The 10 Hottest New Restaurants Around Atlanta, November 2024

"The ‘70s are here to stay in Atlanta. Propaganda is a retro, vibey cocktail and live music spot in Smyrna on the upstairs level of Zucca Bar & Pizzeria. Run by photographer and artist Mr. Wattson and designer Heather Tazza, the space is meticulously curated. From the disco ball to the ‘70s themed yellow couches to the walls covered in posters, art, and vinyl collections (look up at the ceiling, there’s record sleeves on there, too), this bar is sure to transport you to funky town. Expect innovative cocktails like the Pop Rocks Rita with, you guessed it, pop rocks candy, a Bohemian Rhapsody Disco Lemonade, and an Uncle Sam Aperol Spritz for $16 each. Reservations recommended. Dress code." - Henna Bakshi

11 Hottest New Cocktail Spots Around Atlanta

"Opened just a few months ago above Zucca Bar & Pizzeria in Smyrna Market Village, this 1970s-themed speakeasy-style bar is reminiscent of Studio 54 — exuding maximalist glitz, glamor, and vintage charm from every corner. The drinks here are fun with a capital F. Can’t go wrong with the Propaganda (a pop rocks margarita) or the Inflation Punch. Other cocktails are named after defining events, songs, and artists of the 20th century like Watergate, Warhol, and Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. Bar and lounge space is limited, so reservations are recommended." - Allison Ramirez, Eater Staff

I’m torn about this place b/c it has so much potential. The vibes are right for the kids that grew up on bubblegum cigarettes (IYKYK), the service was friendly & fast, & the DJs know their stuff. That said, I cannot believe I paid a $10 per head cover charge in the middle of a Sunday afternoon with only 2 other people in the place. That alone will stop me from coming back. However, the drinks here are SO sweet. Even the old-fashioned. These are not elevated craft cocktails but rather college kid drinks with an elevated craft cocktail price tag which is a pretty unforgiving combination. Unfortunately, it’s a miss for me.

This new speakeasy & cocktail bar is incredible! Huge congratulations to Mr. Wattson and Heather for creating such an awesome and vibrant spot. The service is A1! The drinks are strong & delicious, and the music offers the perfect nostalgic vibe. The whole place has this amazing retro decor. Cozy & comfortable…a true judgement free zone where you can just hang. This will be my new weekend spot for sure!

Propaganda is the newest speakeasy with a groovy 70s vibe in Smyrna. The music is fantastic, setting the perfect mood, and the owner’s warm welcome makes you feel right at home. Their creative and amazing cocktails are a must-try. I loved their propaganda cocktail and you would love it too! Highly recommend for a unique night out! This place opens only on Thursday - Saturday. So plan your weekends at the best in the city. There is a plenty of free parking available.

Where do i start?! When i say this is the place to be! I mean it. The vibes are there, the drinks are amazing and the service is impeccable. They even have Dj’s who spin vinyl records! Christina and Joe are amazing bartenders with great energy. If you are in Atlanta or the surrounding cities you HAVE to check them out!

This. Bar. Is. So. Cool. Speakeasy/cocktail lounge/bar/70’s basement hidden above an unassuming pizza joint in Smyrna. There’s games like dominos, uno, and jenga on the tables, there’s a DJ playing vintage records, the server, Emily, is fun and friendly, the drinks are delicious, there’s great spots for photo ops, the whole place looks like an art installation, and every single corner is unique. Drinks are $16, but they were worth it, and so was the experience. You absolutely need a reservation. It costs $10 per person to reserve a spot. The space is VERY small but I liked the intimate feel. If you’re looking for a private spot and want to not be close to others, this isn’t the place for you. If you’re looking to mingle and make friends, look no further! We will absolutely be back

My new favorite bar!! The drinks are unique and good, and the bartender is so friendly and helpful. The dj was amazing, he was playing good music the entire time, people were even getting up to dance! All around great vibes and I can’t wait to go back!

Google
Really cool place and bar. Annoying that there was a cover charge of 10 dollars on a Wednesday but the vibes were really really cool inside with the deejay playing some super cool vinyls. Cocktails were ok not my favorites but still very nice people and service we will be back

Yelp
Really cute place but drove about 20 minutes to come on a Thursday night. Posted hours online and at the door are 7-1AM, they pointed us upstairs, but no one ever came up. When we went downstairs we were told that they weren't open on Thursdays. So I would just recommend not trying to go on a Thursday lol
