Fans of the refreshingly cynical show 'Casual' will recognize this as the hotel where the lovelorn character of Valerie Meyers played by Michaela Watkins goes on her torrid sexcapade.

Some of the best food I have eaten in Hollywood to date! Beautiful looking restaurant, the decor is superb! The waitstaff are also very efficient, courteous and full of knowledge on food and wine available. Being a healthy eater I have a lot of trouble ordering at some places but not so here, the kale salad or the ahi tuna entree were incredible! As was the salmon dish :) Can get a little busy but definitely worth it for the food.

The Public Kitchen and Bar is a fantastic place to enjoy a Happy Hour drink in the bar and then definitely go inside the restaurant for fabulous food, great service, and ambiance. The décor is nostalgic “Old Hollywood” and is located in the Roosevelt Hotel. The background jazz music sets the stage for a fabulous dining experience. The split pea soup is a special treat w/inspired flavors. Also, try the 3 cheese plate – the cheeses were fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant and I look forward to returning and sampling other dishes!

Food's good, but not a large menu. Not even a seared Ahi. Also kind of stuffy. Server was great, bartender had the personality of a stick bug. I suppose people here don't like talking to the bartenders. There's a pool bar with friendlier bartenders. They have an AMAZING shrimp cocktail at the pool with shrimp the size of a Chihuahua, and zucchini chips to die for.

Fabulous spot for any type of gathering and any event/meal. Great service, amazing food, fantastic drinks - I can't say enough about everything here. They don't just rest on the laurels of the historic significance of the property, they do a great job at this spot and I would say its a must visit for a true hollywood experience. Definitely get a glimpse of their lobby and if time permits head out to the boulevard for a walk after your meal.

This place tries to be something that it is not. He tries to be something glamorous and old Hollywood lands up being more like any other restaurant in town. Pricey for what you get. Very small portions. But would recommend to tourist visiting Hollywood merely for the Roosevelt Hotel experience.

Four of us were there to have dinner on a Friday, prior to seeing a movie at the El Capitan. We ordered two burgers, one pork chop, and Brussels sprouts. The food was okay, but not great. Definitely not worth the price we paid. The pork chop was only flavorful near the bone, the fries that came with the burger weren’t cooked properly, and were somewhat raw. The burgers themselves were good. The Brussel sprouts tasted like sweet, burnt leaves. All of the leaves of the sprout were loose, so every bite was extremely crunchy like mulch, and sugary. Drink wise, we weren’t impressed either. For those 4 items and 4 alcoholic drinks, our bill was about $160. Not worth it. The service was friendly, but extremely slow. We were one of maybe 4 or 5 groups (not large groups either). Overall, a disappointing experience. I don’t think we’ll be going back for future meals.

Public kitchen and bar at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel is one of the coolest historical restaurants you will ever see. They really did a great job on the renovation to restore it to what it looked like in 1929. They hand painted the ceilings with the original design they refer beshtau all of the elements that were there and they added a bar that's very appropriate for the architecture of the building. There are craft beers on tap, there are signature cocktails made by mixologist stop, and there is great food that would appeal to any colony airy tastes or dietary restrictions.
