Before going to the city we had dinner at Q Grill in Fort Lee, the restaurant has a very welcoming decor with large tables equipped with the traditional grill.
We ordered the beef combo, which arrives with the typical assortment of pickles, salads and kimchi, there is a nice variety, but there were some hits and some misses. But we soon focused on the main attraction, the meat! As is customary everything is grilled table side to your requested wellness, first was the skirt stake, that was one heck of an opener, this isn't the easiest cut to prepare well and this was definitely the unsung hero of the combo, it was flavorful and cooked to perfection, unfortunately the hanger and picania were just OK.
As the meal progressed we also received the egg and kimchi soup (there are a few options to choose and we went for the kimchi soup), these were really great, with the kimchi soup being one of the better ones we experienced recently and def a notch above some of the k-bbq places we frequent
Service was great, and overall we enjoyed the experience, though compared to some of the other k-bbq places around fell a bit short, at least as in regards to the beef combo.
