Not Even the Impacts of Climate Change Can Make Americans Stop Eating Meat | Eater

"A direct-to-consumer food startup offering entirely meatless, protein-rich meals made from koji fungi cultivated in the San Francisco Bay Area; the founder identifies as a flexitarian rather than vegan and says most customers are flexitarians, reflecting an approach focused on reducing meat consumption rather than eliminating it. The company launched from an academic food-tech incubator and emphasizes realistic, satisfying plant-based meals for people who still eat some animal products." - Nadra Nittle

Keanu Reeves Enjoyed an Alameda Ice Cream Cone | Eater SF

"I learned that Prime Roots, which began at UC Berkeley’s Alternative Meat Lab in 2017 (formerly known as Terramino Foods), is opening a 12,000-square-foot facility in West Berkeley; backed by venture capital from True Ventures and Collaborative Fund, the company says it makes its faux meat using koji, a fungus that “naturally grow(s) in a fibrous texture that feels like meat when you chew it,” according to co-founder Joshua Nixon." - Eve Batey

I stopped eating meat 10 years ago. But then Prime Roots came along, and so NOW I can have deli sandwiches without involving the slaughter of animals. Meat has never tasted as good as Prime Roots. It really does taste great!

Wow! I just had the Prime Roots Salami sandwich from Turner Kitchen in SF and I’m blown away! I LOVE it! I love salami but I never buy it because it’s full of nitrates (plus I prefer not to eat pigs). I love that this is made from mushrooms and is such a healthy alternative.

After seeing "You Are What You Eat..." on Netflix where Prime Roots founder was spotlighted, I tried the Classic Smoked Koji Ham. It's available at Oliver's in Santa Rosa. I was very impressed. Tastes great with mustard. Highly recommend.

Spent over 100.00 to try this product. It smelled like chemicals and tasted horrible. I tried contacting the company and they offered a 50.00 credit off my next order. That's horrible customer service. Ended up contacting attorney General and credit card for some resolution. BUYER BEWARE!

Lo más importante es respetar la vida de los animales, Gracias por hacer comida de origen vegetal , sigan haciéndola y no le hagan caso a los comentarios negativos, seguramente son carnívoros
