Puur Zee by Imko's

"Master chef Imko Binnerts knows how to bring out pure seafood flavours, and how to combine them into a delicious meal. His interesting cuisine is cleverly presented, while the modern combination of flavours is as elegant as the decor." - Michelin Inspector

Delicious dinner at Puur Zee! It is always good, and this time it was exceptional because of Christmas. Perfectly cooked seafood paired with the most delicious wines. Really recommended.

The owners say Welcome to our beautiful Villa! Well I'd like to say is much more... Classic, Romantic touches, warm, cozy. The only downside are the steep steps if you have a disability may you like to not consider this hotel. Otherwise there is no bad comment to say about it... I bet summer time the pool must be amazing and lots of outside seating, beautiful interior especially ceilings. Bed... well I fell asleep so quick :) After a great bath, the soap smells fantastic... I must admit it took me a while to figure out I had to squeeze the bottle as mostly used to press bottles :) I had not enjoyed a diner this time but judging by the breakfast service it must be delicious. Is a seafood based kitchen... not surprised as is just next to the sea(zee) Many thanks! Felt amazing!

Best seafood I have ever had! One of the best fish restaurants in the Netherlands. The price is adequate for this exquisite dinner we had. Very friendly owner and great staff. The food was super fresh, refined and inspiring. The wine recommendation was a great experience. We will definitely come again! Thanks to Cathy and Imko.

A nice, small & homely hotel located less than 5 minutes walk from the beach & just a short walk from the village centre & the Café Du Zon, my reason for being in Wijk Aan Zee again. ||A pleasant, friendly & informative check in & I was off up the stairs (no lift) to my non smoking room. A nice sized room, really atmospheric, decorated, as it was, in a style from years past. Carpet floor, double bed, tv, tea/coffee, wardrobe, hairdryer, smoke alarm, mini bar, full length mirror, dresser & chair & a few spare electrical sockets. A large radiator meant the room temperature was good & it needed to be as, it was anything but warm outside. Plenty of natural light & no noise issues from inside or outside of the hotel. Wi fi was free, easy to connect to, quick & consistent.||The bathroom was, size wise, ok with a tiled floor, shower cubicle & shower with good pressure & plenty of hot water, large mirror, toiletries & plenty of towels. ||I only made it down for breakfast on one of my two mornings. Continental buffet with not a huge choice but nice fayre including cereals, toast, cheeses, cold meats, breads, bacon, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, omelettes, coffee, teas & orange juice. I didn’t use the hotel for dinner/lunch.||The bar was nice, not massive but cozy & I had a pleasant hour enjoying a couple of beers there with friends before heading in to the village.||I found the stairs to be, like another hotel that I have stayed in Wijk Aan Zee, very steep & quite narrow. Not easy after a night out with maybe one or two too many beers on board.||There is a nice outdoor terrace but it was too cold, when I was there, to contemplate sitting out & enjoying it. There are other facilities & services, including a small swimming pool & bike hire that I did not use.||All staff that I encountered were excellent – friendly & helpful.||I checked out fairly early because of my flight home time but checking out only goes to 10.30 which is one of the earliest check out times that I have come across.

Very nice hotel that is next to the dunes of Wijk aan Zee. Clean rooms, kind service and nice and quiet in the winter time.

Love this place, great service, great rooms (we have tried almost all rooms and levels). Breakfast good quality. We have not tried restaurant as its a set course restaurant if it was a la carte we would try it but having 4 courses each night is a lot. It's a shame as it looks good. Restaurant open Wednesday to Sunday. Also pool and two outside areas to sit.

We stayed two nights which included breakfasts and a three course set menu for each evening. Thoroughly enjoyed the delicious fish courses (and deserts), the excellent wine and conversations with the friendly staff. We will probably return before the year is out.
