The Biggest New Las Vegas Restaurant Openings, July 2025 | Eater Vegas

"A sultry, jungle-themed cocktail lounge opened next door on East Fremont by the team behind an earlier downtown concept; the setting swaps nautical kitsch for shadowy rock walls and channels Elvis’s Jungle Room with moss, lava rock, glowing orbs and a digital black panther slinking across screens behind the bar. General manager and drink maestro Chris “Tater” Gutierrez focuses on inventive cocktails — "think fresh sugar snap peas, hibiscus-ginger beer, or roasted pepita orgeat" — and a cheeky menu that includes drinks like Sex Panther (served in a ceramic cat head) and For a Good Time Call, which contains an amusing Easter egg for anyone who dials the included number. With fewer than 50 seats, retro booths, and playful, thematically wild bathrooms (butterflies! fireflies!), the spot is intimate and whimsical while delivering the creative cocktails fans expect from Gutierrez." - Janna Karel

Came here at midnight on my son’s 21st birthday and this place did not disappoint. The drinks were absolutely fire! And the prices were so much better than strip prices for a 10x better quality drink. I ordered the Neon Flamingo and it was honestly one of the best drinks I’ve ever had! Perfectly made and so good. The atmosphere is super cool — great music, great energy, and just a fun spot to hang out. The bartender was quick, friendly, and had great suggestions. And the decor is amazing, even in the bathroom. Such a great experience overall. My son loved that this was his first bar ever. I’d 100% come back and definitely recommend it if you want a fun cocktail without the insane Vegas prices.

Google
One of the newest additions to the Arts District. So well done from the beginning, magnificent cocktails, enough options, plus regular drinks. Bad ass toilets that you will love for bathroom selfies. I love to seat at the bar but they have so many different options to chill. Don’t look for a big sign outside.

Google
The Arts District in Las Vegas has had an explosion of bars, breweries and restaurants. From the same team as Stray Pirate, we get a Jungle Themed Tiki/Tropical bar. I really enjoyed the aesthetic. Love the Jungle theme. It feels cozy. Cocktails are well balanced. Familiar with interesting twists. Alex was the bar man that day and walked me thru the menu and some interesting rums on the back bar. Do yourself a favor and come check them out.

Google
Some interesting interior design options. Probably would've positioned the bar in a different layout to maximize patron space. 50% of drinks tried by party were well made. If you go in the afternoon, be careful with the direct sunlight entering/exiting the building = saw a few blinded run-ins.

Google
Elegant & sexy new craft cocktail bar that just opened in the Arts District! Jungle themed cocktails & great music, more intimate than Stray Pirate, the sister bar right next door! Definitely worth checking out! $14-15 cocktails

Google
It's a small but well appointed bar with a jungle theme. I had the "for a good time..." drink. It was compared to a mojito (which I'm not crazy about) but with passion fruit and it was delicious. The bartenders were friendly and i'll definitely be back!

Google
Love this place! Even the bathrooms are decorated. The bar tender did an excellent job recommending drinks. We got there when it opened at 2pm. It was packed by 4. It is an intimate space so it fills quickly. Comfortable seats. A great addition to The Arts District

Google
Went to a new bar downtown tonight called Prowl and wow, I'm impressed. The whole vibe is dark, moody, and cool without trying too hard, exactly my kind of scene. It’s from the same crew behind Stray Pirates and you can tell with the decor and vibes. Jackie was our bartender and she was a whole experience, funny, welcoming, made killer drinks, and made us feel so welcome. And then the manager, Alex, came out to chat with us and was genuinely the coolest and actually took the time to connect and vibe. You don’t get that kind of energy at most spots. This place was so awesome. It’s the kind of bar you want to gatekeep, but also shout about from the rooftops. I’ll be back for sure.

Yelp
We had a good time However, it's hard not to compare it to the sister bar next door, which I kind of preferred. If I had to explain it, I'd say Stray Pirate is for hanging with friends, and Prowl is for having a first date drink. The interior is a little classier, plus it's smaller and quieter. Service is impeccable. Collectively, our group ordered the Naked & Afraid, For a Good Time Call..., and the Cougar. The number for the "good time" drink really works, and is a funny bit. I didn't love the Cougar, which had way too much foam for my liking. The menu is also tiny. I hope it grows! I'd def check it out again!

Yelp
A very disappointing concept in comparison to their other property, Stray Pirate. It feels like a bar at an all inclusive resort that offered a hint of a theme. If the theme is jungle, there needs to be more of it. Their sister property is very immersive and fun! So when I finally had the chance to try this place, it was a little bit of a let down. In addition to the simple environment, the drinks were terrible. I ordered the sexy panther and it was incredibly unbalanced and overall unappetizing flavor profile. Needs to be revisited. We also had the tropical howler with tequila. This one wasn't as unpleasant as the previous, but certainly wouldn't order again. Definitely visit Stray Pirate next door, though! Hopefully as time goes on, menu changes and a more immersive decorations may be helpful. Until then, I won't be a returning customer.

Yelp
If you like Stray Pirate then come next-door to their sister bar for more great craft cocktails. There is no advertising for this place, but you will see one wooden door. Open it up and you are transported into a jungle. There is very limited seating. We were lucky enough to grab a table around 10 PM on a Saturday night. The ambience is very cool with large screens with jungle foliage as well as a black panther behind the bar. The lighting fixtures were also very cool. Of course I had to have the sex panther cocktail. It was very good with a coconut flavor. We had a great time.

Yelp
Super cool concept. This is a sister project to the Bar next door and I would highly recommend to ask one of the workers how this bar came about. The whole place will make sense after you hear the story and how it ties with the bar next door. The service was nice, the bartender was super cool and friendly. The vibe was more on the chill side which was nice. They will have their grand opening at the end of July and their menu will include more drinks along with food. The drinks we got were pretty tasty. Overall, I'm looking to seeing a full menu and trying different drinks. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Pros: Great drinks and vibe. Cons: Not a huge place Details: We popped in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The place has a pretty cool vibe and we found out it is related to Stray Pirate next door. Similar to Stray, the drinks are excellent. The service was also very friendly. Not a big place though so I am not sure how it would be on a busy night. Worth a stop.

Yelp
Super cute bar at the Arts District located right next door to The Stray Pirate. The decor is immaculate and flows so well. It was dimly lit and would be a great spot for date night. Cocktails were delicious and unique. Be sure to check out the bathroom cause it's really cute!

Yelp
Vegas is officially having a cocktail moment, and Prowl just punctuated that statement with an exclamation mark. With Liquid Diet and Stray Pirate already holding down the block, downtown Vegas has transformed into a genuine cocktail destination, and now it's raining cats and dogs, literally, from Stray Pirate's canine-inspired shipwreck vibe next door to Prowl's sleek panther-driven aesthetic. From the moment you step inside, Prowl feels distinct yet effortlessly welcoming. The décor hits an elusive sweet spot with rich moss-covered rock walls, glowing orbs above, cool crystal-like lighting, beautifully themed bathrooms, and creative digitally animated screens that feel like windows deep into a lush jungle. While it might be a nod to the Jungle Room at Graceland, Prowl is its own animal. Plush booths upholstered in warm velvet tones add a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe without any hint of pretension. Great spaces don't become unforgettable without the right people behind them, and Chris Gutierrez, general manager and cocktail creator, ensures Prowl absolutely delivers. Alex was behind the bar during our visit, expertly crafting every drink with undeniable talent. Each cocktail, like the fresh and beautifully balanced "Monstera Mash" and the delightfully layered "Neon Flamingo" (complete with a tiny flamingo garnish), is a masterclass in flavor and creativity. Chris's welcoming presence and genuine enthusiasm as he showed us around further highlight the depth of passion behind this place. Prowl doesn't just have good liquor; it has an expertly curated selection and knows exactly how to elevate every drop. Every cocktail we tried was flawless, proving this team isn't just talented, they're inspired. We'll absolutely be back ASAP. If you haven't been yet, go now before the cat's fully out of the bag. There's no dress code at Prowl, but let's be honest...this isn't your average downtown dive. It's a lush, cinematic jungle escape built with intention and care. You'll feel welcome however you show up, but if you want the full effect, channel your inner Sex Panther. 60% of the time, putting in a little effort works every time.

Yelp
I love checking out new bars in the arts district, and Prowl was a super fun space! It's on the backside of the arts district that is currently being worked on, and next to their sister bar, Stray Pirate. The space is intimate and dark with images of the jungle showing on the wall. The bar menu had some delicious drinks, and my entire group loved every drink we have had. We each had one drink and one of their curated shots, and the pricing was decent for the area. I would definitely recommend stopping by and giving them a try!

Yelp
This has got to be one of my favorite bars in the downtown area! The ambience is jungle themed with a highlight of Black Panther and they do it so well. The bartending staff is very nice and super attentive. They checked on us for drinks all throughout the night and made them extremely quick and tasty. I ordered the tropical howler, which was a light sugary mixed cocktail with all the right proportions. It was one of the best ones that I've had in a while. The bathrooms are extremely clean and the bar area is very well kept I would highly recommend checking this out on your next night on the town.

Yelp
This is the cutest bar - it's gorgeous inside! We had been meaning to stop in since its been open. Service was quick and they had a great assortment of cocktails. I went with the 1-877 prowl which is like a mojito. It was ok, but I was hoping for a bit more passionfruit flavor. Will be back again to try some other drinks!

Yelp
The sleek classy sister of Stray Pirate. Good drinks and a smooth vibe but feels smaller than Stray Pirate. I liked that even when crowded it isn't too loud or boisterous - good place to have conversation. Theming-wise Stray Pirate is still top notch, but comparing their atmosphere is like apples to oranges. I plan to going to Prowl as an overflow for when Stray Pirate gets too busy.

Yelp
Walked into this dimly lit bar and my attention was immediately brought to the jaguar in the middle of the bar (really cool) Sat at the bar and ordered my drink which was made to perfection , the Neon Flamingo. It has just the right amount of tartness and sweetness. Highly recommend if you prefer a sweeter drink. Ambiance all around is comfortable and warm. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Ever since I heard Prowl was opening it was on my list to visit the next time I was in Vegas, I had the pleasure of going twice! I had the feeling of soft 70's luxury vibes, mixed with jungle cat, and a slight flare of tiki inspiration. This may sound silly, but when you go be sure to visit the bathroom and not just one of them! On the first night we visited it was a full bar, yet had a calm energy to it. Even though the place was busy all of the staff were very tentative and seemed to be enjoying the night and that made me very happy. The second night we visited didn't have as many people and we enjoyed a different view along with a few different drinks. I look forward to visiting again the next time in town.

Yelp
Cute vibe, great drinks, great service...an elevated cocktail experience...will definitely back soon!

Yelp
Did not disappoint! Seating was not an issue when we first showed up around 7 on a Friday but was packed by the time we left around 930. Drinks were good and average price for a nicer place in the arts district

Yelp
As a local, I rarely go downtown & the strip, but decided to go out to some place new. I came across this place on Tik tok & decided to check it out. Parking as accessible either along the curb, or a separate parking lot a 1/2 block down. Paid of course. The bar was somewhat hard to find. Sign out front is super small, but we found it! The vibe is super cute, dark, & chill. Plenty of seating & wasn't busy as it was a Monday evening. I'm sure it gets busy on the weekends. Service was very friendly & personable & the drinks were tasty. They do not offer food, so be ware. I took a star off because : A) wayyyyy too cold. I was freezing. Some may like it, but it was just way tooo cold do my liking. B) considering it wasn't busy at all, making our drinks took forever. I understand the craftsmanship behind a drink, but it took a long time to finally receive our drinks. Other than that, it's a cool experience.

Yelp
Stopped by after just a few weeks of being open. The decor is amazing a very well thought out concept. Friendly bartenders. The drinks were tasty too! Great addition to the area!

Yelp
Love the atmosphere, and the theme is very fun! We especially love the names of the cocktails, and they did not disappoint! Our server Dillyn was so sweet and had great recommendations. This will definitely be added to our "must visit" cocktail spots!

Yelp
The ambiance is chill, the drinks are yummy, and the vibes pass the check. Lovely hidden gem next to Stray Pirate. Recommend hitting them both up if your downtown!

Yelp
Some new businesses have ages-long hype periods before actually opening. Then there is PROWL cocktail bar. Seems I first read at the end of March 2025 about its arrival to the Arts District, and, according to the plaque beside the bamboo chevron door, its "first roar" was 25 May. Official(?) opening was 12 June. Atmosphere: Welcome to the jungle. Brought by the same folks running next-door Stray Pirate, so the decor was just as immersive. Dim lighting, greenery, rock walls, masks, golden globular lights like water droplets hanging over the tables, screens depicted the panther mascot stalking its prey (you, or your wallet). The ceiling leading to the facilities was encrusted with quartz out of King Solomon's Mines serving as light fixtures. Music on the floor was discoish dance, but the facilities had the sounds of the wild piped in. Also had a beautiful glass ceiling of colorful butterflies; from what I've read, the other room is decorated differently. There was also PROWL merch on display. The cocktails all had suggestive/punny themed names. Example Cougar ($15): Subtle herbaceousness and fruit, juicy mouthfeel with a sour tart aftertaste. Strong too. Liked it alot so had another. Value: When I had visited Stray Pirate, I had been impressed by the theme but not so much the cocktails, at least the two I had tried. Sibling PROWL though delivered on both theme and drink craft. Service: Good.

Yelp
Super chill new jungle themed bar from the same people as Stray Pirate so I knew going in it would be amazing. It was even better then I expected. Picked 3 drinks off their menu and i think my favorite was one that is a create your own. With a suggestion by the phenomenal mixologist, I had one of the best drinks in a long time. Anything with the ginger beer is a must try. Excited to make this one of my new downtown hangouts.

Yelp
I love love the ambience!!! Drinks were delicious. Certainly added to my pub crawl list!!

Yelp
I was in town visiting with my cousins, we wanted to try any bar that seemed like a fun atmosphere, and based on some photos we saw, we decided on Prowl. We were sitting at our table for almost twenty to thirty minutes, with multiple servers walking back and forth right next to us, and not once did anyone acknowledge us. They were only paying attention to a couple of larger groups of people, apparently we were not worth their time. We finally had to stop a server just to order our drinks, but unfortunately by that time, we were not happy and definitely did not feel welcome. We left and went next door to the Stray Pirate, and the employees there were MUCH more welcoming and kind! We had a great time, had several drinks there, and even bought some merchandise to take home!

Ruby M.

Yelp
The ambiance is pretty cool here it kind of gives you a tiki bar feel but not quite. The drinks were good but just be warned that you might want to ask for bottled water because the water here tastes like hose water lol. It was nice to experience the bar for the first time but I think this bar was more of a one and done

Scott G.

Yelp
I cannot rave enough about this place. It was pretty busy this afternoon but service was fast and the drinks were perfectly crafted. Between my wife and I we had 3 of the drinks off the menu and they were all amazing. If you are downtown and looking for chill place I would suggest Prowl.

Mark S.

Yelp
The vibe and decor were really cool. The drinks were just ok but service was horrible. No server when we got there took 15 mins for someone to approach us and then another 10 for the cocktails. Cool concept but failure on service. They should have their staff from Stray Pirate teach them how to serve as I've had amazing experiences there.

Tina D.

Yelp
Alex and Troy were fantastic. Attentive and knowledgeable. One of the best bars in Vegas!

Sacha C.

Yelp
The vibes and cocktails were 10/10. Love this addition to the block. Definitely must see!
