Provision Dining House - Review - The Triangle - Austin - The Infatuation

"The New American restaurant Provision Dining House originally opened in October 2019 on Braker Lane in North Austin only to close in June 2020. Like a restaurant phoenix, Provision has risen from the ashes and reopened in the Triangle in a space previously occupied by a Maudie’s. On the menu you will find things like a burger, a farro bowl, a rotisserie half chicken, and short rib ragout. On Fridays and Saturdays they serve a Midwest-style prime rib with a baked potato and horseradish cream sauce." - Raphael Brion

Provision has a lot of good and also room to be great. Almost everything I tried was excellent. The ragout and chicken and mac’n’cheese and deviled eggs were outstanding. My mezcal cocktail was also tasty. Where the spot falls short is its space and some of the execution. One of my friend’s whiskey sours came with no sour mix or syrup after a fifteen minute wait when the restaurant was nearly empty. The sandwiches others at the table ordered were underwhelming and went unfinished. Wait staff was polite and friendly but inexperienced. And the space itself feels unfinished, very much like a former retail space turned into a restaurant. That’s not a problem in and of itself, of course, but at $25-35 a plate (or more) the environment of boxy booths and small tables in a plain, cavernous interior split by an odd, free standing wall does not match its aspirations. All to say that there’s a lot to like about the food but the overall experience falls short of what it could be.

Google
Mussel pot had a lot of sauce that was great to scoop up and devour from the mussels. There will be extra beer shallot and buttery sauce, so ask for some more baguette. Slow roasted pork with kale underneath was greatly paired. The pork was moist and slightly crunchy. Desert smoke had a nice smoky flavor because of the mezcal and the ancho had a nice bite of spice. Mostly everything from the eats to the alcohol treats were from scratch.

Stumbled upon this new gastropub restaurant for a Saturday night dinner with my husband. As soon as we walked in we were impressed with the entire atmosphere - the decor and layout of the space gave us a warm casual feeling. We were greeted by our lovely server, Lani, who was amazing the entire dining experience. We started the evening with some of their cocktails, a Limoncello Mule and Watermelon Smash - thirst quenching! We ordered the Crab Puff appetizer along with our main meals, Braised Short Rib Ragout and Steak Sandwich. Everything was so delicious and packed with flavor. We recommend this place to any fellow gastropub lovers!

Google
My partner and I really enjoyed our dinner here. Service was a bit slow at first, but we arrived to a fairly busy restaurant on President's Day evening, just as a large tasting group was sitting down, so the longer wait times were understandable. We caught the end of happy hour and enjoyed some delicious $2 off CBD cocktails, and $2 off crab puffs and the mussel pot. Both appetizers were delicious; the crusty charred bread that came with the mussels was fantastic dipped in the leftover butter/sauce. For entrees, I got the crab mac & cheese which was great–some good chunks of crab meat. My partner got the short rib ragout which was tender and delicious. We ended with a layered chocolate cake with raspberry sauce that was divine. Really glad we decided to try this place, we'll definitely be back, especially for the patio vibes.

Google
First time trying this place! It was a good experience. Food was good, waitress was very attentive! We had a good time. Their menu is limited, but everything we ordered was delicious. Will come back again!

Google
Did a company dinner here. Great service, nice atmosphere. Fried chicken sliders got the most raves. Short rib ragout was also very tasty. Deviled eggs were beautifully presented, but won't get again. Too much of something - maybe mustard.

Google
Wow! This place has a great vibe and the food was yummy. We got the sandwich shop... insane amount of food! 16 sliders, Mac and cheese, salad, fries and deviled eggs!

Google
Nice brunch. I wish they had some brunch drink specials, but the Bloody Mary was good and the Scotch egg, while perhaps more aptly called an Scotch-Italian Egg was also nice.

Yelp
Newer restaurant with lots of classics and good cocktails, but ambiance is very basic and price point is high for what it is. Came here with friends on a Friday evening for dinner. Ordered the Wagons East and Oregon Trail cocktails- both were excellent (tasted somewhere between a sazarac and a Manhattan). I think the drinks were a highlight of the night. There's also a wide selection of beers, less so wines. The food was hit and miss- the Mac n cheese was nothing special (I probably would recommend skipping it) but the burger and fried chicken sandwich were delicious. Their French fries were very tasty sides to both those entrees- well seasoned and crispy. The biggest disconnect with my experience was the ambiance. The inside of the restaurant feels sparse and very casual given the price point. The Mac n cheese ended up being $22 with $12+ drinks - for that price point there are other restaurants offering a much better ambiance. Also noticed in the ladies room a stall was missing a lock, and some dispensers seemed broken. It feels like they didn't have the time to finish fixing up the place. Overall theres a lot of good things here but a lot to be improved.

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch and it was super good! Highlights are the atmosphere, nice staff, veggie migas, mini stack of pancakes, and the biscuits & gravy! The coffee came in a french press which was nice. The cinnamon roll missed the mark, my friend said it was hard and thought it was made the day before...to much icing too. The potatoes were crispy but pretty greasy. Overall the staff is super nice and welcoming and I'm glad reopened. The service was a little slow at times though.

Yelp
We decided to try the new location, and our experience was less than stellar. The hostess and our server were friendly and welcoming, but it took nearly 30 minutes for my martini to arrive, and the bacon in my BLT was slices of fatty pork belly which was essentially inedible. Overall it wasn't the best experience.

Yelp
Everything we tried on the menu was phenomenal! JC was our server and he was very knowledgeable and timed everything great. We came in at 7 on a Friday night, and the kitchen wasn't delayed at all. We got the margarita and the alcoholic espresso martini (which is offered no-proof) which were really good! I thought the martini was a little sweet for my taste but overall very good. The quesadilla was so good, the flavor was very well balanced and the aioli was the perfect compliment. The farro bowl was a favorite! My dad is vegetarian so he didn't add a protein to it but it's very easy add on if you wanted. The food went above and beyond and were well worth the price point! Not to be dramatic but I also went back two days later for brunch, and wowza might have been my favorite menu! I tried to salmon toast and the prime rib eggs Benedict. I also got to taste the prime rib hash and the cinnamon roll. The salmon toast was so good with the Fresno pepper it had a good spice. The eggs Benedict came with a tart arugula on the side which complimented very well. The cinnamon roll was delicious, it wasn't too sweet and the cream cheese icing helped cut the sweetness. The hash had the Fresno peppers and sun dried tomatoes, making it a very complex flavor profile that we all enjoyed.

Yelp
I really enjoy the food at Provision and the ambiance is gorgeous! The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because both times I've been there, there wasn't someone at the host desk to greet us and it took awhile for someone to acknowledge us. What I've eaten: Deviled eggs - love their version of it. The hot sauce is on the side and the pickled veggies are a perfect addition to each bite. Spread and Co. Charcuterie Board - they always have a great selection of cheese and meat. My only gripe with it was that it was served on a plate and not a board. Would have looked better on a board. And it says board on the menu. Fried Chicken Sandwich - WOW, it's huge. Crispy. Really good batter on the chicken. And eat the fries! Overall, Provision is a nice addition to north austin and the perfect spot for lunch, happy hour, dinner or even an event.

Yelp
This was our first time and it hits all the marks for us. Food was far better than expected and noteworthy for rotisserie & house made brioche breads (dinner rolls, hamburger buns). Good place for kids: nice kids menu, quality of food and crayons with a playground 10 feet away from outdoor patio.

Yelp
This is definitely a great addition to the area, but there is still some room for improvement. Starting with the positives, the space is really well done. I visited the former establishment last year, and it's impressive to see how different and upscale the space looks now. It certainly provides an entirely different, more upscale and intimate vibe that would be perfect for date nights. Also, I found service to be very good and enthusiastic. A few of the misses include things you'd expect from a brand new restaurant. They have happy hour specials, but no actual menu. Our server impressively recited the long list of specials, but I did have to ask her to repeat a few times to keep track. The food was generally good, with the deviled eggs being my favorite and the crab mac and cheese was perfectly fine. We also ordered the lemon garlic kale, which I found a little too heavy on the lemon. The torta pibil tasted ok, but I found the texture of the entire to be a little too mushy. This place has a lot of potential, so I do plan on coming back when they're a bit more established.

Yelp
Finally something good at the Triangle!! We ate here last night for the first time. The food was excellent. I ordered prime rib - delicious. The wife ordered rotisserie chicken - also delicious. The fries were amazing! I live in Hyde Park and have been hoping that something good would finally open here after so many failed restaurants and dormant spaces. I really hope this one has staying power. My only complaint is that the acoustics inside aren't great which was also a problem at Maudie's. I take it back... my second complaint is that the host / waiter kept calling me "boss" which is super annoying and something my wife definitely found kinda sexist. I heard him call a man at a table next to me the same thing. He didn't mean any harm but maybe he'll read this and reconsider using the moniker in the future :)

Yelp
Think they are onto something, if 3.5stars was possible that's what I would have given as they are not quite 4 star or 5star. Maybe with some tweaking they will get there. Way prefer this interior to the predecessor, personal preferences. It's modern yet comfy. I like bright over dim so worked for me. Our service was great, even with a trainee. The deviled eggs were very tasty and plating very pretty. The bump in stars came from 2 over dressed salads. Both of them not finished, we did let them know that it was way over dressed, clawing. Funnily one of the ladies who asked for our feedback promptly told us it should only be 2oz of dressing. That's 2 Tbls/56ml of dressing on our salads that were nice size but not enough to host that's much. Next time will ask for dressing on side cause really the components of the dressing were yum. Potatoes were divine, super crunch with a herb dressing. Also the pot de creme was delish, enough for 4.

Yelp
It's next to Lifetime (the old Pure Austin) so you can smell all the yummy things when you're swimming. Almost everything we've had here has been really good, from the deviled eggs to the ribeye to the short rib ragout to the burger and the shrimp and grits. One exception - the fries (pic attached) that come with the burgers etc - they have this thick crunchy outside which hides what should be a creamy inside. Worst fries ever. We came here Saturday night and service was slow, drinks were slow to get refilled and we sat a long time between appetizers and our main courses. They must have been understaffed, the servers were all really busy. We returned Monday night and it was less crowded, service was great. It's nice to have a decent restaurant nearby that doesn't feel stuffy but has great food and isn't in the Domain. P.S. No ciders...

Yelp
Amazing food and ambiance! I love the interior design, seats are comfy, restaurant is spacious, and staff is friendly! The menu items all sound delicious, I wished I had enough belly room to order everything - we settled on the mussels, crab puffs, lollipop wings, and ribeye steak. All items were exquisite with my personal favorite, the mussels - the sauce was rich and was a perfect ending to the dish with the bread. The lollipop had a spicy kick to it, crab puffs were stuffed with crab, the ribeye was tender, and the accompany potatoes cubes were delicious(although a tad bit salty). I can't wait to be back for another meal, and perhaps enjoy their patio that opens up inside.

Yelp
We came in for a late lunch on a weekday. I was excited to see how the space was renovated since it used to home Red's Porch. The space is very simple and modern with a darker color scheme. I ordered the Short Rib Ragout which had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The dish also had a perfect balance of meat to pasta. My friend ordered the Crab Mac N Cheese which came in a small cast iron bowl. It smelled a little fishy at first, but it tasted fresh and again, a perfect ratio of crab meat to noodles. The service was attentive but not overkill. Definitely want to return and try more dishes!

Yelp
My favorite new hot spot in The Triangle. We tried the delicious filet mignon and mashed potato paired with the best Pinot noir. Definitely try it if you're in the area!

Yelp
5-star upgrade from the previous tenant Red's Porch. Red's was OK but IMHO Provision has hit a grand slam homerun! We arrived on a lazy afternoon that just happen to be National Margherita day. Sidebar: Is it me or is there a National Margy day every 4 weeks or so? If you have been to this locale before you will immediately notice that the remodel has provided a more warming atmosphere. Whether you sit at the bar or outside on their patio you have a nice view of the quarry/pond. We started with cocktails and there is quite an eclectic variety of handcrafted cocktails to choose from. Their Anejo Sazerac made with Don Julio, absinthe, & bitters is a nice refreshing change from your typical sour mix Margy. I went with an old fashioned and upgraded to top-shelf rye. It was truly in the top 5 of the best old fashioned (lite on the bitters). They do have an extensive high-end alcohol list so you can easily upgrade any cocktail. Speaking of drinks there is a limited but good wine list and ask what they pouring from their rotating drafts as their are some interesting choices locally and left coast. There is a HH Mon-Fri 4-7 PM. Plus one ordered their beer brined twice-fried lollipop wings. This comes with a healthy portion of their house-made blue cheese dressing. they were quickly devoured. I ordered their PEI mussel pot. This is listed as a snack but it is a meal. The broth base is Blue Moon wheat beer and cream. It is sweet but not overpowering. This "snack" is accompanied by a grilled baguette that was perfect for dipping. I tore through those mussels and merrily dipped my baguette for dessert (LOL). Lastly, service at the bar was personable and professional. I would recommend reservations if you are planning a dinner visit. Provision goes right into our rotation.

Yelp
Provision is an excellent bar for those of us beyond our twenties which happens to serve very good food. Naturally younger adults are welcome. My observation was a more mature crowd. Nothing is inexpensive at Provision although, the prices shouldn't scare anyone away. There are several big screen television spread around showing sports. A very cool atmosphere exists with high ceilings, good lighting, comfortable chairs, glossy wooden tables and booth seats. I enjoyed my burger and fries. Sometimes I simply feel like having a burger and with the exception of a Whataburger I stay away from fast food burgers. My only negative was simply having an inexperienced waitress who had just started and obviously had not waited tables before. It all worked out in the end.

Yelp
I invited 3 friends to Provision for happy hour on a Monday. I think the happy hour prices are fair, there are plenty of TVs and large projector they'll roll down for big games, the decor is very modern chic, the menu items were generally good for high-end bar food, and there's a nice patio for whenever the weather's nice - or Provision feels like turning on the heaters. I ordered the lollipop wings which were surprisingly cooked to my preferred level of crispiness. However, if you like ranch you can go to hell because this is a blue cheese establishment! The buffalo flavor had a little bit of heat to them, but it wasn't a sauce that I thought was "to-die-for". I also ordered the deviled eggs which were really good. This item comes with giardiniera, but I think it would be sort of cool to see how the dish might come out if the giardiniera was mixed in with the whipped yolk... food for thought. Things I didn't care for: The restaurant can get very cold due to the draft from the front door, the concrete floors, and the fact that the fans are turned on when the temperature is 50 degrees outside. The low-chairs look very nice, but they're actually uncomfortable for anyone with a plus-size ass (yours truly). If you want to split the check, good luck! They use those handheld POS systems that the server brings to the table which just makes things more difficult in my opinion. Overall, it's a nice location that's close to my office. I hope to come back again soon!

Yelp
Made a reservation for dinner for two. When we arrived seemed like our table was given away we had to wait for a table to be set up. Our waiter was great. Scotch egg was good. I like that they had mocktails. Husband had the short rub ragu. It was good. Here is where the low rating comes in. I ordered the pan seared halibut the front part was good but the center was raw and still pink. Our waiter let the kitchen know. When we got the bill we werent given a discount. Which was very dissapointing since i could only eat a few bites of my fish. Now im home nursing a tummy ache i did eat some of the undercooked fish by accident. Our waiter was great. Im assuming it was out of his hands since he already showed the kitchen my plate. I was really excited for this place but paying full price for undercooked fish and they knew about it is a no go for me.

Yelp
The old Red's Porch is reborn with the name of a strip mall eye doctors office. I stopped in for lunch today, sat at the bar and was quickly served. I got the fried chicken sliders with a side of fries. Everything was very tasty and I had to push the plate away to stop from eating all the fries, they were that perfect crispy kind and so good. This spot is close to work and is smart to have their chimney directing delicious smoke towards the gym. I bet they get a lot of traffic from that. I'll be back, seems like a cool spot.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Provision when we went pre-covid for dinner and were so excited to have them in the neighborhood. The service and food was excellent, and they have one of the best cocktail lists in Austin. I've been waiting for them to open again for to-go orders, and today we finally ordered brunch to-go and it definitely lived up to our expectations! Called to place our order and it was ready in 20 minutes. The process was quick and easy, and I feel like they are handing everything with the utmost care! We ordered the chicken fried sliders, steak Benedict, and the bananas foster French toast. Everything was packaged perfectly and in a way where the food tasted fresh and delicious, and definitely wasn't soggy, even the French toast! I am very impressed with Provision and am so excited to have such a high quality restaurant up north.

Yelp
We went here last Friday night. Lovely place for a date, so kudos to them on the open and modern design. Front reception area was well organized, though we had to sit at the bar due to a full house. They've got some initial supporters so good on them. We ended up ordering the crab puffs as an appetizer, which was a big disappointment. It was essentially bread balls with a tiny bit of crab. I shared my thoughts with the manager (?) who perhaps didn't agree. I'd be curious to know if anyone actually thinks it's good here. For dinner, my wife got the short rib ragout, which I think was a B+. Would definitely recommend. Pasta perfectly cooked and meat was well prepared. I got the ribeye steak which I'd give a C at best. It's wildly disappointing. More medium than medium rare. Not sure if it was prime grade. Definitely don't think it was aged. With that being said, I only mention these things because at $45, the steak can get compared with those from other popular steakhouses in town. The green/herb sauce was good, but steak needed more seasoning. Paired wine was nice, though the cab I wanted ran out (so I got the Tempranillo). The bartenders who served us were pleasant. Unfortunately, my food after the appetizer took 45 minutes to get to us. I'm not completely sure, but my impression was that the food was forgotten in the back (bartender said there was a miscommunication to which I didn't press further). Additionally, wife's pasta was cool. Overall, it's a nice place. And I appreciate the comp on the crab puff after I shared my thoughts. I heard they've just opened but it's clear a lot of folks like it on Yelp. For now, I'll probably stick with my other go to spots, but hope they continue to improve. The spot has potential.

Yelp
Made reservations for a Sat eve at 6:30 but not needed. Giant TV's everywherr. I wasn't expecting a sports bar, but there we were. My one friend liked it, tho. Had the deviled eggs- good but very Salty. Only one Chardonnay on the menu. Lollipop Wings were terrific! Not too hot but with a bang. Liked the crackerjack, too. Burger was good and Petite Filet was done as requested. Just not a fan of the decor. Waitstaff was lovely and aimed to please.

Yelp
Came here this evening to grab drinks as well as some apps and dinner with my usual girl group. First off as per always the inside flip of this restaurant from reds pizza porch to this sophisticated restaurant was a really beautiful change! It kind of reminds me of an old school vintage like bar/elegant vintagesque (I made that word up) space with wood paneling and gorgeous hints of turquoise and velvety rich tones infusing themselves into the restaurant decor. There's a variety of inventive cocktails that are light and refreshing on the menu as well as some mock tails for those doing a dry New Years resolution or who don't want alcohol. The table all ordered the crab puffs, deviled eggs, and mussel pot to start off with. I think the general consensus was that the mussel pot was everyone's favorite, the rich buttery sauce that the mussels were cooked in was rich and delicious! You can do no wrong with a good buttery sauce! The salad I got for myself with added steak was fulfilling and had wonderful flavors. The whipped ricotta with honey and grapefruit was a nice touch to a salad and I left fulll and satiated. On top of that Jesse our server was super helpful and patient with our crazy girl group, kudos to him! I'll be back to try more, so glad that north Austin is diversifying it's cuisine! I hope this spot stays around for a long time.

Yelp
Thumbs up for the comfortable chairs!!! Love that I could eat in comfort. We were looking forward to the oysters, but they ran out. It was a special? We ordered the mussels for appetizer instead. They come with two thick slices of crispy toasts that you can soak up the buttery sauce with. I tried the baked chicken dish with mashed potatoes & tomatoes; the meat was very creamy and tender. The bone in ribeye was perfect. Done in medium-rare, you can't go wrong with this dish plus the crispy potato cubes if you are a simple meat and potatoes individual like me. The ambiance is nice: Spacious and not cluttered. Since it was on a Tuesday night, light music playing, the acoustic was not bad at all. I could have a decent conversation with people.

Yelp
Great brunch! Pineapple mimosa, biscuits & gravy and their French Press coffee was phenomenal.

Yelp
There was only one person on wait staff. We got our sodas and didn't see the waiter for a while despite the fact that the restaurant was not visibly busy and it wasn't during peak hours. Menu is limited and staff is not attentive. We ended up leaving. Best to Avoid. There's LOTS better in this area.

Yelp
Went there for brunch this morning. Went during the golden hour (right when they open) so no wait and got a patio table in front of the fan. The server was beyond friendly and so helpful! We ordered a salmon toast and prime rib hash. Both were amazing. Would definitely recommend coming back and can't wait to try more dishes!

Yelp
Huge fan! Love the happy hour specials here and the ambiance. I was able to bring my laptop and work during happy hour at the bar using their free wifi which was also very nice! Thanks Provision for a great meal and accommodations!

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by for lunch on MLK Day 2020 and were quite impressed. We were there shortly after noon and sat right at the bar. The bartender was training a new bartender but service didn't miss a beat. We started out with two of their low proof cocktails. My wife had the Ivory Lass and I had the seasonal special (some riff on a French 75 with Waterloo antique gin (A personal favorite)). We then shared the Deviled eggs which come three to an order. I liked the house hot sauce and giardiniera but thought the eggs were a bit nondescript without those two additions. I had the provision burger, add bacon and my wife had the provision greens. We shared a side of crispy brussels. We were very impressed with both of our mains. The burger was cooked to my specifications and the bun held up nicely to the juicy patty and sauces. I was pleasantly surprised by the "provision steak sauce" on the burger. It added a pleasant vinegary bite that cut through the richness of the burger. My wife loved the salad and it was quite a hearty offering. It was well-balanced and composed. The goat cheese and dates really made the salad. The crispy Brussels were quite good, especially those that were thoroughly crispy. Some were a bit more mushy than crispy but all in all, they were a tasty side. I finished the meal with a pint of their craft beer. All told, the meal was delicious, cocktails were fantastic. I thought the mains were perfectly executed, though the app and side was just okay. It was a touch on the pricey side as the meal described above was around $80. We enjoyed Provision but will likely keep it as more of a special treat than a mainstay.

Yelp
Dined here with my sister the first weekend after they opened and had a fantastic experience. The staff was polite and attentive, the food was excellent, and the cocktails were dangerously delicious. I'm not used to North Austin spots being all that unique or having menus that well thought out, so this place was a great surprise. I hope more people check this place out; it deserves to stick around for a while. #PimentoCheeseForlife.

Yelp
Tonight our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) dined out for dinner and had one of the best meals we've had in a long time. We asked for recommendations from the owner and ordered everything he suggested! We ordered way more food than necessary just to try all the options. We had the pimento cheese and crackers and the lollipop buffalo wings to start. Oh my god... after this opening act we were hooked. We had the Provision burger, the fried chicken sandwich, the short rib ragout, shrimp and grits, and the crispy brussel sprouts. We aren't usually the most adventurous of orderers, but I am so thankful we went out of our comfort zone and tried some new flavors. We plan to go back tomorrow for Saturday Brunch! Having businesses opening up and going back out after Covid closures has been scary for many. The staff at Provision have so many procedures in place to keep their patrons and their staff safe. You are asked to wear a mask upon entering and walking to your table and when you are moving about the restaurant to go the bathroom. There is one entry and one exit into the restaurant to limit cross traffic. Servers only bring your food/beverage and bussers only take used food/beverage so that staff members who are bringing you your food are never touching items other patrons have touched. They have thought out the details well! This business is locally owned and if you haven't tried it out, I recommend it highly.

Yelp
New spot in north Austin perfect for a casual but tasty date night, game day with the friends (plenty of tvs), or group dining because they have a private dining room! I loved their potatoes with chimichurri, also the steak frites was delicious and steak was perfectly cooked! Everything we had was tasty and the space had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, if you're curious about this space, definitely go give it a visit!

Yelp
Our first time. Here are some thoughts. Nice food. Knowledgeable staff and presentation. Pretty furniture even though the room feels a tad cool. Lighting is perfect and layout spot on. It needs some spots of opposing color in my humble opinion. It's very blue. Perhaps something like a mural on that long space. (A local artist could do a lovely reflection view of the quarry lake.) Tasted the chicken fried sliders and the farrow bowl. Both really tasty. Avery wowed with her informative and friendly interaction with us. We liked the food and the menu options. We will be back for another celebration and a new selection! All the best to you at the Stoned Lake! Nicki

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. Went for our anniversary dinner and enjoyed the food. The chicken was amazing and the short rib pasta was stellar! I do feel like for the price you're paying, the ambience should be a bit higher caliber. The brightness of the room and all of the TVs on the wall make the place feel cheaper than it is. Overall, the food was good and our server was great. Will definitely be going back eventually.

Yelp
This place opened in the blink of an eye. I feel like I was just at Red's and the next thing I know, it's a new place called Provision. The short rib ragout is SO good! yummmmmmmmy. Also, order the mushroom side dish. It is good! My lovely husband enjoys the rock candy old fashioned. I personally prefer the piquant pear. It's sweet, tart, a little spicy and definitely delicious. I will make sure to go to provision more than I went to the last place. It is good, and I would like it to stay around.... No really. Get the mushroom side dish. You will thank me.

Yelp
Provision is in the old Red's Porch location by Quarry Lake. You'd have to know it's there since it's well off Braker Rd & Stonelake. The restaurant wasn't very crowded on a Wednesday night. We had the family meal with a sampling of their meats. The Ribeye was amazing. We also loved the mussels as an appetizer. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
What a treat, wow... the cuisine is American with French and Mexican influences. I ordered the Crab Balls as an appetizer and the Pan Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes. Both were delicious and had such flavor. The chicken was moist and worked really well with the roasted cherry tomato's and mashed potatoes. My husband had a bowl with Brussels sprouts, beets, rice etc that was also excellent. We shared the pumpkin bread pudding. Overall an culinary experience that we highly recommend!

Yelp
I liked Provision, but they're brand new, so I think they're still working some things out. They're a new American restaurant with all the standards - deviled eggs, buffalo wings, mussels, steak, and salads. I really liked the buffalo wings, but I was confused by the salad with ribbons of celery and carrot. Buffalo wings and celery aren't usually something I'd eat with a fork. The deviled eggs were delicious, though. My friend got the farro bowl and I think I'd try that next time. Overall, I thought they were trying to be too fancy with food that didn't need to be - like I enjoyed the marshmallow dessert with a burning cinnamon stick, but I can't eat a cinnamon stick.

Yelp
Great new addition to Braker Lane. Bar has TVs to catch a game and there is a good amount of seating for dining. Only problem is sound- it gets REALLY loud b/c it is all one big open space. We usually sit at the bar so we don't have to yell the whole time. Great food & service. We will keep coming here for sure!

Yelp
Found this one sort of by accident and was happy I did! Craft cocktails and nice twists on American fare. Our table did the family sized appetizer sampler and loved it. Big bowls of fries and tasty crab fritters were filling and delicious. The deviled eggs have a lot of zing and the cheese sampler was filled with favorites. Chicken lollipops were also tasty. Our server was attentive and full of suggestions and the ambiance was very chill. Definitely will be going back!

Yelp

Yelp
This place was fantastic and spectacular service! The only reason there weren't 5 stars is due to the crab puffs (not pictured) because they were mostly just bread (still good, just very little crab).

Yelp
The food was delicious the service awesome. It's a little noisy but overall good ambience. They loose a star because of portion size we had the pork and kale savory salty melt in your mouth yum and the fish which was delicious. Next time I will ask for the arugula next to it not on top to maintain the crispy skin. They loose a star because we were both hungry after our meals. They are more of a good size appetizer in size.

Yelp
This replaced the old Red Porch. My wife and I decided to try this as opposed to Roaring Fork and i have to say we were more thank pleasantly surprised. This will be our new go to place. This place was fabulous from the crab puffs for an appprrtizer to the ragout made Wii's heaven short ribs. I had the red fish sandwich which was so light and tasty. This was complimented by a great specialty drink and good wine by the glass list. Most unexpectedly we got to try a special cocktail they were trying out, not only was presentation spectacular but the taste was amazing! Definitely recommend giving this place a try!!!

Yelp
Came with a group of friends, first time. Good location with decent parking. This restaurant is pretty new here and interior was nicely decorated. We didn't get to sit outside on the deck but there's a lake behind you can enjoy the nice view on a good weather. Great place to hangout. Food was pretty good. Although I thought thEir menu was somewhat limited, but everything we ordered was delicious. I noticed their burger is on a wheat bun and fried chicken sandwich is chicken thigh.... not particularly my favorite as I don't eat that "healthy". I ordered the steak sandwich and it was great! Their fries are the best, you can't find that many place do a good job on crispy fries. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. OveralL we had great experience.

Yelp
Nice place. Kind of dead for lunch when we were there. Really wanted this to be a go-to spot for our rotation. Chicken in the sliders were smaller than the slider roll and the thigh meat was overcooked and tough. Whah?! The crab Mac n Cheese was honestly pretty boring -- the sauce not much better than the orange/blue grocery store box. Ouch, I know but will give it another shot in the near future.

Yelp
Love this place. We went for lunch when they first opened and just fell in love with the food and drinks. The burnished potatoes are a MUST HAVE. Seriously. We ordered two, and I wanted more. The deviled eggs are fantastic. My husband got the shrimp and grits and he said it was absolutely delicious. I got the fried chicken sliders, let me tell you, these were AMAZING. It was so much food. I could not eat it all, which was great because I then had leftovers for dinner. Then the drinks... I had this pear cocktail (don't remember the name) SO GOOD. My husband had the Old Fashioned, I don't like whisky but this drink made me a convert. It was perfect. Don't miss out on this gem of a place. You will not regret it.
