Awesome restaurant in the heart of The Stockyards. Great selection of food and drink. Service is fast and friendly. Plenty of tables and the bar in an awesome hangout. Upstairs and downstairs seating. Get a table upstairs if you have a choice. Outdoor seating in front. Try the fried green tomatoes. Lots of wonderful cocktails. A must stop while in the area.

The best time. The food is perfect everyone. Atmosphere is always there! Get the steak frites if it’s your first time!!! I got a wedge salad this time with chicken. Delicious!! Get the old fashioned!

Went on a Wednesday and got the $5 nachos to start! Delish! Ordered the chicken fried steak and the greens and mashed potatoes did not disappoint. Favorite dish on the menu along with the shrimp and grits (GF). Grits were perfect consistency and flavorful. Came with big juicy shrimp. Matt was our server and bartender. He is rad! Service was 12/10! He made amazing recommendations. Great atmosphere. They have a to-go bar. Easy and delicious place to go to in the stockyards! We’ll be back!

My husband and I are staying in the stockyards for our 10th anniversary. We came in last night and were so pleased we came back for lunch today. The food is so delicious, but the staff is beyond incredible. We sat at the bar both times. Highest recommendations for service by Matt, Kelly and Cassidy. They make your visit incredible.

our group of six stopped in here after wandering the stockyards for a bit on a lovely wednesday evening and were pleased with our excellent food and quick service, and no wait time for a table! while i cant remember her name, our server was extremely personable and delivered excellent service. if visitors are looking for an excellent cocktail, the espresso martini was easily the best ive had. and if you happen to get fries their ranch for dipping is to die for.

My family and I stopped to eat here. We had the slow smoked rib for 2, the grilled trout and a burger. We did had to wait for about half hour to be seated because it was busy. The smoked rib was delicious. The portion size was great. The trout had very good flavor, not too big of a fan of the black eye peas that came with the trout.

We enjoyed our lunch at Provender Hall! We especially enjoyed the gluten free cornbread! The bread itself wasn't too sweet and the whipped honey butter made it the perfect appetizer! The entrees were solid. The salads were a bit bland, but definitely enjoyable. The service was kind and quick! The atmosphere is very cowboy cozy and provides a great space for a meal. If you're headed here to watch the cattle run, it's just a couple stores down making it a very convenient location! I would be back next time I visit.

Loved Everything About This Restaurant! If you are in town definitely stop by. Service and staff was outstanding. The SLOW SMOKED BEEF RIB are a MUST try but only available for dinner and dont leave without the chocolate sheet cake. ❤️

Really enjoyable time with a chill vibe while letting our feet rest from all the walking! The bartender made from great drinks, from old fashions to my amaretto whiskey sour and the corn bread was so flavorful. We split the steak frites and the chimi on it was the highlight, along with the fries. Appreciate the kitchen for splitting the meal for us! The steak was good but the center was pushing more rare than medium though didn't impact it enough to say anything since it still tasted great (it's just a texture thing for me). Would love to stop in next time we're visiting to try the fried green tomatoes lol!

Arrived in the evening for a reservation upstairs, which apparently closes for seating an hour before the business closes. My reservation was set via the Resy app which didn't note the rule. Disappointing since other reviews mention upstairs to be the prime real estate. The steak was good, the chimichurri was phenomenal and fries were yummy. The draft beer system (CO2 issue) was out of service for the evening so the waiter kindly offered anything in bottles/cans as to not disappoint with a poorly poured draft. The waiter was very friendly and receptive. Between the reserved space not being honored and instead being stashed in the cozy corner (to the right after entering), a couple forgotten requests by the waiter, slow food delivery for a nearly empty seeming establishment with plenty of reservation availability, and limited beer options outside of the few draft options; wouldn't return.

This was a pretty decent experience albeit pricey with fairly small portions. My hushand and I had dinner here after walking around the area and working up an appetite. We were seated without much of a wait which was nice. The ambience is minalmist country which was nice. The menu is fairly small and the prices were pretty high for most items. It definitely felt like the prices were higher here than most places in the area, most likely to the location being the touristy Stockyward. Overall, the pacing of the meal was great, the service was good, but the portions were just too small for the price for my liking. Food was good but nothing spectacular. We ordered banana pudding for dessert and on par with the rest of the food, the portion was small. We didn't mind tho because it tasted odd and neither of us really cared for it. It has an almost metallic taste to it. Anyway, we most likely would pass next time to try something else.

Wife and I ate here after the Christmas parade because every other place was very crowded. We were seated upstairs within a few minutes and our waitress came over immediately to take our drink orders. I ordered a cup of gumbo and it was really bad. The rice was under cooked and there was very little flavor. For entrée I ordered the Steak fritz. I ordered my steak medium and it came med rare and the chimichurri was really bland, it added nothing to the steak flavor. The price was very reasonable and the staggering was very good.

Apologies for the poor quality photos, but an amazing time! Our waiter, Ethan, was so sweet. Made plenty of food suggestions, interchanged our utensils quietly without interrupting our conversations, and even had our meals come portioned for us - we shared two meals. We thought it was so thoughtful and meticulous. The steak frites (we swapped for mashed potato's to be gluten free) were delicious! The chimichurri sauce was amazing on this medium rare steak... so juicy yet so crispy on the outside. The grilled romaine heart salad had bacon, balsamic vinegar, avocado, chicken and pork on it.... GOSH amazing. Thoroughly impressed. 10/10 would go again.

Stopped in on a Sunday event day and did not have a wait. The restaurant is very cute! Our waitress was very pleasant and the food was tasty! Service was slow though -- table check-ins had a good bit of time in between and we had one entree come out way before others which wasn't great.

This was our first hanging out in the Fort Worth Stockyards and we came here to celebrate my kid's 15th birthday. We made reservations at the Provender Hall. It was very easy to make reservations on their website and they even send a reminder email. Free parking is very limited in this area but they have plenty of paid parking. You can pay to park until 2am or overnight. It was an easy walk and there are a lot of restaurants and stores in the facility. We got to the restaurant a little early but we were still seated almost immediately. There is seating upstairs and downstairs. We chose upstairs but learned later they only have bathrooms downstairs. It is a cute vibe, western feel. Our waitress was Fernanda. She was friendly and answered our questions about the menu. I feel like she had a large section to work because for a few requests we had to ask twice. We chose two appetizers, deviled eggs and pork rinds. For our entrees we got the chopped beef sandwich, the turkey club sandwich and the grilled trout with hoppin jack. I also got an adult beverage the spiced pear old fashioned. The deviled eggs were good and I appreciated they were made without meat. My husband loved the pork rinds he thought they were flavored really well. My kid liked her sandwich especially the bacon, my husband thought the chopped beef was just ok, he said it was dry. My trout was cooked perfectly but the plating was not ideal. They had the rice in the middle of the trout and the black eyed peas were underneath. Also the black eyed peas seemed really small but it was good. I would definitely get it again. My drink was amazing, it didn't have a cherry but a sliver of pear. For my daughter's birthday they bought out a piece of chocolate cake with a candle. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would come back if we are in the stockyards.

Great bar with gluten free items clearly labeled. Good drinks I am told. Great frozen margaritas. I got the ribs and it was pricey but good. I was told they are known for steaks but personally I just love ribs

Food: 5* Service: 5* Ambiance: 4* Enjoyed dinner here while staying at the Hotel Drover. The food was good, but limited steak options, which is surprising given the location. However the New York steak was good, great tasting, and rather large in portion size. The baked potatoes were good and with the sides excellent. The salad was well dressed and tasty. The wine was very limited in selection especially if you wanted wine by the glass. The service was great. Friendly, attentive, and helpful. The ambiance was okay. The seats were not comfortable and lounge / cocktail are upstairs was small and oddly appointed.

The stockyards is the place to be! If you're in the area I recommend giving Provender Hall a shot. The restaurant and its layout is really cool and staff is all very friendly. I ordered the Steak Frites, it was really good. I asked for a medium steak and it was cooked perfectly. Fries were good and ordered the cheese grits they were great but wish they were a little bit warmer when served. Stop by you'll enjoy it!

It was later in the evening, so maybe the kitchen was ready to call it a wrap...the deviled eggs were just meh, chicken fried steak (which was recommended by our server) was tiny and left something to be desired, the mashed potatoes were bland, and the greens were just ok. I will say the staff was super friendly, and the spot is a great location, plenty of space and great to pop in a break from the busy traffic on Exchange St. The redemptions were the pimento dip- so good, the espresso martini, and I'd definitely go for the steak and frites!

First of all, I highly recommend a reservation. We got there early with a reservation and it was busy but not bad but as we left, they were telling people 2 hour wait . Our waitress, Sierra. was wonderful. Answered all our questions and kept drinks refilled. My trout was absolutely amazing. I loved it. My husband had the chicken fried steak and he said it was just OK. I tried the Paloma and it was refreshing. My husband was disappointed in the size of his margarita. It was The same size as his whiskey drink - a short glass. He was expecting one the size of my Paloma. I would definitely go back but I'll have to talk my husband into it. This place was hopping on a beautiful Saturday night. I will say we sat upstairs and it is not quiet when it gets full. Despite that we enjoyed it. Can't do much about the high ceilings and brick exterior it's part of the charm

YES- drinks here NO- food here I live close by and I keep trying to Make Provender Hall Happen bc the location and vibe is so cool, but I've been disappointed in the food every time. Heavy, sad representation of Southern food. Drop by for a drink and to see the interior on your way to Lonesome Dove or Los Vaqueros for a meal.

I went here with my family on a busy Saturday afternoon and the service was quick, the food was tasty, and the staff was very friendly. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and the drinks were delicious. We tried the steak fries, the smash burger, espresso martini, and the lemon drop. Everything came out cooked to perfection! I would recommend making a reservation because of how it busy it gets. We were seated immediately because we had a reservation, but walk-ins were expected to wait about 20-30 minutes and some people didn't like that. Overall, I'd come here again. Highly recommend if you're visiting the stockyards!

I always love coming here when I visit the Stockyards. Such a great vibe from the industrial decor to the friendly atmosphere. I got the brisket on potatoes again and it seemed different this time around. Not sure why, but I still finished it. My boyfriend got the fish and chips which he really enjoyed, especially the tartar sauce, but felt it was way overpriced for the small amount of fish that you get. Not sure if we'll get that again. On my first time here, I had the provender burger which was good, in case you're in the mood for that. Definitely still one of my favorite spots. Make sure to stop by for brunch or lunch or dinner if you happen to be at the Stockyards.

Great restaurant in the Stockyards. I've been here a few times for dinner and it never disappoints. It's comfort food at its finest. The pimento cheese is delicious and a nice starter with some wine and I also recommend the deviled eggs. Delish! The portions are on the larger side so it's a great way to get a few dishes to share if that's your thing. The shrimp and grits were top notch and I would come back here just for that. Service is always excellent. I recommend reservations since it's the Stockyards and this restaurant is popular. They have a nice bar area too if you just want to hop in for a drink. It's a large restaurant with an upstairs dining area as well.

Great service and great cocktails. The burger and fries are outstanding, but everything else is just OK. We were there on a Saturday around 11 am so they only jad brunch and the menu was limited. My husband ordered a medium steak and eggs fried medium, both arrived very well done. He's not a complainer so when he reluctantly shared with our server (who was amazing and helpful before this) just so that she could have the kitchen be mindful with future guests, she notified the manager who apologized and removed the meal. The service was so great that we hated mentioning the issue but wanted them to know so that no one dinged them too badly for it. If we return, we will probably try their oysters and do a dinnertime seating. If you go, get the pork skins, burger, and the Gold Rush cocktail. YUM!

Went and got a salad to-go from this place before the rodeo. Went to meet up with the rest of my family at another location to eat. When I opened my box up I was incredibly surprised to see such a small amount of iceberg lettuce and toppings. Not to mention they FORGOT to give me any salad dressing. This cost $15.00 before taxes and tip for dry lettuce.

They need a serious overall from ground up. I spoke with a manager at our visit so I won't get into all the details but I will tell you don't order the $16 burger that is a huge disappointment for value and quality.

The vibe at this place is fantastic. Lots of fun seating areas all throughout the restaurant too. I got deviled eggs as an appetizer which were so yummy and perfectly seasoned. Also for the fried okra and wow. They were full size okra which is different but buttery and perfect. Then I got the chicken fried steak. All just so good! Great beverage list too if that's your thing. The service was good. Maybe could check in more but still good. They did have empty tables even though the reservations were solid so still stop by!

Had high hopes for this restaurant since it had decent ratings. Deviled eggs tasted old, queso was yellow from a can, chicken tenders had weird breading, smoked turkey sandwich was inedible and we got it comped, my smoked chicken salad was bizarre, such odd dry chicken do not recommend. Don't recommend eating here as the food quality doesn't match the cost.

Service was good but should've read the reviews before ordering the chicken fried steak. It was lacking flavor and was like they took a hamburger patty, smashed it super thin and breaded and fried it. Definitely not what one would expect in Texas by the Stockyards. The collard greens were better than the chicken fried steak.

The food was good!! There were a ton of negative reviews so we were worried. Flat iron steak with chimichurry sauce was legit. Steak cooked perfectly. Fries are solid and the service was great. And we are picky!! Our server, Javel, was knowledgeable about the area and gave suggestions on the menu and she was spot on!!! We will be coming back! Thanks for making a good note on our 20 year anniversary!

We showed up to the stockyards for lunch and WHEW there were lines out every door. It seemed like we hit the cheat code with this place, it opened a little later so we happened upon it at open and snuck a bar seat pretty easily. This place is really unique and cool, especially for the area. We walked into a couple musty pubs that are VERY fitting for the area, but not for us. This spot is open, airy, and clean. Whoever designed it did a great job. Sitting at the bar was great - service was fantastic. Drinks and food came out super quick. I got the romaine salad which was tasty. The chicken was smoked and had pretty good flavor. They did really overdress it, it was good but probably not great if you want to bring it home as the lettuce would be wilty. My husband got the burger and it was fantastic. The fries stole the show, crispy and delicious. We had a great experience and would absolutely recommend to those visiting the stockyard. It's not going to be a traditional stockyard meal but so good.

Cool space with great food and nice cocktail selection. I hosted a private event here and they let me bring in a cattle roper to perform as we sipped our ranch waters. Cool vibes

This is my second time and second review of this place. This time it was amazing the my waitress Javel was very attentive unlike the waiter I had last time. The food was also amazing which wasn't a problem last time. Thanks for improving! Love the outdoor area and watching all the traffic of Stockyards

Food was great!!! Deviled eggs and the 2 person rib that could have fed 4!! Service was amazing!! Drinks were fab and we went early and it felt like we were the only ones in the Resturant! Definitely great for date night!

Dinner last night. Our server was great but the kitchen did not excel. Crispy chicken salad had two missing elements. The turkey club was mainly bread, one piece of bacon and the turkey was so salty as to be inedible. The fries were generously provided but soggy. The drinks were the only highlight of the night. Underwhelming.

If i could give zero stars, I would. My experience went from bad to worse within a few minutes. Drinks, terrible. Service, terrible. They were out of so many items on a Saturday night. Do yourself a favor, skip this spot and find something better.

Food was amazingly big on taste flavors and garnished to perfect presentation in it's simplicity yet all the items seemed to be paired perfectly mixing in the pallet, while the service was Southernly Texas and the ambience was clean neat and cool smoked on a hot Stockyard day. God Blessed Texas!!!

This restaurant was available when we couldn't get a table where we had planned to dine. We decided to sit at the bar for dinner. The bartender was super kind and helpful. The food was good, but not great. My husband said the fish was over battered. The grits on my dish were bland. The shrimp was more boiled and also bland. Everything looked great though and the restaurants was clean/nice. :) 4 stars for the bartender. I shan't return.

Sierra was awesome! It was happy hour and she let me taste my Pinot Grigio and it was great! For $5 I'm so happy! Alongside our liquor happy hour (ranch water and old fashions) drinks at this place is so reasonable We got the pimento cheese- freaking to die for, smokey, homemade and made with tasty cheddar cheese! We got the deviled eggs and they were super tastey but also had a bit of sweetness to it that I personally don't love but they were well seasoned and maybe if it was a sweet heat I would've loved em! The crispy chicken salad was split before it came to us which was such an awesome, thoughtful touch in the service! Sierra did such a great job checking on us and making sure we were well taken care of! Everything was so cute form the decor to the great tasting food and the good selection of $5 happy hour wine! The old fashion and the ranch water, both tasty and made well. The smash burger was FANTASTIC the chef is someone who appreciates seasoning and the flavors were THERE!! Bomb burger!! Highly recommend, would come back again and can't wait to try to corn bread and the chicken fried steak! Between the ambience, happy hour and good ass good that tasted scratch made this is a great place when they do it right! Very happy with our random stop at the stockyards

Wanted to grab an ice cold drink, mom had a tall beer while I had an old fashion, the old fashion wasn't strong at all however it was a nice sip and stop. Nice seating outside view, people watching we call it.

Oooh- this is a must go when visiting the stockyards especially on a hot summer 100 degree day like when I went. There are many restaurants around however I believe you'll be able to find a table here more easily compared to other places. It has an urban/industrial/Texan vibe- super nice! You have outside patio seating, first floor seating which is where I was seated, and an upper floor/balcony seating which is super cool- like a lounge slash loft- a live performer was singing and it was really nice to listen to in the background while me and my party ate. The food here is pricey so be ready- a chicken fried steak which wasn't huge was 22$. But the quality of the food was good and I'd rather pay more for food and enjoy it than pay slightly less and hate the food. Our server was very nice and patient and when I asked for something to make my drink sweeter she brought 3 sweetener options which I was so grateful and appreciate for. I got Anything For Selena's cocktail which I recommend for sweeter drink appreciaters like myself. Overall I had a wonderful time and would come back again!

Visited for dinner on a Saturday night. Made reservations ahead of time to secure a table. Had a dozen oysters, the romaine wedge salad and steak frites (substituted fries for mashed potatoes). Everything was amazing. The oysters were a perfect size. The salad had a unique smoky flavor unlike anything I've ever had. The mashed potatoes were fluffy (but I thought the portion was small). Overall great service and great food. Sat upstairs and the room was a little loud, couldn't hear any music playing so definitely not a very intimate location if that's what you're looking for.

Late lunch on a long holiday weekend. Seated in the spacious upstairs area, also seating outside and first floor. Charles from Lake Charles did a great job and recommended a few items. We enjoyed oysters, and each had a different salad. My grilled romaine with smoked chicken was very flavorful but I wish the chicken was a little more moist. Mango margarita was frozen and hit the spot as did the watermelon ranch water. The deviled eggs we ordered never got put in, but he brought us a complimentary order to share with our salads. Overall the service took a bit of time but we all agreed we would go back again.

Provender Hall was just down the middle for me. It was a busy rodeo weekend Saturday in Ft. Worth and after a day of shopping in the stockyards area, we decided to grab a quick bite before heading to the rodeo. We didn't have a reservation, which I would recommend, but were seated at a table after promising we would eat quickly and free the table up for a reservation in just a little over an hour. The service was pleasant, but they were busy, so definitely a bit slow. I tried some of the skillet cornbread. It was good, but not great. I ate the steak salad, which was a bit overpriced ($30) in my opinion. The flavors did blend well together, but it was your traditional steak salad ingredients of greens, corn, red onions as well as cucumber and feta. Certainly a good spot to consider if you're in the stockyards area, and I imagine on a less busy weekend, that the experience would be on the whole a bit more of a comfort-food-like scenario.

Soggy fries ..more flavorful burgers at fast food places, tasteless iced tea. all for high prices ...steer (haha) clear. Really...skip it.

The food is always amazing and the ambiance is great. It's a really cool location . Service is usually a solid B plus- when they're busy. An A+ when they're not.

I've been meaning to check out Provender Hall and Clay Pigeon as I had heard wonderful things about chef Marcus Paslay and enjoy supporting local. Started out with a reservation to let them know ahead of time that we'd be coming for dinner. Valet was convenient and we were greeted at the door and seated almost immediately on the second floor. One thing I noticed upon being seated was that we had no silverware. It was a busy Saturday night, we could visibly see the other severs hustling to put together silverware and napkins for the guests. Our server Matt came by and took our drink orders and we also ordered a cornbread appetizer to start. The cornbread came out almost immediately by a food runner. Our drinks and silverware were no where to be found. After about 15 minutes, Matt came by and realized we needed some attention. He brought out a new appetizer as well as silverware. He also had the bar make our drinks. He apologized for the chaotic start, but was more attentive after that. This was not really Matt's fault as he also had a 15+ person table that he appeared to be working solo. Poor decisions on the floor managers behalf. I've had experience working in a restaurant and this seemed like a chaotic time for everyone involved. Drinks included a PH Old Fashioned, La Pinata, and Prairie Frappe. I'd recommend the La Piñata again. I ordered the steak frites. The chimichurri sauce on the steak was perfection and left me wanting more. My spouse ordered the shrimp and grits. The blend of spice and grits was soooo good. Both were excellent. Chef Paslay knows what he's doing in the kitchen -- unfortunately the rest of the experience took away from that. The vibe seemed to want to be upscale, but with concrete walls and floors, everything is loud and echoes can be heard throughout the restaurant. If you're looking for an intimate dinner or are wanting to celebrate and expect to have a conversation at your table without shouting, plan on coming here for lunch. Overall, I'd give the following ratings: Food: 5 Service: 3 Ambiance: 3

If you're looking for a great brunch in the Stockyards, look no further. A charming location and layout, delicious menu, great cocktail situation. The service was also great. I definitely recommend them for a less touristy experience in that area.

Service was atrocious- we stood at the takeout drink bar for over 15 min without service so we moved along but later came back to sit at the bar and eat. We were not acknowledged for 20 min and then had to ask to order and ask to get the check because no one checked in at all. Food was overpriced and nothing special. Inappropriate language was heard being used in front of us from staff.

Great food! Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Very cool place. And it's in the middle of a lot of stockyards shopping and activities.

This is a nice find in Cowtown on Exchange street. Definitely a nice change from the usual BBQ or steak houses in the area. They used to have a venison tartar app that certainly got our attention and was unusual for DFW but excellent. We ate at the bar next to two cowboys and had a great time. The next time we came back, we reserved a table. The ambiance upstairs was nice. I had steak and frites which had a good steak, tender and cooked to order. Good food and drinks and we'll go back for sure.

We came to celebrate some milestones in my career and, unfortunately, we had a lackluster experience. We were quickly greeted and sat at a table on the second floor. Waters came out and drinks ordered without an issue. Then the troubles started. There was a delay getting our drinks after ordering them and then one of our drinks was incorrect, but not knowing how much longer it'd take for the drink to come out, we made do without it since we wanted to make a toast to celebrate. It was odd to have two different waiters, so we placed our food orders with a different waiter. The appetizers were good, we enjoyed cornbread and the pimento spread. Good thing we had cornbread since there were definitely not enough crackers. Our table got the chicken fried steak, which wasn't anything special. I think the frying could have done with less oil or leaving it out on a wire rack or something since the bottom was a bit oil laden. The gravy wasn't special, wish it had that cracked black pepper. It took some time, but we finally were able to flag down a waiter for salt and pepper, which was desperately lacking in everything. Our sides were unfortunately forgotten and we had finished about half the meal before another waiter stopped by to ask how the meal was, which when we mentioned the forgotten sides, he blamed it on the kitchen back up, which was interesting given the sheer emptiness of the restaurant. Another waiter came back later with the sides, stating he forgot to put it in the order, so he kindly comped the sides. All in all, wish we chose another place for the celebratory meal.

We went last week before a concert at Billy Bobs and chose based on menu and ability for reservations. We were sat right away which was great! Price of the drinks compared to what we received was not good. Whiskey sour was sadly mostly ice for $12. Food was good but nothing spectacular sadly. Service was not good at all. We waited for everything and our server never came back to run our cards luckily we had cash and we paid and left. Cool atmosphere and that's the best part!

Well, this is located in a pretty touristy area of Fort Worth at the Stockyards, so you just never know with restaurants in highly trafficked areas. But we were pleasantly surprised! The food, the service, the aesthetic inside, it didn't feel like you were in some quickly thrown together touristy spot. The food was delicious, our server was very attentive and friendly!

Lovely people watching on the patio and great service from Charles from Lake Charles! Ha. The food can be a little hit or miss but the cocktails here are outrageously good! You can order an alcoholic beverage to go and walk around and enjoy it at The Stockyards. Highly recommend you check them out.

Industrial decor makes it feel cold. TV at bar. Food not good at all. Over priced and wait staff inattentive. Maybe better if you're downstairs just getting a drink but not worth getting food there.
