The Best Coffee Shops in Vancouver, Washington | Eater Portland

"The one-hour trip to Yacolt is worthwhile for coffee nerds seeking a bit of history and the chance to chat with owner Todd Millar who spent a year putting together and restoring the oldest operating Probat coffee roaster in the world. A delegation from the Germany and United States offices of Probat took the trip out to Yacolt to verify its authenticity. They believe it was built in 1896. Millar serves hot mugs of hand-pulled espresso made from the medium dark Mocha Java blend of beans fired in his historic roaster." - Rachel Pinsky

I took a wood fired bread baking class with Todd, and it was a stunning experience. The cadence was scheduled perfectly, and everyone was set up for success. The least and most experienced bakers all had a great time. All the food served was top-notch as well. The superb coffee was a bonus. I'm so impressed with the value of the experience. I'll definitely visit again in the future.

Pull Caffe Review – Wood Roasted Perfection I recently heard about Pull Caffe and their unique wood-roasted coffee, so I decided to give it a try—and I’m glad I did. Not only did I enjoy it myself, but I also ordered a batch to share with some of my clients. One of them messaged me saying: “I just tried Pull Coffee’s wood-roasted blend and wow—I’m seriously impressed! The flavor is so smooth with this amazing hint of smokiness that makes it totally different from anything else I’ve had. You can tell it’s made with care.” I couldn’t agree more. The rich, smoky depth from the wood roasting gives it a flavor that stands out in the best way. If you're looking for a unique and memorable gift, this makes an excellent choice for the coffee lover in your life—or a standout client appreciation gift that shows a little extra thought. Highly recommend giving it a try... just don’t blame me when you’re hooked. Order yours today!

EVERYTHING is the best I've ever had! I was happy to hear about this little gem from a friend and learned more about it at my Rotary club. Spent part of an afternoon there with some friends, drank some delicious coffee and enjoyed some amazing bread. Looking forward to my next visit!

I love everything about Pull Caff’e. They are my roaster for my coffee drive-thru and my personal choice for home. Their story is by far the most interesting. You can schedule a tour that I promise won’t disappoint.

Bread baking class is a great experience. Lot's of fun and you learn how to bake bread! Of course, the coffee is good - you should get some. It's a nice drive out here from where ever you are.

Having been in the food industry and roasting coffee since 1995, I can tell you that Pull Caff’e is a hidden gem. Todd’s commitment to artisan and quality goes beyond 99% of the people in the food industry. From the years of time to find a vintage roaster and restore it to use wood fuel to roast coffee to making his own wood fired oven. We have conversations monthly about the very best way to use fresh milled flour to create wild yeast sourdough bread. His bread class on Eventbrite is a bargain if you have any interest in knowledge and passion about wood fired baking and sour dough bread.

What an awesome experience at Sourdough Saturday! A bunch of friendly people, breads to try (and buy) and delicious coffee! Todd is super friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to make my way out to Yacolt again for more of the coffee and bread! I can't wait until next month!

Yelp
This hidden gem is worth the drive. The owner gave us a tour of the facility, answered questions and shared the history of the roaster and the process. What a treat. We were able to sample the coffee and on Friday from 2-5 pm, he offers fresh baked sourdough from a wood fired oven. Call or text to reserve a loaf. The coffee is fantastic and there service even better... We will be back.

Yelp
Todd is a master roaster and coffee historian. His coffee hits the right notes and the bread was exceptional. This place is worth the scenic drive and Todd is incredibly friendly and eager to show you his establishment.
