The Best Breweries In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"If you don’t have a beer agenda in mind, go to Project 9. This Maple Leaf spot is a large asphalt oasis dropped onto a busy intersection, and their beer lineup is as unpredictable as a monkey loose inside of a Home Depot. You’ll find peanut butter and jelly sandwich sours alongside turtle-flavored stout, and San Diego-style IPAs next to ones infused with pineapple and tangerine. Use it as a meet-in-the-middle spot when folks in your group are coming from opposite sides of town, or a patio session that feels just as summery as an oyster bar on the water." - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

The Best Breweries in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Project 9’s only been open since 2023 and has already proven itself a Seattle staple. Perched on a busy traffic corner where Maple Leaf meets Roosevelt is this unexpected asphalt beer oasis that boasts a draft lineup fit to compete with the city’s longer-established breweries. And compete they do — the Buccaneer’s Gold Pilsner won a medal at last year’s Great American Beer Festival. But honestly, it’s best to drop in here without any specific beer in mind. The small batches tend to rotate (and sell out) fast, and they cover a broad range of styles for all tastes. From a lightly hoppy PNW pilsner to an imperial stout that tastes like an Almond Joy, it’s tough to go wrong." - Brianna Gunter

Does Seattle Have Enough Fried Chicken Restaurants? - Eater Seattle

"Project 9 Brewing, the Maple Leaf brewery that focuses on an ever-changing lineup of eclectic pale ales, is now open in the mornings in the form of Full Tank Coffee. According to the Instagram announcement, this coffee shop will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday, with plans to expand to seven days a week starting in 2024. There is coffee (obviously) as well as pastries from well-regarded bakery Zylberschtein’s and breakfast sandwiches from the Sammich food truck. It’s a welcome addition to a neighborhood that is long on coffee drive-thrus but a bit short on great sit-down breakfast options. Uh, there’s also beer if you’re having that kind of morning." - Harry Cheadle

Local brewery near the Maple Leaf neighborhood. Wide variety of beers with cool names and logos. I had the Personal Fowl hazy IPA and Dark Omen Schwarzbier. Flavors for both were good. In addition to the usual pint, they offer 5 oz and 10 oz sizes so you can try more beers without drinking so much. There's a cozy upstairs area for events. A welcome addition to the neighborhood! PS If you found this review helpful, please "heart" it. Thank you!

You would think this place would be a great option for kids but there are a number of fairly passive agressive signs telling you to control your kid "no running around or playing" and *numerous* dirty looks from staff for very mild kid behavior. Like, my kids can be demons but they were pretty well behaved here and we were constantly on them, but staff seemed pissed at their mere existence. Also I thought the beers were extremely mediocre.

While in the area my family saw there was kid-friendly trivia at this location. You can bring your own food but all drinks must be purchased onsite. We tried 3 of the beers. The sour beer was fantastic! A food truck was available and it was excellent as well. Parking was tricky. We did find street parking a few blocks away. It was a packed house. They have seating indoors and outdoors on the main level. There's also additional seating upstairs for trivia players. Trivia was really fun and well done!

Went to Project 9 for my brother’s graduation and we reserved the upstairs space. We spent about an hour there and ordered about $100 worth of beer while we were there. While leaving they told us there was a two hour minimum at $300 per hour. They made us spend an extra $500 and would not budge on that amount even though the building was essentially empty. They didn’t have plates or napkins, they didn’t have anyone helping us. I understand it was written in their contract, but to not even meet us half way? They don’t even serve food there, so to meet $600 seems pretty ridiculous. The only saving grace for me was that they “allowed us” to grab merch and beer to meet their $600 quota. Maybe next time tell your guests when they arrive about the $600 minimum rather than wording it in a way that can be easily misinterpreted.

One of the best taprooms in Seattle. We just recently discovered Project 9 and we aren't sure why. This place is absolutely fantastic. They have a spacious indoor area, complete with an upstairs arcade. They have a large, covered patio space out front complete with heaters and lounge style seating. Out back they have an equally impressive biergarten with umbrella and bierhall style seating. They have amazing beer options of all varieties. They also have food trucks on site most days. They are family and dog friendly.

Great addition to the community! Tons of seating options both in and outdoors. Arcade games inside. Great selection of beer. The food options (not in-house, but parked out front) are really great and filling. Super clean and friendly!

Such a welcoming brewery on Lk City Way and in the neighborhood - great new beers and space just to hang out. Love that they have two sours on tap, hopefully more sour and more beer variety to come. Dog friendly a plus!

Wow! This is the brewery the area has been missing. We tried several beers and were happy to find that they were all delicious. There was plenty of out door seating, they have bike racks, food trucks, and it’s dog friendly. Definitely will be back soon. Update- originally I gave this place 5 stars, because it was great! Today lowering to 2 stars due to loud running children and more kids than adults in the brewery. When I’m at a brewery, I don’t like to feel like I’m at a day care.
