The 29 Best Restaurants in Columbus, Ohio | Eater

"Those who claim obeisance to the art of coffee brewing should pay their respects to the expert baristas at Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co., who utilize beans sourced directly from Yemen to instantly transport visitors. Fragrant aromatics emerge from coffee drinks like mufawaar, which is boiled with cardamom, and juban, which is prepared with cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger, as staff diligently work with traditional cezve pots (also known as ibriks) on the stove. Peruse the pastry case for items like delicate honeycomb bread, rose milk cakes, and flakey filo fingers, before grabbing a seat on a bright red knitted cushion to enjoy your coffee." - Angela Lee

I had a wonderful Mother’s Day at Qamaria. The iced pistachio latte was absolutely delicious. This is the only location I recommend because they make the best coffee and lattes. My husband really enjoyed his coffee. The desserts were phenomenal and everyone was so nice. The customer service was 10/10. The three girls were so kind and welcoming to our kids which made the experience even more special. I cannot wait to visit again!

Google
Beautiful interior with welcoming and friendly staff and atmosphere. You could bring a big crowd here, the seating makes sense. Also look how beautiful the pistachio latte was phenomenal and they served my baklava hot with pistachio cream on top. I've never had it that was and wow it was so delicious.

Google
A Hidden Gem for Authentic Yemeni Flavors If you're looking for an authentic taste of Yemeni coffee, this café is a must-visit. The highlight for me is definitely their Aden tea—rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced. It's clear they put care into getting the traditional flavors just right. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with plenty of space to sit, relax, and enjoy time with friends. Whether you're there for a quiet cup or a social gathering, it feels comfortable and never cramped. The staff are incredibly polite and attentive, always making sure guests feel at home without being overbearing. Their hospitality really adds to the experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who appreciates authentic Middle Eastern flavors and a cozy, community-friendly vibe.

We recently visited and tried their "Instagram famous" Dubai Chocolate. It's worth noting that this item isn't listed on their in-restaurant menu or website, so be prepared to ask for the price – it's $17 per cup. The wait time for our order was over 15 minutes, and we observed similar delays for other customers, suggesting a generally slow service. On the bright side, the restaurant boasts a very large seating area. As for the Dubai Chocolate itself, it was indeed delicious and quite tasty. However, I'd consider it more of a one-time novelty rather than a regular indulgence.

Google
Cute place and delicious coffee! I ordered the Qamaria Latte, love the unique flavor of cardamom and cinnamon. The place was clean and lively. Will be back.

We tried some cake and tea when we stopped here. The tea was good and cake was ok, mini rose pie was great. Turkish delight was not our favorite, couldn’t eat fully. Would definitely recommend this place if you have been to other locations in Columbus. Lot of seating and great atmosphere. Interestingly noticed a 3.5% service fee charged on our check, even though there is no table service at this place. Lot of parking and great location.

Google
Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. is a wonderful spot for Muslim family gatherings, offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Their kettle tea is rich and soothing, and the Pischao cake is absolutely divine. A perfect blend of tradition and taste!

Google
The coffee and pastries at the cafe were so good! My absolute favorite was the milk cake; it was delicious and soft. I also loved the customer service. Soniya and Aya were very nice and helpful. They made me feel welcome and made my visit even better. I can't wait to go back for more tasty treats! Highly recommend this cafe!

Yelp
Such a wonderful place, I love to coming here to study as there is plenty of seating, free wifi, and a very calming vibe. The staff is friendly and I had the dubai chocolate strawberry cup, which was fantastic as well. Love coming here, and they're open late, which is a bonus if you're a night owl!
google avatar

Yelp
I had the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup here and it was spectacular! A veritable cup of delicious decadence. This place is huge and spacious - so much seating, room for everyone. Their dessert cases are full of amazing sweets and treats galore! What an incredible addition to the LC food and drinks scene. I'll be back soon to try more!

Yelp
I live just a few minutes from Qamaria and it's my favorite place for coffee in Lewis Center! My favorites include the Pistachio Latte, the Qamaria Latte and anything iced! The place is huge and nicely decorated! My book club had our monthly meeting here last weekend! We had a nice section to ourselves and the soft music was a nice touch! Everyone was raving about the coffee and treats for days! On another occasion I've stopped in to do work on my computer or for a quiet place for a Zoom call! I love having this place nearby! ALSO don't pass on the Dubai Strawberry Cups! They are phenomenal!

Yelp
Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. Aden Shai Latte: Premium black tea, steamed milk with cardamom, and topped with milk foam. Inquired about the taste. Mango Smoothie: Absolutely delicious. Trendy cafe serving single-origin Yemeni coffee alongside desserts such as baklava.

Yelp
This is their second Ohio location in Lewis Center. This location is much bigger than their Hilliard location and super happy on this new addition. Their coffee bar is very spacious and open. Once you order, you can see your coffee being freshly brew toward on the right. Not to mention, all their pastries are nicely display on the side as well. Their coffee source originate from Yemen and their blend is unique, which contribute from the different combination of species and herbs. Have to get my favorite Iced Pistachio Latte and paired with the Pistachio Milk Cake. It is super milky and almost instantly melt in my mouth. It is not overly sweet and great companion with the latte.

Yelp
Great place to visit with friends and family. Plenty of space to sit and there are games you can play while you relax with your drink/food. Friendly customer service. This place can get pretty busy at night when the weather is nice. I have tired few of their drinks, but my favorite is their hot Pistachio latte. IT'S SO GOOD. As per food, I really like their milk cake (any flavor) and their honeycomb bread.
google avatar

Yelp
Think it's really the biggest coffehouse with pretty seatings and decorations. They have a wide variety of pastry but there's no descriptions or price indicated. It would be beneficial to have descriptions especially with online ordering. I did online ordering so it can be misleading especially when i ordered chocolate pistachio cheesecake. It's not what i expected. It's basically cheesecake with chocolate ganache and topped with some chocolate coated maybe pistachio?! I thought it would be a pistachio cheesecake with chocolate. I would try some other dessert next time after seeing it for myself. The pistachio iced latte is the best thou! It would be even better if there were more pistachio sauce to bring out the pistachio flavor. It's still something i would order again but its kinda pricey. The honeycomb is interesting. Its like a cream cheese bread but you can actually tear it apart and still have cream cheese in every bite. The honey drizzled on top brings out the extra sweetness.

Yelp
Pros: Unique space - large and airy Beautiful space - embroidered seat cushions Located near the Drug Mart so lots of parking So many different pastries - my favorites are the milk cakes Wonderful coffees and other beverages Cons: The options can be overwhelming Language can be a barrier Pro tip: There are a few locations in town and definitely a try! A great place to visit with friends/family that is different from Starbucks.
google avatar

Bethany K.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! I have been here several times.... I have tried quite a few desserts, with the honeycomb being my absolute favorite. What keeps me coming back is the pistachio latte! And most recent outing, they now have an infamous Dubai chocolate bar . It carries a hefty price tag of $25, but I'll be honest, it's worth it!

Yelp
Plenty of seating at this location! They have several tables and chairs and a lounge area as well, which offers board games as well to play. I have been twice so far and the experiences have been different. First time, there was a mistake in our order and the food case was nearly empty, including no honeycomb available, even though it was a Saturday afternoon. Today, we went in on a week night and everything was stocked well. There was a good amount of people present as well. The order took much longer than expected to be ready. The iced pistachio latte is my favorite. I usually get it without the ice. The pistachio is a very nice addition to the latte. The honeycomb is always nice and warm and perfect with the drizzle of honey. The red velvet cake was just okay, not my favorite take on it. The rose milk cake was good, but the caramel flavor is supreme within the milk cakes. Looking forward to going back to try the other drinks.

Yelp
I tried out this coffee shop with my family. The space is large and bright yet the ambiance is comfortable. It was very clean as well. The staff was friendly, efficient, and made our order as requested. We had a kettle of the Adan Tea and Honey Cake. I liked the kettle that the tea was in and the cups - the candle burner kept the tea warm and also added to the cozy ambiance. The tea is absolutely delicious and the honey cake was also very good - I would get this order again.

Yelp
This place is worth going to. Why? Amazing coffee and fantastic baked good. It's as simple as that! You have to try the Qamaria latte! It just had the greatest flavor. I also tried their tea (adeni latte) while there, also very good but the Qamari coffee was hands down better, tbo. (5 stars, tea 4....) They make many of their own baked goods the pistachio milk cake (aka pistachio tres leche) was definitely made there and was very good! We also tried an item called the "honeycomb" which is homemade bread (kind of the consistency of bagel or pretzel dough) every round section of it is stuffed sith cream cheese and then honey is drizzled over it. AMAZING!!! 5 stars! The food and drinks are given to you on a tray and the drinks served in cups with saucers. Super nice touch. They play the most relaxing and meditative music. It is very zen there. If you have the option to sit on one of the red cushioned benches, do that! Surprisingly comfy. The only thing I thought was off was there seemed like there was way too many tables on the floor, but, hey- they can definitely handle large groups easily! Review dropped to a 4 stars only due to aesthetics in the dining room, the booths seating was perfect but the rest just was lacking... something. Couldn't out my finger on it. Still, the coffee and baked goods were so great - I was happy I drove across town to try this place. I recommend trying it! .

Yelp
the strawberry mango smoothie was one of the best things I've ever tasted in my whole life. I drank it and it felt like comfort and delicious, sweet and cool happiness. I would come here every week for that drink alone. they were sold out of the honeycomb pastry (and I got there at 10 so I'll have to try and get there when they open sometime), so I got baklava and rose milk cake, both of which were solid. the baklava was layered, sweet, crunchy, nutty, and overall perfect texture (coming from someone with autism too!). the rose cake was very sweet and decadent, it took me a while to finish the piece it was so rich! the servers were super kind and helpful when I was unsure what to grab, and felt very welcoming. finally, the vibes: a happy space for families and individuals alike. I LOVED the cushions and leaning on one while reading my book, I was so comfortable and loved the set up. There were plenty of tables AND outlets along the cushioned sofa, so it would be the perfect place to work or study for a bit. I didn't check if they had wifi but I will ask next time.

Yelp
Located by the corner of Polaris Parkway and South Old Street Road this new coffee shop is serving up some delicious coffees, teas, smoothies, desserts and more. I finally got to try a Turkish coffee. It was strong, flavorful and absolutely yummy. I also had a Sabaya.... an amazing homemade thin layers of bread drizzled with honey. Such a simple but unique dessert. I also highly recommended the homemade rose and pistachio milk based cake with icing and crushed pistachios. This is such a beautiful and yummy treat. The service was great. The food and drinks were amazing and this little shop is super cozy and relaxing. I'd your looking for a unique twist on a coffee shop, rather than the typical run of the mill places out there, you really should check this place out.

Yelp
Very nice baristas the coffee was good. I paid cash and they said they didn't have any change. That was kind of weird, but I think the language barrier was a bit challenging for one of them. The benches are really nice, but overall it's kind of sterile and like a big café
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. Who needs that evil corporate coffee shop when you have amazing local coffee shops like Qamaria. Their coffee is soooo good! They offer traditional Yemen coffee along with several house made baked goods. I ordered the Qamaria Latte and was not disappointed. They have several coffees and teas to choose from. Servers were very pleasant and polite. We ordered from counter and waited at our table for our name to be called. Was pleased when I went to counter to see our items on a tray for our table. Lots of tables to choose from and several with bench searing along the out wall. Great area to sit and enjoy coffee with friends or bring your laptop to work as you enjoy a kettle of coffee. There is also very pleasant music playing in the background. This will be a must stop for coffee when I am in the area.

Yelp
I've been meaning to check this place out after many people told me how great it was. For starters, when you pull up, the cafe seems unassuming as it's just part of a little strip area. But once you go inside the cafe is huge with tons of tables and seating. They have one essentially continuous couch on their back wall that is super comfy and nice. This place also smells amazing, not like a normal coffee shop. There was a scent going that smelled so clean and amazing. I ordered the almond croissant and their signature Qamaria latte iced. The latte was good it has strong cinnamon and maybe clove flavors, but it's very good. The almond croissant was so delicious and warm. They have a case full of desserts to try and several different coffee options. I will definitely be back to try some more
google avatar

Nanci S.

Yelp
This stylishly bright coffee shop is perfect for large and small groups. They even have UNO games available! Our coffees and sweets were delicious. Whole and ground coffee and qishr (spiced coffee husks) are also sold. I highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Melanie T.

Yelp
I order one of their chai lattes, the worst drink I have ever had. No flavor. The almond croissant was over baked as well. This place was a fail for me!
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
Beautiful and friendly atmosphere with great window lighting and vibrant decor. There was counter service on a nice tray for the setup. It was delicious! Want to try the Turkish coffee one day.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
They say that Yemen is the birthplace of coffee, but after trying this I will say that Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. is the birthplace of truly delicious coffee. We tried the Qamaria coffee and the date cake and they were both delicious. We enjoyed the music, furniture, and art on the walls as well. Highly recommend if you are someone who likes coffee.
google avatar

Autumn H.

Yelp
I cannot rave more the pistachio latte. It was so good I could go back everyday for one. The girl that helped me was so sweet. The music was calm instrumental music (which I personally like) and the decor inside looked culturally traditional.
google avatar

Syed S.

Yelp
This is the second Qamaria location in the Columbus area (the first one being the one in Hilliard). Both locations are owned by two different franchisees, and while there are some differences (the LC location is much larger and has more pastry varieties), and thing they both have in common is the amazing coffee they serve up. The pistachio latte is probably the best coffee drink in Columbus (I prefer the iced version), but there are several other coffee, drink, and refresher options at this location that are unique and flavorful. This location also has some unique pastries, chief of which is the Honeycomb bread and the Nutella Cheesecake. Both Qamaria locations are open late (1 AM for the LC location), so I would advise that you check them out later in the day for fresher bakery items and a vibrant atmosphere.

Yelp
Wow, what a beautiful cafe! We ordered the pistachio latte, pistachio milk cake and a adeni tea. The pistachio milk cake was delicious, I didn't get much of a pistachio flavor but the cake itself reminded me of a tres leches. The pistachio latte was sweet and strong! The adeni tea took about 30 minutes, it reminded me of Indian Chai, so it was definitely delicious. I do not recommend to go in the evening if you are not an avid coffee/tea drinker because it is strong and you will not be able to sleep! Overall, I would come back here to try the other pastries.

Jessica K.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday at 1pm. We ordered an Adeni chai, Mufawaar, and cheese bread (forgot what it was called). We also tried a bite of our friend's pistachio cake. I enjoyed the Adeni Chai. Flavor was fragrant and strong. I chose to add my own sugar and it was perfect. I don't often add sugar, but this was strong enough that I needed some sweetness. My husband got the Mufawaar. It was a strong coffee with cream or milk. It's different than drip coffee and different than espressos. The cheese bread was not super cheesy. The bread is a thinner bread. Tasted good. We love the space. It's very spacious. Has tables of all sizes to fit any size party. There were also enough tables and other customers that we never felt rushed the 2 hours we were there. It's a great place to catch up with people if you want a place to chat. Also a good place to study if you don't mind noise. The pistachio cake didn't have enough pistachio flavor, but they was some chocolate in it and was good. Service is nice, but it does take a some time for drinks. They were out of a lot of cakes.
google avatar

Gayla B.

Yelp
Qamaria is very open and spacious! The employees were nice and helpful. I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte. It was good, but maybe a little over priced for the size. The desserts looked really good but I haven't tried them yet. I'll update when I do though!
google avatar

Tara B.

Yelp
Went here with my husband and our son to meet with a friend. My son and I got the Dubai Strawberries. He asked me mom "what's that green stuff in there" I lied ...lol and told him it was colored chocolate otherwise he wouldn't have tried it =). They are really great, but it's strawberries with chocolate, pistachio cream and kataifi. The coffee shop overall is very nice, the booth seating along the walls is nice and comfy. Plenty of room for everyone to sit.

Karen C.

Yelp
Amazing! The matcha latte was very good. The service was polite and nice. The ambiance was soothing, relaxing, clean, and beautiful.

Bereket G.

Yelp
Wow, how nice it is here! Come and see. Great service, too. I love the coffee and all the amenities. Amazing place. It's too bad they don't have authentic Yemeni food; this place would be the best in town. Hope one day they serve a full line of food service. Simply great coffee place.

Chris A.

Yelp
Charged tax on carry out. Shouldn't be tax in Ohio on carry out. Was told by employee that management knows of issue and customers complain about it all the time

arely z.

Yelp
I love the variety of drinks and baked goods here. It's me and my bf's favorite spot for a chill place to hangout and study especially with how late its open. Definetly should check out if you like going to cafes.
google avatar

Raj S.

Yelp
Been here a few times, great coffee, desserts, friendly staff, plenty of seating. Nice option for meetings in the burbs.
google avatar

Pavel V.

Yelp
I saw a new Yemeni coffee spot opened up and had to try it, and it did not disappoint. My first impressions walking in were that this place was very big and spacious, ready for a wave of guests to come through. There is nice soft Middle Eastern music playing and Middle Eastern-themed art and seating. The benches are made of thick fabric and have similar pillows that I can see collecting dirt over time, which may not be the best idea for a busy cafe. The drink options were plentiful. I tried the iced pistachio latte and the Qamaria latte, and both were delicious. If this place had a drive-through, I'd come here for my coffee. They also had several dessert options which looked good, although I wish they had more. I tried the Yemeni cheesecake and the rose milk cake. The rose cake was exceptional, and the cheesecake was good objectively, but not my preferred taste. They are also mindful of the people who celebrate Ramadan with very late open hours. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to try a new style of drinks and desserts.

Yvette X.

Yelp
I love Qamaria Yemeni coffee cafe in Lewis Center, OH! The variety and flavors of the coffee are what brings me back. Highly recommend the desserts, especially the lotus cheesecake. It's simple, creamy and delicious! The overall atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. The staff are great and work well together, even when it gets a little busy. But it's worth the wait.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried it with a friend and I have to say it's not bad! My breakdown: Ambiance - Solid 5 out of 5 stars. Such a fun switch up from Roosevelt or Starbucks. Lovely cultural touches. Service - Ok. 2 stars. Had questions about what the different products were and the staff needs to be trained. Like have them taste the different menu items and explain the difference for customers what they can enjoy. Location - 4 stars. Strip mall in Polaris with plenty of parking. Overall solid 3 stars. Will probably try again when in the area but would not go out of my way for this.

Nico N.

Yelp
I would give this place a five star last year. But now the ambiance has changed. The floor looks dirty and every time I came here in 2025, it looked under staff. The crowds are less but I may need to see for myself on weekend because I came on weekdays.
google avatar

Matt T.

Yelp
This is an excellent coffee shop with the most creative ideas for coffee beverages and delicious pastries and desserts. Sahar and the rest of the baristas were friendly and helpful and made the most delicious coffee drinks. Also, this store has the most incredible ambiance. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for a regular coffee shop.
google avatar

Arifa T.

Yelp
This is our friend's meet up spot as its huge and has great coffee and open late! We love the coffee and their desserts are great too.
google avatar

Belinda B.

Yelp
Best coffee and pastries in Columbus. Their coffee is amazing and their pistachio milk cake is like a pistachio tres leches cake. So yummy! I can't wait to go back and try all the pastries and the other types of coffee. Hand down, the best in town.
google avatar

Lisa V.

Yelp
Best baklava I've ever had; and I've had a lot! They serve it warm and the generous sized slice makes the perfect portion. I drink regular coffee at most places (as opposed to fancy flavored stuff) and let me tell you how amazing their Turkish coffee is!!! The cafe interior is gorgeous with ample seating and complimentary wifi. What a nice way to start the morning!!! Service is lovely.
google avatar

Rob E.

Yelp
Best coffee in the area! Great people. I love this place to hang out or do some work.

T K.

Yelp
I'm not sure what is so special about this place. Got the pistachio latte, chai, and pistachio cake. Pistachio latte had no pistachio flavor. Pistachio cake - had dusting of crushed pistachios on top but cake was just reg cake w milk. Chai was okay..... Expected more w the pistachio flavor. Service was also not good. Our drinks was sitting on the counter for a good 5 mins. I had to remind them that we got cake as well.
google avatar

Tanya T.

Yelp
The pistachio cake was delicious, and we loved the iced Adeni, and the hot. The atmosphere is very alive, and happening at this location. The service was good a little bit of a line but well worth it. I definitely will be back for sure.
google avatar

Jenny R.

Yelp
The difference between this location and the Hilliard one is huge. Hilliard is great. Wonderful service, ambiance, everything made perfectly. This location? Not so much. I just now got back in my car after walking in to order. The woman working there was standing around literally rubbing her eyes. I was standing right in front of her in front of the menu waiting to order. She continued staring around. More people came in behind me. She still helped Jo one. I left. This store also has a MAJOR fly problem. It's kind of gross. I will definitely go back to the Hilliard location but never again to this one.
google avatar

Tyann A.

Yelp
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLDKjDCh/ I tried the matcha and tiramisu! I loved the matcha!
google avatar

Donna N.

Yelp
I cannot stop thinking of the iced pistachio latte and the pistachio milk cake! The vibe and the hospitality was great! I'll be back for sure!

Brooke G.

Yelp
Horrible service, the girl at the front was extremely rude and had an attitude. It was my first time there and will not be going back.

Mafe Q.

Yelp
Love the pisctachio latte and the seats are really comfortable. The staff is really nice and everyone is very friendly
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! This place is amazing! The Qamaria Latte is probably the best coffee I've ever had. The cardamom & cinnamon flavor complemented the coffee so well.
