Yelp
As yes... the type of pizza experience that's memorable... hard to do, as pizza joints are as common as craft breweries these days. There are a gajillion of them, and many are pretty dang good.
Prometheus drew me in with their 4.5/5 star rating and vibes of an "off the beaten path" place, even though it's clearly popular and well traveled. I mean, it's in a building that's basically a food truck without wheels. It's small, and they're working their tails off in there to feed a hungry throng of excited fans. Parking is somewhat limited and there are a handful of picnic tables, all outdoors and without cover.
I ordered a cheese pizza for the kids and one of the specials for me, which was a bison off-the-menu special that had all sorts of other goodies I can't remember... including some spice and some honey for that fantastic sweet and spicy vibe. I ate the entire pizza myself and had zero regrets. Stellarrrrrr. The kids' cheese pizza went over well, too, and I had a leftover piece later that still tasted quality - although the night-of, fresh out of the oven, was far superior.
The special bison pizza was pricey at $25, but wow was it good. Would I spend that much again? Maybe... but for the price point, I'd probably explore something a little less spendy.
Nice folks working the joint, too. Really nice.
Drink selection is limited, but the set-up is such that I imagine a lot of folks bring their own. A lot of traffic was also pick-up / to-go orders, of course.
Note that there ARE bathrooms on site, and they're legit - not just port-a-potties. :)
This place is high-quality Yelp-trendy seek-out-now worthy for sure.
