Puya - Tacos de Puebla offers some of the best chicken and vegetarian tacos I’ve ever had. While it’s a bit on the pricey side, the quality and flavor make it worth every penny. The portions are a bit small, but the fresh ingredients and authentic taste more than make up for it. This is more of a grab-and-go spot due to limited seating, so it’s perfect for a quick, delicious meal on the go. If you’re in the mood for top-notch tacos and don’t mind paying a little extra, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Seems like a very busy place. The food & ingredients were fresh. The filling is really good. The service was fast. Eating can get a little messy so carry a lot of napkins. The place is more about on the go sorts with very limited seats available to sit & eat in peace.

Decent tacos outdoors in Rockefeller center. The big problem is no great seating. They serve tacos Al pastor but I don't see a trumpo. Maybe in their location downstairs.

It was my partner and I first time at this spot. Our meal was delicious. We ordered agua de horchata, nachos and the burrito. The place is almost and with limited dining room. The only negative thing I have to mention is that when the lady at the cashier was taking our order, I asked for my burrito without spicy/salsa because I don’t eat spicy and when the order came out we didn’t know which burrito had spicy and which one didn’t! They didn’t specify. So that’s very important when taking costumers order.

Tried the steak, birria, and the marinaded pork tacos. Other two tacos were fine but the marinaded pork was the best. It’s a shame we live in a world where a single taco can cost $5 🥲. Chips and guac were $10 but the serving size was really small.

Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen in the northeast but this one stands above. The Taco Birria was the most delicious taco I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned meat.

Quick bite after a Seth Meyers taping. The Asada and Pastor were excellent and my wife finished the chicken before I got a bite. Highly recommended!

Nice looking place but not worth the money. $20 corn salad with carne asada. 2 tomatoes beef was dry and cold and the lemon vinegarette was non existent. The man cooking in the back was also eating as he was preparing food. Won't be going back.

The tacos were mid. What was really disappointing was a $10 cup of tasteless sangria. I should have spent $2 and got water for this.

Pedidos tacos uno al pastor y otro de asada ambas carnes al parecer ya tenían bastante tiempo de haber sido cocinadas porque ambas estaban bastante resecas, lo cual afecta la textura y el sabor de la proteína , el lugar está escondido debajo del edificio Rockefeller tampoco tienen una bar de salsas se las tienes que pedir a los cocineros y te la dan en un pequeño vaso de una onza , tampoco están buenas están bastante insípidas tengo que decir que lo único que me gustó este restaurante fue la tortilla y el refresco que me tomé , definitivamente recomiendo tacos número 1

Having just arrived - and with dinner plans, we just wanted a quick bite go eat ( while heading to the Other Half for drinks). It was taco Tuesday so three tacos for 15! I got the vegetarian which was delicious with a good kick to it! The family got Al Pastor and De Birria - everyone was a fan! Great place and surprisingly great tacos for a high tourist area!!

A nice little spot inside the Rochefeller building. Pricey for me considering I'm use to 2-3$ tacos. But when in NY- spend like you're rich! lol so... for $4 each I got Al pastor tacos since they are my favorite. These were made old fashioned way- cooking in a pit- they were good. Not the BEST - but I'm from Cali and I know what good ol Mexican food should taste like. Clean, nice little spot. I guess perfect for the area it's located - I'm sure with their quick service and minimal tables they have people in and out. It's nothing I couldn't have lived without.

I needed to grab a quick lunch and was BLOWN away with this restaurant. The tacos were around $6 each and were a good size. From when I walked into the restaurant to when I walked out, was less than 8 minutes. Not a lot of people were eating inside, but there were a few tables available. Everyone was incredibly kind and the restaurant was ran with incredible efficiency and speed. I ordered the taco al pastor and was thoroughly impressed with the incredible flavor and tenderness of the pork. There was quite a bit of guacamole (always a good thing) and the pineapples added an impeccable sweetness. The onions added a nice crunch and overall, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant whether you work in 30 Rock, or if you are near the area!!!

I saw this new Mexican place open in the concourse, so I set my mind to try it. It's a solid place but not reaching the point of something I'd crave. It has its value. Not a cheap eat but tolerable considering its location. I see many photos of only two tacos but it's not enough food imo - get three. There's a 10% discount for tenants but only on the lower half of the menu aka no discount on tacos except for special of the month. I ordered: carne taco, al pastor taco, and a side of guac and chips. Overall I like the amount of meat they give. The portions look small but the meat piece is sufficient. I wish they'd give two pieces of tortilla per taco. The tortilla shredded under the weight of the ingredients. I haven't decided if I like the current soft texture or prefer something chewier. I think they make it in house - may or may not have seen a ball of dough in the kitchen. Flavorwise, I like how clean and clear everything tasted. If I were to compare to Chipotle, Chipotle can sometimes taste "foggy". Also I appreciate they give a piece of lime for each taco. I thought I would like the al pastor more but I actually like the carne asada more. Both have very similar toppings that I was worried they'd taste similar too. The meats show up enough to stand for themselves. I like the stronger meat taste in the carne asada (not gamey). The pork in al pastor was just not as juicy, and the bright seasoning wasn't as pronounced as it looks. The amount of guac and salsa work well to provide moisture. Either I only got very little salsa or it's more mild because I have 0 recollection what it tasted like. Guac and chips. If they make their tortilla in house I'm assuming they make chips too. It's different than ones I get outside. It's more seasoned but in a mellow way. The amount of salt works really well too. Their chips have a smoother batter and fried to a light brown color. Small complaints are that they can do a better job draining/soaking oil and that the uneven shapes poke my mouth in the wrong ways when eating. The guac might be the least exciting part of the whole meal. It is what it is and is what it needs to be. A complaint might be how it wasn't filled to the top of the cup. It looks cute inside. Employees are nice and efficient. There is a large counter where all the food gets prepared. They wrap all plates with aluminum foil when giving you your order. When I saw photos of other people's orders with just plates, it worried me how can I carry around the food. I'm satsified with the aluminum wrapping, but it's still not ideal for longer commutes (aka anyone who's not a nearby office worker) or large orders.

This is bustling high traffic eatery located in Rockefeller plaza. We were there for Taco Tuesday, 3 tacos for $5 each. We chose the carne asada, taco al pastor, and taco di birra. Little did we know that Puja is the name of a famous Mexican hot pepper, and those tacos sure had a kick to them! All were fresh and made right on the spot. My favorite was the taco di birra and we enjoyed our Mexican beers. There are a few small tables and some counter seats for dining in, but most opted to take their food and go. Service was very fast and also friendly and the place was clean and bright. Easy to read menu on wall. Restrooms elswhere in the plaza.

Came here for a lunch with a friend. Food and service were excellent. Tacos were messy to eat but delicious. Prices were fair considering location. I do like that they let the customer check their order before paying, helps lessen confusion. It does get very crowded during the lunch hour so be prepared! Try the Jamaica Agua Fresca drink it's refreshing!

Joining the rest of the casual eateries in the basement of the Rockefeller Center comes a taco joint, ironically created by an Italian hospitality group. Menu is kept simple and concise, with a selection of the basic taco fillings (Al pastor, carne asada, a vegetarian that's surprisingly not no nopales but more carbs from potatoes and corn and also the current mandatory birria). Everything comes on a piece of corn tortilla. Need about three to make a meal. One is just a tease. There's also a more substantial and price friendly burrito at $12 that comes in chicken only. A vegetarian quesadilla and three other appetizers on menu. Puya, the chili is definitely the charm of the menu. It's a fine place for approachable Mexican food within the vicinity if Los Tacos #1 is not available.

I wanted to like this place but the food was a major disappointment. The burrito was small and tasteless, and I'm not sure there was even any chicken in it. It just seemed like a small wrap full of rice and beans, with a bit of guac and sour crème. Be warned, portions are tiny - the burrito was smaller than a Taco Bell taco. As pricy as this place is I was expecting a lot more. Skip this one.

So glad this opened in the Rockefeller Center concourse! Food is good and comes out fast even during the busy lunch rush. I've been here a few times and can't think of a single complaint - I've been with coworkers and everyone has said their food was really good.

I came in here today for lunch and while the service was fast and very friendly the food wasn't very good. $18 for a burrito and Mexican. I specifically asked for not spicy but every part of this burrito was spicy. My lips were burning the entire meal. The rice was all dente, and spice a side the burrito wasn't very flavorful. Given the very limited options you would think that what they do make would be made well, sadly I won't be back.

These were the best tacos I've had in a long time. Of the 3 I tried the Al Pastor was my favorite. The tamarind juice was good but a little too sweet for me.

Amazing, fresh, flavorful food. Their vegetarian tacos are fantastic. Super nice people working always!
