Valentine's Day experience was amazing. The ambiance was very cozy and staff were friendly The service was top-notch and attentive. Each dish was a burst of flavor. The presentation was simply beautiful, great cocktails and wine selection. I can't wait to return for another delightful experience.

Food was great & service was impeccable. That bread and butter was magnificent though. Food wasn’t too pricey compared to other places downtown. Just didn’t like how the valet parking was “$26” which they changed to $20 after I mentioned I didn’t have my card on me. Ended up cashapping a guy. I don’t mind paying valet but to charge that much is crazy, especially I could’ve parked right across the street for free.

Google
Valentine's dinner . Worst, slowest service ever. Server didn't come back to check on us or refill our drinks. Not even once. We had to flag other servers down just to refill our water. Not sure why. It wasn't even busy. Staff just isn't trained.

Had a fantastic lunch at The Pyramid room. Service was exceptional and food was as well. Especially loved the salad. A great option to eat in when at the Fairmont.

Google
There's not a huge selection, so I would encourage you to look at the menu before going. You could find something, but if you're looking for something specific, this may not be the place for you at this juncture. However, the penne pasta was very good. The chicken was diced, so I was able to focus more on eating than chopping huge slices of chicken. The service wasn't bad, but it wasn't a "wow" type of experience. The valet parking was very confusing and pricy so you may want to leave yourself some time to find parking close by.

The Fairmont hotel has been open since 1976 . It sits on Akard st. down town Dallas its a up scale hotel with alluring atmosphere inviting and friendly has a bar restraunt called the Pyrymid. The menu at the bar has a variety of great specialty drinks . There dinning menu is called the Farm House variety of 44 burgers farm burgers and the 38 different greens and entrees and a desert menu that you could say it deserves its name Sweet Endings . as l was sitting at bar out of no where amanda manager of the restaurant came over to me directly with a trey of two different deserts let me choose one of my choice .well let me let you in on why she did as l sat at the bar l was asking the bar tenders all kinds of questions about the hotel and that l was a Google reviewer on Google maps and that's why I'm asking as to there reaction of oh really how cool then they became very curious of where was l from what do l for a living and I was honest and l got on my phone and started to start my review and as l was typing they kept looking and just peeked there interest that l was there to review them right then because l kept typing and they. Knew l was I made it to were they could see as l was typing and looking at thec menus and looking at all of them thinking put my phone down for awhile impressed that l was actually took what l do seriously and with intent thought to myself let me see if this makes more of an impact on many levels doing it like l was the Google reviewer of Dallas looks that goes a long way that people forget about the little details no matter the reason because that's when the manager came up with the trey of the deserts and made me feel she did it to make an impression because when she came straight to me first to say we had these deserts left over we'd like to try one of our two favorite deserts she described them to me and l said how special and that l would love to try l happily picked the lemon tart buerlie and how impressed l was she smiled as if we both knew we had played each others hand and for a brief moment it was a respect. That was given both ways as l sat there eating my divine desert and thinking Yes impacts on perception. Done the right way made me one How good it felt to appreciate every bite of my lemon tart taste last forever . l learned how to become a better Google reviewer because l took a chance and now that's why the Fairmont not only a fantastic hotel but a believer in how serious they saw we are here and care about giving Dallas a place that stands out and get to tell special stories like these thanks to Google maps and reviews To Be True To You My Moto ! Google
Terrible service, really bad. And prices were astronomical for breakfast. $20 for an omelette. Wow.

Google
Great service, but the steak was awful. 44$ for a steak with a terrible burnt sear. The medium rare was a lot more rare than it should’ve been (didn’t mind but not what i asked for) and you couldn’t taste anything past the burnt bits. Saving grace was the fantastic brisket Ruben!

Yelp
Amazing service and food si subpar. Some items are great others not worth the prices. Hotel restaurants can be pricey

Yelp
We have been staying at the Fairmont whilst in Dallas and have really enjoyed our breakfasts here. Nice touches include local breakfast dishes. The Texas waffles are a favourite for me! Food has been excellent and really fresh. A real highlight of our meals here has been our server Igor. He has been delightful with our children and has great conversation. He has been really welcoming even at 6.30am in the morning!

Bill L.

Yelp
Friendly helpful and attentive service. Food well presented and good value. Nice calming atmosphere with a varied menu would definitely recommend the roasted squash ravioli.

Yelp
Aldo was amazing!!! He needs to be everywhere! So friendly!! He is a bright light to this place!!

Hunter S.

Yelp
Very solid! First off I would highly recommend the fried cauliflower over everything. Was insanely good!

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and visit this amazing restaurant and bar in Dallas. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing - everything I've tasted melted in my mouth. John makes the best cocktails in Dallas and Denis makes everyone feel at home. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Came in a couple minutes after the kitchen closed & sat at the bar, I had a really bad sweet tooth & Oscar the bartender was able to snag me every flavor of ice cream they had! Even made me a special dessert rum chata drink! Service was beyond exceptional! The atmosphere is very relaxed & quiet & perfectly well lit! Oscar really mad a regular out of me.

Joe C.

Yelp
Aldo was wonderful to our large loud great! he was a great server and can't wait to come back !

Yelp
Restaurant located in Fairmont Hotel. Service is superb (Thanks, Alyzza!) and the food is pretty good. I ordered: Sweet Gems Cobb: 4/5 Pretty good salad. We also hosted a private party here and Alyzza was so accommodating. Looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Ambience:5 Food:5 Service:3 Value:4 Return:5 By Day: Bright and sleek is their dining room. A lovely and quiet place it is for breakfasts and lunches. Service is wonderful but slow. Delicious are all the items I have tried, I am particularly fond of their Eggs Benedicts, Cobb Salads & Rueben Sandwiches! By Night: Fabulous and lively is the bar on weekdays. Wonderfully crafted are their Fairmont Martinis. At times, I'd switch to their Texas G+T's. Appreciate the darkness in carrying the stress of the day away! CHEERS! ps this review only covers breakfast, lunch, and cocktails, I haven't tried Pyramid's dinner as of yet

Tam L.

Yelp
We ordered room service while staying at the hotel this restaurant is located in and really liked the food! The fish and chips really surprised me. The batter was crispy and the fish inside was so flaky and tender. The edamame hummus was also really good and a little spicy. The pita that came with it wasn't great though. It wasn't toasted or heated up at all. It also came with long pieces of English cucumber that were really fresh and crispy. The shishito peppers were good, not the best I've ever had, but good enough. Would have been better with some rock salt flakes on it.

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend for New Year's Eve 2015 dinner and Xmas Eve 2016, but the review below was for NYE. For New Year's Eve he made reservations and it turned out to be a pre fixe menu, which saddened me, because it's usually not as good anywhere you go. At best I have salivated over something on their regular menu, which now I can't have. Oh well it's often the case on holidays. From the minute we walked in they were very warm and welcoming. It had a nice ambience and they had New Year's Eve hats etc at the tables. The appetizers were ok, but my entree was great. I ended up going with the fish.

Yelp
We decided as a family to do a nice dinner on Christmas night and made reservations weeks in advance. The menu was fixed for the evening and included a dessert buffet. We were excited to try this restaurant for the first time. Shortly after being seated, our waiter arrived at our table. He didn't say much. For the rest of our meal, he said very little to us and gave short answers when asked a question. We thought we might get a Merry Christmas and at least a general level of service for the cost and experience at the Fairmont. The quality of the meal did not rise to the level of the cost. The dessert buffet was the best part of the experience. I wanted to like it more, especially for the total bill we received. As we were getting ready to leave, we heard another table remark about the service, confirming we weren't the only ones disappointed. They said they would not come back. We will not either.

Candace M.

Yelp
Breakfast review-Everyone said try the buffet but I got a breakfast sandwich which was decent but very salty. The coffee was amazing. Next time I'll probably try the buffet as the a la cart options are overpriced ( which I was expecting at a hotel restaurant). I will say that Pyramid has excellent service.

Emily K.

Yelp
It's okay. I ate at the Pyramid Bar my first night in and my dish (cracklin' chicken) was not satisfying in the way you expect for a four diamond restaurant. I went back to give the restaurant a shot because I wanted to try the pork belly and souis vide egg which I had as my starter followed by a Cesar salad. The food was delicious! The service was really good too!! I would definitely pick the restaurant over the bar (slightly different menus). Edited to reflect my experience tonight. It was fantastic. Service is phenomenal. The wait staff remembered details about my order (no cheese, no butter, no bread) and worked with me to get a dish that fantastic. I had the watermelon gazpacho to start followed by a Cesar salad with steak. It was delicious. I would definitely come back.

Jaclyn A.

Yelp
The food is exceptional here! And the wine selection is non-parallel! Our waiter Miguel gave us his upmost professional and personal service any waiter could give. Going back to the subject of food... it's all homemade from scratch made with love. I don't know the name of the current chef, but seriously should be celebrated. The dessert was a home baked blueberry pie with homemade orange ginger ice cream with a candied orange slice. Sooo amazing! My friend and I wish the restaurant success in its future and that more people come to try it here. It's quiet to the point where you can have meaningful conversations. We will be back!

Roxanne K.

Yelp
Every time I go back here for lunch I'm more and more disappointed... the service is always great, but the food is usually not. Several visits later and I had to downgrade this place. The bolognese is not a bolognese at all, the carbonara is usually to thick and heavy... especially for lunch. Only the chicken is worthwhile for the business lunch... but with so many great places nearby I will have to pass on this place from now on.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! According to its website, the restaurant was recently redesigned, and kudos to the architect. The place looks incredible, open and airy but very refined. And oh yeah, the dinner was nice too. For appetizers, I went with the onion bisque, although I was sorely tempted by the special tomato bisque our waiter was selling. I don't think I would've gone wrong either way. The majority of the table went with salads, which looked great. The house also featured red and yellow beet cubes, which were a great decorative piece but went uneaten. Ah well. My main course was the chili rub rib-eye, which was absolutely delicious. Elsewhere, the scallops were a big hit as well. The only complaint was dessert, which featured an only so-so pear tart (I ate the pear, and left everything else). The waiters serving our table were commendable as well. Attentive service, but not overbearing, and perfectly game as we kept asking them for more bread. We ended up staying for 3+ hours, and they were perfect hosts the whole time. Well done.

Yelp
Being at the Fairmont, your expectations are already up there. Pyramid doesn't quite live up to those expectations. Atmosphere- nice environment, nothing particularly special, I'd say its about your average run of the mill "fancy" set up. The wall of wine is a nice modern touch, but everything else is pretty run of the mill. Service- great. I don't know if this is just because we were the only ones there, but they were on point with everything. Sometimes I think they were just itching to refill our wine glasses or water just so they'd have something to do. Either way, they were very attentive. Food- meh. The salmon tartare was ok. I don't think the salmon was actually raw however, tasted like chopped smoked salmon. The baguette slices were toasted nicely and the quail egg was cooked just right. After the appetizer, the meal just went a bit downhill. I had their tenderloin as the main course, medium rare. Looked more medium than medium rare and it was rather dry until you got to the center of the cut. The mashed potatoes that come with it needed more butter (texture was a little off), but the taste was ok. For dessert I had an apple crumb cake that was also really dry and was rather bland if not for the ice cream that came with it.. I lucked out as this was a company sponsored dinner, so no money was out of my pocket, but if I had to pay for that meal, I would have been a little upset. For these prices, there are many other fine dining establishments that do a better job.

Yelp
Excellent foods and services - warm welcome from Valet Parking to front desk. chef Anthony prepares great appetizers and main courses. Waiters are friendly and made me feel like home, especially Miguel. The 32oz Tomahawk Steak is Magnificent !!

Mary Y.

Yelp
This place has the best food and atmosphere! My husband made reservations on a Friday night and it was not packed at all. Everything we got was so yummy and fresh. They use a lot of local ingredients. Staff was very friendly and service was very good! If you get Miguel as your server than you will have a lovely evening, trust me. This place did not disappoint. Perfect dinner for date night!

Yelp
The Pyramid Restauarant was arguably one of the best meals I had during my weeklong stay in Dallas, although I may have been biased by the fact that I really wanted to have ribeye -- any ribeye -- in Texas before I left. For my appetizer, I got the SALMON TARTARE (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/pyramid-restaurant-and-bar-dallas?select=P9Q6I1TSbjZjsV2MxSoD9Q#P9Q6I1TSbjZjsV2MxSoD9Q) which is served with a poached quail egg, frisee (curly endive), whole grain mustard sauce, and three slices of grilled baguette. The baguette was a little too hard for my liking, but overall the dish came together wonderfully and I would definitely recommend this dish! The highlight of the meal was the NIMAN RANCH RIBEYE (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/pyramid-restaurant-and-bar-dallas?select=P9Q6I1TSbjZjsV2MxSoD9Q#wYajnwffNNu0Hb9lxDw8Tw), which comes with a red wine butter sauce, chive mashed potatoes, roasted mushrooms, and glazed carrots. The meat just melted in my mouth and, while I'm not usually a fan of carrots, even the glazed carrots were a memorable addition to the plate. I would go back to Dallas just for this dish, and trust me, I've had a lot of steak dishes in my life. Highly recommend! Now where the meal lost a few points was during dessert, where I ordered the APPLE CRUMB CAKE (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/pyramid-restaurant-and-bar-dallas?select=P9Q6I1TSbjZjsV2MxSoD9Q#AlEt0KefHejXYrIksOQleg), served with cranberries, rum cider caramel, and creme fraiche ice cream. The ice cream was good but the apple crumb cake itself left me wanting more. I think it speaks volumes that what I remember most from this dish are the cranberries, which was supposed to be garnish. Overall, the clean, modern decor, attentive staff, and delicious food was a wonderful introduction to Dallas (my first meal here!) and will not disappoint for you either!

Yelp
We spent the night at the Fairmont Hotel and had breakfast at Pyramid. There was really no crowd at 8am, perhaps only 3 or 4 tables seated. My wife took a look at the buffet but she's vegetarian and the buffet was very meat heavy so we ordered off the menu. I had banana but French toast and she ordered the American breakfast. The American comes with a meat side but the staff was quick and willing to sub out a pancake for the meat option. The food was good, the staff nice, and the coffee was fresh. There are other options nearby but on a rainy Saturday this beat roaming in the drizzle to find a cheaper waffle.

Sandy J.

Yelp
Had the buffet breakfast here two days in a row while staying at the hotel. It was overpriced for what it was I think. Service was good. Liked the homemade jelly. Food was average.

Faris M.

Yelp
Back in the day this place was all the rage. Sophia Lauren and many headliners were known to frequent the pyramid when in town. Sadly that is not the case anymore. The menu was very limited and carried Ruth's Chris style pricing. I went for a Caesar salad with a filet for my entree. We had bread as well as a kind of pizza cracker. This place is not big on sides so I had none. I finished off with a caramel apple crisp and vanilla ice cream. My meal was tasty and cooked as I asked however one member was very dissatisfied with his filet. All in all having a filet on the menu saved me. Unfortunately it reminded me of a small restaurant at an airport hotel just not much bang for your buck. Our server was very personable and was a plus for the night.

Derek B.

Yelp
We come here every Christmas because they always have great food and service. We had the Christmas dinner which was a menu you chose an appetizer, entree and they had a desert table you could get several deserts from. For an appetizer, I had the chestnut bisque which was lobster bisque flavored with chestnut broth. It was very good and there were good sized pieces of lobster in it. For my entree I had the prime rib and it was cooked perfectly and was very tender. The deserts left a little to be desired, they were not very sweet in my opinion. Our server Gustavo who has been there for years was excellent as always.

Carl J.

Yelp
Perfectly ok hotel restaurant, slightly trending Italian. For dinner I had a very nice tagliatelle with chicken, a tasty little bread basket, a glass of rose wine, an excellent citrus cheese cake and a cappuccino. Combined with very nice and efficient service, nothing could go wrong. Highly recommended if you are staying at Fairmont Dallas (Downtown), and for dinner you have the bar afterwards if you so wish. It was too noisy for my taste, so I skipped it!

Maria S.

Yelp
Though I never had dinner here, I did enjoy both breakfast and lunch on several occasions. On par with other upscale hotel establishments, the prices for breakfast are extreme, but the food is quite good. Since I don't have the appetite for a buffet breakfast, I ordered from the a la carte menu, which can be a way to save some cash. The eggs were always cooked to order, and they even let me grab fresh fruit from the buffet instead of serving me a sad little fruit cup on the side. Service is friendly, and very efficient. (And if you happen to have a food allergy, as I do, just inform your server and the chef will take good care of you.) Lunch is a better value, as the entrees are reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the grilled salmon with the avocado tomatillo salsa and smoked corn mash. The bar is also quite nice, albeit a tad on the cozy side, but the service and the drinks are very good. Pyramid is definitely not your typical hotel restaurant. It's worth checking out for a business lunch - or breakfast - if you're in the area.

Dave K.

Yelp
Solid restaurant with excellent service in an atmosphere that feels a bit too much like the "lobby restaurant" at the Fairmont. In a perfect world, I'd isolate it a bit more from the lobby. It has a pretty limited menu of fairly frou-frou but very good food. I started the lobster and enjoyed my (pretty small) piece of it. My wife had the beet salad which she loved. My wife had the ribeye which cooked perfectly and I had the roasted chicken which was very good. I also had breakfast here where the food was again very good, if a touch under-seasoned and pricey.

lauren m.

Yelp
I had a perfectly nice time here. The place was kind of dead for a Saturday night, but that meant we got great service. The food was fresh and delicious. Sometimes at high end places, the food is tiny. Not here. Things were pretty plentiful. I opted to get the beet salad and dinner special - the seafood pasta. Nothing was mind-blowing, but it was all good. The blueberry clafoutis dessert was tangy and warm. Go up to the terrace and see where they grow the vegetables and herbs. You can valet your car for free for four hours at the hotel.

Darlene B.

Yelp
And bar was super expensive the drinks are good but really small. The food was expensive and mediocre very disappointed.

Iliana A.

Yelp
A very average meal. Service was attentive, but missed a few things such as setting appetizer plates for our shared appetizer before it was brought. I ordered as Texas mule, which was bland, and I was never asked if I wanted another one. Lentils with the pork chop was undercooked. An okish experience, but I don't think we will return, unless, of course, we stay at the Fairmont Hotel.

Kristy R.

Yelp
Located within the Fairmont Hotel is Pyramid Restaurant. To me it doesn't look like much of a restaurant, it more so resembles a typical hotel bar. Small area situated in the lobby of the hotel. Decent size bar with a few tables and chairs. The food looked okay but we only came to drink. Beers were in the NY price range (surprising), cocktails were expensive. Service was great. Our waitress was very nice and personable. Not a bad place if you're just looking to relax for a bit.

Dawn C.

Yelp
We went here for a holiday dinner enjoying a variety of entrees, sides & desserts. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and attentive and the entrance decorated beautifully for the holidays.

Brian K.

Yelp
Looking at the other reviews makes it seem like this place is hit or miss, it was a hit on the day we went. The pate brulee was interesting in a good flavorful way. The pate itself was smooth and creamy and the bruleed crunchy sugar top was a nice contrast to the savory buttery pate. The grilled bread that came with it was good but buttery toast is hard to mess up. Our soups were nice, the fish was properly cooked but not outstanding. The pork chop was my favorite. It was juicy, well seasoned with a nice balance of flavors. The sides worked well but the chickpeas were overdone and a bit too mushy. Dessert was fine, prices are a bit high, service was great. I think the place is worth trying especially if you can find the three course meal deals around the internet.

Barry J.

Yelp
Fancy. You got your suit on, then pyramids is the spot. They're entree's are cooked but the flavor doesnt stick out. However, someone gave me some of their wings the other day... this ish should be #1 on the menu

Em S.

Yelp
Hubby made a 1,000 point reservation for a late dinner at Pyramid. He didn't bother to research the place to see that it is located in the Fairmont Hotel. Not that being in a hotel is a bad thing-just not preferable. But hey-free valet is a huge plus. I'll cut to the chase: service was great and attentive. We couldn't find anything on the menu that appealed to us but the bar cocktail menu had decent offerings. We were afraid to order off of the bar menu given that we were seated in the restaurant part. We ended up splitting the filet daily special as neither of us were super hungry. It wasn't good but we didn't complain. I wish we would have researched the reviews first...

Monique P.

Yelp
It's a shame the Pyramid has such a "lobby restaurant" feel. It's really excellent. I bought a Travelzoo deal for $65 which entitled us to $125 of food excluding drinks. I was apprehensive and thought there would be some hidden charges but there weren't and it was simply a great deal. I ordered from the 3 course menu. I ordered the Apricot risotto, salmon entree and apple tart dessert. All were hearty and wonderful. My boyfriend ordered the scallop with lobster ravioli appetizer, squid ink linguine with grilled shrimp and candy bar dessert, which he enjoyed very much. The food and service were wonderful. The restaurant wasn't crowded on a Friday night. I recommend trying the Pyramid especially when the Travelzoo deal rolls around. I believe valet is free if you eat there.

Yelp
The Fairmont Hotel has been a special part of my family for a long time. My grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary there a few years ago, and my parents and I have stayed there many times. I always recalled the restaurant as one of the "fancier" places in Dallas and more old fashioned. So when I heard they brought on a new chef and developed an all-new menu that is more accessible and modern, I decided to treat my dad to a nice dinner and check it out! First off, the service was outstanding. The manager Jonathan made us feel so welcome, and our server Miguel was very friendly and attentive. We found a very well-priced Pinot Noir (under $50!) and settled in for our meal. The chef sent out an amuse bouche which was nice. It was a tiny cup of cantaloupe gazpacho. Perfect for the warm evening, and the perfect start to our meal. The appetizers all looked so good, but we decided on the Pork & Apples and the deconstructed Banh Mi dish. The Pork & Apples was AMAZING! The pork belly was crisp but melt-in-your-mouth tender. It was resting on little swipes of house-made honey-mustard (from the bee hives on the roof) and wilted greens. But the apples! I've never seen anything like them--the chef said they were canned apples. They have the texture and sweetness of baked apples, rolled in a caramel sauce and crushed pecans. Heavenly! The dish was a triumph of sweet and savory coming together. The Banh Mi dish was a twist on the classic, with confit rabbit rillettes instead of pork pate. You spread the rabbit on baguette, then top with the fresno chile aioli and pickled veggies and herbs. It was so fun and tasty! I also got the Raw Garden salad, which is really cool because it's lettuce-free. Just hearty raw veggies sliced super thin and seasoned, so there was a lot of crunch and flavor. Very good salad! For our entrees, I got the Shrimp & Grits and my dad got the Salmon. My Shrimp & Grits was outstanding! The blue-corn grits were the perfect consistency and very flavorful. The shrimp were not wimpy at all, and tasted fresh out of the ocean. It sounds crazy, but one of my favorite things about the dish was the tomatoes. I'm not sure how they cooked them, but they had a really concentrated tomato flavor. My dad's salmon was great as well, with a very crispy exterior--my only complaint of the whole meal was that it was a little overcooked (I like my salmon a little raw in the middle) but the flavors were there. Love the fresh sauteed veggies that came with it, too! So at this point we were getting pretty full but having such a great time, and we couldn't resist tasting some of the desserts (that's what to-go boxes are made for, amirite?) so I ordered the Ice Cream Sandwich and dad got the Bread Pudding. Let me tell you, I'm so happy I boxed up half of my dinner so I had room for dessert. The ice cream sandwich was spectacular! I've never had anything like it. The cookies were chamomile flavored, with lavender ice cream and blueberry compote inside. I loved how they presented it in a little wax paper wrapper. So cute! My dad's bread pudding was super rich, but it was the ice cream on top that blew me away. I have no clue how they do it but it has this crunchy exterior, almost like it's rolled in toffee? YUM! Also, Jonathan recommended some dessert wine for us to try with our selections and it was the perfect pairing. At some point while I was slipping into a food coma the chef, Brandon, came and spoke with us. He was very warm and seemed genuinely interested in how we were enjoying everything. I gave him a high five and a thumbs up lol. I could hear other tables telling him how much they enjoyed their food as well. A table near us ordered a vegan pasta dish that looked very interesting--I'll have to come back and try it next time! We had such a great time and I will for sure be back to try some other things on the menu, like the Brick Chicken and the Pasta Carbonara. The prices are reasonable for such a "fancy" place and I could see myself coming to the bar for happy hour and a bite to eat.

Yelp
Because of a career of sorts that had me meet clients endlessly in hotels, I was a little apprehensive to meet a internet date there. Of course the Fairmont is one of Dallas's best hotels and I've been there quite a bit, but never paid attention to the restaurant. I don't know how long it's actually been open but I know this was my first time eating there. Anyway, the restaurant is basically in the hotel lobby which made it a little odd for an internet date. It wasn't what I would call intimate but that is OK too. But I did want to hear my date and the place was on the loud side because it is in a lobby. My date didn't pan out. I could tell he was a player. First he has been single for quite a while but talked about finding someone right away. Red Flag. Then he agreed with everything I said. Red Flag. Then he wanted to know if I was "fun" and "spontaneous". Those are code word for if I buy you dinner will something pan out for me. I'd phase it a different way, but this is a family site. Single girls you know what I mean. The date was a waste but I came from my office in the Renaissance Towers so I was dress appropriately. The food was really good. It was a lot better than I expected being in a lobby and everything. I had the roasted chicken and a side of mushroom risotto. Mushroom risotto is one of the dishes I can make well at home so I love to compare when given the chance. They did a great job and the wait staff was warm and friendly. I would definitely come, especially around the holiday time as the lobby was very festive and pretty.

Yelp
You want SERVICE?! Friday Night was a well-oiled-machine. Gustabo, is easily the most refreshing Table-Bro I've ever 'hung out with while eating'! The Steak. It's expensive. It's good. Drink are bomb-ass, for sure. Nearby table-peeps were legit AF. DESSERT! Ban-fos? Yup! Pral-tart? JES'ZIR!! A BUNCH OF MILLIONS STARS! ~rh P.S. Hold on! Gotta pay!...

Yelp
The Pyramid is in the Fairmont Hotel - its a very upscale place all the way from the bar to the rooms. I was always a VIP when I came here, starting at the door when we pulled up in a limo - I never knew arriving in a limo would set the course for the rest of the night but it REALLY does! Yes this place is expensive but the statement you get what you pay for is very true, and this is a classy place that you wont regret spending big money at! Service and the food here is phenomenal. I had my Birthday dinner here one year and was blown away at all the special touches they put on everything - just amazing. If your wanting to really impress someone, or are celebrating a special occasion in style this is the place to do it at!

Yelp
I've never actually eaten at the restaurant, but my family (is lazy &) has had our Thanksgiving meal catered from here twice now. Cooking for Thanksgiving is too much work when you can just get it catered. The amount of food they give is tremendous, and the prices are about the same, if not cheaper than Whole Foods or Central Market. It consists of a whole turkey, sweet potatoes, a salad, pumpkin soup, corn bread & other breads, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, stuffing & a pie. The usual Thanksgiving fare. Nothing is really 'mind-blowing', but it is just traditional Thanksgiving stuff for a reasonable price. Unusual takes on this type of stuff might even be unappreciated since there is just so much 'tradition' with these dishes. I will say that the cream of pumpkin soup is really good. My family loves having 'The Pyramid' as an option for Thanksgiving when we are too lazy to cook it ourselves.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday for Restaurant Week's lunch Menu. Food was horrible and I felt like I was at Perkins, rather than a nice restaurant. We had a cold soup and salad vinaigrette for appetizers. For the main entrees, my other half was served with a rotisserie chicken on a bed of veggies (Not lunch worthy). My entree was a Hamburger with fries. For desserts, he had a yogurt dish and I had the Smore's - served with hard sticky marshmallows and unmelted, very hard chocolate. Overall - it was a horrible experience. I've had a better service elsewhere with Food.

Yelp
This place earns 3.5 stars 4 stars for food 3 stars for service Went here using a Travelzoo voucher. If I'd known how much $125 worth of food would purchase, I would've brought my friends along as well. We started off with leek soup - thick and creamy; quite delicious and pork belly, which melted in your mouth. The entrees were well-made as well (cobia and fillet). One of my disappointments was not having enough time to try their desserts. Another disappointment was not having scallops available. Last disappointment was the moscow mule I ordered. It was terrible and NOT served in a copper mug. The so-called 'mule' was sent back for a wine instead. Service was a little rough, our waiter seemed very antsy and couldn't stand still. Overall, go and try the food, but beware of the drink cocktails.

Yelp
This review is of the bar experience, as I arrived right before the restaurant closed. Drinks were made promptly and accurately. I had some difficulty ordering, the bartender couldn't hear me over the music, which was a pretty bad satellite-radio pop mix. A place like this would benefit from a DJ or a hand-picked playlist or pandora station. The decor was the best part of the experience, it has held up well to a high-traffic environment and had lots of nice touches (especially the lighting), which made looking around the room into a "where's Waldo" game. Except instead of finding Waldo, you're finding thoughtful design. Not as grand as the Adolphus, but what bar could be? I ordered a cheese board, which was gorgeous and full of tasty treats. A steal at $12! Put this place on your list of downtown hotel bars to explore on your next Internet date!

Yelp
So frustrating to pay these prices for really poor service. I truly felt like the invisible man. I asked for tea with no lemon it came with lemon. I asked for harvest vegetables instead of mash potatoes my filet came with mashed potatoes. My beverage glass remained empty for most of my meal. It continued to remain empty while I waited 15 minutes to get my check. The filet was OK. I had had a filet at Dakota's last night and the difference in preparation made this mediocre piece of meat seem extraordinarily disappointing. Now to make things worse the waiter says he cannot produce a bill and has asked me to simply provide my room number for billing my meal. Very low class. Long story longer they comped my meal which was very nice. I just wished we had had a better experience.
