"The elegant residential Prati district is home to this equally elegant restaurant, where guests dine in a romantic, subtly lit dining room served by discreet yet ever-present and professional staff. The varied cuisine demonstrates influences not only from Lazio, but also from other places where the chef has worked in the past, with well-constructed dishes prepared from top-quality ingredients." - Michelin Inspector

The 42 Best Restaurants in Rome

"Everyone who knows about food in Rome is talking about Pulejo right now. There are two main demographics here: local foodies who are serious about their next meal, and curious tourists keen to experience this one-starred Michelin restaurant. Everyone’s eating in hushed tones, all their attention focused on the meal at hand. Chef/owner Davide Pulejo’s menu leans into the classics, like ravioli with tomato and roasted red pepper with parmesan, capers and oregano, but there are more modern touches here too, like the eel, grilled and topped with apple and watercress oil or the duck served with chestnuts and sea urchins. You can order a la carte, but we’d go for the 5- or 7-course tasting menu. The desserts are decidedly decadent–don’t leave without trying the rosemary cake, laced with mandarin and vanilla." - Maresa Manara

The food was delicious. I appreciated how the amuse-bouches were presented in a progression from lighter to richer flavors. The use of trout roe was very creative. The incorporating kombu dashi added a distinctly Japanese touch. For a moment I wondered if ponzu had been added, but of course, given that this is a Michelin‑starred chef, that was not the case. Each dish felt thoughtfully crafted and showed a high level of effort. As for the pasta, the addition of vinegar gave it a refreshing quality that reminded me slightly of Korean cold noodles.(Naengmyeon ) However, I felt that a pasta with a more straightforward, clearly defined flavor profile might have been even more enjoyable. The wait staff service was ok. She did not have much knowledge of each food. she poured carelessly, splashing onto the table, and the tea at the end had almost no flavor—it tasted like plain hot water. It made me wonder whether it had been prepared properly. The server’s attitude was not unfriendly, but the overall service felt very careless, which was disappointing. The sommelier, however, was excellent. After we shared our preferences, he selected wines that suited our tastes and clearly explained the price range from reasonable to premium.

We were blown away by the experience at Pulejo from start to finish. There were no misses and all dishes were fantastic with many great new flavour experiences. The team at Pulejo have done a great job and I felt the experience was more 2 star Michelin than one star. Definitely the best 1 star restaurant I've eaten at so far - would not be surprised if they get their 2nd star soon.

Had a beautiful experience here for our anniversary with my husband. Stylish but jot pretentious interior, attentive stuff, great food - on a safe side - but everything was delicious and the wine pairings fit perfectly. You feel like you get more worth for your money, since the 5 course many had extra in-between dishes. Generally very pleasant experience, Michelin star well deserved.

What an excellent restaurant! Incredible staff, exquisite plating, and the perfect balance of elegance and warmth. Every dish felt intentional, beautifully presented but never just for show - flavour always came first. We had the seven-course menu and opted for the wine pairing, which was beautifully curated. Not just complimentary, but genuinely adding to the storytelling of each course. One of the biggest surprises came right at the start with one of the amuse-bouches: tuna belly with Lebanese zaatar, labneh, and gherkins on a mini Man'ousheh. As someone Lebanese, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. We never eat Man'ousheh zaatar with any kind of protein, let alone tuna and gherkins. But it worked. It was fresh, punchy, and totally unexpected - a clever twist that honoured its roots while offering something entirely new. Later, when Chef Davide came out to greet us, he already knew I was Lebanese and asked what I thought of it. We ended up chatting about his inspiration - how he wanted to reimagine familiar flavours in a new context, while still staying true to their origins. That level of thoughtfulness, curiosity, and respect for culinary heritage truly set Pulejo apart. An impressive and memorable experience from start to finish.

Exquisite food. Perfect presentation. Excellent staff and service. We had the 5 course menu and it felt like an 8 course menu. The food kept coming. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more for an amazing experience.

Had a fantastic experience at this elegant, thoughtfully curated spot in the heart of Rome. We chose the 5 courses menu with wine pairings, and each dish was delicate yet packed with bold flavors. The saffron risotto with oxtail was a standout, a true masterpiece. Usually, I’m skeptical about tiramisu in restaurants, but the one at Pulejo was delightful, staying true to classic flavors with a creative twist. The wine pairings were spot-on, and I appreciated the sommelier’s patience in suggesting alternative options for the dessert pairing. Meeting the chef at the end of the meal was a lovely touch, as he personally checked in with each guest. A rare and much-appreciated gesture. Overall, this was definitely one of my top fine dining experiences of the year.

Pulejo was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. We ordered a la carte, and every dish was exceptional. The entire experience was serene and memorable. Although the meal took a little over two hours, it was worth every minute.
