This family-run gem serves a mouthwatering blend of Greek-American favorites and fresh baked goods in a lively, inviting atmosphere.
"A MICHELIN Bib Gourmand boîte in Tampa where Chef Christina Theofilos serves Greek-American delicacies." - The MICHELIN Guide
"Owned and run by second-generation Greek-American, Christina Theofilos, this daytime eatery and bakery epitomizes warmth and comfort. Strangers become friends in no time, noshing on breakfast and lunch during the week and brunch on weekends. The menu is laced with Greek items ranging from flavorful and tender octopus ceviche to house-made dolmades that display an added level of care. The farm to your table sandwich is layered with avocado, pickled green tomato, shaved jicama, sprouts and whipped feta. Of course, with a name that translates to bread, there must be baked goods and you'll find it all here. Don't skimp on dessert and order bougatsa, baklava or baklava coffee cake (an impressive marriage of the two)." - Michelin Inspector

"If the team behind Greek spot Psomi put on a musical, all of the lead roles would be wildly talented breads who could carry the whole show singing a capella. While that’s clearly not possible, the carbs here are excellent, especially at weekend brunch. There are stuffed pitas, honey-drenched loukoumades, solid everything bagels, and even a horiatiki salad that comes with a crusty baguette baked that morning. Of course there’s a bread basket (with seasonal berry jam and clarified butter), and of course you must order it. The cozy dining room, filled with prints of Greece and alabaster chandeliers, may be full by mid-morning, but three stone patios provide plenty of shade outdoors. Be sure to pick up a cranberry walnut boule from their bakery on the way out." - cheryl rodewig
