This airline is a disappointment. They do a good job at advertising the inflight experience and it is good (but has shortcomings). However, everything else is abysmal. 1) On a flight from LA to Doha - We got delayed by 4 hours - and then asked to board the flight and once we boarded we were told the flight will no longer be non-stop and they will stop in London. We weren’t allowed to disembark the flight. To top that we ended up no knowing how long we will stay in London and not allowed to leave the plane. In the end we waited 5 hours inside the aircraft. All because they had an issue with their refrigerators not working. If you told us in LA I wouldn’t have boarded 2) Customer service is useless. Take ages to respond on phone and never have the privileges to be able to resolve issues - equip your associates with the ability to do so 3) Never have I been on a business/first class where food runs out on any airline - but at Qatar it does including sparkling water and olive oil

My wife and three children were traveling from Canada to LA and onward to the subcontinent when our flight WS1524 was delayed. Despite this, Qatar Airways flight QR0740 slammed the door in her face, abandoning a mother and her kids with no support whatsoever. The counter staff was not only dismissive but outright rude, refusing to accommodate or offer a single viable solution. The complete lack of empathy, professionalism, and responsibility is beyond unacceptable. A family stranded due to circumstances beyond their control, and Qatar Airways’ response? Indifference. Zero accountability. No effort to assist. If this is how they treat passengers in distress, we will NEVER fly with Qatar Airways again. Shameful service!

I paid for a comfort seat on flight QR739 from Doha to Los Angeles — but Qatar Airways changed my seat without notice and gave me a terrible one in the last row. I was injured at the airport due to this unexpected change and had to fly with a broken arm and no support or medication from the airline. They refused to compensate me unless I sign a document that waives all my rights. This is unacceptable for a premium airline. Shame on Qatar Airways. I’m filing complaints with QCAA, IATA, DOT, and others. Never again.

Horrible airline. I booked my son on a flight from Doha to LAX and paid extra so he has a seat with extra leg room. The airline changed the flight for some reason, and in the process dropped the seat assignment. Now he’s stuck on a 16 hour flight wedged in a middle seat, and he’s over 180 tall. Of course they’re now saying nothing that can be done. And this all after a layover of 11 hours at the airport because of the flight change. And about Hamad Int’l airport. A room at the hotel in the airport is &400 per night? And a sushi meal in the airport came out to $76 for one person? What the hell?

I recently flew with Qatar Airways Business Class and was thoroughly impressed. Having previously traveled frequently with Emirates Business Class, I can confidently say that Qatar Airways offers an exceptional experience that sets a new standard. The seating was incredibly comfortable, with ample space and a fully flat bed, making long-haul flights much more enjoyable. The in-flight service was outstanding, with attentive staff and a well-curated menu that surpassed my expectations. The overall experience was more refined and personalized compared to Emirates. Given this positive experience, I now prefer Qatar Airways for its superior service and amenities, and I won’t be looking back to other airlines. Definitely recommend.

I Purchased extra luggage vouchers, then I canceled my trip but they refused to refund the extra luggage vouchers and they said that I can use them in a future trip. So I book a flight again and they refused to utilize the paid for vouchers saying those vouchers are being refunded ( as per thier system), yet I never received a refund on them.I called thier bad customer service department in India multiple of times and emailed them multiple of times and chat on line with them multiple of times and they gave me the run arround and still won't release my extra luggage purchased vouchers for use. Very bad customer service I don't recommend Qatar Airways for flying or customer service. Very strict and unfriendly staff. You can complain to the US department of transportation, aviation services if you have your money stuck with them.

Qatar Airways revolutionized business travel with the advent of QSuites. 1-2-1 layout makes for generous space. Suite door for privacy. The reverse layouts turns the adjacent footwell into a table. The width of the suite allows ample storage. The dine-on-demand, turn down service and the meticulousness with which the crew perform the onboard services is exemplary. The lounges are excellent. Especially Al-Mourjan in Doha is opulent. Make qatar ur no 1 go to airline.

Make sure your bags are not damaged once you receive soon as your arrival airport and if damaged claim then and there only or else so called best airline will take forever to response your online claim and if u contact them they will act very nice and helpful on the phone but soon they will reject your claim without even reviewing photos or details you send and then blame on other team by saying we no longer handle this case so other team did it. Beware of this paid and purchased award winner self claim best airline

The airline itself leaves much to be desired. First the good, and the only good: the flight attendants are fantastic. This was for a business class flight to and from LAX to Doha. They check on you frequently and are fairly prompt when answering the call button. They have a very pleasant demeanor, and are the only silver lining in this dark cloud. As for the airline itself, they are terrible. They play this game with you where they won't issue you a boarding pass for your next flight out of Doha. So when you land, you have to find their customer service lcenter and stand in a long line just to get your boarding pass to the next flight. This makes no sense when you already have already booked your seat months in advance. The reason they do this is because they have already given your seat away to another flier, who has elite status. In other words, they are not honoring your booked seat. The other bad is the quality of food, which is sub standard. For a Middle Eastern airline that is supposedly known for its hospitality on a business class cabin, this is not acceptable. I have had much better food on a business class American Airlines flight, It is safe to assume I will not be flying this airline in the future.

Absolutely a great experience. We had a 16 hour flight and I would fly them again. The flight attendants were attentive to all of the cabin, and the food was excellent. The drinks were great, and when I needed some water for a pill it was a quick response and return. The seats were comfortable even in the row against the bathroom. The seats still reclined. I was impressed. I would absolutely fly them again. Thanks to the crew for a lovely flight!

If you don't like Qatar well your loss and more for us! Lol. But seriously the try business class q suites and I'm sure you will change your mind. Qatar airlines is the BEST in luxury and service airline we have ever had the pleasure of flying. Apart from the top notch service and luxurious q suites, the details that go into every seat and meal are outstanding. The presentation of each meal is like dining at a 5 star restaurant. The cabins are presented with luxurious amenities, as if you just stepped into a classy hotel room. Upon arrival, we were greeted right away with a glass of champagne and given a tour of our q suites. The q suites are amazing, and join together in different seat configurations. We joined our middle q suites into a queen bed configuration. Our best in class flight attendants were Harish Lucy, and Pearl. They gave us their utmost attention and best recommendations for Qatar. They showed us the level of quality that Qatar brings to exceed all other airlines. It was sincerely the only 16 hour flight that I never wanted to end.

I took a (15) hour flight on Qatar Airlines (QAL), to Doha Qatar and ultimately ending up in Dubai. This was my first time on QAL and I must say I was pleasantly surprised given the numerous negative reviews from prior passengers. The stewards did a phenomenal job delivering & serving the various meals (which seemed endless), while offering all the creature comforts making my long flight much more enjoyable. Surprisingly, the food was very tasty with a couple options to choose from. The staff were extremely professional and I would definitely recommend using QAL for any travels abroad. I certainly will. While in Doha, I highly recommend the "Doha Private Night City Tour" and visiting the Dubai mall (world's largest mall), with an ice skating rink.

Qatar is an Excellent airline! We flew the A380 double decker from Mauritius to Dubai and it was Perfect. The First class suites are comfortable, food was delicious and the service attentive. The lounges are pampering and include a spa. I will def go out of my way to fly Qatar again.

The BEST? Coming back from Africa on August 25th, my baggage arrives in LAX covered with an oily substance damaging the bag and it's contents. I have a Qatar agent at baggage claim fill out a report and take pictures. Qatar makes repeated requests for information having me jump through hoops. I have provided my own pictures of the damage. I was asked to have all clothing professionally cleaned even though I informed I had tried cleaning myself. I was asked to provide receipts for all items. And yet, Qatar continues to ask me for something else every 3 weeks. Qatar Airways is not what it used to be, the customer comes last now.

Qatar Airlines issued a ticket for December 15th 12:10PM Tehran to Doha to my father who arrived at 9:30AM and was told that the flight took off at 5:10AM and that he would have to pay 450.00 usd to book another flight. This is straight fraud and highway robbery!! We have a ticket with time and day, he arrived earlier and the flight had already left four hour earlier without a call, email or any kind of notice. He is now being forced to pay 450.00 to secure the next available flight when he didn't do anything wrong. Don't fly with Qatar. You be better off with Turkish or another Arab airline who all take advantage of Iranians.

Horrible experience with ground services in Chenna, India... Harithi was rude, unprofessional, and unaccommodating to elderly passenger. Harithi closed desk before cutoff time and rudely told my wife to call the call center to reschedule at a hefty fee. After a long wait Harithi's "supervisor" Vinodh lied and said he would help secure priotity seating on next flight for my 85 year-old mother-in-law who requires a wheelchai. No cabin wheelchair was provided and the assigned seat was a long walk toward the back of the plane. Air India was far more gracious for domestic flights than Qatar for international.

I was excited to fly Qatar airway after hearing such good things about them. But never again! I have travelled to over 60 countries in my life with different airlines also taking and bringing extra luggage. Which I have paid extra for. But never have I been over charged for a luggage as I did with Qatar airways! It's like a fraud transaction. I was told before the charge that it would be $350 USD for the extra luggage. I agreed and handed my credit card. Not realizing I was charged another amount. I sat on my flight from Madinah airport (Saudi Arabia) to Karachi (Pakistan) and was going through my boarding pass to find the receipt of my extra baggage charging me $1250 USD. This is so ridiculous. I tried disputing the charge to at least reimburse me for it. But I was gave a run around. It's so frustrating, but they clearly won't reimburse me for it. Telling me they charged per kg. Smh how does that make any sense. For 50 kg, $25 USD per kg?? That's insane. $350 to $1250!!! Never again will I fly with them. Very disappointed

I flew LAX to Nairobi via Doha, and Cape Town to LAX also via Doha. The flights were relatively on time. Staff were friendly and food was decent. My only complaint was their use of shuttle buses to load and unload passengers. It takes longer than loading via a gates and is uncomfortable for the passengers, especially in Doha where the shuttle ride was quite a few miles/km I believe. Overall, I was happy with their service and would take their flights again.

I used to fly with Qatar airways for 4 flight to Kazakhstan and they used to be one of the best airlines, but recently they are becoming the worst. Their customer service sucks. It took me to check the bag 3 hours when I arrived 3.5 hours before flight. The huge line of people was waiting behind me after I dropped off the bags They operating 1 or 2 agents with 2 giant lines. I talked to manager Nathan and he said it's the best we can do. They worst and cheap. Low cost future

Hi. I want to share my experience to let people know what's going on inside the airplane. I had a flight to Qatar and the guy front of my seat laid down his seat like no one else is inside the airplane and when I asked the flight attendant to ask the gut to change his seat position, he said I can't tell him. I said can you call some one who is in charge to take care of the situation and he just left like nothing ever happened. It was the worst flight I've ever had.

Worst airline ever! We paid for Business Class "Q Suite" for our honeymoon. They downgraded us on our return from the Maldives with no notice and gave us no refund! We tried to work it out with them, but they basically told us to go "F" ourselves! Stay away from this airline, they will screw you over anytime they can! Do not fly Qatar Airways!

Qatar Airways seems to think it's OK to constantly change your flights multiple times right up to departure without asking or compensating for your inconvenience. The customer service is full of excuses and doesn't appear willing or able to help. Expect to lose your paid upgrade seats if they do this and have your layover times increased from 2 to 13 hours, and their attitude appears to be "oh well, if you don't like it don't fly with us"... if you want to get to your destination on time and without a ton of frustration, you're better off flying with any other airline. The worst!

The worst flight/customer service ever!!!! I don't know how you guys promote yourselves?!!!! My family lost their luggage all 4 of them, and were forced to stay in Lebanon for more than 48 hours. Turns out the luggage never left LA! I went on their website tried to call the airline, they couldn't help me. I tried to connect through WhatsApp from their website, they never updated their new number on their website. I had to google their new phone number. They wouldn't give me any information about the luggage. When the luggage arrived, my family went to the airport. They told my family they didn't know where their bags were until my brother paid them money. The worst by far!!!! Don't be fooled with their advertisements! Even the food on the plane was disgusting. Thankfully my family got the Turkish airline to return home!!! Ewwww I'm disgusted! Such a Disappointment. Also please tell your workers not to ask money they look desperate! I can't believe they were going to steal our bags, and lie about not finding them until we offered money. Disgusted!

If you like regular delays in your scheduled flights and you missing your connection, Qatar Airways is the airline of your choice. Even then, if you like being stranded in Doha airport, with Qatar Airways giving you only a $15 food voucher, for the trouble they caused, again, Qatar Airways is the airline of your choice.

Horrible recent experiences. First, I was charged for a 2nd bag (it's always 2 or more included bags to travel between the US and the Middle East). It was not disclosed on my ticket and I was told that I was only allowed one checked bag and I was charged $100 to check the 2nd bag. Second, I was supposed to have a one-hour layover in Doha for my connecting flight; however, I was put on a later flight without notice which made my layover an 8-hour layover. I complained to the service desk in Doha but they said to write to an email address they provided. After writing back and forth, I was basically told in all correspondence that they were sorry but they would not accommodate in any which way!!! They just dismissed both issues with no explanation! Very disappointed and will not fly it again! I DO NOT recommend this horrible airline.

I've tried booking multiple times on their website will zero results. 1. The site crashes after you've entered all the data to purchase, 2. The fares displayed are not available, 3. The promotions (e.g. 10% off) do not work, 4. "Hold Fare" does not work. How can this airline get top ratings when their systems are so bad? Calling to get a quote is just as annoying... they admit the system does not update and the prices quoted are wrong!!! WTF?

They cancelled my flight due to mechanical issues, rescheduled me for two days later, I asked if I could cancel for a refund as I had found a better flight with a different carrier that got me out with only a few hours delay, so I booked my new flight & when I called for my refund they charged me a $300 person cancellation fee after the ground staff assured me I'd get a full refund, on a flight they cancelled on me Over all very poor customer support

Worst check in front counter , was taking a friend if you have one kilo extra in your luggage, they will charge you or makes you take them out , was not me I stopped using this airline few years back but everyone checking in they treat him that way , I understand the rules but at least be little flexible and treat people with respect ,thank god I stopped using this airline few years back.

My parents got 2 tickets to come to LAX on Thursday. 2 days before their flight, Qatar Airways postpones one of the tickets to another day! When I called to get help so they put them both on the same flight, the customer service guy ("named" Jacob) was very unhelpful and rude. He said if I want to put them back together, I must pay a fee for exchanging their ticket! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this airline.

It's been a very unfortunate and terrible experience flying these guys and now when we have a medical issue in the family they do not want to amend the dates despite giving them all documentation. After giving all documents they say per policy medical issue will be only considered at the terminal. So why did you waste my time asking for documents and do you expect I will bring her to the terminal when my mom can't travel on that day / date? How insensitive can you be to just penalize your priority customers god only knows how you treat non priority or new customers . The guy sahil calls and says you may have got wrong information and when I say I have documents to prove this was official from Qatar he says I am sorry let me take my words back . This is so frustrating and unacceptable !! No understanding or customer centric towards genuine medical issue how do they rate themselves the best airline !!!!!

I recently traveled to Pakistan via Qatar Airways and had the worst experience due to ill manner transit manager has no sk of customer service he's from either India or Pakistan. I booked th flight Qatar airlines from Los Angeles to Karachi it was economical fair on my my way back from Karachi to Los Angeles I had 21 hours layover at Doha airport I appro the transit manager and asked him to please give me complementary hotel because to spend 21 hours at airport is extremely tiring to me who is diabetic and old person with my daughter but he told me he can not grand me complementary hotel because I bought the promotion air fare and it was against the policy of the Qatar Airways. I understand even if it it's promotional air tickets he could have given us complementary hotel just to show the representative of the best airline in the world but not only he didn't give me the hotel but also showed me the worst attitude I chose Qatar airways because of it's reputation but all reputation have been ruined. They must have purchased their rating to be the best airline in the world. I travel a lot I was not impressed by this airline. The plane was supposed to have Q suites, in business class. but it was just a regular old secondhand plane. The plane was old, dirty, and nothing special. The plane had electrical difficulties. We were 14 hours late to our destination. The food was mediocre.

Tried Qatar Airlines for the 1st time after using Emirates for years. Worst experience of my life booking a ticket for my father after all the headache they put him thru. They had no proper accommodations for my father once he reached Dubai; although a wheelchair was requested it took 40 minutes to find a representative to take him to baggage. My father's health got bad after he was in Dubai so I tried to modify the trip. The Qatar website clearly states 0 modifications or trip change charges. When I called I had representatives trying to charge me $4,000 just to change his dates. After about 12 hours of going back and forth with agents a representative finally modified the trip with a "less charge" still $800 on top. Somehow the representative mistakenly canceled the entire itinerary. I was so fed up I bought an Emirates return flight just to bring him back.
