Great for walk-ins and Private Events! I visited this Puttshack location in the fall last year and was immediately hooked. Great upscale atmosphere, good food and drinks, and amazing high tech mini-golf. I love the design and themes of the holes and courses, and I especially like how scoring is handled. You might have more strokes than your appointments, but there’s always a chance for bonus points on each hole to help you catch up. Waiting time is much shorter than other mini-golf places I’ve been to, due in large part to their NFC ball tech that lets you play holes in almost any order, so groups can shuffle around each other. I was so sold on this place that I booked a private event for my 30th birthday! My event was amazing and I really appreciate all the support putting it together. The booking experience was stress-free, and I got all my questions answered. On the day of the event, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and all my guests had a great time. The food tasted as good as it looked, and it looked fantastic! Mini golf was a blast, and everybody had plenty of time to go through the course. The private area set aside for my group was spacious and had amazing atmosphere! My party was just as I had hoped it would be. I will be recommending Puttshack for private events to my friends, family members, and coworkers going forward.

What a fun day! The miniature golf scene has evolved in a very good way. I brought my team here and everyone enjoyed the setting/food/service. While playing, I was gently reminded with an omniscient overhead whisper to pick up my ball. The electronic commentary and digital scoreboard tracked each golf ball with amazing precision. The appetizers were delicious and I’d like to thank Sarah, our server at the bar, for taking great care of us over the course of several hours. My advice? Go for the mini-golf and check out the Bao Buns, Thai Fried Chicken, and Mushroom potstickers.

Absolutely blown away by the entire experience! The food was great, the mini golf courses are so awesome and engaging— the hospitality is INCREDIBLE! It says a lot about a place when the staff are not only courteous and helpful, but also genuinely get along with each other. I came for my husband’s company holiday party, a group of about 30. We had 2 dedicated servers who were absolutely awesome. The entire evening was a delight, and the server team was the icing on the cake! Thank you for a great time!!

Google
Great place to eat, golf, and have fun! The staff is great, the courses are fun, and you can earn points without having to be amazing at golf. I've been several times and each time is fantastic. I've been with just one other person, a few people, and a large group, and this is a great venue for all options!

Had a lot of fun at this place, a new twist on mini golf! Your ball is chipped and it keeps score for you. It makes for a fun relaxing time.

Google
Mini golf was fun - loved the different golfing sections and lighting. Environment was chill when I went and aesthetic was great. Bartender Sarah was amazing! Drinks were delicious - made quickly and flavorful. Always on top of our drink requests. The flatbreads were really good as well!

My family made reservations on New Years while I was visiting and on New Year’s Day there was a 2 for one special where we got 2 courses for the price of one. We had our reservations early evening and it was easy to check in. They have a free coatcheck on the first floor and the restaurant, bar, and holes are upstairs. It’s a family friendly bar/restaurant feel. You can order drinks while playing. Your golf ball is electronically collected for you and keeps score. Some of the holes are pretty tricky and there are hole in one options and super putts and some trivia hole options. We did the Amber track first then I forgot the name of the second one. You don’t have to go in order especially if there are a lot of people playing but I guess that’s why they have timed reservations to get through the flow of traffic. Lots of fun for all ages. I didn’t check out any food or drinks but looks like a nice place to hangout. It’s located in a large shopping mall area so parking is easy.

I have mixed feelings about the place and it could be simply because I didn’t really read up on the place and it was a Friday night when we went. I didn’t know what to expect after I made the reservation so it was kind of a deer in head lights situation. Once we got the hang of things it was an over all good time. The different sections though are a bit tight . We were in the Ruby section and the section it self seemed kind of cramped. Not exactly bumping into people but still a bit cramped. We didn’t order drinks while on the course because we over heard others saying how long it took. Once we were finished at the course we went back to the front to be seated which I thought was a little weird considering from the back of the course you have to pass the dining area. Maybe it was just the fact that we were in the very back. We did a reservation but were sat down early which was very nice. The food however , was a little cold. The burger lacked any flavors but was cooked how I wanted. The fries were the best thing we had and the cajun shrimp. Over all it was ok , we did however make the decision to try it again . One a more chill day to give it another chance

Yelp
Very impressive service; we had a little trouble with a crowded course, and the staff opened up the Amber course to make it easier for us to play through. They also redirected some of the other groups so one of our players, who is elderly, had an easier time. Thanks for working with us to make it a fun experience for all of us!

Yelp
We had SO MUCH FUN! What a great idea for a fun new activity! It is actually surprisingly affordable despite it definitely being a more upscale mini golf venue. The courses are short and sweet but incredibly unique and fun! The majority of the space at Puttshack is for the restaurant and bar. The food and the drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was awesome. Sometimes the courses can get a little backed up if you are in front of a slower group, but I still absolutely recommend it. The service was great and the food and drinks came fast! It is awesome to be able to have drinks while golfing. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
What a fun place for a date night! My husband and I went to Puttshack on a freezing cold Saturday afternoon. Despite the cold, it was busy. Puttshack shares a parking lot with Kowalski's Market. When you arrive, you can check in your coat for free. The staff will get your name and phone. You will receive a text message of your coat hanger's number. CHECKING IN: When you ascend the stairs, to your left I are host/hostess for dining in. To your right are kiosks to check in for your tee time. Don't worry if you don't have a tee time reserved, it will put you at the next available time. There's a few kiosks so you don't wait long. There is a staff member at the kiosk to help. The kiosk will tell you which course you will be going to: emerald, ruby, sapphire, and amber. (I don't know if you get to pick or not. It was auto assigned to us.) MINI-GOLF: When you arrive at your course, there is a screen. You'll check in, get your ball, and putter. There are 3 different size putter. There is a staff to help you. They'll explain rules and such if it is your first time. Since the first hole was backed up, we were told that we can start at a different hole and come back. On a Saturday afternoon, there were multiple big group of families... like 6-8 people! The computer will keep track if you skip the first hole. It's very fun, interactive, and competitive. They have these super tube where if your ball lands in it, it's basically hole in one. You do lose points if you go in the hazards. They have a hole that ask true/false trivia about Minnesota. FOOD & DRINKS: We didn't eat there. I did stop at the bar for a glass of Coke, which I could take with me onto the golf course. PRICE/VALUE: I think $15/course per adult is a lot. I could go somewhere else that has 3 courses for unlimited mini-golf. But if I were to come back with friends, I'd be down to play at Puttshack.

Yelp
P U T T S H A C K if this was helpful, please click to react, and Follow me for more reviews Check out my IG for more news, insight, pairings and other fun related content. ------------------------------------------- Welcomed the new Puttshack to the neighborhood and enjoyed dad's night after a great dinner across the street at Pittsburgh Blue. What a fun spot. I can definitely see myself coming back with friends, coworkers, birthdays and family time with the kids. The staff were more positive than negative however, we did run into a bartender who didn't seem like she wanted to be there and was visually frustrated by our decision making and each person ordering their own beverage. The staff getting us prepped for the round was still getting used to the script but due to the loud environment, please don't look away from your audience when you're explaining the rules and specificities of the course and how to play. Extensive cocktail menu which some looked intriguing, but also I think a bit on the expensive side. The guys stuck to carrying around beer during our round of putt putt, and a couple rounds after. I switched to neat pours of the new 7 year Jim Beam and the Old Forester Statesman; both solid pours. The whiskey selection isn't the best but there are some solid options. Food Allergies | unsure at this time. Perspectives from "whiskey_with" (IG and TikTok) Whiskey_with food pairings, friends, coffee, distillery tours, bonfires, and good vibes. It's never about the bottle, but everything that comes 'with_whiskey'

Yelp
Yesterday afternoon I booked a reservation for mini golf and table which was pretty easy to do on their website. Please note if you're booking your time slot/date, you will need to make a payment online to secure it. All players will need to register. Info needed to register are your first and last name, email address, phone number, and birth date. Once all info entered and payment done, you'll receive an email and text confirmation. Recently opened and It's located at Southdale Mall. Adjacent and above Kowalskis Market. Plenty of feee shared parking spaces. Not accessible through the mall. Must enter in front where Kowalskis side is located. Once arrived, you'll walk upstairs to the third floor. Before you do, I believe there's a coat check in. Once upstairs, the check in desk is on your left side. I was greeted right away and they answered my questions as it was my first time there. Staff were super fast and friendly. I was quickly seated thereafter. Once seated, I was waiting for a friend to arrive still but was quickly greeted by our server Devin. He brought our waters right away and put in my order for a Porn Star Martini (which I said it's been a long week at work). Haha. It contains Absolute Vanilla Vodka, Passoa Passion Fruit Liqueur, vanilla syrup, lime juice, smoke-filled side of Sofia Sparkling Brute Rose. We were seated near the kitchen. I was able to see some kitchen action going on in the background which was cool. My friend arrived shortly after and we ordered, the Cali Chicken Wrap with garlic fries. Korean BBQ Bao Buns and Greek Gyro Sliders. Our server kept checking up on us to see how we doing. My formed mentioned she was super hungry and he came back to notified our order was up for completion and be out soon. Meanwhile my Porn Star Martini smoke pouring presentation was cool and it tasted sweet! Woohoo! Our food arrived and all looked and tasted delicious! The only thing I would like more would be more chicken added to the wrap. But otherwise super yummy. Our tee time was nearing and my friend had an emergency and we had to leave earlier than expected. So we didn't get to mini golf which was a bummer. I had to cancel it out last minute, which was non-refundable but i already knew that per their terms and conditions they posted in their site. A BIG shout out to our server Devin H at Edina! He was making sure we were ok through the evening. That's how service should be! I will definitely be back to check out the food menu and actually mini golf!

Yelp
Bad dining experience: It was pretty packed on a friday night which wasn't a surprise. We played one round and then got sat to try out the menu. However, we weren't able to try anything due to deliberately being ignored by the staff. The servers were helping the two couple seated directly beside us on both sides, but would swerve around us. didn't even get offered waters or anything. we would make eye contact with the other serves, try to signal someone to come, nobody came. after waiting 15 minutes we decided to leave. we let the front staff know and they apologized but yeah not the best dining experience. other than that the holes were cool and fun except for the blockers at the t's. i wish we would've tried the other courses! & the food lol

Jake S.

Yelp
This place is super cool but it has some issues with the newness (I assume it's new). We started at the bar because our first section was kinda packed with people. No one came to the bar. We stood there for just under 10 minutes and never got a drink. Not the best start. We went back to our putting area and it was less packed. The guy kinda explained the rules but failed to tell us that the balls are tracked and you start and finish your turn. Pretty huge details to leave out. We figure it out after two holes. We loved the space and the putting holes. There are some kinks to work out for sure but this is such a great place to take a date or the family.

Yelp
Lot to unwrap here. First being this is connected to the mall, not in the mall. The parking is abundant. However, if you're assuming this is on the third floor of the mall and park on the north side expecting an entrance you're going to be disappointed. It's connected to the mall but there are no entrances, and absolutely no signs in the mall indicating where this place is. The mini golf is fun. It registers your ball and there's no reason to keep score because if the technology works, it does it for you. However expect to pay the same price as 9 holes at an actual golf course. Inside, nicely lit, modern decorations. It's larger than you would expect. Offers several different 9 hole courses with similar but not same holes. Seating is kind of at a premium for the bar and grill. The bar and grill were, what you would expect. Decent food, decent beverages. Not a lot on tap but it has a full service bar. The food is slightly above what you'd expect. Poutine was okay, and I'm not really sure what part of this flatbread is considered flat but it's definitely a pizza crust. Tasted good, but definitely a pillsbury crust. The real kicker here is the service which maybe unfairly reviewed based on one experience, but here goes. They were over matched. Idk if it was because it was a Saturday or what, but even getting a drink at the walk up part of the bar was literally a 20 minute wait or more, I couldn't tell the exact time, because I walked away before I was served. The staff were nice, but we waited for a long, long time before even being offered waters. The food came out just as we were getting our first round of drinks, which, in case you were curious was shortly after our waters arrived. We had reservations for food, but we definitely talked about leaving after 15/20 minutes since we hadn't seen a staff of any sort. Overall between the pricing, staffing, and lack of service I'd recommend golfing somewhere cheaper, and finding a good venue less crowded and better served.

Yelp
Puttshack is such a great new spot in Edina for a date night, company party or outing with friends. The golf is fast, super interactive (literally - there's a trivia golf hole), and creates great conversation. I'm no longer in the dating game, but if you are and you're looking for a first date spot, I'd highly recommend. The menu surprised me and I was a little nervous, but I went with the BBQ chicken flatbread and it was actually delicious! I only ordered wine otherwise I'd bet I'd have raves about the cocktail as well. I think this will be a great addition for the area!

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed our visit here! I think it's worth noting that this place is geared much more for adults than kids, and personally I thought their food options were a bit limited, but everything that we tried tasted really good! We noticed several technical glitches ranging from the booking system, to ball detection issues. They're still new though, and they seem to be working hard to iron those out. The staff were all very polite and assertive, and they even let us start our round of Mini Golf early since we got done eating sooner than expected. The ambiance was fun, but certainly felt more like a bar than anything. We really enjoyed it, but like I intro'd with, I personally wouldn't bring kids here. The food and drinks were delicious! You're certainly encouraged to putt with drinks as well, and can even order drinks using a QR code at each hole. The QR code is placed on a small table where you can set your drinks while you putt. I thought this was a nice touch! I would certainly recommend this place for a date night, or a group of young adults. If you're substantially hungry though you may want to eat somewhere with more options before arriving.

Ingi E.

Yelp
Puttshack is such a fun place! I love the vibe, service, and all the food we had. You register all players online in advance or at the screen in person. The system chooses the area you'll play for you, and each has some different themed holes. Some highlights of the 9 holes in the "Ruby" area were the air hockey, beer pong, and skee ball style holes. The scoring is not typical mini golf scoring, which was explained to us in advance. Higher scores are good here! There are bonuses at the different holes, too. We were told that while you can't choose what area you get, if you get assigned one you've played before, you can request a different area. Now for the food! This is what we tried: -Atlanta Hot Sandwich -Cali Chicken Wrap (I didn't personally try this one but supposedly it was good!) -Sweet Heat Shrimp Skewers -Mediterranean Lamb Skewers Everything tasted delicious! The shrimp was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the lamb skewers came in a pita with a tasty peri-peri sauce, and the atlanta hot sandwich had awesome flavor and a spicy kick. I really liked the cornbread that came with the shrimp. Tai was our server and she was just the best! I'll definitely be back.

Melissa H.

Yelp
We had drinks before we started our round. I had the ultimate margarita which tasted good. The first 9 holes there were no issues, but the second 9 holes had technology issues, but it's to be expected with a new place and working the bugs out. We stayed for dinner and the server was friendly, but she forgot my order. It was no big deal and they brought it out as soon as it was ready. Overall, our group had fun and would try it out again

Yvette R.

Yelp
Went on a triple date last week and it was awesome! Although I learned I suck even more than I thought in mini golf the overall experience was awesome! I loved that the drinks were fun and creative and all the food was very tasty! The only think is that the flatbreads are smaller than they appear online but they were still delicious. The whole night was super busy but our waiter was very good at checking in with us.

Lucy N.

Yelp
Fun new addition to the Edina scene! Puttshack is a brand new spot that serves up fun, cocktails, great food and an exciting atmosphere. We have been twice now and enjoyed a cocktail and beer with a round of putt putt. On a Friday night this is a popular place to be -- can't wait for our next visit.

Kevin M.

Yelp
It took us 45 minutes to play the first 9 holes because they overbooked the course. Also, it cost $61 for two people to play 18 holes. Way overpriced, I did it one time for a date night but I wouldn't come back due to the high cost. They also put blocks behind where you swing your putter that get in the way of your swing. This messed up my shots 3-4 times and was really annoying. They need to move those out of the way. I was told it was for safety, which was a bit ridiculous because you couldn't even have a backswing more than a foot on a couple of the holes. Some holes had ramps where you needed to hit the ball hard but you couldn't swing enough to hit the shot. Everyone around me was also complaining about it. Some of the holes were fun and very well designed, though. The prices of drinks were also not bad for Edina - $5 for a beer on a Saturday night. The bar service was good, didn't try the food.

Yelp
Wow! New fav place!! Grew up shopping at Southdale and can't believe how much it's changed! Puttshack blew my mind away! Bartender Rayjon gave amazing recommendations for food and cocktails! Had an Espresso Martini and a Porn Star Martini - passionfruit is my faaav and was so fun to watch them make and smoke it! For food: the Korean buns were my fav. Mouth watering! The lamb skewers and buffalo chicken dip were delicious too! The mini golf: checking in at the kiosk was easy then you look on the board for what color you are. We had ruby! Dude checking us in there was hilarious and super helpful. Grabbed our puts and had a freaking blast with the creative 9 hole game! We laughed and danced and cannot wait to go back to try the other colors. The place is huge, positive vibes, fun music...perfect for families, parties, girls night, date night...really anything 100 stars!!!!!

Hiroshi A.

Yelp
This place is totally cool! Newest hot spot in Edina! Awesome lineup of drinks, good food menu, and outstanding putt putt courses. They have three courses, 9 holes each, and they are extravagant and fun. Your score is connected to your chipped golf ball, so no need to track your score manually, and no cheating!!! I really enjoyed my time here with colleagues, and will be back for more for either work or with friends and family!!! Staff there, super friendly!

Amie D.

Yelp
The decor of this place is like no other! I mean, you can just come to take pics and still be satisfied lol but before you leave though sign yourself up for mini golf! They have couple of different courses to play, the wait time varies depending on time, I went with my friend and it only took about 5 mins because it took us hours to catch up over apps and drinks. The menu was on the unique side, I do wish they had the staples. Their drink list was long but not enough interesting NA to try. The service was great and the staff their were very attentive and answered our questions. They'll give you the info on how to play and what the goal is especially if you are there for the first time or first time at mini golf. They tally the scores on a screen like bowling so take a large group with you and have first being the winner! The challenges vary from easy to hard but super fun too with a sassy computer I might add lol. I'm looking forward to going with a big group in the near future! All in all 10/10 would recommend for vibes and fun especially now that it's getting cold.

Tara K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, amazing food, and the golf was SO MUCH FUN! Service was wonderful, too. Our family loved it.

Greg W.

Yelp
Food Dinner started okay, but went downhill fast. We had reservations and got seated at a high top in a busy section instead of a booth. It took 10 minutes to get our drink order in, then another 10 to get our drinks. The drinks were very good. We only got waters after asking another server. The apps (buffalo chicken dip and Brussels sprouts) were nothing to write home about and came about 5 minutes before our plates and silverware. Dishes and empty drinks stacked up and no one came to bus them and when they did, they also bussed my current drink was still 1/3 full. The host tried to take our menus because they ran out, however we hadn't ordered yet. I can't blame her, we hadn't seen our server forever. The only reason he came to take our order is that the host asked him so she could get some menus. The Cobb salad I had was decent, but a friend did not get their pizza and had to wait 10 minutes. Mini Golf We had a tee time 90 minutes after our meal, but slow service and missed entree meant we went over. We were all ready to putt when someone broke glass on our course. They had everyone move to the other course, and that line looked like it was over an hour. We had babysitters and couldn't wait that long so we asked if we could get a refund. The manager told us they don't give refunds. There were multiple parties waiting behind us to talk to the manager.

Debbie K.

Yelp
I've been here twice and had a fantastic time putting! The courses are so fun. However, the service here makes it less enjoyable. The servers are not welcoming and have gotten an attitude from them during both visits, YIKES. Ive been dying to try their brussel sprouts, but have not had luck getting them during both visits. So if anyone has tried them, let me know . The putting 10/10, servers/service 2/10. The only one that seemed nice was the food runner who barely spoke any English

Melissa Z.

Yelp
Wow, we were genuinely looking forward to trying this place out. Thought, 'Sure, let's splurge a bit,' but honestly, what a joke. You pay $50 for 10 minutes of 'fun'--if you can even call it that. Nine holes of mini-golf that feel like they were designed for people with the attention span of a TikTok. Done in no time, and surprise: want more? Get ready to fork over another $50. Save yourself the disappointment and just buy a $5 putting mat for your living room.

Libby B.

Yelp
Fun putt putt and great good & drinks! Anna our server was amazing! Great fun for all ages!

Amanda W.

Yelp
I wish I could give a lower star. Run by 20 years with no service industry experience.

Brian O.

Yelp
Being relatively new they need to work out some technology issues. Our inline registration wasn't visible in their computers at long in but they were able to find it. The output has allot of technology but we felt all the holes were similar. We didn't eat there but their staff was pleasant and helpful. In our opinion we felt the experience did not equal the fees we paid.

Maureen M.

Yelp
It has the potential to be a cool place however they need to hire more people and the people serving really need to do better. Golf-it got way too crowded and could have been spaced out better. Bar-we waited a really long time and one time left the bar as no one served us. Dinner-this is where it got really bad. The waiter took our drinks which took about 15 minutes to arrive and then everyone that orders non-alcoholic drinks didn't get their drinks (they also didn't get water but everyone who ordered alcohol got water). We had to ask the server about the drinks. Then, food came out separately. No one knew whose food was whose and it toke about 20 minutes between the 1st person and last person to get their food. Then the server was pouring water and spilt it all over the place and took too long to clean it up. We were never asked if we wanted anything else to drink and you could barely get the waiter to come by. Lastly, we had 12 people and when the waiter was taking the orders, I asked him if we could separate out the bill so we could all pay separately and he said "no that would be too hard to do". So when the bill came and everyone wanted to pay separately he said we couldn't and that he thought someone would pay for it all. Very weird. We finally had one person pay the bill. Never experienced anything like this before. I get it is new but this was pure laziness. Not interested in going here again which is too bad. It's weird he couldn't do more with the bill especially considering all the new tech in the place.
