16 Fun Bars With Things To Do Besides Drink - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Puttery is a fun West Loop lounge where you can drink while playing putt-putt on a date or “building synergy” with coworkers. There are two nine-hole courses to choose from, The Library and The Lodge, and both have cute designs and obstacles like giant books or a grizzly bear. Puttery is great for killing time during a two-hour wait for a table at Au Cheval, or post-meal hang after eating at any of the other excellent spots nearby. And if you’re a little hangry after hitting five strokes over par (understandable), the pizza and filet mignon sliders at Puttery are satisfying in a pinch." - josh barnett, john ringor

The Best Places in Chicago for an Affordable Date Night

"Mini golf is a date night classic and couples can play without dealing with kids or worrying about the weather at Puttery. The library and ski lodge-themed nine-hole courses are full of whimsical decorations and there are spots to rest a drink when it’s time to putt. Between games, grab a seat on the rooftop or by one of the four bars for sliders, pizza and a decadent smores skillet. Make a reservation here." - Samantha Nelson

Puttery - Review - West Loop - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Puttery labels itself as a “mini golf lounge.” Meaning, it’s a fun West Loop spot where you can drink a beer or cocktail while playing putt-putt on a date, or with coworkers in the name of “synergy.” There are two nine-hole courses to choose from, The Library and The Lodge—both of which have cute designs and obstacles like giant books or a polar bear. They also have a dining area and an eclectic menu of dishes like pizza, gyoza, and lamb sliders—all of which are fine. But considering that there are tons of great restaurants nearby, we recommend saving this place for a group activity, or when you have two hours to kill while waiting for a table at Au Cheval." - John Ringor

I made reservations to celebrate my husbands birthday. As we entered the building the young lady was pleasant! We had a choice to go to the 2nd or 3rd floor. We went to the 3rd floor and the place was nice, clean, and the view was great too. They also have seating outside but it was too hot to sit out there lol We choose our own seat and our waiter Chris had a great sense of humor and a nice smile. He was also attentive. We ordered a smash burgers with fries and my daughter ordered a portobello sandwich. All of us cleaned our plates!! The food was delicious, the (drinks) margarita compromise and the tranquilizer was good too. We also played miniature golf on the 2nd and 3rd floor!! We had so much fun!!

Google
It was my first time here. Went for a summer work outing, we were told we had the whole 3rd floor, but when we arrived, the patio was not open and didn't open until the last hour or, so we were there. Our party arrived on time for the event, and then we still had to wait another 20 minutes before we could even go in because they said they were still setting up. Once we did get in and found were to sit, they still didn't have everything set up. The food and drinks were okay but not great. They only had 2 bartenders for almost 100 people, and I had to wait like 10 minutes just to order every time I wanted one, and they were not that great each time. The place itself is nice looking but could use moor cleaning, and the putt-putt was fun but a bit confusing at first, and there was no one around to ask for help. Once we all figured it out, it was okay, but I'm not sure if it was worth the price and effort.

Google
Really cool atmosphere that feels like a old style speak easy with drinks and food but with the added adventure of mini golf! 2 courses of 9 holes that are uniquely themed. The screen tech for keeping score was really cool. Would have been 5 stars but can’t keep a tab open across different floors of golf, and the service seemed overwhelmed even though it didn’t seem very busy. Hard to get drinks ordered.

Google
This places looks cool but my spouse and I were told we could not play on 3rd floor course around 8:15pm on Sunday after a private event finished and the guests left. A male employee with long curly/wavy hair said that the floor was closed for cleaning but Puttery doesn’t closed on Sundays until 10pm. The course itself wasn’t dirty or cluttered. So, cleaning would take an hour and 45 mins??? This was rude of that employee and a waste of money. My spouse and I kept an open mind about his place but it is overrated and overpriced. Also gotta mention the young woman on the first floor who looked like she could not be bothered take our entry payment. Poor customer service at this establishment. The bathrooms were nice and clean though.

Great place for a drink and a round. The golf courses they have are okay but the environment is done well. Very cozy sophisticated appeal that makes it a fun relaxing place. Give it a try!

Google
Fun mini golf, very unique concept and designs. The screens were simple enough to keep score. Unfortunately the dining side of things could use some help. First, we were told to go to the second floor. We waited for about 15 minutes, and I had to go to the bar and ask for someone to wait on us. The guy at the bar was like, “Not until later.” I asked for more specifics on when we would get a server and he admitted he didn’t know, just not until later. I was even more confused. Just then, the waiter happened to walk out. The waiter said he thought our reservation was for 5:15, even though it was 5:00. We ordered our food, and it was decent. Very few menu items were actually available to order, which was really strange and frustrating. Just the pizzas and the sandwiches and a few appetizer options. No pasta tonight. The pizza was good (a little burnt on the crust, though.) The salsa was a little bland and looked like puke in my opinion. Weird color for a salsa. Guac was fine. Fries were good. Our waiter was nice and brought us food in a timely manner, but was not attentive to us. We sat waiting for a long time to get to-go boxes so we could start playing. I eventually had to track him down to get his attention. The sad part is that there were maybe only 2 other tables besides us. We didn’t even get offered refills on our water. I really wanted to love this place, but the staff was just disorganized and unprofessional in our opinion. You shouldn’t have to hunt down your server. My wife and I paid 40 bucks each for the Eat & Play, and we were expecting much better service.

Google
The puttery is a vibe place to go with friends or on a date. It cost $25 for unlimited play for both floors. We were there about 3 hours taking a small break in between floors to sit on the roof top and hydrate plus try a mocktail. The lodge felt more open and airy with all the light coming in. The library was dark and had more people. It was also a bit rowdy. I also noticed a lot of dust and my friend was feeling allergy’s. HOW TO PLAY: grab a ball and club. There are kid size clubs. Find hole 1. Touch the screen and type in each players name. (Groups of 4) place the ball in the middle of the p and try to make it on the hole in the least amount of hits. Count as you go then select how many tries it took y’all. Once everyone’s scores are entered it will move your stuff to the next screen when it is your turn.

I came here on a Thursday evening. There was a good crowd, the vibe was fun but comfortable. I thought the mini courses were designed very well for the indoor space. The service was attentive. Definitely a unique experience for within Chicago/west loop, so I would definitely recommend you check it out!

Yelp
I came here for a rooftop party and was mainly on that level, which I think is the third floor. There is a lot of space. It had a cool vibe and allows everyone to be spread out. The outside, the rooftop itself was a bit small. I also love the vibe of the 2nd floor,m which I went to quickly to get a drink. On the rooftop, the bartenders were overwhelmed, to say the least. There were mainly two of them, but overall there were three. There drinks were good but the service could have been better if they had four bartenders at this event. The DJ was very good and we had a great time dancing, laughing and singing along with the music.

Yelp
This was my second Puttery experience, but first at the Chicago location. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of instructions given by staff. Although I've been before, this location was a bit trickier to navigate. It took some time for me to track down a staff member who could direct me on where to go and what to do. Once that was settled we enjoyed the different courses. It was pretty crowded on a Friday evening so be prepared to wait a little.

Yelp
Food: in one word, weak. The pizza was the best thing we had. No blue cheese dressing for wings, they were out of ginger beer and unable to make a Moscow mule, also out of guacamole so the chip/dip came with bland caramelized onion dip. Basically, average American bar food, nothing special. I would recommend going for a drink and golf, eat somewhere else. There are plenty of awesome food options nearby. The ambiance is impressive, lots of attention to detail and decor. The putt course was slammed, lots of waiting and crowding. Still fun, but try to go during off hours because it was too crowded.

Yelp
This place has such a fun ambience, many drinks, and tasty food! I came here on a a Saturday night and it wasn't too packed. It cost $25 to have unlimited play at the courses. There is one course on the main level and one on the top level. I will say it took quite some time waiting in between each turn as there are other teams ahead of you but the nice thing is you can walk around with your drink and there's places you are able to set them down at. Upon arriving I was told we could sit down anywhere and a waiter would come - that did not happen and turns out we had to walk up to the bar and ask for a waiter. We ended up ordering our food and drinks at the bar and carrying it over to our table. I had a tasty gin drink and a delicious creamy chicken and mashed potatoes with broccoli. There was some sort of issue with my card being charged 4 times when I paid for my food - but they had the manager come out and he was able to give me his information incase it did not get resolved which i appreciated the fast and kind service.

Yelp
I'm giving 2 stars because I didn't try mini golf here, so my rating is mostly on service. We came to eat and also to mini golf, but the entry and food service process sort of took the wind out of our sails. The golfing did look cool, however. The rundown is: we walked in Saturday, 11/16, @ about 5:10pm, and saw a group of about 10 people in the small lobby. My friend, who had been there multiple times before, ushered me up the stairs. The hostess called to us and specifically said you need to come back down the stairs and wait in line. We found this rude and got some sympathetic looks from a couple in line ahead of us. That was the first red flag. A couple came in after us and also complained about the wait to go upstairs. Once we arrived at the bar on the third floor, we sat for ten minutes without any acknowledgement. We finally asked the bartender if we could order. She apologized and asked us to wait a little more. Finally a bartender took our orders and advised us to move to a nearby table for more comfortable seating. So, we did. After receiving half of our order, we were asked to relocate to another section because where we were seated was reserved for a private party. An employee helped gather our food and we gathered our plates and belongings to go to another section. This was so awkward. Another huge misstep was that the restaurant was missing key food items. My friend ordered a salmon salad, only to be told they were out of ingredients needed to make it. She switched to a green goddess salad. Then, they said they were out of green goddess dressing and brought ranch instead. Because she doesn't like ranch dressing, she asked for a vinaigrette. They brought adobo vinaigrette, very spicy, which she didn't like and it didn't complement the flavors of the salad she had. So, she boxed her salad to take home to dress it herself. Beautiful place; would be nice for a date or a group outing. However, the service and food experience were very lacking.

Yelp
I visited this indoor mini golf course because I was on a company outing. The place was organized and I love the digital screens at each hole. We had food and it was very tasty. The staff was friendly. If I lived in the area I would go back.

Yelp
Five stars for swankiness, cleanliness, etc. Two stars for price. Chicago, while cheaper than Alaska, does appear to follow a trend where restaurants are cheaper than entertainment venues. Entertainment venues seem to fall into a couple categories. Ballpark prices, and other entertainment categories (theaters, golf, live shows, arcades). Ballparks are, by far, the most expensive. Venues seems to vary. But the Puttery, was, by far, the most expensive. It gives off a swanky vibe but it is, in short, a tiny putting course and really expensive fare. None of the other locations visited in Chicago were as pricey. The putting course contains really small, really short courses. And 9 of them. There is an electronic scoring system that doesn't allow anyone to get out of order.

Yelp
I had a GREAT TIME here!!! Unlimited mini golf for $15 is an affordable deal and this place is so nice. The decor is insanely well done. This location had two floor themes: The Lodge and The Library. Both were equally as fun to play and easily could be done within an hour or two. I was especially impressed with the technology they had in here! Not only could you keep score on tablets, it would follow you to each hole that you go to. So convenient and it's fun to compare scores on the leaderboards!! Our bartender was great in recommending drinks for us and he didn't skimp on the alcohol! Well made cocktails on the 3rd floor. There's a ton of seating in the area if you want to dine-in. Also, a great patio with views of West Loop!

Yelp
Puttery is super unique and a great place to visit to have some fun! My girlfriend and I came here after bottomless brunch and had so much fun. For unlimited play it was $56 for the two of us. There are 3 floors with two courses. The courses are so cool as they have their own themes. They are challenging enough to get the friendly competition going. There are multiple bars though out and plenty of seating for lounging or eating. We did not get any food or drinks but from what we seen everything looked good. The interior is so beautiful with lots of photo ops. Before we even started putting, we spent about half an hour just taking pictures haha. We went on a Saturday at around 3:00 pm so it was pretty busy but not overly crowded. We did not have to wait to putt for a very long time which was nice. There were other couples, families, and birthday parties. Check this place out, it's a fun time for any occasion.

Yelp
What a fun time in Chicago! My husband and I snuck away for a night in the Windy City for my birthday this February. We were a little iffy on what the weather would bring, so we planned some fun indoor activities including the Puttery! The decor was trendy and fun with lots of space to lounge, eat and socialize. There are two different courses to pay and I recommend them both. We ordered food in between games and I have to say, I enjoyed the food at Puttery just as much as the dinner we had later that evening. Street parking, a little pricy, no kids allowed and lots of fun!

Yelp
Such a fun place! The courses are so unique and just fun. Plus can challenge for the best score of the day with the records on the tv, great beer selection and prices are pretty fair. Overall atmosphere is just fun and a great location as well! Defiantly worth checking out. Service has always been super friendly

Yelp
Second visit and will not be my last. Whether it's unwinding after work or impressing a first date, Puttery gets a 10/10 for me. With each course having it's own theme, Library or Winter Wonderland, boredom is simply not an option. Even for an avid putt-putt player, I had so much fun and was instantly humbled but who doesn't like a challenge. Amber, the bar tender, gave some great recommendations and overall the staff's helpfulness added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. Can't wait for my next visit!

Yelp
This was such a fun and cute indoor mini golf setting catered towards adults. Two different themes on two different floors each with their own full bars. There's also a restaurant/ cafe but we only came here for the mini golf to escape the cold winds. Anyways, very good way to spend an hour or two with friends here and putt up some laughs. The digital scorecard is also a nice touch but that also means every group has to play in order. Would come back.

Yelp
A rainy day in Chicago lead us to spend an afternoon at the Puttery. Based on price we did the unlimited golfing. The courses are small, so you end up waiting for people longer than it takes to finish the hole. Bar service was nice and I appreciated servers walking around while you are golfing. Do not order the chips and salsa. The salsa was basically marinara sauce and the chips were seasoned by bland all the same time. We also ordered the hot honey sausage. There was zero spice/kick to the pizza. Overall the idea of the Puttery is really cool. Way more upscale casual than I was anticipating.
google avatar

Dave W.

Yelp
We were looking for something fun to do on a rainy Monday night during our trip to Chicago and discovered this place. The facility is huge with bars and tables throughout the whole place. The staff were very friendly and made sure that we had a great time. In particular, Aariah and Mack made our visit a blast! To be clear, this is definitely an adult establishment. The two courses are both fun to play. The themes are fun and some of the holes are very challenging. The electronic scoring was super helpful and meant that you didn't have to worry about using those silly little pencils that most mini golf places have. It was pretty empty the night we were there, but I imagine the courses can get pretty clogged up on busy nights.
google avatar

Krupa S.

Yelp
The lower rating is more so for the experience of my group. The food and service are severely lacking. The mini golfing is a lot of fun, there's 2 floors with 9 holes each. The ambience feels like a vintage library on the second floor and a snowy cabin on the third. However, I highly suggest against getting the play and eat package. After playing 18 holes, we placed an order for 2 pizzas and 1 order of veggie tostadas. 1 hour into waiting for the food, when we inquired about it, we were told it was on its way. 30 more minutes pass by, and we are told the veg tostadas have sold out. 10 minutes after that (so it's now been over 1.5 hours), we get the veggie pizza. 20 minutes after that, we were told the Margherita pizza was sold out. I don't understand why it took so long for them to inform us that they were out of some of their menu items. It would have been nice to be informed. Other parties who ordered around the same time as us had the exact same experience. While it was nice to be refunded for our experience, it is ridiculous to wait 2 hours for 3 menu items to receive 1 and be told the others are sold out. While the place was cool, after this experience, will not be coming back.

Yelp
great place to visit if the weather sucks outside. the food is ok, the service is awesome. if the weather is nice though plenty of things to do in the west loop

Yelp
My friends and I came here a few months ago and we had a pretty poor time here. Also it was kind of crazy that they had us tip $18 before we even walked in... and the staff wasn't there the majority of our visit! I don't really know why but for some reason, the staff kept leaving and we had to ask the poor bartenders on both floors for help. The staff member who finally showed up and registered us in the system couldn't care less and took a while to get everything situated. Also there was a party that ended before we got there, so there were some drunk people who were confused and walking on the holes to find the bathroom. They were pretty nice though so no complaints for that of course. We started on the top floor and whoever designed it must hate people. It looks pretty shabby and the holes are just extremely rugged and poorly thought out. It was funny how on the last hole, there was a graveyard of balls that fell into the tree area that was oddly there. When we went to the library course, we knew that all of the budget was probably spent on that since it was extremely nice. It was so pretty and fun to play on! We did have to ask the bartender again to find a staff member though to start. The people before us ended up leaving on hole 2 and the staff member quickly took them off the system so we didn't hold the rest of the people behind us up which I appreciated. I did think it was weird it switched to some laser tag galaxy theme on the last few holes, but it probably cost a lot to make the library part so I understand. That course was super fun and enjoyable to play. Overall, the staff situation was disappointing but the bartenders were awesome when it came to helping us find staff. Even though the library course was super cool, I don't think it was worth it for the price and our experience there.

Yelp
The food is a lot better than we expected with big portions, and options for different preferences and diets Service is attentive and the 2 courses were challenging and a lot of fun. It's a fun environment and great for friend get togethers

Yelp
Out of carrots out of queso chorizo! $20 for chicken and carrots and they gave me a scary looking pale vegetable no carrots. YUCK. Nothing for birthdays either and don't expect anyone to ever answer the phone.

Yelp
What do you get when you cross two, hard-working ladies who have watched the summer go by without partaking in everything Summertime Chi has to offer, with the Puttery Chicago? A perfectly, chill and delicious damn good time! My homegirl and I set out on an adventure one Friday like two mapless Conquistadores in the night. After wandering our neighborhood of Hyde Park, only to come up empty-handed, I called a friend who suggested Fulton Market. Oh yeah! I remember Fulton Market...that hip and happening stretch of amazing restaurants, bars and nightclubs in the West Loop. Let's do it!!! We found a prime parking space on Halsted and Randolph and set out on our journey. It was actually kind of overwhelming trying to navigate the many options and long lines, but as we were passing Puttery Chicago, we were intrigued. No long lines, an unassuming, speakeasy-like entrance and a friendly doorman. We asked a few questions and when the GM appeared at the entrance and encouraged us to come in, that's what we did. We tentatively made our way up to the 2nd level and queried the hostess about the haps. She suggested we go to the 3rd floor to enjoy a more laidback rooftop vibe. We enter the 3rd floor space and knew we found our tribe! Old school hip hop blaring through the speakers, a few people enjoying some rounds of miniature golf and a lovely, uncrowded bar overlooking the rooftop. We take our seats and check out the menu. My girl chose the Lemon Drop cocktail and the fire shrimp; I, the BBQ on a Saturday Night cocktail and lamb sliders. Our very friendly bartender chatted us up and answered all our questions about The Puttery. Our cocktails and food were absolutely amazing!!! The ambiance and music were perfect. If you're looking for a place in Fulton Market that is for grown folks, I highly suggest this place. I'll be back!

Yelp
This is a super fun spot whether it is a team building event which is what we did, a date night, or a night with friends, Puttery has it all. It has a sexy upscale vibe with a bit of low key fun built in. The food and drinks are great and they do have options for gluten-free and those who don't do cows milk but can do sheep and goat cheese. We had a charcuterie and a few drinks with a round of putt putt before our dinner across the street. The service was great at the bar. I would love to be able to have more time to spend here. We will be back!

Yelp
Puttery is a cool concept. Mini golf is a lot of fun, and it's cold in Chicago most of the year so why not put it inside? Add in a few bars and you're absolutely cooking. Unfortunately, you'll probably spend most of your time waiting in line as the mini golf gets super crowded and you need to wait for the people in front of you to move along. The drinks are also kind of expensive (but that's Chicago for you) so take note of that.

Yelp
I didn't eat anything or play golf. This review is for looks and service only. Fantastic!

Yelp
Catching up on Yelp reviews for 2024. I visited Puttery back in January as I always wanted to try it since I saw it on Barstool. This is a two part review as I played both courses and I ate some food. I made a reservation for me and my friend on a Saturday afternoon. Since it was the weekend, there were definitely a lot of people there. Let's start with the golf! Extremely cool vibe and concept. The Library was soo freakin cool and the Lodge was a good course as well. The Lodge was definitely the tougher course. Both courses are easier than Big Mini Putt Club - Wicker Park. Your putter is essentially a real golf putter, unlike the old school mini golf colored putters, which I kind of miss for nostalgia. Cost was about $25 for unlimited golf, which is a pretty good price. Each round took about 30-45 minutes as there were a lot of people. It was a big place and they have multiple bars and it looked like they have an outdoor patio for summer, upstairs near the Lodge course. Puttery opened about a year or two ago so it's relatively new and super nice. Mini golf and the vibe is definitely a 5/5. After golfing both courses, we had some food. Old Fashioned was pretty solid and cocktails were about $15. Beer and food is overpriced, but it's the West Loop. I ordered the Double Smashburger with fries. Food took absolutely forever, like 30+ minutes, so someone definitely forgot about it. Presentation looked fine, but it was cool/cold. I was pretty hungry so I was going to eat it anyways; however, I should have sent it back as my stomach was a little queasy afterwards. I was fine, but since the food took forever as it was forgotten, the burger patty was definitely not at the right temperature. Bun was extremely dry due to my issue. Patty was actually juicy, but again not the right temperature. Toppings were the best part. LTO was super fresh, pickle was good, and the cheese was melted to perfection and had good flavor. This was a terrible burger because it was forgotten, but if it was served to me on time, it had potential to be in the high 6's/low 7's. Fries were not crispy, but they had good seasoning. Bun: 4 Patty: 0 Toppings: 7 Overall: 3.67 Overall, come for the mini golf and the food/service could be much better. Food has potential to be good. I thought service was poor/bad. The employees for the mini golf were not hospitable and seemed like they hated their jobs. The guy at the front door was the friendliest and gave us information on how Puttery worked. Food came out extremely slow and pretty much got me sick. Bartenders barely did their job, I didn't think they were friendly and they never checked in. Another Yelper said that they were socializing with each other the entire time instead of doing their jobs and I would agree (reminds me of the staff at King's Bowl). Also, there were no TVs on the third floor bar. This was definitely an issue for me as it would have been great to watch some sports while we ate. Mini golf price was good, but the price of food/drinks is expensive due to the location in the West Loop. I really enjoyed the mini golf and will be back to play (and would recommend), but I will have to try some other food and maybe even skip the food. I will be attending Puttery again this week for a work event so we shall see if it has improved. Allie helped me out and was great to work with!

Yelp
Absolutely blown away by the Puttery - what a fun place for a drink and activity! We stopped by on a Friday afternoon- it wasn't too crowded- and got ourselves a drink. It overlooks Randolph street and will be amazing in the summer! The drinks were great and well-priced... most importantly, you can drink and play mini golf! We had a great game in the library area (on the second floor). It's a par 3... and i think I'm just terrible because it took me way more than 3 shots haha. We'll be back!

Yelp
This was really disappointing. They were out of at least 4 menu items and the food we did receive was almost inedible. The ceviche was awful. Service was average. Kind of a strange atmosphere.

Yelp
We were in the west loop area and wanted something fun to do indoors and found this place near us! It's an indoor mini golf spot with 2 courses - library and ski lounge. We were told that the library course is more difficult than the ski lodge course so we ended up going with the library one! There are 3 floors so it can be a bit confusing on where to go but the staff is great at directing you to the right spot! The establishment is VERY well maintained! The aesthetics are beautiful by the bar and the general seating area. The library course was so well done! The decor made us feel like we were playing inside of a vintage, old-school library. There were 9 holes and each round was super unique and difficult in it's own way! They do have a leaderboard with names of the highest scores of the day, which is great to see! The drinks were great, the server was amazing, and the vibes made us want to go back and try the other course for sure! We will be sure to try out their food next time also since I've heard really awesome things about it! I'm also interested to see if they will be adding any more courses besides the 2 that they mentioned to us! It's a great date spot or a fun spot to hang out with friends, especially in the cold when there's not much to do outside!

Yelp
Drinks were good and the food was as well. I had to leave early and couldn't play but this is a cute and fun venue. Lots of corporate groups were there.

Yelp
Went here on a rainy day in Chicago and really enjoyed ourselves. Fun, upscale design is casual yet really nicely designed. Great vibe. Lots of fun. Highly recommend this.

Yelp
Just a plain good time! Drink, play, hangout it's a good vibe. They have definitely elevated mini golf and outdone other similar concepts in the city. It's a three floor facility with plenty of structure and depth. Multiple bars, drinks and food to go around. If you don't want to play, plenty of room to just hangout. Be sure to make a reservation as even if it's not busy you can arrive at a time where the course is full. Only thing is I would recommend the GM giving a few lessons to the staff (beyond the bartenders) to be a bit more friendly to smooth out the rough edges. However all in all a very well done spot. A great new option for the play/drink category!

Yelp
Once again, an amazing Puttery experience! This was our first time at the Chicago location (previously visited the Minneapolis spot) and it did NOT disappoint! The time they only had two courses open, The Library and The Lodge, but it appears they have several more than that! The scores are kept electronically at each hole so you don't have to worry about the little pencil and paper. We didn't get any of their food (though it looked amazing), but we did partake in a few cocktails. My group loved the Rumble and the Tasty Green. They even have servers walking around the course so you don't have to keep running up to the bar! I do wish the holes were a little more difficult or unique, but the theming across the board was stellar. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Appetizer foods were just ok. But the place is adorable. Second floor is a book worm's dream since it's a library. Fun for a big group!

Yelp
Puttery is a great spot to have fun. My boyfriend and I attended a double date here. We were greeted at the door and had everything explained to us as far as what's upstairs and the process of playing mini golf. I believe one course is $20 a person while both are $25. It makes sense to just do both courses. While my boyfriend and I waited for our friends to join us we had our coats checked and ordered the ancho wings which were great. My boyfriend ordered the stand off margarita and got it 2 more times because it was really good. Be careful with these lol. I ordered the tasty green for my drink. We had a lot of fun on our courses. Some were pretty challenging. It was great rooting for each other to try to make a hole in one or even just get our golf ball in the hole in some of the most difficult ones. They had a board where we could tally up our scores which was easy to use. The service here was friendly and available whenever needed.

Yelp

Yelp
Fuck this place. We came for a work outing and we got pushed to the third floor because of a corporate outing. Then we got pushed to a glass box because they over booked the third floor. Got no service. Didn't get our food and wasted 2 hrs of life. Yeah fuck this place.

Yelp
Had a ton of fun here with friends!! We did a group of 4, did both courses (library and ski lift). $23/person I think for one course of 9 holes. A bit pricey but such a cool experience! Really well done and a ton of space to hangout, drink/eat. Also excited for when summer comes for their rooftop! A great date spot!

Yelp
I really enjoyed golfing here! It's upsCale and elevated from your traditional mini golf. The staff was super friendly and we really enjoyed our cocktails. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Rodney the host when you enter was super personable and fun! The environment was fun, but cozy! Drinks were good and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a night of fun in Chicago!

Yelp
I was not impressed. Not sure how long this venue will last, better to check it out now before it's gone. Food is ok but no value IMO. The decor is nice and the cocktails were ok but the service lacked.

Yelp
Got a chance to check this out with my friends. It was pretty busy since everyone was hosting their holiday party here. We had multiple touch points with employees, the best one being the lovely lady explaining the rules to the lodge course. We had a blast but it was so hot in there. You're able to order from a waitress while you play, but no one ever came to our group throughout the course. It was cool how the screens were able to track your score based on where you were. I enjoyed it and would like to try out the other course and maybe a drink!

Yelp
This place sucks. The staff was super cagey and unhelpful. The place was empty and they couldn't cared if we lived or died. We got bad vibes from the second we walked in the door and we never felt anymore welcomed after spending $60 to get in the door. It was dirty clearly from the night before. Staff socialized with each other the entire time and didn't have ingredients to make a mimosa. They kept pushing a Playboy Seltzer that clearly wasn't refrigerated. Legit 1/5 stars, be smart. Go to Top Golf.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been to a place where the staff has just as much fun as the patrons, all while remaining professional - but this place was it! I stopped by with friends for a little after dinner fun. The place is new and you can tell by how clean the 2 floors are. There are 2 floors complete with a full bar and mini golf courses which seemed very fun. When we visited, DJ Pharris was playing music and had us dancing so long we never even golfed LOL! The drinks were well made and the staff had great attitudes to match. I look forward to coming back to play golf before it becomes too popular!

Yelp
I visited on 3/15 with three other people and was met by a very rude front door attendant. I walked in and said hello, and he suggested that the reason I was being kind upon entry is that I didn't have a reservation. After a bit more attitude from him, we decided to press on and buy the tickets to play one course, despite all four of us feeling a bitter taste in our mouth from the rude behavior we had just encountered. Upon going upstairs to the courses, we realize that both courses had private events going on and that we would need to wait an hour to play. I don't know if the model is just to allow everyone in, but when it's that crowded it takes away from the actual putting experience. The manager ended up refunding us for our tickets, and I appreciate that. I would also echo another reviewer on here to say that there are always several reservations open online even on weekends, making it seem like there is space to play. We were there a weekend prior with no reservation (because every single time slot was open to reserve online) and it was also very crowded, but we didn't receive any attitude so we just rolled with the fast pace of play. Bottom line, I would rather be politely turned away for a full house or no reservation then receive the unprofessional communication that we did at the front door.

Yelp
If you're like me, you learned about the Puttery Chicago from an Instagram post. The Puttery Chicago was always advertised as simulated getaway, but I didn't realize how much of it was "simulated" until I got there. The entire experience feels artificial with large props, lighting and even cheesy staff members. It's a prime example of social perception versus actual fun. Each floor contains a theme where: * 2nd floor features a larger-than-life library vibe (more difficult course) * 3rd floor features an Arctic tundra vibe (less difficult course) It costs $21/person to reserve a tee time, which in all honestly is a joke. The course will take less than 25 minutes to complete unless the you're truly out of practice on your swing. NOTE: Drinks are allowed on the course and the staff will advertise that you get "specialty drinks" only on the course. My advice skip the $18/cocktail price on the course and just treat yourself to a drink before or after your game. Overall, this may be great spot for a first or second date or out-of-towners, but otherwise I'm unimpressed with this place and their "alleged entertainment." It's downright too expensive, compact and not worth the money! The cost of tee time only includes once course! NOTE 2: Coat check is available, you just need to ask during check-in!

Yelp
Paid to make a reservation weeks in advance for my Fiancées birthday and was told at 7:55PM before our 8PM reservation that we would have to wait until 9PM before we could even check in due to events already ongoing. Ambiance outside the building is not great. Lots of folks doing wheelies on their bikes outside, food appears to be mediocre. This business should not take reservations if you cannot ensure the times people play. Do not expect reservations to be respected.

Yelp
Great time and a lot of fun. Service was good and the general vibe is nice. Highly recommend for a group of friends. 4 stars only because drinks are way overpriced and are not good at all. $20 drinks that have too much of an ingredient or barely any liquor. You would be better off just getting a beer or seltzer.

Yelp
While the decor and set up of this place are adorable, just go to Puttshack. I had high expectations for this place as I always have such an amazing time at Puttshack. The host of my room was so unenetergetic and acted as if she didn't want to be there. The holes are literally all the same, just had to try to hit the ball up a hill. Could've saved my $21. The drinks and bartenders were awesome, however. A lot better places to have some competitive fun in Chicago.

Yelp
They took our money knowing it was another event that bought out the whole place never again
