I had been wanting to stop by here for a while now and finally got the chance to this weekend - usually we just do fried chicken in Frankenmuth, but we were staying overnight, so we came here Sunday afternoon for lunch.
First off, they only serve food till 3pm on Sundays ... I did not know that, but luckily we left Bronners at 2pm.
Second, we wanted to do the "make your own charcuterie board" option, and we spent like 15 minutes choosing a selection of meats and cheeses, only to be told that they don't do that on Sundays - you can only select from the preset board choices.
That being said, everything was delicious. We both got wine flights - I got the rose one, and he got the Bold & the Beautiful one (syrahs, etc. - all red wines). My rose one was just okay except "Sex" by L. Mawby, which I've had before, was very good. We started off with the tomato bruschetta, which was fabulous, and then ordered one of the all-prosciutto boards - which was also good, but I wish it included some cheeses. We substituted olives for cornichons, since I hate olives, and it also came with caperberries, which I had never had before ... which are basically olives, haha, so I was not a fan.
We also tried the whipped ricotta and I think that was one of the most delicious cheese dishes I've ever had. It was topped with (raw?) honey and tasted like dessert.
Some negatives: definitely not a cheap place (our bill was $90 before tips), and also, I'm guessing because they have a large outside area, there were a few flies around, even in the bathroom.
That being said, everything was super tasty here so I'd like to come back another time too, hopefully to do one of the make your own boards.
