I love this venue! The atmosphere, employees, patrons everyone is so very friendly and welcoming to us every time we’re down there from Ventura.We always make it a point to visit our favorite brewery Pure Project, whether it’s in Vista or Carlsbad. We absolutely love the vibe with the patrons, employees and the many friendly dogs!

Such a great brewery! Love that they brew every single thing on the menu and there are some crazy options to choose from. Would highly recommend the smoothie beer! Will be back!

We enjoyed this place so much, reasonable price, variety of taps you can choose from and our beer-tender was friendly and knowledgeable! I forgot to ask for his name but yeah we will definitely go back! Ps. The hard smoothie (Früt Riot) was AMAZING!

Such a cool vibe here! Great location... AMAZING beer! We tried quite a few selections... My favorites were definitely the Fingers of Gold which is their version of a hazy IPA and their Milagro which was a stout. Definitely coming back on our next trip to SD...

Great brewery. Family friendly- it is next to an ice cream shop and has picnic outdoor seating to enjoy the weather. Enjoyed everything we tried in our flight so whether you like an easy drinker or like a unique sour, they have it. Thanks to Joe and Ernie for a warm welcome and friendly service.

Brian and Joe were great. We told them what we had last trip and they guided us to selections that we would like. We would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Great location and outdoor atmosphere. Their menu leans heavy towards IPAs and hoppier beers and I prefer lighter drinks. I was still able to put a flight together of good beers.

Visiting from Seattle and specifically targeted Pure Project as one of our brewery stops. It did not disappoint. 👍. Ernie and Joe were friendly and hospitable. After a flight, we grabbed a pint of the Kernza Lager and even bought some tinnies to go. Nice environment and thanks for putting soccer on too!

This place is perfect to come relax and get a drink during the week or on the weekend. We are always treated so well and appreciate Lauren, Remy, Harry, Joe, and Cole for always going above and beyond to help us out and find what new drink we would like on tap. HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in the area or coming to visit wanting a drink!

Stopped in because it was close and has a 5 star rating. Been to many breweries but this was disappointing. There were 4 of us. We had 3 flights of various beers. Most were pushing the envelope in taste and flavors. I thought most were too light and fluffy for my tastes. Even the darker brews were a bit sweet and over the top with chocolate and coffee. The lager I had was ok but the finish remained me of the smell of a plastic beach ball. The beers I sampled tasted odd to me as I prefer more straight forward bold and smooth brews. Not having any food was disappointing but we knew that going in. I give a well deserved shout out to the young woman who guided us along. She is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. If you like unusual craft beers and brews this place is for you. I'm not a big beer guy so it wasn't my kind of place. On the other hand, my brother loves dark beers but regretfully, he wasn't to impressed either. Most of the beers I sampled were weak and just plain strange. My 32nd(!) brewery visited during my 10-week Summer Vacation in America, I have heard nothing but good things about Pure Project, so decided to save it for last. Rode my bicycle 60 miles to get here, down the absolutely gorgeous Southern California coast, and without a doubt, the journey was worth it. Went with a Hazelsaurus Rex (5 oz. because I'm prolly dehydrated). More importantly, and a testament to the level of this brewery "project" I got a bottle to take with me back to Beijing. Best brewery in San Diego amongst a host of champion breweries. Carlsbad spot is a sweet place to hang out and drink excellent, well made beer. Service by Lauren and Joe is tip top. Full of knowledge and very engaging.

Good variety of beers with a couple wine options. It can get really busy depending on baseball season but generally it is pretty chill. Beers rotate so your favorite may not be here a second time. The team is knowledgeable and can help anyone out

Visited this spot during my birthday weekend and the openness of the space brings the vibes. I was able to watch my Steelers, so that was also a big plus. Loved that they have plenty on tap, so there's definitely something for everyone.

Love Pure Project beers. I'm a sucker for stouts and Pure has the best ones. And when they have barrel aged ones, even better! Like the one I had yesterday; it was called "In For The Night". It was strong, boozy, thick. Chocosaurus Rex is my usual go-to I love the bench tables outside. Our big group was able to congregate and chat away in a relaxed, chill spot.

Top brewery in the area by far. Really can't go wrong with any of the brews. Cool staff, cool vibes. Tropical mist and any of the Booches on the menu is my go-to...

Really cool brewery. There are so many good options, my favorite was the nitro. The employees were all really nice and even let us sample some of their other beer options. They also have a slushy beer. The vibes here are super chill and it's a nice spot to hangout. The cool part is they let you bring food from outside so you can have a bite and continue drinking.

My fav brewery for over 6 years now. Lauren and Harry are often there when i go. Great beer tenders, highly recommended.

Best beers in Carlsbad village and the immaculate vibes from the amazing staff, can't choose a favorite staff member but gotta shout out Harry, Lauren, Remy, Cole, Shana, Kylie, Tommy have all made this a place I want to spend my time and bring my friends. This brewery is a must visit. The beertenders are amazing and so knowledgeable about their beer and super amicable. The beer is delicious and there are so many options to please everyone's palate. Locals are so friendly. Just a really positive atmosphere. Highly recommend this brewery.

I've been over in Guam for a few months at a time and have had cravings for all the great brews ( new ones and their staples) and coming back this time they didn't disappoint ! The crew was very friendly and as always super helpful and the place was busy on this Sunday afternoon Found a spot to watch the football game and sip some cold goodness just minutes from home Looking forward to dropping in a few more time while I'm home for week

Great Ambiance with indoor, outdoor and patio seating. Plenty of space to feel comfortable. The employees were friendly and welcoming. The beer selection was great! Something for everyone. I got a nitro beer and it was bold but very smooth. They don't serve food but you are allowed to bring outside food (just make sure you clean up after yourself.) Keep this place nice and clean. Overall, would defn come back here again.

Originally from Northern California and have not been able to find a good smoothie style beer until I have came here! Came here and had nothing but a great experience!! They have such great beers and such an amazing ambiance here!! Love coming here!! DJ helped us tonight and made our experience here great and also helped us with choosing our beers for the night!

This review is for the Rugby World Cup~~Official Legion Watch party event. Thanks Pure Carlsbad for hosting SD Legions official watch party so us Rugby fans & some new & former players had a local place to meet up. The New Zealand and South Africa final was intense. We arrived right before kickoff and the place was packed and ready for the match. Harrison was our brew tender and happily let me have a couple splashes so I could better choose my brew. Remi stayed busy attending to the entire event and the guests. Staffers were great handling it all. Remi was the catalyst to having a sports bar vibe for rugby in particular. I can understand the concerns for being that type of venue however rugby fans are of a different culture and camaraderie. And competitive brawls are very very rare when it comes to cheering for an opposite team. So thank you again for taking a chance on us and allowing an actual sports event here. No matter what Pure we visit the quality of their brand never disappoints. We'll be back.

We searched on Yelp and found this place while out on our long bike ride. We often look for a place half way during our ride. Enjoyed the atmosphere as it was mixed with indoor and outdoor seating. Decorations featured local artists. No food so bring your own. We will be back

Holy great beer Carlsbad! Pure Project couples a fantastic staff with delicious brews for a memorable experience. I suggest trying a flight to find your favorites. From the farmhouse saison to the Uncovered Roots (a purple stout with cacao, coconut, and coffee), to any number of IPAs (including their version of hazy...murky). I know you'll find your beer jam here!

Beer: Tasty Soooo many types to choose from. Service was awesome! Lots of great looking merch to choose from. Also, the chairs there are comfy. It's a favorite for sure.

First time coming here. The place is nice and had a nice vibe. I wouldn't mind coming back. The service is great. He recommended I try the hard smoothie beer. It was very tasty and a pretty color.

I've passed the Pure Project in Carlsbad Village hundreds of times but I stopped in the other weekend with a friend and I'm glad I did! I'm not a big beer drinker but I was able to try one of their summer beer slushies and it was delicious. This location did not have food for sell but they did allow outside food on site so you can stop at one of the many near by restaurants. The staff was great and talked us through the different beers and offered us tasters before we ordered so we knew exactly what we wanted.

Great beer and good vibes! I recommend the Spritz Aperitivo for my Kombucha lovers 10/10.

I have always loved pure's beers when I am not even big on beer.. the location my husband and I (and friends family) usually go is the Mira Mesa location in San Diego area but we love visiting Carlsbad once in a while and we stop by here when we visit. This location has a much better area to accommodate more people. It's also located in a somewhat nice business center with other cool restaurants/stores nearby. Today my husband got diamond dust and the I choose yuzu (Japanese beer). Both tasted great! As I said, was never disappointed before. All of their beers/other type of drinks taste awesome. Price is a bit higher than other breweries but I believe it's for a reason. Highly recommend to try out pure regardless which location.

Good beer and awesome ambiance! Staff were kind and informative. They have firepits for cooler nights and some heaters outside.

This is one of my favorite brewery taprooms in San Diego County. It has a nice array of open-air and patio seating with a panoramic view of some of the downtown area in Carlsbad Village. The construction and interior design are mostly wooded, giving it a natural outdoors feel. During my most recent visit, I enjoyed a flight of five tasters, of which, Corylus (2023) stole the show. This is a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with hazelnut, cacao, and coffee--clocking in at 13.4% ABV (alcohol by volume).

Lavender Haze to Dark Stouts this place is a must stop when in Carlsbad. No kitchen but they welcome in outside food. Right behind the Handles ice cream in town. Outside seating with fire and heaters.

Service and ambience! 10/10 come have a beer here. You can even bring in your own food which I thought was pretty cool!

Amazing location in central Carlsbad with great service and quite possibly the best IPA's and other delicious craft beer styles including barrel aged stouts and sours.. open air hip vibes with patio drinking and for those not inclined to imbibe a Handel's gourmet ice cream shop just next door and amongst the hippest of SoCal's micro and local downtown scene!!
