It’s surprisingly spacious enough to hold up to 100 guests but can also accommodate smaller gatherings. Vintage in setting, Prosecco’s lounge features antique light fixtures, plus lush sofas and a sound system for a full-scale party. There’s also a catering menu for lighter bites, beverages, and dinner." - Audarshia Townsend

If you want good service, this is still a restaurant that still has a good wait staff. We have had several great, memorable group occasions here and it is recommended for larger groups with reservations

The food we were able to try was outstanding—we had the avocado starter, mussels, and white fish, all of which were excellent. Unfortunately, we never got to experience a full meal or dessert due to poor service. Service started off fine but deteriorated as the evening progressed. The staff appeared overwhelmed by the Valentine's Day crowd, and the front-of-house team, including the hostess, seemed flustered. They even lost our coat check tickets. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and were asked to wait at the bar, but the lychee martini was disappointing, and the rest of the cocktail menu was unappealing. Once seated, it took over an hour for our appetizer—the avocado starter and mussels—to arrive. Then, as we waited for our entrée, the waiter assured us, "The branzino will be out shortly." Confused, we corrected him, explaining that we had ordered the white fish, not branzino. After that mix-up, we had to wait another hour for the correct dish. When it finally arrived, the fish was delicious, but we then had to wait another 30 minutes for the pasta—only to receive the wrong order. We had requested shrimp pasta but were instead given a mushroom dish. Meanwhile, we noticed that a couple who had arrived after us was able to place their order without any issues and received their food promptly. When we pointed out our incorrect pasta order, the waiter told us it was too late to place another order since the kitchen was closing. Instead of offering a solution, he simply left the incorrect dish at our table and suggested we eat it anyway. As a consolation, he brought us a glass of limoncello, which was unfortunately just as disappointing. Frustrated and still hungry, we ended up leaving and grabbing pizza on the way home. That said, the food we did get to try was excellent, so we’re willing to give the restaurant another chance. Hopefully, service will be better on a less busy night.

My wife and I ordered 4 pastas off of the happy hour menu to give us a taste of several dishes. They were all incredible. 8-10/10 for all of the dishes. Highly recommend this place! We’ll be back next time we’re in town! Great value. Incredible quality

Google
This is one a great Italian restaurant that literally never disappoints! If you’re downtown, do yourself a favor and book a reservation. It’s also a great date night restaurant. Their pastas are all made in house and it will be a crime to skip dessert and their legendary tiramisu. After a trip to Italy, I can confirm the delicious dessert is 100% authentic! Service is always top notch too no matter how busy they get.

This is a classy Italian restaurant in the River North Gallery District. Atmosphere filled with beautiful artwork reminds me of Venice, Italy. Perfect for romantic dates and special occasions. Everything we ordered off the menu was outstanding. The vodka dirty martinis with blue cheese olives were wicked good. Waitstaff is kind and pleasant. We had a great experience on my first visit. If you get there early enough, there’s street parking. I managed to park right in front of the restaurant for a 6 PM reservation. Parking gets a little tight after that. We ordered several dishes to share family style. A few favorites from the menu, Avocado with grilled Maine lobster and prawns, the Wagyu Carpaccio, The Meatball, Polpo Grilled baby octopus, crispy fingerling potatoes. All delicious! Crème Brûlée for dessert was divine. They also have happy hour from 5pm - 6:15pm so if you get there early enough, there is a lovely assortment of cocktails, appetizers, and main menu items for almost half the price. This restaurant is definitely on my recommendations and revisit list.

Stopped in after a show and to take advantage of Restaurant Week. The menus they offered included a variety of dishes and all were amazing! Perfect portions as well. Service was fast and excellent. Great for date night or dinner with the family.

I am sitting at the bar at Prosecco on Wells Street. They have happy hour Mon through Saturday. I am having the Salsicca E Rapini pasta on the happy hour menu and it’s delicious! Taylor the bartender is so nice and accommodating! Highly recommend.

Google
We absolutely love this place! This is one of the best kept secrets of Chicago. And we have been coming here for years. The Fettuccine Al Granchi was so delicious! I wish I had done the full serving. The Avocado Antipasti was the perfect appetizer to the meal. And the limoncello shots we the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Can't wait to come back for my birthday.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing time! The noodles are great, a little long (had to cut) but would have again

Yelp
Went here as a quick option before going to a rooftop bar and it was easy to snag a reservation here. It seems like the kind of place not many people know about given its underrated vibe. Overall the food was enjoyable! I'd say the standout of our meal was the carpaccio. A bit bummed that you have to pay extra for bread service and overall it wasn't worth it. The seafood risotto was good as well, but very filling. Pretty good meal, decent service, but I can't say I'd come back for a second time given there are so many other standout restaurants in the area.

Yelp
Had a great dinner here last night with a group of work colleagues. Just about every plate of food that landed on our table was absolutely devoured with great delight. The appetizers got us off to a very strong start. We ordered the meatball, which was fantastic nice and tender with a wonderful sauce on top of it. The sausage and peppers which was again a phenomenal dish in the sauce that came with the sausage and peppers was so good. They were dipping our bread into it just to get a couple of extra tastes of sauce. The star of the show was the stuffed. This is one of the best bites of food. I've had in a long, long time a wonderful sweet date stuffed with Italian sausage and wrapped in bacon. It was a perfect combination of sweet and salty. just a fantastic fantastic dish. Because we went on appetizers, most of our group went with salads for entrées. Those all looked fine although a salad is an entrée isn't that and spurring to me. I did get the Bolognese as well and I thought it was really good. The sauce was nice and flavorful plenty of meat if anything, the pasta might have been slightly undercooked, but Was not big enough an issue to bring down the rating of the restaurant overall. On top of the great food, the service is wonderful as well, constantly stopping by the table to make sure we are enjoying our food and checking to see if there's anything else we needed which because of their diligent attention to our table that rarely was the case.

Yelp
A friend recommended this restaurant to us so my husband and I went for an early dinner before catching a comedy show in the Loop. Ambiance and service were great but it couldn't have made up for how horrible the food was. The bread was in no way impressive. The Caesar salad looked and tasted like something you'd get from a hospital cafeteria. My husband's steak had great flavor was there were parts of it that were completely raw. The worst dish by far was the Carbonara. It was gray because they put entirely too much pepper in it which completely overpowered the taste of the dish. I've never been served gray carbonara in my life. Asparagus was very good, so they have that going for them. Sadly, won't be going back.

Yelp
Prosecco was the best option for a last minute reservation on a Friday night... for 10 people! They did well! Our server Raul was polite but not chatty - and he didn't miss a beat! He got everything correct (and with 10 people you KNOW there were edits). Even the guys that cleared our table were fantastic! I asked for a coffee refill and he said to me "you had the decaf right?!" Yes sir and thank you for remembering! I ordered the best cooked scallops of my life. Crisp outside edge, soft and melt-in-your-mouth inside. Someone in the group ordered the $60 ribeye and that presentation was beautiful. We're grateful Prosecco could get our group in on a busy Friday night, and we'll be back for sure! Maybe it's our celebratory dinner spot?!

Yelp
This is a place I need to add as a regular spot to go to for a date night! I am most impressed with how piping hot the foods come out and you can tell every app, meal, and dessert item isn't rushed when made for you. Been here twice now, and had a great dining experience sitting up at the bar. Highly recommend seating at the bar for your meal as well! Their espresso martinis are the best, hard not to have two! I still dream about their rigatoni norcina pasta. You have to get this. The ambiance is super cozy and feels upbeat at the same time.

Yelp
This place had really good reviews so I was excited to try it. However i left pretty disappointed. the restaurant is very elegant, high ceilings, a cool wine rack on display the bar, lots of spacious tables service was super slow... we had to flag down our waiter to take our orders we got the bread (they charge $5 for bread service!) carbonara, rigatoni, steak risotto. the food also took quite some time to come..i check turning around to check if the waiter was around to ask about the food but it was really hard to flag him down. The bread was so average... i feel like if a restaurant charges for bread it should be extra fresh and have some extra memorable element but they served just plain baguette bread...not worth the extra charge. the food was really well seasoned but both pasta disease were SUPER al dente.... like almost crunchy it was very odd. the sauces were delicious though but the inappropriate texture of the pasta really distracted us from the tasty sauce. there are so many italian food options in this area, i recommend looking elsewhere!

Yelp
Beautiful setting and recommend for an intimate dinner. Also great for groups. Owner and staff are attentive and amazing. Food was good. We had a set menu so generally recommend returning when we can order for ourselves. Drinks were watery. Flavor of foods were five star.

Yelp
After a long session with a business executive up in river north, my wife and I definitely needed a martini. We walked out on Wacker and headed north towards our home and walked right by this restaurant called - Prosecco, on Wells St.; we never knew of this place even existed until now? We walked in an loved the facts that the lights were low, the restaurant was quiet (sound wise) and it was "Happy Hour" and we were not going to spend a ton of money. We also liked that this place was completely chill and Zen, unlike our meeting we just finished. We couldn't have been happier being here and sitting at the bar. We ordered from their Happy Hour menu: * The Gin Martini's (of course) * A rather good Caesar salad * A giant Italian meat ball oozing with red sauce - loved it * A delicious pasta Calabrese with shrimp * A Torte di Meme cake that was excellent Our bartender / waiter was adorable, along with the calming atmosphere this restaurant radiated, we loved being here!!

Yelp
Sadly the food wasn't what we expected, we didn't enjoy any of our pasta. I'd be willing to try it again because the service and ambiance was great, Italian music playing, low light, we went for our anniversary so it dampened the night but if they'd have us back to change our mind, we'd go.

Yelp
Such an elegant vibe inside! Love that they offer a half portion of all their dishes...perfect dinner spot if you're going out after. Delicious drinks and food! A great espresso martini. Staff was friendly and funny!

Yelp
I highly recommend coming to Prosecco! The restaurant is very beautiful inside with chandeliers all over the ceilings. They also have outdoor seating which is perfect for a beautiful evening for pasta under the lights. We ordered an aeperol spritz ($15) and lychee martinis ($18) for the table to wind down after a work day. We ordered some starts for the table and were having a hard time deciding how much to order since we didn't want to order too much. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates ($18), the burrata ($18), and the lumache ($18) for the table. The burrata and bacon wrapped dates came with three pieces, but we were able to split everything as they were large pieces. Our favorite appetizer was the burrata as the tomato jam had a nice sweetness to it but it was not overpowering either. If I were to skip an appetizer, it would be the lumache but I am glad to have tried it. It was very refreshing. I could have easily eaten the whole dish to myself with how delicious it was. For the entrees, we order half portions for the Tartufate ($19), Risotto Frutti di Mare ($23), and Cavatelli ($19). We ordered a full portion of the Carbonara ($27), but a half portion could have been enough with us sharing family style. My favorite pastas were the carbonara and the Tartufate. The black truffle cream with a mix of sun-dried tomatoes and asparagus tasted like the perfect summer pasta. I am a sucker for anything with truffles so I needed to try it and you could taste all the different flavors mixed. The Carbonara was very creamy and I found myself not being able to stop eating it. The guanciale was not overpowering and a perfect amount to mix in some protein with carbs. The Cavatelli had a little spice that was very bearable and gave it a nice twist to the dish. It had a good mix of seafood and vegetables if you wanted a mix of protein, carbs, and vegetables. The saffron broth was a nice touch too as it gave it a summer appearance. The Risotto Frutti di Mare caught my attention with the squid ink. This dish had two difference sauces in the risotto mixed, the squid ink and white wine mixed with seafood. I loved the mix of the seafood as there was calamari, mussels, and shrimp in the dish but not too much as well. The must try appetizers and pastas for me would be the Burrata, Tartufate, and the Carbonara. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and were extremely full that we were able to bring leftovers. We were told the half portion pastas were appetizer sizes but we felt that the half portion sizes were the perfect amount of food. For the prices of the pastas and in River North, Prosecco doesn't break your bank and is reasonable compared to most Italian restaurants in the area. I highly recommend and would gladly come again!

Yelp
Came here for my boyfriends early birthday dinner after seeing one of my favorite Chicago food reviewers on tiktok rave about this place. We came with two friends & did make a reservation about a week beforehand. We ordered everything to be eaten "family style", started with the meatball & burrata which was delicious. One giant meatball for $18 is kind of insane though! We also ordered the full portion of the bolognese ($29) & the carbonara ($27), the Parmesan crusted chicken ($27), the 16oz aged prime ribeye ($61 which was probably my favorite thing it was so good & soft, the crust on it was amazing), grilled asparagus ($12 my boyfriend wanted this & said it was very good), & fingerling potatoes ($10 these were on the salty side but very good went yummy with the steak). The service overall was hit & miss, they were pretty good with refilling the water but they forgot our carbonara so it came out much MUCH later than everything else plus it looked like we got the smaller portion when we ordered the full potion so we asked someone & they agreed it did look small for a full so they went to go talk to someone but someone else came back & tried to assure us that it was the full portion & that they weigh the pasta but we were all still unsure since the full order of the bolognese was much more, sharing that was perfect but sharing the carbonara everyone got a very small portion. After trying it though we weren't upset anymore bc it was all of our least favorite thing of the night which was disappointing since it was what we were all looking forward to the most haha. There were some cooked egg pieces in there which carbonara is definitely not supposed to have. They brought out limoncellos for everyone for my boyfriends birthday which was nice! We ordered three desserts, the flourless chocolate cake, butter cake, & tiramisu. Butter cake was the best thing it was so good, the tiramisu I could taste alcohol in there which I personally didn't like I like a more strong coffee/espresso flavor but it was my best friends favorite dessert out of the three. None of us liked the flourless chocolate cake though it was just way too rich & chocolate-y for us, even for my chocolate loving best friend who ordered it. Also for my girls, when I went the bathroom was exceptionally clean & honestly beautiful in there, definitely one of the better bathrooms I've been to in a long time haha. Overall, we did have a good dinner here I just wished the service could've been a bit better like maybe offered to take a portion of the carbonara off our bill since they forgot it & it took so dang long.
google avatar

Yelp
After reading some mixed reviews I wasn't sure what to expect for our first dinner here, but overall we had a good experience! I had the bolognese which was really good - I'm a sauce fan so felt like it could have used a scoop more, but overall really nice. My husband got the branzino which tasted fresh, my friend got the halibut special and loved it, and another friend got the seafood pasta and liked it. Good cocktails and wine. It does feel a little cramped in there and where our table was, but overall good atmosphere. A friend also shared feedback that the men's bathroom was tight quarters and lacked privacy. Fyi.

Yelp
So I just so happened to be in Chicago for Restaurant week!! I had to take advantage of this opportunity and find a restaurant to go to. I settled in on Prosecco after seeing so many pictures of the Tartufate (orecchiette pasta, mushroom, esparagus, tomatoes, black truffle cream). I knew that I had to have that. I could tell it was going to be amazing just by the pictures. So it was my goal to try it! I couldn't decide on whether I should just the regular size or get the appetizer size that came with the restaurant week menu. My waiter was great - he informed me that it would be a decent size, even though it was the appetizer. So I went with that as the appetizer and the Filetto di Manzo (6 oz prime beef, bone marrow butter, charred broccolini). I did add some Parmesan to the pasta- that really made the flavors come together. The beef was perfectly cooked and didn't need anything extra. Loved the broccolini too! Very flavorful. I'm so grateful for that menu! I got the best of both worlds. Not to mention I had a Lychee martini that the waiter made sure was extra sweet just for me ;) Overall, an amazing meal and great service. This is a restaurant week must try!

Yelp
Came here for dinner while on a work trip. Didn't realize they have a great happy hour so I opted to just order off that menu for dinner. Quite a few selections for apps and pasta. I got the burrata. It was delicious with fresh basil and a homemade heirloom tomato jam, yum! I also tried the tartufate it had asparagus, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes with a black truffle cream sauce, delicious! Sat at the bar and service was good. A bit loud with other conversations going on but that's to be expected for a good dining spot in Chicago. Definitely would go back!
google avatar

Sylvia G.

Yelp
We decided to order based on the waitress recommendations and she was right on point. We ordered a nice appetizer to share, followed by some pasta frutti di mare which was full of flavor. We also got the halibut and brazino which was seared to perfection. We didn't skip on dessert and tried the ricotta cheesecake. Every meal was delicious.

Yelp
Perfect for date night or a special occasion. I'd recommend calling ahead for a reservation. My experience here was positive and I'd return in the future. Pros: -cozy and comfortable atmosphere -beautiful interior and clean bathrooms -side street parking -tasty dishes -nice waitstaff and very accommodating to personal preferences/dietary choices Cons: -small portions -recommend a reservation

Yelp
Im sorry but this did not exceed or even meet my expectations which was SO disappointing! My boyfriend and I were waiting to come to this place for a bit as the Tik Toks definitely influenced us. Everyone was raving about it, but wow nothing tasted right. Idk if it was the wrong night, wrong chef or what, but nothing was good. We came so hungry and so excited and left disappointed.

Yelp
Decent Italian option - pasta was pretty good and the ambiance was really nice. Service was also prompt and very attentive. We got a couple drinks and two pasta dishes and they were solid. Perfect a nice date night!

Yelp
Went here for a late night dinner with a large group. The restaurant was very well appointed and cozy. Our waiter was attentive and provided excellent recommendations for wine and food. The pasta was fabulous and everyone really enjoyed their dinners

Wesley C.

Yelp
If I could give less stars I would. I came here with my friends for a birthday and they were not able to accommodate a 12 person party. It took 40 minutes to get our first round of drinks, then 2 more hours to get our food which at that point we were trying to cancel. The manager came out being so rude trying to blame it on us and then came back out saying "sorry I'm scicilian". Would never come back. AWFUL

Yelp
Came here with fam and friends recently. As a disclaimer, I will say that I'm Italian so I have high standards for Italian food. The ambience in the restaurant is fun, upscale and was decorated nicely for the holidays. I almost never have anything bad to say about service workers because I know how hard the job is, but I will say our server was not friendly and quite rude. The wait is also long- we waited at least an hour for food. In terms of food, our appetizers and salads were nothing special or memorable. The entrees were great, though I will say I've had better Italian both in Chicago and other cities. Prices range from 20s-30s for entrees and ~$15 for salads and apps. They give a good amount of food though, so worth the price. Overall, a solid place but not overly memorable for me.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I've been in the section of River North Prosecco is in but loved seeing the new restaurants and shops. I met a friend here for an early dinner. There weren't many people at first but there were three larger groups (around 10 each) that eventually showed and dined. We started with the bacon wrapped dates which were very good. I'm pretty sure there was also some sort of sausage stuffed in there. My friend ordered a pasta dish with clams and I went with the Anello, which were the lamb chops with green beans. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and loved marinade. There was perfect little crust around the bones. The green beans... meh. They were overcooked and a tad bland. I wish they'd paired them with something else I could have enjoyed with the chops. Skipped dessert but overall, nice meal.

Yelp
First time here with a group of ladies for Galentines Day! Eclectic + warm atmosphere that felt very romantic and inviting. Loved the burrata and Carbonara. We even got a complimentary Limoncello! Would recommend.

Yelp
So delicious!! You have to get the Tartufate. The sauce is incredible. I got the carbonara and it was good but I tired the tartufate and it was way better. Also the bread service is nice and comes with a little tomato dip

Yelp
Discovered Prosecco on OpenTable and saw it was a must try. The food was excellent, I loved how their were portion size options and many tea options. Everything was delicious from the eggplant parm, rigatoni, and seafood pasta! Our server Christian was very attentive and service was great.
google avatar

Miss A.

Yelp
Absolutely smitten!! A perfect night to enjoy al fresco dinning and sip Prosecco through an incredible meal. It had been an overdue ladies night, the food was impressive and the table service was top notch! It was tough to decide what to order but I would probably go back and order it all over again because it was so dang perfect and fresh. We started with a round of Prosecco (how could we not?) and steak carpaccio garnished with arugula which was melt in your mouth delicious. Not too heavy, just enough to get you excited about everything else... Oh and let me just rave a little about their eggplant capanata that comes out compliments of the Kitchen between appertivo & secondi! It's wildly addictive and just like my gramma used to make. The Orecchiette Tartufate and the Grilled Octopus with Squid Ink Aioli were outrageously good too, both filling and a perfect balance of flavors to share. We left room for the cheesecake with berries, tastebuds were loving every sweet bite. To be fair, I am pretty fussy about my Italian food, and Prosecco comes about as close to the homemade Sicilian style dishes as I have found in the heart of the City. No wonder it's a well-kept secret among locals and a family-run restaurant that's been around for 15+ years. They even make their own limoncello which our waiter extrodinare Christopher brought out to us at the end of the meal. Already excited to go back! Salute
google avatar

Claudia E.

Yelp
So excited to try. We arrived at 8:45PM. We were informed by the host that they close the kitchen at 9. The website should state they close at 9 not 10

Yelp
An amazing, yet unpretentious Italian eatery located near north side. First impressions are key and the staff are above stellar with respect to how accommodating and personable they are. However -- let us move on to the amazing decor. Elegant and uplifting without being ostentatious. The skylight in the back room is a nice touch. Then the food . . . well, I'll let the picture speak for itself. The Tartufate pasta on the right is so amazingly creamy and delicious wirhout being heavy in the slightest. And the Ribeye. . . oh the Ribeye. Let the picture speak for itself. Literally the best steak I've ever eaten. Better than any steakhouse in NYC (yea, you, Peter Luger's).
google avatar

Andrea E.

Yelp
Wow, I haven't stopped thinking about Prosecco since my visit. From the personal attention, to the ambiance, and not to mention the absolute delicious food - I'm counting down the days until I can return.

Molly H.

Yelp
This restaurant needs a lot of work. The food and service were both below standards in Chicago. The server cleared plates the second you were done eating, the martini was just awful, food tasted microwaved and the Valentine's Day decorations were up days after the holiday. These are just to name a few of the issues.
google avatar

Pablo C.

Yelp
Absolutely charmed by Prosecco! Located in the heart of Chicago, this restaurant truly brings the magic of Italy to the Midwest. The ambiance was welcoming, exuding warmth and sophistication, perfect for an intimate dinner or a fun gathering with friends. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional dining experience. The food was exceptional, and what's more, the prices were surprisingly reasonable for such high quality. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an outstanding dining experience without breaking the bank. Five stars well deserved!

Thomas M.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely terrible. It didn't used to be this bad. I went two nights in a row, hoping that maybe I had just gotten an off night or an off dish. No. Every dish I got was absolutely atrocious, the first dish was so heavy in garlic as to make it practically inedible. The next dish I got was a carbonara which was a tasteless disgusting glop. Look at the picture I have posted of the "carbonara" and then do a google image search of "carbonara" and tell me if you think the dish I ate bears any resemblance to what carbonara is supposed to be. It is very disappointing at just how terrible and disgusting the food has gotten here. Two stars instead of one because the people who served me were very nice.
google avatar

Toks A.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of Prosecco! It's rare that every single dish I order is a 10/10 but that was the case here. Everything from the burratta to the rigatoni was delish! It's a small and cozy restaurant that is perfect for a date night or girls night dinner! Excited to add this restaurant to my list of favorites for Italian food downtown.

Marissa M.

Yelp
Management put $75 minimum on for tables for Valentine's Day. Beware that you are required to spend certain amounts after booking your reservation even though it is not disclosed initially. The amount of tables that were surprised around us as well validates this was not communicated well before coming to the restaurant. Food was very mediocre. Carbonara tasted like Lo Mein and the meatball tastes gritty. Better off going to Torchio where the food and atmosphere is way better!
google avatar

Tim O.

Yelp
Large, varied menu with plenty of elevated options for those interested in truffles. It's a shame, baffling, even, that this restaurant isn't mentioned in the same conversation as some of the other high-end Italian restaurants in Chicago.

Phil G.

Yelp
Don't normally leave reviews, but was in last night and the manager (I think) was being harsh to the staff in the middle of the restaurant. It was uncomfortable to watch and very unprofessional. Especially since a few minutes later he was all over the young female patrons. I got a niece their age and I don't like to see that. Won't be back.

Yelp
Cool interior, mediocre food, bad service. Literally didn't even see a waiter for the first 30 mins we were there and they didn't give us a cocktail menu to order drinks. Food itself was overall mediocre - a few hits but mostly not memorable. Burrata and meatball were good, the rest was fine but nothing to write home about. Small portions so order a few. Pastas could use a bit of extra salt to bring out the flavors and were lackluster compared to other Italian places in the city.

Yelp
Cozy and romantic atmosphere. Intimate and candle lit lighting. Delicious food, flexible menu, great service. Definitely not overrated.

Yelp
Great food and ambiance. A bit pricey depending on drinks but for someone like me who likes home cooked family Italian dinner, I would go again

Yelp
Best Italian restaurant in Chicago. If they have the sausage wrapped in bacon and dates as a special don't miss it.

Yelp
Looking for amazing Italian food, and/or a place to celebrate an anniversary? You HAVE to try Prosecco. We mentioned it was our anniversary weekend and they treated us like royalty! A toast of champagne, shots of their limoncello to celebrate, and a sweet note on our dessert. The food is amazing! Homemade fresh pasta, amazing appetizers, decadent desserts from scratch -- you can't go wrong. The service was amazing and helpful, and honestly so kind. Just an amazing experience. We wish we came here for our actual anniversary dinner and we're sad Chicago is 8 hours away, otherwise we'd be here every week. Thank you Prosecco for an amazing dinner.

Yelp
Food was amazing!! Service was a tad slow, but understandable during dinner. Wine was great & food had phenomenal flavors. The portions were large - 2 adults had leftovers in the end.

Yelp
Favorite place for while, food is sometimes amazing sometimes it's good never average! Drink mixes are average most of the time but I'm there for food so it doesn't bother us. We enjoy this restaurant all the time, except yesterday we had dinner outside and our server seems to be judgmental and in some way rude, he was on top of his orders just seems like he is forced to do his job or have no interest to be there. Not the first time we have this server and not the first time we notice this behavior so wanted to point it out, it could be us or it's just him, I'm not sure but that's the only off putting experience we had at Prosecco.

Yelp
Prosecco is a pretty good Italian spot in River North. I do find it to be on the expensive side for what it is but you are also paying for location. Bufala - Good but overpriced. $19 for a mozzarella ball, a few slices of prosciutto and tomatoes. Tartufate - One of their more popular items, solid dish Linguine/clam pasta - This was one of their specials for the day, it was really good, probably my favorite item Nice ambiance for a date night but I think you can get equally as good Italian food on the north side for a better price!

Yelp
Tried Prosecco for the first time and really liked it! I liked the complimentary bread with all the dips/fixin's. For the main entree I tried the salmon and the trofie pasta with chicken (on the specials menu) and both were excellent! The sauce in the pasta was super light but flavorful and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Really happy with my meal. I like their outdoor seating, although there is limited space and you may end up with a wobbly table, and the interior is beautiful as well. I thought their wine by the glass menu was a bit limited, given the namesake, but that's such a minor issue. Overall I recommend!

Yelp
I came here with a small group for restaurant week, as this place has been on my list for a while. The ambiance is beautiful for this smaller river north restaurant, and the service was attentive but extremely slow. I was disappointed that our complimentary prosecco was but a teeny splash. The complimentary bread was tasty with the salsa type spread, but I would have liked olive oil as well. I got the hugo drink, which was very refreshing with my meal. For my first course, I got the insalata della casa, which was tasty and fresh. I tried my boyfriend's meatball, which was delicious. I got the salmon entree from the $48 menu- the salmon itself was delicious and tenderly cooked, but I didn't like the lentils with the dish. My boyfriend's risotto was not good and was salty with little beef in proportion to the rice. For dessert, I got the limoncello, which was way too teeny. My boyfriend's flourless chocolate cake was also teeny but rich and decadent like fudge; but everyone agreed the tiramisu was the best deal. Overall, this place was not worth it for the restaurant week menus. I wouldn't mind coming back for the happy hour deals or trying out a pasta from their regular menu, but the dishes we had on the restaurant week menu were mediocre and not worth the price, ambiance, or service.

Yelp
The Quick: $10 pasta dishes on happy hour! Plus all their Prosecco and drinks are half-off during happy hour... Absolutely go. The Truffle pasta was delicious. The Details: The inside is gorgeous, there's even a large back area for a big group. Very classy and definitely frequency by businesspeople / dates / fun girls night out. The staff is also very knowledgeable about the different drinks, so ask questions and learn something new! PS: don't you jut love the name??? The Damage: I've only been for happy hour but it was extremely reasonable.
