Provisions Wine & Cafe Bar in downtown Orange is a lovely gathering spot if you’re looking for a relaxed place to unwind with a glass of wine and good conversation. The atmosphere is cozy, and calm, nothing pretentious, just comfortable and welcoming. It’s the perfect setting to sit back, catch up with friends, and actually hear each other talk. A great contrast to louder, more crowded wine bars. They showcase an impressive selection of wines lining the shelves, with a wide variety to choose from. Whether you’re into reds, whites, or something in between, there’s something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and range of options available. Overall, Provisions is a great neighborhood wine bar very ideal for a low-key evening, meaningful conversation, and discovering new wines in a relaxed environment. Definitely a place I’d return to when I’m in downtown Orange.

Wow. What a cool spot. This place has some hard to find beers and wines and some really good looking bites to eat. I was impressed with their coffee bar and their service. Sara helped me to find an obscure white wine for a gift and showed me some of their draft beers. They have a great Russian River selection! I set up shop here and worked for a bit on their free WiFi. This might be my new office away from the office. This place is rad. I’ll be back for sure.

After a few hours of antique shopping, beverages and snacks were needed! We found this gem by just walking down the street, the coolers of craft beer and kegs caught our eyes. We ordered the pretzel bites, pickled devil eggs and the Italian sandwich!! Nothing disappointed! Fast service, good beer and great food, we got it all!!! Pretzel bites were fresh tasting with enough salt and the cheese sauce paired well with the beer and a beak from the kick of the pickled eggs. Those things were sooo yummy! Don’t let the description or color deter you from ordering them! Probably our favorite item of the day! They did have some kick but still try them! Sandwich bread was fresh and so were the delicatessen meats and cheeses. Stop by, have a snack and a beer and continue your walk. We got all of the items for $56. Not bad for the quality and deliciousness!

Great place for a bite to eat. I suggest the deviled eggs, which aren't too spicy but definitely delicious. The beers are good and the atmosphere is nice as well, although in the afternoons, the parrots make the patio quite loud.

Love this place! Amazing beer and wine selection. Good food especially breakfast and the cheese platter is great! Whenever i'm in Orange I hit up Provisions elat least every day. Highly recommend stopping by this spot.

Always a great selection of Beers, either on tap or bottled. Food menu is decent, and they can be slow some times with making them. Love the addition of Portola Coffee

One of my favorite spots to go for a quick lunch on a weekend. The guys at the desk always have a great suggestion for a sandwich, come in earlier than noon because they run out of the pickle deviled eggs. Lots of different beers, IPA and ciders. The freshly baked pretzels are pretty amazing while watching a football game.

I've been here a few times in the past but only as a grab and go for Pliny. Today we came here for brunch. Tried the avocado toast which was delicious! I judged it lol thinking it wouldn't be that great but it was actually really good And of course, I had a Pliny while there. Service was great. The girl at the counter was very friendly and patient, because I was a little undecided at first. The vibe was fairly quiet but we were there around 11 am. Other times I've been in here it's usually more lively.

I've never been in here before, but I've seen a lot of good things whenever I'm walking by this place. This really gives off a lot of good vibes and I would love to be in here someday. I remember that this place followed on a lot of trends, such as the Demure and mindfulness trend thingy that happened in the summer of 2024. They also love to do Treats on the Streets since they have an inflatable decoration at one of their front entrances.

One of my favorite restaurants in the circle. Love the rotating craft beer menu, and the sandwiches are top tier. My favorite is the turkey goat cheese sandwich. They also have a little coffee bar open during the day with a nice selection of teas. Inside there are plenty of seating options, as well as on the back patio. There are wine options available to go and craft beers too. Service is friendly, though sometimes can feel a little slow when they are busy. They do their best. For events, they do Russian River Tap Takeovers, Trivia, and more. Always a great place to pop in!

Coffee, beer, and wine. These are a few of my favorite things that can be found at Provisions. I didn't realize that this Olde Towne neighborhood was here, even having been to nearby Chapman University before. They have a lot of great restaurants and shops down here and Provisions was one of them. My dad and I stopped here for lunch and to have a beer or two. We also came back later in the day after exploring the rest of Olde Towne to pick up some coffee before heading back to our hotel. Our beer selections were the Blinded by the Light fruited sour from Long Beach Beer Lab for my dad and the Funky Foeder cherry from Russian River Brewing for me. For food, I ordered the classic club sandwich and my dad ordered the Italian Sub Sandwich. Since it was a nice day outside, we snagged a table out front. More seating can be found on their patio in the back. Everything here was excellent, especially my beer, which had a very fruity, cherry taste to it. My classic club was packed with turkey and other types of vegetables, such as tomatoes and lettuce. My dad finished his entire Italian Sub Sandwich entirely and helped me finish my classic club when I got too full to finish it myself. There was a different person working there when we came back to order coffee. The one guy making our coffee was apparently new, because he was being trained on how to work the espresso machine by the other person. Their coffee here was also excellent, and my dad almost got their liquid gold coffee haha. Please note that their coffee bar closes at 4:00. This was a great lunch, beer, and coffee spot and we hope to be back again next time!

Love love love this cafe/bar in Orange! It's got the coffee and breakfast sandwiches for your brunch needs, AND delicious snacks and treats with your draft beer or wine pick. I absolutely love these cinnamon sugar pretzel bites, I get the half order and it's plenty for one person. Also, staff are always nice, super friendly and easy to chat with or get help from. All around great establishment and I really need to catch the trivia night one of these days!!

Came here tonight celebrating our anniversary to close our night. I had not been here in a few years and glad it's still here. Tonight we had non-alcoholic beverages and a 4 item charcuterie board. The drinks were good, the charcuterie board was good but overpriced for what you get. It was $20 for the board and the only extras were bread, mustard and a strawberry jam. Everything tasted good, quality was good and a decent amount just kind of plain. Service was excellent, ordered at the counter and asked questions about their selections. The staff was friendly and helpful. The vibes are chill and a nice break from the orange circle.

Beer, wine, cheese and sandwiches.... So many reasons to love coming here! The workers are so helpful and friendly here and always have good recommendations. Choosing a bottle of a little something delicious and pairing it with a beautiful charcuterie and cheese board... just heaven.

We've been enjoying Provisions for many many years. We really enjoy. They're super delicious sandwiches. Although I don't drink anymore, I can tell you that any craft brew connoisseur will be astonished by their available. Beers on draft as well as in bottles. Don't worry if you're not a beer drinker because they also have a wonderful wine and cider selection. The staff is always very friendly, courteous and accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxing and they offer indoor seating as well as outside seating. I definitely recommend Provisions!

Ordered an Italian sub and a blueberry lavender lemonade for lunch yesterday and I was damn bear in heaven! Love the atmosphere and the food I'm definitely coming back soon!

Pricey but good sandwiches! Think my turkey and avocado one was over $20 including tip. It was good and filling, but not worth $20. Place is cool to grab some beers or wine at. Cool vibes just not the cheapest.

Pastrami Reuben is so good. Would get it every time. Wish it came with a side though. This place is a little spendy, but it is good. Coffee is good as well. Cool vibe for a bite, a catch up with a friend, to watch a game, etc. Service was friendly

PROVISIONS is my favorite spot in the Orange Circle... and maybe in the entirety of OC! My husband and I live near the circle and frequent PROVISIONS on a weekly basis (sometimes daily basis lol). Let me tell you a few reasons why I love them: 1. They have THE BEST COFFEE IN THE ORANGE CIRCLE!! This is not an exaggeration. I have tried every coffee spot in the orange circle and PROVISIONS is by far the best spot. Their syrups are homemade and they always make the best iced vanilla lattes consistently! 2. Their staff are incredibly friendly and inviting. They always brighten my day! My husband and I pop in throughout the weekend for coffee, beer, or board games and they are always great company to be around! 3. They have amazing selections of beer (some even hard to find anywhere else) and provide the best ambiance to hang out, work remote, play a few games, etc. Their trivia nights are also super fun! The list can go on!! I cannot recommend this place enough. My husband and I even took out engagement pictures here...

Place has potential, but the management here is lousy. There was 1 worker during a full house making all the food, drinks, and taking everyone's order. At one point there were 6 people waiting in line while she was in the back making food. Not the worker's fault, you can tell she was stressed. This is to the owner or management to do better with staffing. Also, I got a $4 can of beer from your fridge and noticed you charge an extra $2 for "corkage fee"?!?! That's enough to not come back here again.

We stopped here last weekend for some breakfast and coffee. I didn't want any alcoholic drinks, but I want to try them next time. Food was delicious with awesome menu choices. Love the vibe here, Cant wait to visit again.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We planned a small gathering to toast my son's engagement. We contacted the manager ahead of time to reserve the back patio and pre order charcuterie boards for when our group arrived. Instead, we were met with the exactly the opposite. My letter to the manager illustrates our experience. I have to tell you that we were incredibly disappointed last night. We arrived and had all our guests present and the staff on duty hadn't even started on the charcuterie boards. The chairs on the patio were wet, and when we asked to move inside to a nearly empty space, we were told that we would be too loud for the staff to hear at the register. When I expressed my frustration, I was told,"sorry, we only have 2 people working." That is an unacceptable excuse as we planned this a head of time. This was a special night for my son. All those closest to him stood around waiting for food and drinks. No one offered to serve them. I understand that there wasn't to be a wait staff but when I asked to get started with some pitchers, I was told that I needed a credit card for a tab. That's fine! However, a more acceptable course of action would have been, "Let me get those started for you. What would you like? While you're waiting, could you please grab a credit card for the tab?" She made absolutely no effort to accommodate us and made all of us feel very unwelcome. It was quite embarrassing for me and disappointing for Ryan. Luckily, we made a phone call to 1886 and they opened their back patio (with working heaters) for us. The staff was incredible at fixing what Provisions messed up. Collectively, our group spent well over $600. What could have been a great night of business for you turned out abysmally due to extremely poor customer service and lack of planning by your staff.

My place for calm solitude and a beer. The back patio facing the parking lot is more private and quiet. The inside and front of the restaurant gets you the experience of the crowd at the orange circle. People also come here to study, work and drink coffee. I primarily get the same sandwich but their entire menu is great. The craft brew and wine on tap is fantastic. They have refrigerators with beers, wine, sodas, and nonalcoholic drinks. They also carry many wines on their shelves. This place is a gem. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner bring your family, a date, or come alone. A must visit if you are at the orange circle.

I've been a HUGE Fan of Provisions for severa years. Their coffee is amazing! Their Beer selection in can/bottle is phenomenal! If you need a bite to eat, their sandwiches are ultra fresh and delicious! The Provisions Team are always friendly and very helpful! The atmosphere is relaxing. I definitely recommend you stop by!

Located in Old Towne Orange, off Glassell north of the Orange Circle, Provisions share the same business front as Portola. It's quite the logical business collaboration as Portola serves coffee and I imagine a morning crowd where as Provisions would make sense for a night crowd. I am sure there is overlap during the middle of the day, but during the night we came Portola had already closed down and Provisions was open for business. Provisions had a selection on tap as well as the option to buy cans from the refrigerator section and they'll give you a beer glass to enjoy. The selection had some individually sold and some in a pack. If they are in a pack, you cannot break it up and only buy one can. Our group of 5 had one person order off tap while the other 4 decide to be adventurous and check out the selection they had in their refrigerators. We took our drinks to the outdoor seating area set up in front of the business. There were nice string lights above us and there was a cool night time breeze. Great ambiance for reminiscing the good old times and celebrating our successes within the past year. My pick was a Nova Easy Kombucha Orange Brunch 6% alcohol. I typically love kombucha and especially boozed kombucha but this one was at best "okay". Nevertheless the overall experience was pleasant. With the cans, we were able to pour some into the glasses and try each others' selections while still being sanitary and pandemic safe. Service was very friendly. Towards the end of the night, as they were closing up, the staff came out to take the glasses back to wash, but provided plastic cups so we keep hanging out even after they are closed. I thought that was very nice they didn't rush us. Drinks would have left this experience at a 3.5 stars but the lovely ambiance and friendly service bumped my overall experience to a 4 stars. Bottoms up :)

EASILY the best sandwich in OC! There is greatness in simplicity that this place completely understands! We enjoyed an Italian sub, and classic club, and they we're both simply fantastic! Not to mention the incredible selection of delicious beers! With so many choices for places to grab a bite in the Orange Circle, this place cannot be overlooked it understated as a great place to grab a sandwich and a beer!

I kicked off the night of January 1st 2023 by sharing a bottle of wine here with my husband. The last time we were here was a couple years ago when only outside dining was allowed. We braced the summer heat but still had a great time. It was nice to come back and enjoy wine indoors on a winter night. You can do wine by the glass, or pay a corkage and buy the bottle. There is also plenty of beer options. I'd love to try a panini someday, but this time we had already eaten dinner. The ambiance is fun and casual.

The Malbec on rotation was fire this week. Cute little spot. Although when you search for dog friendly this place pops up. On yelp it says dog friendly on the drop down. I was told it was not though. The helpful worker said it was coo cuz the manager wasn't here, so we stayed. We would love to come back, cuz the wine was good, but I'd suggest they fix their yelp. Wine with my doggo got them 4 stars, but we feel uncomfortable if this wasn't truly permitted. Good service, chill music, cute atmosphere, great wine on tap. "Fur friends not allowed sign" needed tho.

It would've been helpful to have some suggestions that were actually beneficial. I found that what they had on tap for wine and beer did not fit my needs, and when I asked about the selection of wine and beer, I was not given a thorough understanding or level of consideration for what I was looking for. I would have spent more money and gotten a bottle if I had gotten good advice in terms of a hefeweizen wise or dry wine selection. I think they are a great restaurant for wine and beer serving company, but would be better if they had listened to me versus just placated me in the process. I came to get charcuterie board, but I am not even going to finish my wine, Just going to head out and get food somewhere else.

The absolute best Turkey Avocado sandwich no onion with added provolone. I'll forever pay $18+ for this amazing sandwich! It's so good i always forget to take a picture! Absolutely amazing!

Came here with a date. What a fabulous selection of anything you could bottle up practically. They have a nice variety of deli style sandwiches that are fresh and delicious. There is plenty of seating to relax, unwind, and enjoy all the while being in downtown Orange.

I was looking for a coffee shop to do some work after I had visited a few in downtown and they were all packed. I came across provisions and they had plenty of room to do work. I got a coffee which was good. I would have given them 4 stars but when I paid for my coffee, the barista said it would be $7. I checked my bank account they charged me $8. I know it's a dollar difference but the principal of it especially with everything being so expensive. Overall good vibes

Great food and good service We had the Pretzel Bites, Spicy Pickled Deviled Eggs and Pastrami Reuben Sandwich...all real good The Pretzel Bites had a nice cheese sauce on the side and a good sprinkle of course salt on top. They could be a tad smaller to be perfect, imo..... The Eggs are awesome....great flavor and texture And the sandwich was awesome. Real good Marble Rye and the Pastrami was solid. Good pickles and other toppings and not too much of anything to overpower the other ingredients Plenty of seating inside and out Lots of alcohol in the fridge and on tap and a nice assortment of boutique sodas and whatnot

A friend of ours recently played here as part of a music festival hosted by various locations in downtown orange. It was an event that showcased amateur artist. While there, we ended up getting a few pints and also the avacado toast to snack on. Overall the place has a pretty cool chill vibe to it and the different beers are pretty good and reasonably priced. If your not interested in anything thats on tap, they to have a refrigerated section where they stock a decent amount of other stuff including micro and nano brews in cans.

The service and food are awesome here! I love the outdoor seating, the variety of beverages, and the quality of the food. I had the deviled eggs here for the first time. They impressed me with the care and effort they put into their dishes and presentation. I hope they stay busy and continue their success!

Not terrible but exactly enjoyable. The store was really dark and the tables and chairs were hard. Is this a deli or a wine lounge? My avocado sandwich had pepper jelly. I wish that had been on the description. I thought it was disgusting

Stopped in for some coffee and to work and have a bite. The music was great and relaxing, not too loud to distract from my work flow. Service was wonderful and I would highly recommend coming for breakfast during the week if you WFH and need a break from the house. Great place to get some work done and have a nice cup of coffee.

THIS PLACE IS BUSSIN!!! I order the Italian It was made fresh and quick I honestly place this in my top 3 delis I work all over the OC so I try different options frequently. Also Jordan was a big help! She gave us suggestions She also let us try some IPAs before we ordered Great vibes great staff great food

I recently visited this spot and had a sweep dang time. I had just came off a long road trip and need a quick snack and sip before I came home and don't cha know it this spot came thru. Amazing wine selection and cool beers. Everyone was super cool to me especially Sarah that let me know all about what was offered on the shelves and coolers. See me there soon we will have a blast

First thing I noticed was the beautiful lighting inside the store, mind you it was day time. Then I turn and see that there is a patio, where I'm enjoying a great and reasonably priced banana nut muffin. The staff is kind and courteous, consider checking them out it's their 10 year anniversary!

Deli, bottle shop, beer bar, wine bar, sports bar, coffee shop, hangout spot... did I miss anything? Provisions Deli & Bottle Shop is a cool spot in Old Towne Orange. If you haven't been to the area, think small town downtown / "Main Street" but with plenty of restaurants and bars, including this one. They have a Portola Coffee Roasters kiosk right inside, shelves full of interesting beers (and some wines) which can be purchased to-go, and fridges on the other wall for the more perishable beers. I was actually more interested in the beer bar. They have 20 taps full of interesting local beers from LA to San Diego. Fans of IPAs, sours, and stouts can all find something to enjoy. This is going to be a beer-only review, so skip a few paragraphs if you're not into that sort of thing. I started with a flight. The leftmost prices on the beer menu item cards are the flight prices and vary from $3 all the way up to $12. Those upper prices do partially make sense because they're for more expensive, high-ABV brews, but I was struggling to see how some of them are only priced at $1 less than the full 6 oz pours. Even if the taster glasses go all the way to 5 oz, that's really not a great deal. Also, I was a bit annoyed that it sounded like I had to order four beers. I'm pretty sure most places are more flexible with the number of tasters you can order, and if it's not convenient for the bartender to pour one at a time, it surely isn't for the customer either. Anyway, all of the offerings in my flight tasted fresh. Green Cheek's Drinks With Mom, Pure Project's Murk of the Beast, Arrow Lodge's Best Buds, and Highland Park's Pillow landed in the $3.25 to $5.25 range. We could go over flavors and mouthfeels, but most or all of these beers are probably seasonal and therefore won't be relevant in particular unless you're reading this review very shortly after I've written it. The two other beers which I ordered toward the end of my visit were both boozy stouts and both apparently 6 oz pours. Mikkeller's Bourbon Barrel Aged Beer Geek Maple Vanilla Shake ($10) and Bottle Logic's Jam The Radar ($8) were both quite delicious and sweet, but neither was overly sweet. Considering that I can't seem to find these two anywhere else via a certain beer app which Provisions Deli and other bars/shops use to list beer menus, I'm very glad that I was able to locate and enjoy these relatively rare beers. Service is fine and counter-only. The bar seating area is really tiny, so I felt fortunate that I was able to grab a seat. Water is available on the counter of the cheese/meat section, which you can find between the bar and the refrigerator. Parking is in streets or lots, and I wound up on the curb outside a seemingly free parking garage two blocks west. I will definitely keep an eye on what Provisions has to offer the next time I'm visiting the area. Their beer offerings are extensive, and maybe I'll even get around to trying the food at some point.

Is it a coffee house? A beer bar? A restaurant? A co-working space? Yes. It's literally all of those things. I've eaten and partied in Orange numerous times, but for some reason Provisions always eluded, but not this time around. I wasn't very hungry, but I was in need of some computer time and a frosty beer. They have a cooler full of what seems like hundreds of beers and a decent tap list as well. If you get a beer from the cooler there's a two dollar "corking" fee, so I opted for a draft beer. I sipped on the Emotional Rescue Pale Ale from Crazy Mountain brewing, it was light in color and flavor and would be perfect with a salty snack. Provisions is solid spot to chat and have a few drinks with a group of friends or even just get some work done and catch a small buzz. This place can get busy and the parking is scarce so plan accordingly!

Great selection of craft beer. Always something different yet always fantastic. And the pretzel bites are the bomb.

Absolutely go here for good service and good selection of beers. Many sizes to pick from too, not always just 16oz.

Rude Rude Rude customer service. Over priced. Not happy with the change. OC needs a good cheese shop. This used to be my go to.

New(?) manager reached out with discount in order to try this place again. While they appear to have gotten rid of the rude employee(s), the food has gone downhill and 1/3-1/2 of their taps are empty. Without the beer, what does this place have to offer? Other than way overpriced everything and a tax write off for Haven. Definitely last time here. Two stars for attempt from manager.

The thing is, I love the beer + ambiance here. It's so chill. Beer on tap is cheap. They have a great selection of beers to go. Outdoor dining/drinking space is so nice. Yes. Absolutely, do come here. Dining options can be questionable. I've had a few good things, but the last time I was here, I ordered the following: -chicken nachos ($10): gonestraw farms chicken, white cheddar cheese, pico de gallo, pickled jalepenos + sour cream. No very good, no thanks. Not enough cheese coverage and all the ingredients were subpar. Did not love this nacho experience. -pretzel bites ( $6): handmade pretzels, topped with sea salt and dipped in cheddar cheddar cheese. This was good beering-food. It was tasty, filling, and cheap. I highly recommend ordering the pretzel bites. If possible, and if weather permits, do sit on the patio - super nice. Hit or miss with the food.

What a cute bottle shop! The staff are friendly, and the drink selection is vast and rotating! I love their natural wines and selection of sours. If you're unsure of anything, the beertenders are really helpful to recommend a drink that fits your taste. If you're a sandwich lover, I recommend the Turkey Avocado!

Food was amazing. The atmosphere is a great place to come and have lunch or work on your computer. It's a little pricey but everything was delicious. I can understand the few bad reviews about the customer service, it could have been friendlier but it didn't affect our experience here.
