My first time eating here, and it was outstanding. Nothing on the table was bad, and Amanda my waitress was on point. I mentioned very early in the dinner I wanted the Tres Leches cake for dessert. She remembered, and even got it added in for me without me reminding her. Definitely will come back again for Taco Tuesday!

Puesto absolutely delivers! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was spot-on—upscale and trendy with an almost Amazonian feel, lush and vibrant. The bar is stunning and sets the tone for a fun, elevated dining experience. We started with the chips & molcajete salsa and the classic guac—both super fresh and packed with flavor. Then came the passion fruit & mango shrimp ceviche and yellowfin tuna crudo… just wow. So refreshing, bright, and beautifully plated. The tamarindo shrimp tacos were a flavor bomb—sweet, tangy, and perfectly balanced. But what really made the night was the bartender. We sat at the bar and got completely spoiled with tequila tastings—he walked us through flavor profiles, suggested perfect pairings, and made us feel like VIPs. You can tell they take pride in the experience just as much as the food. Can’t wait to come back—Puesto is a whole vibe.

A co-worker friend and I had lunch here today. We sat at a bar area booth, that was nice and comfortable. Our server Joe K. was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good and filling. We started with chips and salsa, they give you a lot and we couldn't eat it all. My friend had two tacos, chicken al pastor and a carnitas. I had two Baja fish tacos. Check out my pictures of parts of the bar with the multiple shelves of alcohol! Will be back with my wife! Update: My wife and I sat at the bar and the staff was really nice. We had the Filet Mignon was absolutely tender and delicious!

Google
It was my first time at El Puesto, and I was a bit skeptical because of the reviews, but honestly, it’s a 10/10! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were a solid 10/10, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. I went around 1 PM, and we had a super relaxed and tasty meal. Highly recommend!

Google
Had such an amazing time at Puesto thanks to the incredible team behind the bar—Mario, Miguel, and Hernan. These guys truly made us feel like VIPs from the moment we walked in. Their energy, attentiveness, and kindness made our night unforgettable. They were not only sweet and fun, but they also went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time—even more attentive than our actual server at times! They offered thoughtful drink recommendations and made sure our experience was perfect from start to finish. Honestly, they were the life of the party and a big reason why I’d come back. Huge shoutout to them for making our night so special. If you’re headed to Puesto, do yourself a favor and sit at the bar or near it—you’ll be in the best hands!

Google
we came into Puesto for a team happy hour and had a terrific experience! We were lucky enough to have Amanda as our server and she took care of every single one of us with great care. Amanda was knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations and guidance for our large party. She was thorough enough to check in with the team about food allergies, which some of them did have, and took notes to ensure the team was able to enjoy all of the food. Will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place for your next Team event and ask for Amanda.

Mario Vasquez was an absolute gem! He is very attentive and was a great part of my experience! Herman was also great! He suggested a Peach Habanero Margarita that was out of this world! 1000/10 for these gentlemen! We will be coming back soon!

Google
Great ambience and large seating area. Potato Taquitos (2/5): Not a lot of flavor. Passionfruit Shrimp Ceviche (5/5): Lot of bright notes with both the passionfruit and the mango. Overall the tacos were a bit on the drier side. Would be nice to have some additional sauce. Tamarindo Shrimp Taco (4.5/5): The tamraind sauce adds a nice zesty flavor with the crispy shrimp. Baja Fish Taco (3/5):: Had high hopes for this one but it had very little crema.

Yelp
We dined at Puesto for the first time and it was a great experience! We LOVED the flautas and steak. I ordered a mojito and it was oddly spicy so I told our server Josiah and he had it remade fast and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Great service and great food! Will definitely come back again!

Raquel L.

Yelp
Food amazing ,service was top notch Mark and Herman definitely know what they are doing behind the bar.Our drinks were picture perfect.I would definitely recommend this place . Mark made our visit memorable and Herman is so funny lolol I love this place

Yelp
Service and food was great. Ely, our server, was very attentive to our table! Tacos are pricey but are loaded and quite filling.

Elycia T.

Yelp
Dylan was incredible! Thank you so much for great service! The food was Fantastic, especially the elote! The ambience was great. Love sitting at the bar. Thank you!

Yelp
From the moment you step inside Puesto, you enter a space filled with warmth and bomb Mexican food. The blue corn handmade tortillas alone are worth the trip - their authentic texture and flavor provide the perfect foundation for the tacos. While prices are on the higher side, the quality of ingredients and preparation are totally worth the cost. Service was on point - attentive, friendly staff who made the experience even more chill. The entire team created a welcoming vibe. I'm already planning my return visit to try the flights and take advantage of their Taco Tuesday deal. This gem has earned a spot in my regular rotation whenever I'm in the area. If you're looking for Mexican cuisine that's elevated Puesto is a spot that's absolutely worth it

Yelp
Potato taquitos + puesto perfect margarita. Margarita: good and strong, ample salt. Would order again. Potato taquitos: soft inside, great crunch. Dont miss the guac on the bottom of bowl! Chile oil is amazing, I kept it for the entree (baja fish tacos, not pictured). Ely was straightforward and fast- which I prefer. You ever thought of that time you asked some waiter how they are and they replied with "oh my god, my day, my life, my dog, my mother in law's iguana, my sister's neighbor's boyfriend's college roommate's granma. Not today. Today, I got what I came for. Taquitos, margarita, and taco.

Connie N.

Yelp
do the chilaquiles no longer come with chicken?? The chilaquiles were the only reason i come back but it's definitely not worth it without the chicken!! I love everything else on the menu, and it's affordable during happy hour + taco Tuesday! The restaurant is so nice and hip, definitely perfect for date night I've never had a bad experience. Everyone who's served me has been attentive and nice. I love you guys! pleasee change the chilaquiles back

Yelp
Half off tacos on Taco Tuesday from 3-9pm? I'm there! I've been here a few times for work gatherings and this was my first time going outside of work. Since it was pretty early in the day and the restaurant wasn't that busy, we decided to sit at the bar. For drinks we ordered the Puesto Perfect Margarita and Puesto Negra. The margarita was premade and poured over ice, nothing special. The Puesto Negra was very smooth, not a bad choice for $6 during happy hour! Tacos were overall good. We ordered the tamarindo shrimp, Baja fish, filet mignon, and short rib quesabirria. My favorite was the tamarindo shrimp and my partner liked the short rib quesabirria. A note for next time, I would avoid sitting at the bar (especially if the restaurant has open seats). Service at the bar was not friendly. Very off putting experience :/ Total: ~$94 Tip: Their food is tasty, but not cheap. Check out their happy hour/taco Tuesday deals.

Yelp
Entrées were very good, but they are very expensive. Not a big fan of the lime rice. Really like the tortillas that had some bean and cheese between them. Good place to go for drinks and tapas. Service was spot on, and the ambience was impressive with the high ceilings. Bar was pretty cool.

Udyot K.

Yelp
I live in the neighborhood and had been meaning to visit Puesto. I finally got the chance on Taco Tuesday, and it was a fantastic experience! The restaurant has a beautiful, classy ambiance with dim lighting that sets the mood perfectly. I ordered a michelada, and it was absolutely brilliant. The $5 tacos on Taco Tuesday are an unbeatable deal--I especially loved the fish tacos, which were outstanding, and the mushroom taco, which was delicious as well. The service was quick and attentive, making the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back!

Lisa E.

Yelp
Came here with a big party to celebrate my friend. The ambiance was good, I love that they have really high ceiling. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant but the parking was pretty difficult to find. The service was good. They brought us chips and salsa and I had their short rib enchiladas. They were meaty and decent. It was very filling. Good place if you want a spacious restaurant with good ambiance.

Selena B.

Yelp
Definitely recommend if youre looking for a flavorful elevated mexican dining experience. Chip and salsa provided are solid . Salty chips compliment the strong drinks. If youre in the taco mood. DO IT. I went with the lobster taco, Quesabirria, filet mignon. Favorite was the Filet mignon because they have a melted cheese on top . Passion fruit Mule was my drink of choice. Delicious.!

Stacy L.

Yelp
Super cute spot! I visited Puesto for a night out with my friends. If you plan on visiting, try to make a reservation as it was super busy on a weekend evening. Another thing to note is that it's quite loud if you have young children. The food and drinks were good, but not amazing! The food itself had good flavors but the presentation could use some work. I think the ambiance is quite nice to have some drinks and hang out with friends. I was celebrating a late birthday with friends, and the staff surprised me with a handwritten card with a free taco voucher! Parking is a breeze as it's located in a huge plaza. Definitely a fun spot to have some drinks and apps!

Sabine M.

Yelp
Went here for a work lunch and this place was good! I had a michelada and we had some other drinks. The chips they have are really good! Our shared foods were really good! The ceviches were really good and my tacos were good too. The rib quesabirria one was really good and the mango ceviche was my favorite. I would definitely come back here to try more of their food.

Yelp
I decided to give this place another try after a less-than-stellar first experience, and I'm glad I did! We started with chips and salsa, and the salsa's charred flavor added a wonderful depth and smokiness. For appetizers, we tried the Chilaquiles. They were quite spicy initially, but with some extra crema (which is incredible here), the dish became absolutely delicious. The crema has a unique tangy, garlicky flavor that I couldn't get enough of. For mains, we ordered the shrimp fajitas, which were outstanding. They came with rice, beans, and fresh blue corn tortillas. The tortillas were a highlight--super unique with a fresh, chewy texture that elevated the whole dish. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, seasoned beautifully, and served in a buttery sauce with a tamarind salsa that added a sweet, chutney-like twist I adored. We also tried the fish and chicken tacos. While I'm not usually a fan of chicken tacos, the charred flavor on the meat won me over. The fish taco was equally enjoyable, fresh, and flavorful. For dessert, we had the dulce de leche cake. Its texture might not be for everyone since it's soaked in milk, but I loved how it melted in my mouth. The crispy bits of caramelized sugar on top provided a satisfying crunch against the soft cake. For drinks, we ordered margaritas, which were perfectly balanced--not overly strong but enough to give a pleasant buzz. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, engaging, and described every dish with such mouthwatering detail that I was excited to dig in each time. The atmosphere here is upscale and elevated, making it a perfect spot for a special meal. Overall, this visit changed my perception of the restaurant, and I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Had lunch here with a party of 2 and enjoyed the food a lot. The service was also great. We ordered the birria tacos, ceviche, and corn side. I think out of everything the side of corn was the best. However, giving it 4 stars because the price point was on the higher end for the food we got. Would come back again during happy hour with more reasonable prices

Lydia C.

Yelp
Our server name was Amanda. :) She was super nice and gave us nice recommendations. I love the ambience - super cute for a date night. Couldn't stop eating the chips and guac. Chips and salsa were complimentary. Tacos on Tuesdays are half off :)

Yelp
I grabbed a bite for dinner with friends the night before a 49ers game. I thought it was a nice place, but my friends didn't like it as much as I did. As best as I could determine, my friends were looking for more 'basic' Mexican dishes and Puesto has a more gourmet take on the cuisine. One friend commented that he's never seen a Mexican restaurant that didn't have basic hamburger meat type tacos, for example... another friend was surprised to not see any burritos on the menu. IDK, I'm a pretty flexible person and can adapt to just about anything being on or off any menu... I'm just trying to understand things from their point of view. In a sense, I get it... it's a more upscale take on Mexican. I assume that's intentional on Puesto's part... they are defining their target market where they perceive (or desire) their demand to be. No complaint from me on that. I had the crab and shrimp flautas and thought they were good! But here I was with a group of people who didn't like seafood... so no one else was interested in what I had. They all found something. We survived - lol. The drinks were good - everyone liked those. I wouldn't hesitate to come back next time I'm in the area, but I need to find new friends

Yelp
Hopping Tuesday dinner time with a few biz colleagues. I'm just really here for the guac/chips/marg combo pack. We were at a standup table near the bar area--good (fast and friendly) service from the bar staff. The place has a great vibe and nice decor. The margs were on point. Highly recommend a stop-in when in Santa Clara!

Rochelle D.

Yelp
First of all... this place is beautiful inside (including the bathroom)! Came here for lunch on a Friday and it wasn't busy. I ordered a light lunch that consisted of 2 tacos (tamarind shrimp and chicken Al pastor) with a watermelon margarita. I was surprised that the tacos came on blue corn tortillas which made all the colors just pop. My fave was the shrimp tacos because I love tang. The chicken al pastor were good but I feel like they could have been a bit juicier. The watermelon margarita was as good as it looked. What I loved most about this experience was that I came to catch up with a friend and definitely spent more than an hour just chatting away and we were not rushed to leave. Maybe because it wasn't busy but it really made my experience pleasant.

Malerie C.

Yelp
I came in here on a Saturday night and our server, Monique was extremely attentive and provided great suggestions about the menu items.

Janie G.

Yelp
If you get to choose a server, you gotta ask for Ricky! Super helpful, fun, and just the right amount of hands on (aka didn't bother us too much.) I've been here multiple times but tried the rice for the first time this go around- bomb! Always recommend the surf & turf taco. And this time I tried the Cali taco too. (Both photo'd.)

Sanjali P.

Yelp
I loved the vibe here! The food was delicious and the drinks were even better. I came here on taco Tuesday which was so much fun. The place was packed and the service was so fast. Our server, Sayali, was so sweet and made sure the whole party was well taken care of. The filet mignon had a delicious crispy cheese on top and was a 10/10. The mushroom taco was my favorite!!! I highly recommend. 15/10!!!

Ethan C.

Yelp
I never knew tacos could be so overpriced! Maybe I'm too spoiled by those delicious street tacos that cost a few bucks each, but this place tries to present gourmet upscale tacos and I don't think they justify the exorbitant prices. We swing by on a Friday night and got the Short Rib Quesabirria, Filet Mignon, Ribeye, Chicken Al Pastor, and Lobster Tacos: Short Rib Quesabirria (4/5): This one has juicy quesabirria wrapped in a crispy cheese blanket to cozily tuck it into bed. Probably my favorite one! Filet Mignon (3/5): My goodness what did they do to this filet mignon? It is cooked well-done to the texture of a beefy eraser! Ribeye (4/5): This one has small pieces of ribeye that are well-seasoned and charred. Chicken Al Pastor (3/5): The chicken tinga has good flavor, but it's wet excess of poultry juice leaked and soaked all over the tortilla, making it a soggy affair. Lobster (2/5): The boiled rubbery flesh of these ocean floor-dwelling marine crustaceans didn't smell or taste that fresh -- I've had better frozen lobster from Costco! Would definitely pass on this one. The tacos are definitely smaller than you think, they're the kind you can grab in one hand and finish it in a few bites. I like how they're all served on purple corn tortillas. Service was very friendly and welcoming. The interior is upscale and modern, yet has a relaxed laid back atmosphere. Overall, the tacos are tasty but not worth dropping so much money on -- you're mainly paying for the upscale ambiance and experience dining here. I'd come back for happy hour or Taco Tuesday when the prices are lower.

Yelp
After a day of home improvement projects my husband and I came in dusty, hungry, and wallet-less (but they take Apple Pay!) for a 4:30pm dinner at Puesto. What a pleasant surprise after a day of work! Angelica helped us and she was wonderful, friendly and with great recommendations for food and drink. We started with a Serrano margarita, mango margarita, and chips with salsa and guac. The margs were great, especially the Serrano; at a level three it was likely the spiciest cocktail I've had and I enjoyed it immensely. The chips are homemade and the guac and salsa were also very good. We ordered tacos per Angelica's recommendations and between the two of us, tasty many. All were truly great but the standouts were the chicken Al pastor (so flavorful!), the fish, and the mushroom. We skipped dessert because we were too full but the hazelnut cake sounded very tempting. Puesto is a little pricey given than it's a casual place but with the fun atmosphere and creative flavors and cocktails, I think it was worth it and would be a great date night spot.

Brian L.

Yelp
Given the size and popularity of this spot, I would still dare to say that it is highly underrated. The chips and salsa are some of my favorite- period. The standard molcajete salsa is smoky, flavorful, and super addicting. For $4, you can add a variety of 4 other salsas that range in flavors and heat levels- all of them are very good. The tacos are all very high quality and tasty- each almost better than the last. Some favorites are the fish, ribeye, and tamarind shrimp. Tortillas are homemade, fillings are generous, and flavors are all very well balanced. The only downside is that each tacos is about $10- and they recommend 3 per person. Depending how hungry you are, you could get away with two, as the portions are solid. Other dishes like mole enchiladas are all also quite good. Compared to other Mexican food in the area, and especially the other "higher end" Mexican spots, Puesto stands above.

Yelp
Soooo i'm understanding, but it was also Friday night and we had a larger party with 10 people for my nieces birthday. Our server was very pleasant but not very tented. Lol I guess she wasn't present then but she was polite when she came around. Lol. Perhaps it was a full house on the other side of the restaurant, but they were only four tables I could see with people dining around us. Nevertheless, as we ordered chips and guacamole, I asked if the guacamole had mono sodium glucose, and she didn't know so she said she would get back to me. The chips and guacamole arrived at 7:39 PM I looked for our server and she was nowhere to be found. I actually ended up asking somebody walking by and they said they weren't too sure what was in the guacamole either but they would get the server and get back to me. No one ever came and the rest of the people at the table finish the guacamole. Lol. We were all hungry and quickly ordered our dinners once we got our chips and dip. I asked for two different dishes and found out everything was premixed or had traces/seasoning with mono sodium glucose/MSG I'm highly allergic to it and I'm used to it turning up in Asian and Latin restaurants. Which is very frustrating since those are both my cultures. Lol. Nevertheless, I found I was able to eat the shrimp passionfruit ceviche and chips We FINALLY GOT OUR FOOD AT 8:26p and I was starving! I ate a whole basket of chips to myself with the ceviche. It was delicious fresh and refreshing!! Passionfruit had a very delicious tangy fruit flavor, but I wish I had some red pepper flakes or a little zing to the sweetness. It was delicious and I ate every single drop!! This particular Friday night, they ran out of rice?!? White rice?! Which is hilarious to me, but whatever! Hence, why I ate a whole basket of chips! Since they ran out of white rice and we ordered four bowls, we got some free desserts! Lol the desserts were delicious and perfect since it was my nieces birthday and I also found out if you check in on Yelp, you get a discount!! Which was also pretty good since we all had drinks to go with our meal. Overall, I don't think I'll come back here again since all I can eat is the ceviche, but it does have a very nice atmosphere and a huge drink menu. A lot of the drinks have tequila in it and I'm allergic to that also. Lol I'm a delight I know! Lol.

Jim A.

Yelp
Worth the wait. Had some of the best enchiladas I've ever had. Drinks were great and the flan... THE FLAN! I don't even like flan. My wife ordered it and had me try a bite. I then battled her to the death over the rest of it. As you can see, I am the one writing this review and she is not. The flan was that good, I miss her though. Cool vibe here too. Little loud for casual conversation as they seem to draw large groups. But it kinda fits the setting. ** No spouses were harmed durning this dinning experience **

Thi N.

Yelp
Celebrated a birthday here and we had a great time. The highlight would definitely be the guacamole with pomegranate and chips. Everyone enjoyed their tacos which was a bit pricey but overall good. Service could have been better as we were seated on the patio and had to look for service a few times. I loved the decor and lighting inside.

vonhohenstaufen g.

Yelp
Tacos are tiny, bland, and expensive at $9+ each. A la carte only, so no sides. Ambiance is American, which can be good or bad depending on the experience you want. 4% surcharge if you use a credit card.

Liz P.

Yelp
Our first visit to Puesto was a learning experience, with our server Jonathan being the highlight of the evening--he was fantastic. We did encounter a few mishaps and some disappointment. We ordered guacamole, crab and shrimp taquitos, a lobster taco, a carnitas taco, and the skirt steak. Unfortunately, instead of spacing out the food, my lobster and carnitas tacos arrived before everything else, so we felt rushed to finish our hot meal. From start to finish, the whole experience was about 50 minutes. While the speed of service was impressive, it did feel a bit hurried. The most disappointing item was the carnitas taco, which was dry, with the cheese hard and chewy. The lobster taco wasn't a favorite either, but we really enjoyed the guacamole and the skirt steak. We'll definitely come back to try other dishes, as we love quality Mexican food in a nice ambiance. A quick note on parking--it can get tricky around dinnertime, as Puesto shares a large lot with Whole Foods and Fleming's.

Mary F.

Yelp
Puesto is good, but overpriced for what it is. I've been here several times, but I came here for a group dinner last night and it was clear that they were severely understaffed. People were piled up at the host stand, delivery drivers were trying to figure out what was going on, the hostess would be away for several minutes at a time. This theme continued when we were seated, and then basically only saw our waitress when we were fast enough to flag her down. The tacos are pretty good, the taquitos are pretty good- everything is pretty good, but not GREAT. You won't have a bad meal here, but you will feel like it's just a few dollars too much for the quality. The ambiance and atmosphere is very nice and a great place for a date or celebration.

S K.

Yelp
Great food and amazing service. The tacos are so filling. Thank you Joe K for serving us so enthusiastically!

Mark A.

Yelp
Haven't been back here since they first opened, but got an opportunity for a business lunch here today. Very busy for a Wednesday at noon, so make a reservation if you're coming during the week for lunch. Even the bar fills up fast. Was told it was a 30 minute wait but it only took 10 minutes. - Chips 9/10, you can tell they are house made, crunchy with a perfect amount of salt - Guacamole 8/10, very good quac, you can tell they use fresh ingredients, well seasoned - Shrimp Taco 9/10, This was my favorite, the shrimp was juicy and tender, bursting with flavor. They do add a sweet bbq like sauce but it pairs very nicely. Fish Taco 8/10, battered fish, nice and hot. The salsa and cabbage they add pairs very nicely. Chicken Taco 5/10, this one was not my favorite, the chicken was kind of wet and lacking in favor and texture. The salsa they add did not do much to help. Overall the food is high quality though expensive. Three tacos will run you $30-50 without any sides. The service was attentive and fast, though never felt rushed. The ambience is very elegant and feels upscale yet relaxing.Would go back again for a business lunch, or maybe weekend dinner if in the mood.

Ricky P.

Yelp
I came here for lunch with friends. The decor and atmosphere of the place is great. Customer service was great. Our waitress was good. The chips and dip was good. For the table we get some appetizers. The Puesto Perfect guac mix and it was good. The Potato Taquitos was ok. I order the chicken chilaquiles with a side of herb lime rice and black beans. Sadly this was a disappointment. The chilaquiles was bland and while the menu said it came with cilantro when I got mine and it was not there and when I asked they said it didn't some with it. So ok. Big disappointment. The white rice and beans were ok. I'd come back with a group, but with the higher price it would not be my top pick.

Kavitha R.

Yelp
Loved the ambience, hospitality and the food. The place is in the Santa Clara market square, next to Whole Foods. A lot of parking space is available right in front of the restaurant. The place is pretty spacious and we had reserved seating beforehand, but doesn't look too crowded on a Saturday. The food and the drinks were delicious. My favourite taco was the carnitas and I was a bit disappointed with the Baja fish. The appetizer and the guacamole was delicious too. We ordered 2 desserts and both were really really sweet than the other places I have tried. Overall I would definitely come again for the ambience and food, though it is a bit pricey!

Yelp
It's time for another update! My friend and I looked back and we are coming up on 2 years of regularly hitting up Puesto after our workouts! Crazy how time goes by so quickly! We still keep coming back bc we love this place. We've got our regular crew - much love to Mark B, Johnathan and Jonathan (I am actually not sure if all of the spellings are right but I recall one of them has an h early on- sorry I didn't get last initials! One used to work at the bar but now is mostly with the tables, and the other one is at the bar). This past Sunday, we met Andres H, who was also very nice and went out of his way to make us his own take on the michelada mix bc they hadn't had a batch ready. He brought us over the mix for our thoughts before he made the micheladas - we asked for a bit more mango and spiciness and he delivered! Puesto's micheladas are top tier! (Funny story... we broke and didn't complete dry January last year for the micheladas. This year we didn't even try with dry January lol!) Something we especially love at Puesto is that they make everything from scratch (see: michelada mix). That does mean that they do change up their menu. They used to have this green salsa that I loved as part of their chef's salsa bar but they've since replaced it with a more creamy green salsa (I think it's ok - still great as a set but personally wouldn't get that creamy green salsa by itself). We also got their mango dessert this past weekend to try but we were told it will be taken off the menu soon because it takes so long to make (something like 5 days?!) It was actually delicious with a chocolate bark underneath, and a really nicely sized mango cake (definitely shareable). We ate it too quickly and I forgot to take a picture - oops! If it's still on the menu, give it a chance before it goes away! They also had some special drinks over the holidays (sorry, they have since taken those off the menu) but we enjoyed the champagne ponche and their Nice shots (they had nice or naughty shots- nice had peppermint flavors and whipped cream topping... naughty shots was with fireball, I think!) Hopefully they bring those back next holiday season! Besides that - my friend and I continue, for the 2 years, to get the same thing - we share the chef's salsa bar and we get two tacos (Quesabirria and Filet Mignon). We are always taken care of and always have a great time. Looking forward to more weekends at Puesto!

Yelp
Been awhile since I updated the review. My grandson and I arrived at Puesto shortly after 5 so we knew it would not be an issue getting seated. Was asked if we had reservations, and was asked to wait while our table was prepared. After a few minutes we were seated. Server was on it and brought water, chips and salsa. I ordered a Mezcal Old Fashioned (not on menu) Chicharrones, Chicken Pastor, and Carnitas Tacos. All was very good. Grandson got a Shrimp Taco. Was not a fan of the sauce. Food is pricy at roughly $10 per taco and drinks near $20. Restaurant is unchanged decor wise since built and has held up well.

Yelp
I've been to Puesto before and really enjoyed it! I mostly go because the ambience is fantastic. The music always adds to the experience, the restaurant space is highly decorative and lively. The service was pretty good but our drinks took a bit to come out (our guac came out first). Overall, the food was just OK. We for the mushroom tacos, chicken, and Al pastor. We didn't love how each taco was "covered" or wrapped in fried cheese. It really took away from the flavor of the protein. I've previously had shrimp and filet tacos and those were fantastic so I will probably stick with those!

Yelp
Best servers ever !!!! The atmosphere was beyond amazing:) Came in town for a quick lunch and they did not disappoint!! Drinks : Honeydew Margarita, 2 Mexican Candy Shots , Puesto's Famous Horchata ( Frozen Horchata With Organic Cream 1000/1000 ). Foods: 4 Tacos ( Ribeye , Filet Mignon , Carnitas 2x ). Everything was spectacular and I hope they open in Sacramento

Yelp
My husband and I were in town for the game and came here the first night for dinner. We started with chips and salsa. The chips were perfectly crisp and fresh and the salsa was smoky. We each ordered the Cadillac Margarita and honestly one of the best Margarita's we have had. We both got the enchiladas for dinner even though tacos seem to be the thing here. My enchilada suiza were amazing, crisp and flavorful. The esquites was delicious as well. I wish we had one of these in the PNW! The restaurant is dark but it's a nice ambiance. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back when we are around one again!

Yelp
Came here for HH with a friend and sat at the bar. Service was great and super friendly, while the HH menu had a few options, although limited. Overall food was OK, nothing super memorable or unique, but not bad either - noted though this was only for some lite bites via HH. (1) Guac & Chips - standard, the guacamole was a bit too tart for my preference and could've used more seasoning/spice. (2) Chicken Taquitos - this was OK, flavor was good but meat was def. on the drier side. They were crispy and did come out, nice and hot. Didn't care much for the veggies on top, but the sour cream added a nice touch. (3) HH Margaritas - fair and standard for a margarita. Tart and boozy, with a light salt rim. Overall - if around the area - would prob. stop by for a drink and chips, but I def. wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Yelp
We always enjoy coming here for lunch or dinner with friends. They have a great happy hour as well. Some of my favorites are the mango passionfruit ceviche, tamarind shrimp tacos, lobster tacos, and the steak tacos. The restaurant is quite big but can get very busy during the lunch rush or happy hour

Yelp
Came here for the happy hour on Monday. I like their beer selection . Got puesto Negra which was pretty refreshing Mexican lager. My wife got their passion fruit moctail which was pretty good . It's fresh and made in house. For food we got potato taquitos which I will highly recommend. I specifically liked their chili sauce dip that came with taquitas It's a decent portion and can be shared for a couple. We got their mushroom and verduras tacos . Both were great . Service could have been bit more attentive . Overall was a decent experience and I won't mind coming back

Yelp
Loved the food, ambience & service! We are veggies & there aren't many options but the ones they have are delightful & very appetizing. I definitely recommend the Noguda guac...it's unique & leaves you wishing for more of it! The Verduras tacos are prepared differently (organic tortilla) with potatoes & very flavorful sauce on it. There also a Verduras bowl (hidden menu) which is different from the tacos & very filling. Finally, the desserts (Trea Leches, Choco Flan) are perfect for cleansing your palate! Fyi, you get a free guac/taco if you sign up for texts. There's also a happy hour till 5 pm which we missed & will try to make it next time.

Yelp
We were so fortunate to get a table on Valentines Day for our date so my husband could try Puesto for the first time. We enjoyed the ambiance, the waitress Angelica was friendly and attentive and we loved our food. Everything went great until I accidentally left my two to-go boxes on the table. I had only eaten half of my meal and was soo excited for leftovers. We left the restaurant walked next door to Whole Foods and realized we didn't have our boxes. We went back in to ask if they had saved them to find out they had been thrown away. Now while I can understand this probably happens a lot, I was crushed that they could have held the boxes for just a little bit to see if the people would come back for them. We had even written on the outside of the boxes what was in it for the next day. Unfortunately that sadness really put a damper on my valentine's. I don't know if it's too much to ask, but I felt like customer service would have been apologetic (they didn't not say they were sorry it happened) and amazing customer service would have offered something, gift card, free dessert anything. Again I understand it was my fault for leaving it, but this experience would make me never want to go back.

Yelp
Very beautiful environment on the inside. Went on Tuesday for taco Tuesday 1/2 off tacos! Amazing service, although our section was a lot brighter than the rest of the seating area. Really beautiful decorations. Food was amazing, surprisingly 2-3 tacos is enough to get you very full! Cocktails (margaritas) were also super and very tasty. Service was great as well! Very friendly and helping staff
