian meatballs, salads and pasta, which are the perfect pairing to any pizza party. Service was pretty fast, and I appreciated how every pizza was crafted fresh to order, but I'd probably suggest takeout since the actual store doesn't have very much seating for customers. I've had Prime as delivered for a few work events and never thought anything special of it. However, I was proven completely wrong when I came in for a fresh pie with a few friends. We stopped by one afternoon around lunchtime mid-week and ordered the Sicilian pie. It took 15-20 minutes to make, so we walked around the block while we waited. The pizza was heavenly when we sat down to eat (there are some small tables outside for customers to enjoy and a small bench top in the restaurant). The crust was perfectly crispy and chewy, the proportions of sauce to cheese to pesto drip was divine, and the extra lil Parmesan packets combined made this pie absolutely divine. I'm a bit of a pizza snob as I'm from Long Island and tend to compare all the pizza I've eaten to what I can get back home. Prime Pizza when it's fresh tastes just a bit like home. For that alone, I'm sure I'll be back for some more fresh slices!

Great crust and a tasty sauce. A little pricey but everything seems to have gone up. Highly recommend. Their app works well and the pizza shows up hot.

I have been to the Prime Pizza in Little Tokyo, downtown LA and enjoyed it; so I was happy to see this one in WLA on busy Santa Monica Blvd. Service was fast and professional. The pizza and meatballs were great and now on my LA top ten list. The only negatives are small dining area with only a few seats and no toilet. Recommended especially for takeout.

One of the best pizza slices in Los Angeles. New York style and really flavorful. I get extra garlic on mine and crushed red peppers and it's magical.

The online ordering process was easy and straightforward, I enjoyed that the combos were also included on the menu online and that is what we ordered. We chose the "small" combo , which consisted of 3 small cheese pizzas, choice of two salads and a 12 pc garlic knot order. I subbed two of the cheese pizzas with more premium options, and added a topping to one and added some extra sauces. Total was about $100 and let me tell you, the pizza was no where near being small and it was more than enough food to feed 6 people. Pick up was quick and easy, parking however, was quite limited but there is a lower level lot available.

Treated to Prime Pizza for lunch at work. I don't understand the high ratings. The crust is too chewy, almost leathery. Noticed another reviewer described the crust like plastic. It looks good but is unpleasant and definitely not worth the carbs. Among the cheese, pepperoni, meat lover and mixed veggie pies, the veggies were shriveled from over baking. Sorry but the bell peppers looked like worms. I did like the mild spicy sausage on my Supreme (meat and vegetables) slice. The slice is thin, too the way a good pizza should be. The sauce was ok. Prime Pizza is more conveniently located to me than my favorite, La Monica's in Westwood. Since a slice is a lot cheaper than La Monica's I might try a fresh slice and see if it changes my first impression.

Prime Pizza is still one of the best pizza spots in LA!! This was my first time at this location :) I've gone to the Burbank one a few times and am obviously obsessed. Pizza quality is just as great, but it seemed like this spot makes the pizza faster. Wait time was not bad at all. I ordered online, easy peasy. I usually get the same pizza every time- the Arrabbiata! It has spicy arrabbiata tomato sauce, mozzarella, fontina, red onion & parsley. I take out the red onion and add on red peppers tho. Just preference. It's soooo good! The pizza is thin, crispy perfection. But honey- let me tell you about the star of the show... the RANCH! I am a ranch with every bite of pizza kind of girl and the Prime Pizza ranch is the BEST!! They sell them on the side or by the bottle. Get yourself a bottle! I've been putting it on everything at home and life is good. This location has indoor and outdoor seating, paper plates and seasonings out to grab, and a really cool staff. We sat outside for lunch and it was nice! The view is a parking lot but when you're eating pizza this good ain't none of that matters. The prices are a bit on the pricier side but it's such a delicious meal and I see it as a treat ya know? Just a note, I would recommend bringing your own beverage. There is a parking lot but all the spots on top are 10 minutes max. We still parked right in front and just watched the car and no one came by. We were there for maybe 20 minutes. I thiiiink there are underground spots tho if you don't want to take the risk ;) Love you Prime Pizza!! Can't wait for next time

This spot was on my bookmark and found the opportunity to go there with my girlfriend. I thought it was going to be bigger, but there was space for us to sit there and give the pizza a shot. We went for the pepperoni and mushroom pizza and in 25 minutes, we were in for a treat. Eight NYC style slices and was I happily surprised when I saw they had oregano available to sprinkle all over. Taking my first bite took me back east so fast and it was incredible. I enjoyed three of them before I called it so I could enjoy the rest of the night out. They are very popular for carryout, as many cars rolled up and took off with pizza as we visited. I hope one day a place like this can pop up in my neighborhood so I can travel through hyperspace everytime I eat this pizza.

Why is it that every time I do a pickup order here for a slice of pizza it's never ready?? I ended up having to wait in line and wait an extra 10 minutes for one slice of pizza to be heated up. Pickup should mean it's ready when you get there, you shouldn't start preparing it after the customer is already there.

Went here for lunch today and it was blah. Spent $30 on Order of garlic knots (6) Order of lemon pepper wings(6) and Order of meat balls (3) that also came with 2 garlic knots that wasn't specified on the ordering menu had I known I wouldn't have order a separate order of garlic knots. The garlic knots were stale like they were baked and reheated to order. The meatballs were okay the sauce was good the flavor of the meatballs without the sauce would just be bland meat lacks seasoning. The wings lacked flavor as well just fried wings with sprinkled seasonings but didn't taste like lemon pepper seasoning. I was highly disappointed for $30. Glad I didn't bother to try the pizza. I had pizza the night before from Chicos Pizza in Lynwood.

New items I tried: Pro: lemon pepper wings and ranch Grow: garlic knots and thin crust pizza. Tip: order the deep dish. Updated review! I got to try the thin crust pizza and have to say the deep dish is definitely my favorite. The thin crust pizza is thin and nyc style. Although it was also delicious, I was not mind blown as I was with the deep dish that was a 5/5. I also tried the garlic knots and winds this time around. The garlic knots were a bit dry and I wouldn't order them again. The chicken wings on the other hand were perfectly crisp and I loved the homemade ranch. Keep in mind that i am usually not a fan of ranch. Overall, this is still a solid pizza spot and my go to but I will stick to the deep dish.

Prime pizza .. let's talk about it ! This location is super small abut they do have limited paces to sit. They are super busy and it looks like this location is mostly for to go or mobile pick ups. I got a slice of the Sicilian and it was insanely delicious! We also got a large pie of the supreme which was good but kinda regret not getting the Sicilian in a larger size lol. The staff were super friendly and welcoming . I would have to say the pizza here is a little pricey. Overall thoughts.. Good pizza, a little pricey but still tasty

I'm glad I gave it a try but it wasn't for me. I don't feel comfortable eating pizza when the undercarriage looks like this. It was burnt. I was very surprised because I had even tried avoid this by asking for it to be lightly toasted. The people working there are nice though and my order was ready quickly. The flavor combinations were pretty good-- I ate the toppings off the pizza. The seating is also kind of crowded and there is cars right outside who leave their exhaust on. But if you're in a pinch, it wouldn't hurt to have a slice from here.

I tried their Spicy Pepperoni Sicilian Pizza, Cheese Pizza, Arrabbiata Pizza, and their Pepperoni Pizza. My favorite by far was the Spicy Pepperoni Sicilian pizza (5 stars for this pizza). The crust is thicker and has a nice crunch on the outside, and the spicy pepperoni had a great kick. This pizza is not something you can find everywhere and is a unique and delicious pizza. As for the other round pizzas I ordered, the crust is thinner and has good texture where it's crispy but also softer inside. I would have liked more basil on all the round pizzas, and more onions for the Arriabbata Pizza. So the toppings seemed a bit lacking and didn't feel like there was unique flavor. The pizzas are pretty big and cost around $26-28. Overall, I would definitely order the Spicy Pepperoni Sicilian Pizza again even for $28, but I don't think the round pizzas are worth the price.

I'm struggling with my star rating on this review. I stopped by on a Sunday at 4pm craving pizza, but made the grave error of opting for slices. I didn't want or need a whole pie, but we all know fresh pies are better than stale slices. You would think they would be gearing up for Sunday dinner service or at least the hungover crowd that finally gained the courage to eat, but apparently not. There were no cheese slices, no vodka slices, some dry looking pepperoni and half pies of grandma and sicilian. I opted to wait for the fresh cheese and vodka that would be out in about 10 min. I ordered one slice each of: vodka, cheese, grandma and pepperoni. The vodka and cheese were on a thin crispy crust, which I enjoyed. The grandma is a thicker crust. The pepperoni was still dry and missing pepperoni on half the slice. Bonus: fresh whole pies are good Bogus: slices are dry and sad at $5/per slice Final Verdict: the vodka slice was my favorite. Whole pies only; skip the slices.

Unfortunate that they actually thought this pizza was acceptable to send out the door. Entire pizza was burnt, top and bottom . Inedible.

Fantastic pizza! One of my favorite pizza places for NY slices. The ingredients are on point, & the crust is crisp yet tender enough. The customer service is great! I ordered my slices for takeout & took a call outside. The nice male employee who took my order brought it out to me. I love that this is in short proximity to my job. I'll be back soon. :)

I'm always skeptical about 'NY style' anything in LA. Bagels, bacon egg and cheesies, there's always something a little off about it. I'm not one of those guys who says it's the water but there's definitely something...missing about it. So, when I saw Prime Pizza do well on the one-bite pizza challenge I was still a little skeptical. I have to say their regular lineup of slices is good-the plain cheese pizza slice? It does remind me of going to a slice shop back in NY. They'll even give it to you at display temp. What isn't NY style but I like is the spicy pepperoni, for that I don't get a slice. I get a whole pizza and slowly eat my way through it. The location here is a little different from the other locations I went to. Fairfax, Little Tokyo are storefront locations but the one here is in a strip mall-good thing about that is there's plenty of parking. They also have a Spicy Chicken slice that's exclusive to this location as well.

Shout out to the Saturday night team on 11/23/24 for remaking my pizza after the delivery from 3rd party went wrong. I called in and let them know that the wrong food was delivered and they were nice enough to remake the pizza for me. The staff here is super friendly and the pizza is fire. I am very grateful to the Prime Team! Happy holidays!!!

Easily the best pizza in town, and very reasonably priced. Excellent service every time I've come in. One thing that I truly appreciated is that they have fresh red pepper in their pepper shakers- That's important to me, and obviously to them as well. They have a non-anoying rewards program which I definitely recommend. The pizza crust is light and golden, and their ingredients are very fresh. Every slice is put together well. Further, the red head dude taking my order asked if I wanted a corner piece, I definitely want a corner piece. Nobody has ever asked if I'd like a corner piece. Also, great IPA selection. Keep up the great work!

I had to update my review because I've been back a couple of times for their Grandma Pie, which is one of my fave pizzas around. Love the thick slices and that Grandma sauce! I only wish that my family members would be down with getting the pepperoni or meat lovers. I always pick up my pizzas because they're pretty close and have a parking lot. They did just expand their delivery zone to 5 miles, so if you hadn't had delivery before because of their limited radius, it just got bigger!

First time trying it! Had it delivered in Santa Monica. Love the meat lovers square pieces. They are a great size and hearty! Thick crust, reminds me of Chicago style deep dish only because it's so thick but so good! You can pick how you want your crust, toppings etc. If you don't want square and want regular round size, they have that too! Can't wait to try the other flavors they have, Came nice and hot, very tasty!

Really solid new york style pizza, plain cheese slice was great, garlic knots were just ikay, square slice was solid.

Visited Prime a few months ago as a halfway point to meet up with one of my friends and what a fantastic hidden gem! We had a few regular cheese slices, an order of garlic knots, and at least three squares of the spicy pepperoni Grandma pie. Everything was absolutely delicious, the spicy pepperoni had a great kick to it and the garlic knots were able to be reheated and still maintain a decent flavor. Definitely worth the hype!

I think we've found a new favorite! We got the meat lovers, minus onions. Our pizza was packed with toppings, the crust was cooked to perfection, it was delicious.

This has been my go-to takeout for a while now: consistent quality, speedy delivery/pickup, always enough to feed the whole family. The storefront is small but has a good energy later in the evening to grab a slice or three after a few beers. The round pie is a safe bet for a solid NY-style slice, but the square pies are where my heart lies. My personal faves are the Arrabbiata and the Sicilian -- creative twists on classic styles. On my last delivery, a few items were missing, so I gave them a call and they were super-prompt in getting a new driver to redeliver. Zero fuss and problem solved within 20 minutes (shout out to Evan!) Great work, team! Thanks for saving me on countless lazy days.

I was excited to try this place because of all the good reviews on Yelp and Reddit. The pizza itself LOOKS awesome (look at the photo). I like how the dough has a sorta sour-dough taste to it. The pepperoni's were pretty standard. I am giving it 3 stars or an "ok" review because it's just too greasy for me. It made me feel really bloaty and regretful after eating it. The satisfaction that I got while eating it also wasn't worth it. It tasted like dough, cheese, and pepperoni. Nothing was that special. Pizza has some much potential but it just didn't land for me this time.

He actually did go to Prime Pizza and for the most part he's right about the flavor and looks. We just found some execution issues. My friend and I ordered the sausage & pepperoni for dinner tonight. It was a big pizza and a very thin crust. Pretty oily but with good pepperoni it's to be expected. Undercarriage was not as strong for us as it was for Prez. Was a bit too floppy to the point of our ingredients and cheese sliding off the slice. Pres says it's a 8.1, best he's had in LA. I would go more like a 7.1 based on what I had tonight. So with that, I liked the flavor a lot but there were just some quality control issues, you could say.

Love this pizza! Is it better than nyc? No but it gets pretty close! My favorite slice is the grandma slice actually! The sauce plus the crust are the perfect blend of pizza umami. I love the sausage kale pizza. It's tasty and the kale is sightly crispy from cooking so it goes well with the cheese and crust! The pepperoni is also delicious but pretty salty because of the juice and grease of the meat but it's nice and crispy. Be sure to sign up for their membership since they give you a free slice for your birthday!

Ordered the Sicilian square pizza this time...it was INCREDIBLE! Crust was crisp on the outside, almost fluffy like focaccia on the inside. And perfectly baked! Not overdone this time at all.

I go to prime frequently usually the one on pico how ever I thought I'd try this location and I will say I will probably not be coming back to this location waited way to long for my pizza. People who came in after I order got their slices before I got my slices which can be argued but my order was sitting in front of me on the counter for 5 minutes. Kinda absurd I'm gonna stick to pico location. Also my food was cold

Prime Pizza has the best pizza I've ever had however, I'm not giving 5 stars for one very big reason. Reason: They do not have an ice maker therefore, cannot deliver cold drinks with your pizza. We ordered a large pepperoni, sodas and since I didn't have ice at home for the sodas, we were SOL. When I ordered over the phone I was told they have never had ice as an option with their orders (found that VERY odd) but I ordered anyway. I wasn't disappointed by the pizza, as I said, it's literally the BEST I've ever had but... drinking warm sodas with awesome pizza still didn't put me in a good mood. They could at least REFRIGERATE the damn sodas. Would you believe they deliver sodas AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. Believe it. It's true. Annoying. Other than that, if you have ice at your house and don't need any for your soda, GREAT! You'll be the happiest camper ever because the pizza is the bomb. Beware though, if you decide to do what I did... warm soda much like warm ice cream, sucks. Solid 3 stars for the most derrishiss pie.

The best pizza in Santa Monica. Not sure why Yelp says Sawtelle area. This is located on Santa Monica Blvd more towards Bundy drive. Not much room to dine inside. A few tables for two outside are available. Pizza is by the slice or box. Grandmas Pizza was a treat. Basically pizza on sourdough bread. I really like how the add fresh basil to the pizza here. The sauce is delicious. The crust is phenomenal. A little higher price than other places, but well worth the couple bucks extra.

Home Run Again! The Meatball pie was excellent. Being a NYC transplant I'm very picky when it comes to Pizza. Well Ladies and Gentleman I can actually say this is very close to NYC pizza! The crust is nice and crispy and not too thick. Definitely one of my favorite pies in LA!

Best pizza on the Westside! We ordered a regular pie and a grandma....both were outstanding!!!

I first tried Prime before Covid, over on Fairfax and found it to be fairly good, although I've heard people rave about the place, especially the spicy pepperoni. Actually right before shutdown, somebody ordered a whole spicy pepperoni pizza and had it sent to work randomly, so I was able to try this for myself. It was pretty tasty, but I was also really hungry. Found out a Prime opened up on the westside, so I decided to make my way over on a Sunday. Place was empty, and it didn't take too long at all to get my food. Today, I went with a grandma slice and a plain slice. This was just okay. I don't know what I remembered from before, but this wasn't it. Perhaps I went on an off day? I also forgot to add my points for their rewards program but that was me being lazy, no fault of their own. Guy working the front was fine. Have to admit my first brush with them over on Fairfax was a decent one, however they fell short this past visit here at this location. However, I would be willing to try them again if someone else wanted to come here.

Service was cool and all the employees were very nice and efficient with ensuring I got my pizza. The pizza itself was good but not worth the price. The rating is partially my fault as well because I let the pizza get cold due to LA traffic, however this style of pizza is over with if you let it get cold. With that being said make sure you eat it hot because I'm sure it will be way better.

Pizza was amazing. The crust is crunchy and just so right. Service was excellent and served pretty quick.

I believe today was the grand opening of this new location. Prime Pizza has some pretty outstanding slices. I thoroughly enjoyed the grandma slice. I highly recommend this place. It's actually a quarter strip shopping center one block west of BUNDY on Santa Monica Boulevard.

Having finally tried Prime Pizza very recently, it was very exciting news to hear that they were opening up a new location in West L.A. I expect nothing but quality from Prime, and that's exactly what this location delivers. Just grabbed a few slices and was more than happy with the pie. They know how to get that right blend of crust and toppings for a proper New York pizza. Even hooked it up with an extra free slice of pizza! Very happy they are here and looking forward to the opportunity to do some al fresco dining once it opens up!

Decent pizza if your near and hungry, though I wouldn't go out of my way for this, also maybe pies are different but the Sicilian had potential the rest were based on price a waste

One bite everyone knows the rules. Undercarriage was good. No flop. Thin with bubbles, sauce and cheese mixed on top, with strips of basil. All good signs. Looks like a great NY pie. I bite in. Didn't burn my face off. Perfect crisp. Sauce is good. Perfect amount of cheese. Dough is light. I feel like I can take down the entire pie on my own. Unfortunately, I have my wife with me and she's 8 months preggo but that's neither here nor there. Also added a side of ranch and marinara. The ranch was some of the best I've ever had and I'm a connoisseur. Marinara was good as well. Pride was taken in this pie. One overall sexy pie. I'd come back here and travel to devour it. Great football pie. I give it a 7.9 that's the review.
