"Art deco-style cocktail bar Public Services is housed on the first floor of the 1884 Cotton Exchange building and carefully preserves its old world charm. The striking arches, gilded accents and plush seating will certainly take any date’s breath away, as will the boutique assortment of wines, beers, ciders and mixed drinks chosen by alcohol ingénue/sommelier Justin Vann and snacks from culinary virtuoso Justin Yu." - Nadia Gire

High class yet casual cocktail bar in Downtown Houston. Very cool old school vibe with great drinks. Extensive whiskey list as well as cocktails. My favorite is the Sazerac. $6 cocktails happy hour from 4-6:30 daily is a great deal!

Perfect place to relax and enjoy a fantastic selection of scotch. A unique spot to have great conversations in the one of a kind historical cotton exchange with couches to lounge and fantastic music in the background.

Awesome wine and whiskey selection. If you're a whiskey lover, you'll enjoy their selection and knowledge. I personally enjoy their cider wine (Cidrerie du vulcain, "transparente" apple cider of Switzerland). The ambiance is great with a vintage feel.

I have been coming here for a few years now and I have never been disappointed. They are veteran cocktail makers and they know their craft. Staff is friendly and the ambiance is inviting and cozy. If you go on a slow might it's a great place to have a quiet drink with friends or an educational discussion of various drink related topics with the bartenders.
