Best Restaurants For Group Dining in Jacksonville, Florida | Eater Miami

"Prohibition Kitchen is an entertaining gastropub in the middle of St. Augustine. The menu is filled with stackable options that lean into Southern culture. Here, pork rinds are paired with sour cream and onion dip, shrimp cocktail is paired with a house-made cocktail sauce, and clams are sautéed with gator sausage. With live music every night, groups often stop in for snacks and a few drinks while enjoying the entertainment before strolling through the quaint downtown streets of America’s oldest city."

3 Best Day Trips from Orlando, Florida | Condé Nast Traveler

"The original 1922 pressed tin ceilings and Edison bulbs make a dimly lit speakeasy scene out of this historic two-story building. The bar and restaurant is right along busy St. George Street in St. Augustine's historic downtown, and ducking in off the street on a hot Florida day feels like entering a cavern of cool. To pad your stomach for a night of partying, order the very shareable poutine (yes we know we're in Florida not Montreal ), with brown Guinness gravy giving it extra decadence (as if it needed it). Southern food is the specialty though, with most of the dishes perfect for sharing—things like deviled eggs, pork rinds, and charcuterie boards. For those with more of an appetite, you can't go wrong with one of the huge burgers, the braised short rib, or the Tomahawk pork chop with smoked turkey collard greens." - Terry Ward, Laura Ratliff

Google
Another phantom review where I left one two years ago and its no where to be found. So...this is my second time here and I loved it both times. The service is great, we sat at the bar and were immediately addressed by Grace. She made our drinks super fast and our orders. This trip we were not that hungry so we just ordered there famous deviled eggs, this days special was a fried chicken and vegetable egg. Amazing. I have had their burger and wings and their are really made well and fresh. I love the atmosphere, note this place is packed, all day every day and they don't take reservations. If you want to go I suggest off hours, we went at 230pm and got seated immediately. By the time we left around 330 there was a very long waiting list. Parking? Well its St. Augustine, so good luck.

Google
Fun tourist spot! Get there early to put in reservations. We got there right before 4pm and seated about 5:30pm. We were able to go exploring while waiting for our table. The food was delicious! The braised short rib was perfect and flaked as you ate it. The beer was good and cold. Live band wasn't bad. The staff was nice and never felt like you were in a rush.

Google
Prohibition Kitchen turned out to be a great surprise. The PK burger was really good, cooked just right with solid flavor, and the wings were very good with a nice balance of seasoning and crispiness. The giant pretzel was also a standout, warm, soft, and perfect for sharing. I’m not really a bar person, but we went as a group and the overall experience was enjoyable for everyone. We even had a 4-year-old and a 12-year-old with us, and it worked just fine. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, making it a comfortable spot for adults and kids alike. Definitely a good spot for groups with dependable food and a fun, relaxed vibe.

Google
Great spot to watch a game, have some great beer and food. If you're in St. Augustine here's a place I definitely recomend. The ambience is also very cool, very americana, even the restroom is properly themed. I tries the crispy wings, which were great, all 10 pieces of it. Then, like if the wings weren't enough (they were), I went for the Bootlegger Burger and I didn't regret it. The Burger was great also. Very cool place!

This was our first time visiting. We went on a Wednesday afternoon. The atmosphere is dark, a little steam punk/ industrial vintage. It was sunny outside but inside i really felt like I was in a 1920s speak easy at 3am. We had a trainee server and he did a great job. Food didn't come out too fast or slow. They cooked our burgers to perfection and we got a fantastic portion of the best fries I've eaten in Florida. Nice and crispy with the right amount of salt. The menu was a mix of burgers and fun oddities to the typical florida fare. Pork rinds, poutine, or Mac n cheese. I loved the variety of options. The menu is printed on the back of a faux newspaper adding to the theme. They do have live bands around 6pm on certain days and I can see this place absolutely vibing at night. 10/10 recommend if you are on St George Street.

Google
Prohibition Kitchen has a very nice ambience and is overall a great place to hang out. The atmosphere is lively and well-designed, making it a fun spot to enjoy a meal. The food was good, and the wings especially stood out — they were delicious. The only downside was that the burger patty had a noticeable smell, which took away from the experience a bit. Aside from that, the service was good and the staff were attentive. Overall, it’s a solid place to visit with great vibes and tasty wings!

Google
We really enjoyed it here. The server was great Casey thank you! She was so friendly explained the menu in full. She really helped to make our dinner a great one! The food was really good. We had the devil eggs which we liked. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and was really good! I will definitely be back!

Google
The least enjoyable experience I had in St. Augustine, personally. Tuesday lunch, 25 mins wait time for a table, no biggie, don't mind waiting, it's a popular spot after all. We get seated, our server was very nice but unfortunately it didn't make up for the atrocious food and slow service. We were a party of 4 and we all ordered different dishes + shared an appetizer. The poutine and the salad were probably the only edible things we had. The shrimp and grits for $32 were probably the most disappointing of all. The grits were so watery, not creamy at all and lacked flavor. The shrimp was cooked correctly (meaning it wasnt overcooked or chewy), but unfortunately it didn't make up for the horrible grits. They sprinkled some corn, pepper & i believe cilantro on top but again the grits were so horrible it didnt matter what else they put on top of them. At least the biscuits were good. My husband had a swiss mushroom burger that they brought like 20 mins **after** they brought his peanut whiskey milkshake. The milkshake is huge, and I will say that my husband did enjoy the taste. But the waiting time between ordering vs actually receiving the dish really ruins the experience. What I'm discovering, the more restaurants in St Augustine I explore, is big restaurants should probably be avoided. Even if some dishes are nice, they have so many tables but almost all of them are extremely understaffed, and Prohibition Kitchen was not the exception. This is reflected in the long waiting periods of time to catch the server to ask a question, and also probably in how long it takes to bring the food out after it's ordered since the kitchen is probably understaffed as well. I guess if you wanna come when it's not busy, I'd only really get a milkshake. I am already making plans to return to St Augustine but this is not a place I would like to come back to.

Yelp
We love the atmosphere here the food is reasonably priced it's a very old and unique place for appetizer like food.. service is always exceptional very friendly and attentive!!

Yelp
We went here on a double date during the Night of Lights. We had to wait an hour and a half for a table due to it being busy. I'm not sure if they have reservations available. I didn't see any on their website. Anyways they have a live band playing when you first walk in that gives it a nice vibe. The menu is a newspaper with news on one side and the food items on the other. My husband ordered the chili to start and I must say...that was the best chili I have ever had. We should have got a bowl instead of a cup lol. 100000/10 I had the BBQ Whiskey Burger & Green Beans which was amazing. Basically it's a BBQ burger with fried onion rings. My fav 10/10 They also serve boozy milkshakes I want to try next time.

Yelp
Prohibition Kitchen is a really cool restaurant in the heart of historic St. Augustine. I love the speak easy vibes; it feels like you're stepping into a different time period. The menu even looks like an old timey newspaper. We ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with the sirloin patty upgrade ($2) and their short rib grilled cheese. The burger patty had delicious flavor and was cooked to perfection. There wasn't a strong mushroom or Swiss cheese flavor, but it was a solid "regular" burger. I loved the short rib grilled cheese which was absolutely packed with meat. I really enjoyed adding their hot sauce for extra flavor. We also upgraded from fries to get a small side of beer cheese soup which had a pretty unique flavor.

Yelp
We ate here twice while visiting, but our experiences differed pretty wildly. After a long day in the car, we decided to venture downtown and find a place to get some grub and drinkies. We had no idea how busy this area gets during the holidays (woops). While we were waiting in line (around 6:30 on Saturday, Dec 14), the hostess announced that they were not taking any more walk up tables and were booked up on reservations for the evening. We tried our luck at the bar and ended up snagging seats pretty quickly. We hung here for a while & ordered dinner while being entertained by the bartenders and never ending line of orderers! We got the Mac & cheese with fried chicken and short rib grilled cheese. Both of which were excellent! They have a build your own old fashioned option and we both partook in that (post picture since I tried the Manhattan too). Every drink we ordered was expertly crafted, and tasted amazing. The second time we came, they were still busy but less so and we again sat at the bar. The bartender we had on Tuesday was a lot more green and not nearly as personable although they were less busy. We did the pretzel and beer cheese and a boozy milkshake, the milkshake was outstanding but the pretzel was very disappointing. The pretzel and cheese were coldish and left a lot to be desired. We were on a time crunch to make it somewhere else so we stuck to one drink and moved on. Seems like weekends are the better day to go.

Yelp
We were here for dinner, and happen to arrive before the crowd, so we were seated immediately. The place is very large, have live music also has table on 2nd floor. I ordered their Super Bowl salad with steak, husband ordered their chicken pot pie. The salad is pretty good, but the chicken pot pie is ridiculously, it's like a puffy pastry put on a chicken stew. We also had their fries which is over cooked. The only thing good is devil eggs. The speed is fast, we were in and out very fast!

Yelp
Our recent adventure to Saint Augustine was nothing short of spectacular! The cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and vibrant atmosphere of this charming city left us in awe. Among the many places we explored, the highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the Prohibition Kitchen. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the unique ambiance that pays homage to the speakeasy era. The decor was a delightful mix of vintage and modern, creating a warm and inviting vibe. The menu was filled with enticing options that made it hard to choose just one! What truly made our visit exceptional was our server, Lex. From the second we were seated, Lex was not only attentive but also knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations. It felt like we had our own personal guide through the culinary delights of the evening! Every dish we tried was a delectable masterpiece, bursting with flavor and creativity. The atmosphere was lively, filled with laughter and the clinking of glasses, making it the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. We can't wait to return to Saint Augustine and dine at Prohibition Kitchen again--especially to catch up with Lex and try more of their incredible dishes! If you ever find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by; it's an experience you won't forget!

Yelp
Be prepared for a wait! Initially they said about 30 mins just to get a buzzer but luckily someone left as I was still standing there and I got one. The bartenders are great and you can have really good drinks and even eat at the bar if you choose to. We waited on our table at the bar and the waitress was very nice. The bar is so well decorated and the vibe is just fun, they had a live band singing the rock version of Christmas carols It's the town's busiest time of the year so I totally understood the wait. Would def revisit!

Yelp
The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. It has such a vibe with the name of the place. The deco is as if we're back in the prohibition days. We only sat at the bar so we snacked on their fries, but it was delicious regardless. The bartender was amazing, it was busy but was able to tend to our drinks!
google avatar

Christina D.

Yelp
This place is perpetually packed, which is both good and bad. The food and drinks were very good but the service was slow. The ambiance is gorgeous and that of a speakeasy. I would return if I knew that I would be guaranteed a seat at the bar. Perhaps they need another location :D
google avatar

Yelp
The atmosphere in this place was great, although this visit was a bit disappointing. Everyone in our group got their appetizers and food, finished eating it and then about 10 minutes after everyone finished, I got my baked potato. The gentleman bartender was great, awesome personality, the female behind the bar was very standoffish. Overall in the past, we have had great experiences here. This visit didn't cut it. Not sure if this will be on our list next time. The milkshake looked amazing!
google avatar

Elizabeth A. H.

Yelp
Brady H. Was our waiter, and he was amazing. Very attentive to my husband's allergy needs and made sure our items were all in before the kitchen closed. The Violet Beauregard was amazing, I highly recommend it! As for the food it was super late and I was looking for something light so the cup of beer cheese soup and charcuterie was perfect! The table also ordered the deviled eggs which were fun and creative. The live music was good and the place was packed we had to wait about 49 minutes for a table.

Yelp
Great food and great drinks! This location is always a good time but it gets busy!! If you are bringing your family in for a bite to eat, be prepared to wait. Sunday's in the fall are for football and being one of the fee bats that has multiple tvs for the games, the bar area is packed early and it gets loud. We ordered the chicken wings (crispy) with one order having the honey mustard sauce and the other having the whiskey bbq. The whiskey bbq is a little sweet so next time we may ask them to mix the bbq with the honey mustard or the regular hot sauce. They have a large selection of beer! My husband got the Kentucky bourbon ale and I opted for a cider as they had the Blake's peach party in the can and they also had mcKenzie's black cherry in the bottle. No cider on tap. Very large bourbon selection as well. We tried the stagg junior.
google avatar

Yelp
I will assume the food was subpar due to the Christmas madness, but here it is: 1. Apps were decent. The pretzel was huge and the beer cheese dip was cold and an odd color orange. 2. The poutine had a weird gravy and NO cheese curds. 3. The deviled eggs were filled to the brim and tasty. Dinner: Chicken Wings - dry and were not even eaten. Prohibition burger - more like boring burger. The beer cheese soup was disgusting and inedible. It's the same odd burnt orange color as the dip, thick, and nasty. They did take it off the check, as my aunt ordered something else. The vegetarian Reuben had pickled beets that were actually pretty good. The Cobb salad was the best thing on the menu, but overloaded with cheese. They have a $5 split fee, but made it worth it. The atmosphere is electric and the live music was fun. Our sever was super fun and nice.

Yelp
The location of the restaurant is extremely convenient, it's right in the strip but make sure you get there early their wait times are usually 1hr plus and they operate first come first serve. The food is nothing too crazy it's regular bar food I wish they had more food options to be honest. The ambience is definitely for the sports fans, there's TV's everywhere. Not sure if I'll go again
google avatar

Heather V.

Yelp
I don't understand the hype of this place, or the two hour wait. I'm pretty sure it's the location, because I know it's not the food. lol Be prepared to wait 1-3 hours depending on the night. The ambience is upbeat and very lively. Food is average and drinks are alright. The live music & mingling is where it's at.
google avatar

Sherry J.

Yelp
What a fun bar. It was packed but we were still able to get seats at the bar. The food smelled delicious. We had dinner reservations elsewhere but would definitely come back to try the menu. The drinks were beautiful. I can't remember the name of this one but it sure was refreshing.

Yelp
We really liked everything about this place, the ambience, the drink selection, the food, and the service was outstanding!

Yelp
My friend had been raving about Prohibition Kitchen for months. We drove a couple hours to go for her birthday and to say the least I was disappointed with the service and food. Before coming here be warned that you must be 21 and over after 8 pm (I believe so). So be prepared to bring your ID. We went near dinner time and understood there would be a long wait. It was about a one hour wait. There was a live band here so if you will need to yell across the table if you are seated near the front. Our waiter took awhile to come with menus and our appetizers took awhile to come. My swiss burger was juicy but very oily. The poutine fries were great. The pork and cheese complimented each other. The wait for Prohibition Kitchen was not worth it. The food was decent and the prices were ok for being on historic St. George Street.
google avatar

Alicia M.

Yelp
What a fun vibe! My husband and I were drawn into Prohibition Kitchen because of their live band. Unfortunately we came too late for a sit down dinner, but they were still serving cocktails and apps at their bar. We loved their bartenders. I enjoy when recommendations are made and they take the time to explain their cocktail creations. We only planned on staying for a one cocktail, but wound up staying until they closed! We did get to try their German style pretzel with the ground mustard and beer cheese dip-YUM! The "PK Poutine" fries were also a hit. They are topped with a cheese sauce, pork belly, and chives. If you're in the area, pop in for a cocktail and stay for the live music!
google avatar

Tony R.

Yelp
This place is the go to place in St. Augustine. The food is amazing and service is superb! Make sure you give yourself enough time to get on the waitlist. Prices are reasonable as well! Enjoy!
google avatar

Yulisa S.

Yelp
Southern country charm restaurant with live music on certain times. The service was friendly just a little of a wait time since there are many people in the area during the Christmas light event. I had the Pk Signature Burger is was cooked to perfection with a signature sauce that made it very flavorful. The kids Burger is a very decent size. Be aware extra toppings are $2 more each and we order ranch sauce they charge $1 per each extra sauce you order. They offer a full bar with some signature cocktails. Parking is a little walk away, there is street parking nearby if you can find a space or a parking garage for a fee.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for an early dinner with my Mom, Dad and husband. We had to wait 30 min for a table to open as the city seemed to be really busy on a Sunday which was weird. I wasn't feeling the best this day so I didn't pay too much attention to anything but it seemed as though everyone enjoyed their food. We started with the giant pretzel and beer cheese; very good. I order the app Mac and cheese with steak. It was so good and honestly a really large portion for being just an app. I couldn't even imagine having that first, and then ordering a regular meal on top of that. Our waitress was very attentive. I couldn't decide what I wanted, she did give me more time willingly and tried to help me decide what I felt like having. Overall great experience, and I can't wait to go back

Yelp
Drove up to st Augustine and was looking for a great restaurant to eat at. They had several items to pick from. They also had like a 1.5-2 hour wait but we waited. The food was great, drinks were unique with many options of drinks to pick from. The places is well decorated with the staff looking according to the theme. Nice place
google avatar

Maisha R.

Yelp
The wait was an hour on a Saturday night so we opted to return for a late lunch/early dinner the following day, which was perfect. The restaurant was moderately full and there was great live music. The menu had so many things that we wanted to try so exercising restraint was tough! But, we did. We got the PK poutine app, the whiskey bbq burger, short rib grilled cheese, and grilled chicken strips for the little one. To drink, I had the cookies and cream shake and my husband did the "make your own old fashioned". The little one had pineapple juice. The kids meal came out fast, which is always appreciated. The chicken was grilled and very moist. They substituted her fries with corn with no issue. The poutine had smoked cheddar mornay, pork belly, sour cream, and chives. I would say that this was just ok. There was a large portion of fries and the toppings were not proportionate. Many fries had nothing on them. Our entrees were better than the appetizer. The short rib grilled cheee was excellent! The meat was tender and flavorful, there was plenty of cheese, and the bread was not soggy. With the peppers and onions, it reminded me of a Philly cheesesteak. The burger was also really good. I got the shake without alcohol and it was thick but not overly rich. Service here was good, as was the ambiance. We liked that they had a kids menu, which came with crayons and activities on the paper. The poutine left much to be desired and a $4 upcharge for what appeared to be frozen sweet corn instead of fries as the burger sseemed unnecessary.

Yelp
Day three in Saint Augustine, and I really wasn't thrilled about any of the places we had lunch or dinner. I looked at the menu on the window and there were chicken fingers, one of the major food groups for the five-year-old and in we went for lunch. This place is fantastic. I love the decor, the fact that they have menus that are newspapers and you can keep them. I wish we had one of these near us because there were so many things on the menu I wanted to taste. We split the lobster mac & cheese, which was out of this world and a French dip which was on a different bun than usual, so not sure how I felt about it, but it was still good. The fries were nice and crispy. The drinks were brought over immediately and the waiter was very attentive and made sure to come back and see if we needed anything else. If we weren't leaving, we would've been back for dinner. I can't say enough good things about this place.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Great food and drinks for everyone! I'm a sucker for pub food and this place didn't disappoint. There was even live music on a Sunday night, a little loud but still a cool ambiance.

Yelp
The atmosphere is unique, and amazing. We walked in and were seated right away - our waiter was Taylor, hands-down, one of the best waiters in the universe. I asked my usual, 384,000 questions and he had the answer to each. I enjoyed a gluten-free burger on lettuce, my friend did as well the two gluten eaters enjoyed grilled cheese with shortrib, and said it was amazing. I appreciated that I could have a good burger and french fries! Others at the table, enjoyed custom drinks, and remarked how good they were. I enjoyed my unsweet tea, and it was delicious. The prices are on par for the items received, the portion sizes are ginormous! And again, Taylor was an amazing server - comical, super friendly, and on top of his customer service we will definitely be back :)
google avatar

Sophia C.

Yelp
I would say definitely get the brussel spouts they were our favorite appetizer' Not sure why there are no photos on brussel sprouts when they were so delicious! The burger was mid. It was not above average and not below in my opinion. However my dad and cousin thought the burgers were above average. Take with that what you will. There was a long wait time, over an hour, at about 3pm on a Saturday. Once we sat down we immediately ordered and even getting the food out took a long time. I wouldn't say the wait time was worth it to be honest.
google avatar

Tamara W.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday around 1pm and surprisingly only had a 15 minute wait. Definitely a family restaurant with kids running around. Two story restaurant and had a singer live on this day. The bathrooms are dark but big. Our waiter Michael was so kind and on top of his service. He recommended a number of things and we ended up taking his advice and trying the strawberry buffalo wings as an appetizer. They were hot (temperature) and delicious, so crispy, the breading and the sauce were the highlights of this dish. For folks who like spicy, it was really spicy a little kick but nothing serious. My party also had the short rib grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, fries, flounder, and whiskey bbq burger. All the dishes were hits at our table, the garlic aioli and amount of meat on the grilled cheese were great. The flounder was HUGE and came on a bun. The whiskey bbq burger got with no French onions and was tasty, ordered some extra bbq sauce on the side. Fries are really good, Hot and crispy. Lastly we got drinks: Saturn, tangerine dream, and jungle orchid, which were all great and tasty. The jungle orchid was the only drink that didn't have a unique or forward taste, really light in flavor.

Yelp
Prohibition Kitchen was on our "one of the places to eat at" list while visiting St Augustine for a weekend. It's located in historic St George Street. It's got that dark 1920's/ speakeasy vibe but with live music and rowdy people. We went on a busy Saturday afternoon. To our surprise, we were seated right away. Our waiter was super helpful.. he went over the menus with us since it was our first time there and let us know all of their popular items. We decided to start with the PK poutine. It was fries topped with smoked cheddar mornay, pork belly, sour cream and chives. It was really good but very filling. As we were eating our appetizer, we saw another waiter bringing out a ginormous German Style Pretzel to a different table that caught our attention. It was served on a hook! Looked like something fun to eat.. wished we could've gotten that instead. Oh well next time ! Though the poutine was tasty, it was a lot for the two of us. We almost called it quits before our main entree came out. Thank goodness we decided to share our main dish with each other which was the short rib grilled cheese. The sandwich was super tasty --- it came with braised short rib, sofrito seasoned tomatoes, onions and bell peppers smothered with garlic aioli on a toasted sourdough bread. The meat was so juicy and tender it melted right in my mouth. I'm drooling just thinking about it!

Yelp
We enjoyed dinner here after an evening stroll through the city. The restaurant is beautiful! They had live music which created a calm comfortable ambience. The food was delicious! Full or flavor , fresh and served hot. They did drop our grilled cheese on delivery and didn't know but they resolved it really fast. As a party of 10 I was impressed how I top of everything they were. Between the two burgers and soup I tried, the soup was my favorite !

Yelp
Fun old time place located in the heart of St Augustine. Live music and cheap drinks. Cool decor.

Yelp
We stopped here on a week night in the middle of winter. It was super packed with barely anywhere to stand by the bar. We asked if we could sit at a table, but they were booked for the rest of the night. The menu is cool with the front looking like a old magazine about the prohibition. Just from reading the menu I didn't feel compelled to order anything off the menu, even though I was hungry. Sure with prohibition in the name it is more a place people come to drink, but it still has kitchen in the name too. The food options should have been better, mostly just really basic restaurant food such as burgers and fries. Note: if you come to old st Augustine late at night you might as well order food here. A lot of other places that are open close their kitchens earlier. The drinks here were good. The bartenders did an excellent job and were working like a well oiled machine to take care of everyone in the establishment. When we were there they had live music. The band playing was awesome. Restrooms were actually really nice here. I recommend making a reservation. If it is this busy in the off season I can't imagine how busy it can get!

Yelp
Where do I start... This restaurant is a must do! Found the Prohibition Kitchen while visiting the city for the first time and now I wish I had returned at least once more during my visit. I was in town for 4 days and by far this was the best meal I had. Brady our server was outstanding. He never missed a beat and even provided recommendations for us whiskey lovers. I had the peanut butter whiskey, while it was different compared to my usual, I quite enjoyed it. The pretzel starter was huge and tasted fantastic. I ordered the bacon burger as my meal and wow best burger I have had in a long long time. On top of the great food and service, I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. The themeing was beautiful and really takes you back in time. Also the most creative menu I ever seen. I wish I would've kept one however I wasn't returning to my hotel so I was worried I'll lose it. Long story short. Give this restaurant a shot and ask for Brady for great service

Yelp
The food was delicious. The service good! There was a band which made it heard to have a conversation. If you go when there is no entertainment it would be a great time!

Yelp
Good service. Food served quick. Fish and chips more batter than fish. Look like a huge portion but all batter.

Yelp
I went with my wife and 3 friends. We waited about 35 minutes for a table on a Monday around 630P. There were plenty of open tables so I guess they didn't have enough staff there. I got the short rib grilled cheese. It was good but nothing special. I feel like a codger when I say this but $18 for a grilled cheese sandwich seems excessive. This place use to be so much better before COVID. They had a better menu and they were never short staffed. I try to avoid it but the out of towners always want to go.

Yelp
Over-rated and Overpriced! Food was not edible and prices were crazy. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Yelp
Good service, great bourbon selection and delicious food right here! I particularly loved the 'make your own Old Fashioned' option where I went for some Whistle Pig, Angostura Bitters & Simple Syrup. Deviled Eggs (Chefs Choice), Triple Mushroom Swiss burger, and a Chef Salad were for lunch. Everything was tasty and for a touristy spot the price was solid. Fun vibe!

Yelp
I love, Love, LOVE Prohibition Kitchen! I have visited at least 20 times over the years and never make a trip to St. Augustine without lunch or dinner here. So many others have captured the essence of Prohibition Kitchen, so I do not have a lot to add that has not already been said. The large, two storied room (main floor and overlooking balcony) has an industrial, early 20th century feel, much as the name would suggest. It is a huge space but one in which it is easy to relax. There can be a long wait but is well worth it. On my most recent visit, I enjoyed a veggie burger with mushrooms and Swiss Cheese. Definitely one of the better veggie burgers I have had (and I have had many!). Served with Fries, the Veggie burger was more than enough food to fuel my afternoon!

Yelp
This is our must stop for the datil wings every time we are in Saint Augustine. They do not disappoint, they are cooked perfectly and the kick is something else. The kick however was a little intense for the kids so we ended up getting a separate order of bbq, that were surprisingly amazing, sweet and sticky and just YUM. Be prepared to wash your hands at least once during the process of eating them! The poutine was so so, the fries needed salt and the gravy was just whatever, it was good, but just not wow. The fried pickles were also quite tasty, definitely recommend them! I love the unique design and atmosphere. Our waitress Kyra was super sweet and fun, the hostess staff however, seem a bit guarded, not exactly friendly but not rude. Overall, a must try, get those wings and pickles for sure!

Yelp
Loved PK! The Bread pudding was delicious! I had the Cobb salad! And wow! The ingredients were the usual but with a twist; pickled eggs, onions, bacon jam and smoked cheese. So amazing! Would definitely come back and recommend! Also had live music so the vibe was there! And to not forget the service was great! Had refills ready before we even asked for them. The wait time was decent as well

Yelp
Came here for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was great . I tried the Signature Burger and Short Rib Grilled Cheese. Both were outstanding--the burger was juicy and flavorful, and the grilled cheese was perfectly toasted with tender short rib. The service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for a unique and delicious dining experience!

Yelp
!This place serves some of the best burgers I've ever had--juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a welcoming vibe that makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy good food. Whether you're coming with friends or just looking for a great burger, this place delivers. I had the burger with an egg on top, and WOW--what a game-changer! It was absolutely delicious and took the burger to a whole new level. A must-try if you visit. They also have a great selection of bourbon, which is a huge plus! I tried the Michter's 10, and it was absolutely fantastic--a real treat for bourbon lovers. That said, the service at the bar really needs to improve. Waiting way too long for drinks isn't cool, especially when three bartenders are sitting around chatting while one is left doing all the work. Let's be real--this is exactly why people sit at the bar. They want to get their beer or drink faster than the average Joe with a family sitting at a table. Families can wait, but not me--no way, mister! LOL LOL Just Kidding .... lets Say LOL If they can fix the bar staffing issue, this place could easily be a 5-star spot. I'll still be back for the incredible burgers, the chill atmosphere, and the excellent bourbon selection, but I really hope they step up their game at the bar!

Yelp
The atmosphere at this restaurant is fantastic--fun, lively, and perfect for a night out. The food is delicious and adds to the overall enjoyable experience. However, the service, specifically at the bar, left a lot to be desired during our last visit. We waited for over four minutes without being acknowledged by the bartender, which felt unnecessarily long. A simple "hello" or even a quick acknowledgment that we were noticed and would be helped soon would have gone a long way. Instead, we observed three bartenders standing at the other end of the bar, chatting amongst themselves. While the food and atmosphere are great, service like this detracts from the overall experience. A little more attentiveness and professionalism from the bar staff would significantly improve the guest experience. I hope this was an isolated incident, as the rest of the visit was quite enjoyable.

Yelp
Food was served room temperature after a very long wait. Our hamburger was missing toppings that was ordered and fries came out cold and not seasoned. We asked for new fries they came out hot and seasoned. They ran out of silverware.
