Qianlong Restaurant Doral - Review - Doral - Miami - The Infatuation

"Every neighborhood needs a dependable Chinese restaurant for takeout or a big lunch with the family. For residents of Doral, that place is Qianlong. Around noon, it’s already full of people enjoying a big pile of fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and the chunkiest lumpia we’ve come across. On a bad day, the spare ribs are a little tough and the peking duck is slightly dry, but it’s still solid, affordable, and perfect for a casual weekday meal. Plus, it’s hard to dwell on the little things when you’re sitting underneath a colorful dragon that extends to both ends of the restaurant. It’s clear Qianlong—a Caracas staple before it moved to Miami—is beloved by its community. Just look at the satisfied faces around you and the wall of framed pictures with hyperlocal celebrities." - Mariana Trabanino

Google
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was terrible—when you arrive, no one greets or acknowledges you. The place is small and gets crowded quickly, but the servers seem more focused on getting food orders out than seating and attending to new customers. I sat for over 20 minutes without a menu or even a set table. The food was also a big letdown. The ribs were raw (4 small pieces for $13.50, which is overpriced). The staff even discouraged me from ordering the Mongolian beef, saying the beef was “too hard.” The chicken teriyaki had no flavor at all, and the “Chinese rice” was basically plain rice with barely any chicken, ham, or anything else—yet it cost $17.50. The coffee was horrendous. To make things worse, some items I ordered never even made it to the table. I honestly don’t understand how this restaurant has a 4.8-star rating. The place is mostly filled with Venezuelan customers, and it turns out the restaurant is Venezuelan-owned, so you’re not getting authentic Chinese food as you’d expect. Overall: overpriced, poor service, and tasteless food. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Google
This is the most authentic Chinese food and the closest flavor to the classic Chinese food in Venezuela. I tried and I recommend: Special rice (I added chicken). Sour and sweet chicken (the red one). This sauce is really good! The 2 lumpias, and make sure to eat it with the red sauce. Chop swey with shrimps are fabulous. I ate in the restaurant. It’s casual, not too many people there and simple. The service is excellent, kind and very attentive. Plenty of parking.

For my 1st experience at this restaurant it wasn’t a pleasant experience. I called 1st to place an order for delivery as per their website they offered, then the young lady tells me it’s sometimes.. Advised me to order through uber or dash. So I placed the order to pick up and once I got there I picked up and payed for the food and asked for Plates and sauces and they tell me they have no plates to give me and they put sauce in the bag, I told the man attending me that it’s a few people going to eat I need extra sauces please. So he provided me just 2 more duck sauces and one soy sauce (Stingy), mind you I ordered a L special fried rice, sweet and sour ribs and orange peel chicken. Secondly the food wasn’t fresh at all!! The orange peel chicken was old it looks like they refried it and put sauce, the rice had a weird taste and a weird smell we didn’t even eat it and the ribs weren’t that great either, it’s supposed to be special fried rice and we only found 6 to 7 Shrimps. I spent $59.08 for only for the food to be trashed. Qianlong Chinese Restaurant this was a horrible experience and expensive for food to be trashed. Won’t recommend and won’t come back. 👎🏻

Google
First and last time ordering food from this place. We ordered 1 fried rice mix, 1 beef Lo Mein and a beer, and it was super overpriced. The Lo Mein had 4 small pieces of beef and the rice barely any protein, which I ordered with shrimp and it did not had any. The customer service was unhelpful plus the manager was supposed to contact me and I never hear back from anyone. Check everything before going for a bad experience.

Google
Do not recommend at all. Most mediocre restaurant ive been to in the Doral area. Its obvious the staff doesn’t even care about quality anymore. The presentation, flavor and quantity of the food is terrible considering how much you are paying. The taste of the onion on all dishes was very strong and felt undercooked, which made the experience even less pleasant. And after i pay my check i notice a $4 charge for “open food” that i wasn’t told about. When I asked they told me its cause i requested a side of peanuts for my plate. $4 for a tiny plate of peanuts. I wasn’t even told it was extra when I asked if they could add it! And to top it off they obviously didn’t care when I complained. Its just another day for them on their mediocre establishment. Never coming back, and I recommend no one else does. Worst $60 meal ive had in Miami

Google
I visited the other night with my mom, I got so excited to be there and read their story, so much respect to them to have been in Miami since 2008. I was impressed by the sized of the dishes, we ordered the special rice (the one that’s mixed proteins), sweet and sour chicken, lumpias and two small wonton soups! We both loved the flavor of the dishes, we truly haven’t had chinese food in such a long time it felt very nostalgic. Would absolutely recommend! 💕

Google
First time visiting this restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely brought back memories of the original restaurant in Venezuela. You must try the lumpia, the ribs and house rice. Portions were great and the service was exceptional. If you come, ask for Angie. She was super sweet and attentive and had great recommendations. This restaurant is a must try.

Google
Food is awesome. You need to come and try it. Only the first server, the one that took our order, was not nice actually kind of rude, but the rest were very professional. Glad she never came back, she just took the order. It's not fair to leave a bad review just for 1 person.

Yelp
Needed a late dinner, settled on this place because of close proximity to my hotel. Grabbed Togo on Saturday night. Hot and Sour soup and Beef Lo Mein. My food was ready within 10 minutes. I was helped immediately when I walked through the door. I didn't find any chicken in my soup and it was too starchy and thick. Mushroom tasted like they came from a canned. Flavor wise it wasn't bad, good amount of heat and spice. I was very disappointed with the Lo Mein, it was mostly bean sprouts and onions. The amount of beef was sparse. I ate 1/2 because I was hungry. They were generous with the duck and soy sauce and fortune cookies. Including tip it was $30, which is a lot for subpar food. The restaurant was full, so maybe my choices weren't their best.

Yelp
The Best in Miami, But Not Truly Authentic This review is a complex one. On a strictly local level, this restaurant is as good as it gets in Miami for Chinese food. If you are looking for the top local option, this is likely it. However, if you are seeking authentic, traditional Chinese cuisine, you should manage your expectations. I have yet to find any truly authentic Chinese dining experience across all of Florida, and this restaurant, while excellent for the area, falls into the category of locally adapted fare. The menu and flavor profiles feel geared toward a local palate that prioritizes familiar tastes and heavy seasoning over traditional complexity and nuance. The dishes are good, satisfying, and clearly well-prepared, but they are executed in a style that is distinctly Americanized/Latin-Americanized. It succeeds because it caters perfectly to the local demand, but it fails to deliver the depth and variety expected of true, international Chinese cooking. Go with the understanding that you are getting the best local interpretation, not the real thing. The salt and pepper pork chop was all fat. General chicken was all fat. Lumpia had crumbs (barely) of ground beef. Honey cashew shrimp tasted boiled and the poured miracle whip on it.

Yelp
There's no reason for a party of 3 to have their dishes delivered 20 minutes apart. The idea of a dining experience is for all to eat together, not sit around waiting for plates to come out 20 min at a time. Also; anywhere in the world a shrimp with lobster sauce platter is exactly that. There's no need for an over-saturation of frozen peas and carrots in a plate with six shrimp. The plate should be called peas and carrots soup: the peas and carrots should be a garnish on the plate not the main ingredients on this dish. Seriously disappointed. I have been following this restaurant And its story on instagram and finally decided to come and visit. The shrimp wonton soup is delicious. The honey chicken is good. All the white rice is nearly raw. Service is good. Waitress was pleasant. I'd recommend trying the place but I know I won't return. First impressions are big with me And you'll only fool me once:

Yelp
Our favorite Chinese restaurant ! Food is very good, fresh and the restaurant is clean with an open kitchen and good service. Prices are fair. We ordered Egg Drop Soup and it is made with a delicious broth and lots of egg. The egg rolls were tasty and big with a homemade red sauce. We ordered Sesame chicken and they know how to cook chicken to be crispy outside and juicy inside. The Jasmine tea was also delicious ! We will return.

Yelp
Hey Foodies, I found a spot that allows you to try 3 different types of regional noodles and get this! They're Chinese and Venezuelan. They started as the beloved El Palmar restaurant in Caracas and today we are fortunate to have Qianlong in Doral. After serving tons of notable guests, including presidents, they are ready to serve you. Their tea is fresh and high quality, Their egg rolls are marinated pork and vegetables. Expertly crispy and stuffed. The dumpling soup was simple but delicious. Now do not sleep on this veggie casserole, I'm told they are loved by Buddhist monks and vegetarians. Green bean noodles, expertly steamed veggies a dish I expected to be plain but it was far from it. The Singapore Mai fun was a delicious with a slight curry taste and a delicious slightly sweet roasted pork. The beef lo mein was a perfect egg noodle with a premium flank steak. But the pan fried noodles was the most satisfying dish, the contrast of the ultra crispy noodles with the noodles that start soaking up the delicious sauce. I still think of this dish. But then there's there famous fried rice, people drive miles for this rice and I can tell why. It's freshly made per order. Nothing is prepped. The rice does not skimp on the ham and the size and quality of the shrimp. Definitely one of the best fried rice in south Florida. Their oven roasted duck is perfectly crispy and juicy. Finished off with their beignet with leche condensada. The best ending.

Yelp
I definitely will not recommend the Oven roasted BBQ duck. Overpriced and relation Quality of food price it's not worth it. I think a better option will be any of the chicken dishes

Yelp
Simple yet beautiful decoration of large dragon floating above your heads as you enjoy super fresh foods. We had wontons and spring rolls - delicious. We ordered house special fried rice and sweet sour chicken. So good! The lemon chicken was not what i expected (chicken balls like sweet sour) but rather like a breaded chicken steak. Crispy and juicy with a yummy lemon sauce on the side. Can't wait to come again and try different items! Serive was great, everyone came to check on us.

Joselyn C.

Yelp
It was awful. Special fried rice was very dry and smelled as burn out. The Singapur noodles were do greasy and bad, the honey chicken was way too saggy . Honestly a place that we will not go back neither recommend
google avatar

Olivia C.

Yelp
Charge you 5 dollars for extra shrimp and the rice is ok most people like it but ours was.. Something. ... But if you like dumpling soup then I recommend

Yelp
The food was mediocre at best. Ambiance- the place is small so all the tables are crammed together. The service was terrible. We waited for almost 10 minutes for menus after being seated. In the meantime, the wait staff kept walking past our table. We had to ask for water. I asked for a glass of wine. When it was bright it was not what I asked for and by the color and taste it was clearly a bottle that had gone bad. When I asked for it to be replaced, I was bright the same wine again. As if I would not notice. This place is in a strip mall in Doral. Why are they adding 18% gratuity for party of 2. This encourages poor service. There are many other places to choose from in Doral now. Not with the $.

Jean B.

Yelp
What a shame... great food but with a EXTREMELY POOR service. Waited 15 mins after seated for someone to take my order or drinks. Then 40 more minutes to get the food, and some plates were missing. Not to mention how disorganized was the staff. All the tables around were the same, so not just one off. Definitely not going back!!

Yelp
Great service, food was really good.honey check was great, i suggest asking for extra honey sauce. the rice was a little dry but very good. the ribs were juicy and glazed well good size and meaty. the egg rolls were great and the sweet and sour sauce was different but in a good way great flavor really good with the egg rolls the egg rolls are large. I highly recommend this place. Was very clean inside and good atmosphere seating was comfortable.

Yelp
I had a bad experience last night when ordered dinner and specified "allergic to shrimp"... the fried rice had shrimps on the button part of the container after had eaten the first half... I called the place and the person who took the call said " you only mentioned this at the button of the order". Fortunately I had medications at home and did not require to go to the ER. Unfortunately I am not coming back or order at this place. Should be more careful with this topic, allergic reactions Can be a threat for people's life.

Yelp
Muy malo el peor arroz chino venezolano no tenía sabor y las lumpias con carne (que no son las tradicionales) las costillas bbq con mal olor no es recomendable

Yelp
Should've just saved my money. -took over an hour to deliver. -delivery people were sketch, guy kept switching up saying his gf was on the way, then his mom... -food wasn't great.. didn't eat the $7 soup because it looked bad and I didn't want to get sick before my trip. Just order some pizza or go to subway.

Yelp
Great place for some authentic Chinese food! Egg rolls, fried rice, honey chicken and pepper steak were all top notch and delicious! Highly recommend this place if you like Chinese food! Service is also very good! The restaurant is a bit small though but still a great place overall!

Yelp
Great food!! They have a lot of experience in Chinese food for years. Affordable prices. Flavors are very tasty. I recommend it for Chinese option

Felix V.

Yelp

google avatar

Yelp
Underwhelming to say the least. The Lumpia saved the meal, which is odd for a Chinese restaurant. Lumpia is traditionally Filipino, so that says a lot about the food. Ordered Szechuan Chicken with a request to make it spicier. I don't think they read my ticket order, because it wasn't spicy. Just bland and flavorless. One and done for me. On to the next one.

Henrietta A.

Yelp
3.5-4 stars. Nice, cozy ambiance with friendly service. I liked the music and felt the tables were comfortable. The food was flavorful, but i definitely say some of the portions were small. That being said I feel it's some of the better Chinese food I've ever had.

Ninoska A.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service. Highly recommended, specially for those that miss the taste of Chinese food from their favorite restaurants in Venezuela.
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
I really like and enjoy the food here. It's traditionally well prepared, and the portions are generous. However, the service is average, which is ok for me, but where they really fall short is in their delivery and to-go orders. They have never, and I mean NEVER gotten the order correct for me. They have always missed an item, sometimes two. Yes, I order a lot, but if they write it down, and then follow a simple check list system as they place the items in the bag, perhaps, perhaps they won't neglect to include my egg rolls or ribs, or rice, or dumplings, or soup... argh.

Anthony L.

Yelp
I have been staying in the hotel next door and coming to this restaurant for years. They have amazing food, a relaxing atmosphere, and the service is always fast. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Maybe being Asian our palate is different. This place is an insult to Chinese food. First the Peking duck tasted like the duck swam in salt before it was served. Soon after eating the duck my family and I were drinking water to dr on the saltiness off our palate. The crab Rangoon though tasted okay came out burnt. The leftover duck slices were served as a Mongolian dish which I think should be renamed Salty Duck Mongolian. Having pictures on the wall with celebrities does not make diners return food does. We are not coming back!

Rosana V.

Yelp

Yelp
Qianlong is truly great. I have been here many times and always leave happy and looking forward to the next visit. I recommend coming in a group so you get to try multiple things and share: Yeoung Chow Fried Rice Peking Duck Moo Goo Gain Pain Mongolian Beef Chicken w Broccoli Chop Suey Low Mein Egg Rolls Everything was made fresh and absolutely delicious. We leave full and extremely satisfied. If you have left overs, ask for a box to take home and devour round two! Thank you guys for being so good. Happy eatin!

Yelp
Probably the worst Chinese food in doral. The quality of food is similar to that of frozen food from the grocery store. The orange chicken was raw, cold and had no flavor. The prices are high but the quality of food is extremely low & isn't worth nothing. I don't recommend at all.
google avatar

Yari R.

Yelp
The food is okay, every time I ordered for pick up I have to go back for something. The lady at front is ALWAYS WITH ACTITUD she never gonna tell you the extra charge. Today I ordered and like always I went back because they charge me extra $2 por fried rice which it came with the lunch special and I tell her and she was like well now you now for the next time and I tell her well next time you need to tell the clients when is an extra charge because nobody knows. This is the last time going there. Really bad services.

Yelp
Came here last minute with our friends and their parents. The duck was a huge portion and different forms of preparing it. We also had the special fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken. Portions were generous and filling. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I went back to my childhood having the Chinese food I always knew. This is the continuation of a family restaurant opened in Caracas, Venezuela many many many years ago (half a century as the owner detailed in the Business description). The moment I tried the fried rice, I realized I have been longing it for 15 years without knowing it. And the pork ribs, I felt like 10 again. I contained the tears because I had company :) Every country has its particular way of expressing the cuisine from another country. They "tropicalize" and adapt to the new place and its flavor and ingredients. I am not sure if in the case here they prepare following a specific part of China, or this is the way to to if this was the way things worked in Venezuela, what I know this is the Chinese I love, and it is completely different to the ones I ave had in many other countries. I have the fortune of trying Chifa in Lima's downtown, and restaurants in Chinatown in both NY and London. They are all delicious but, in my opinion, this one is the best! I do have to say I went for the Pekin duck, and I didn't absolutely love it. The soup was missing (due to COVID and I can understand). The crepes and prune sauce were delicious, but the rest of the dish was not as good as I would've liked it to be. The duck was a little bit dry. Nonetheless, I would recommend the restaurant. I know this family puts all the love in every dish, and you won't regret it.

Yelp
We went to this very nice restaurant because we saw a story on it in the front page of the Miami Herald this week. In the story, we read these Chinese-Venezuelans ran the best Chinese restaurant in Caracas, famous for their Peking Duck. So we went with our friends and ordered the duck, plus egg drop soup and shrimp in sweet and sour sauce, with fried rice. We had a very good Sunday lunch, and can recommend this restaurant. It is not a pretentious restaurant but clean and comfortable. The wife of the owner, a doctor, was lending a hand because they were very busy today. Very nice and helpful as were all their other staff. They have a large menu, they do takeout also.

William L.

Yelp
Ordered takeout, restaurant is expensive and they give very small portions with barely seasoned food, I had salt and pepper pork, it was basically just pork with batter and salt. I have had this dish in other authentic Chinese restaurants and the portions are much greater with a mountain of seasonings and pepper. This place was disappointing I can see why there are so many bad reviews recently

David S.

Yelp
if I am actually writing on this it is ONLY for two reasons 1 the food or place was better than expected and deserved a great rating or you DISAPPOINTED to point others need be warned. This is a WARNING DO NOT EAT or try anything this place has to offer from customer service to the food I doubt this place can last another year the way it is. Save your money plenty of great places in the area that are worth eating at. I think the CHEF CANT TASTE his own food because the amount ofSALT that was added made no sense. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt and sometimes I get lucky and find a great spot. Unfortunately this was definitely not the case. 20 minutes away you can experience delicious Chinese and Japanese dishes at 1-800 Lucky. Not much of a difference in price and youR guaranteed amazing results trust me. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY EATING AT THIS PLACE, OR YOU MAY BE THE NEXT ONE WRITING SOMETHING SIMILAR THIS.

Carlos T.

Yelp
Arrived and it was an unpleasantly hot at 87F. We moved tables. Then the server brought us a large soup instead of small one. She apologized but was disturbed because owners would be mad at her so we offered to pay for two small soups which is not what we ordered. On top of that they have no wine menus and brought us the wines they have to the table. The wines were so hot, I asked for ice to pour it in. Aside from that, the food was "ok".

Yelp
I'm so happy that I finally found a place like this! Doral is far from home (I wish they could deliver to Midtown Miami) but now I think every time I want to have great Chinese food, I'll drive there not matter what! Every plate was delicious and well presented. So many details! Flowers made with carrots and ginger. My favorite was the special fried rice which reminded me the one I used to have in Venezuela when I was living there. The Singapur noodles and the spicy chicken were great too but literally everything was amazing. The staff is friendly and the owner was there giving us some recommendations and making us feel welcomed at his restaurant. Thank you! We'll visit again soon!

Baldo P.

Yelp
Shady wait staff. I came to Qianlong after watching a video on Instagram about the food. At a glance it is a typical Chinese restaurant with traditional menu items. The food was good and portions were fair. Waiting staff was very inattentive. Ignoring us while we asked for water and serving with a lack of energy. When we went to pay, to my surprise a 20% tip is automatically added to your check (we were a party of 4 with a $110 bill) when the waitress has me pay, she took my card and then asked if I wanted a receipt. I usually say no but I said yes and I noticed that she charged me an additional 20% tip! Having me pay almost $50 in tip. Are they insane. I had to go up to her and request her to reimburse it and then she charged me again and again auto added the tip. Writing this review so no one gets tricked by this place like I almost was. A shame that there's probably plenty of people who have left this place paying a crazy tip for lousy service. Qianlong will not be seeing me again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Jorge R.

Yelp
First time going to this restaurant and we won't be back. The service was terrible. We sat down and waitresses where walking around but none came to our table to bring us menus. Also it was very hot inside the restaurant. It felt like the air conditioner was not working.

Amelia C.

Yelp
This place use to be amazing... I don't know what happened, but they went crazy raising the prices on everything. The service sucks, not even a cup of water. Last time coming here.

Yelp
Very good Chinese. We are a bit skeptical about ordering Chinese because of all the sodium and msg going on but once every blue moon we go for it. I really liked their food. Didn't love the spring rolls, but over all everything was very tasty and the order came in fast and warm :-) Remember to always tip your delivery drivers because they don't get $ from the delivery fees! Yelp
I trusted my instincts and I was not wrong. Beautiful restaurant. I had beef and broccoli and jasmin tea. Excellent. I will return with friends.

Marc M.

Yelp
Just focusing on the Peking Duck, because we went there after reading an article in the Miami Herald. It's awful. Totally, irremediably awful. Actually, had I not been with company, I would have returned the entire thing and walked out. The duck comes in tiny portions wrapped inside some thick white sheets of something, totally doused in cooked somethings (onions, I think) and some scallions. It is a greasy, generic tasting concoction that is frankly gross. My wife couldn't finish it due to all the grease. They give you two rolls per person and one of the people in the party was so grossed out they could not have the second one. Then they serve the second part (2 wings, 2 thighs) under a mountain of something puffy with oil remnants on top of it. The rest of the meal was a disaster, from the waiter bringing the wrong beers, to us having to stand up and get spoons by ourselves, to the tres leches being served in a plastic container with plastic spoons. As far as I'm concerned, the Miami Herald owes me $135

Chan T.

Yelp
Did an online order. Can't really mess that up right? Or so I thought. They forgot half my order. It was 3 lunch specials. They also forgot the spring rolls that come with each of the lunch specials. Then they had the audacity to tell me that I can either pick up the forgotten food or pick up the refund...on a credit card order. Oh, and the icing on the cake? When they called me, they immediately only spoke Spanish and when I replied with, "I'm sorry I don't speak Spanish," they were confused. I almost forgot I ordered from a Chinese restaurant in the USA.

Yelp
We've been going to this restaurant over 5 yrs and tonight the service and food were horrible! The fried rice and lomein tasted like they were soaked in the soy sauce. There were 2 waiters for a Friday night dinner. The food was brought out but no silverware, just a mess.Wait was long to order, to get refills on water etc. Now they are forcing an 18% gratuity without even announcing it on the menu. It was only 2 of us and I don't feel like I have to be told how much to tip. The quality of food and service has gone down so much. It saddens me because this place was somewhere to share with family, memories with my dad that is no longer with us. I don't think we will be going back anymore.

Yelp
Some friends had mentioned about a Venezuelan/Chinese restaurant in Doral. We decided to give it a try, specially since they serve Lumpias (Venezuelan egg-rolls). This restaurant is supposed to be inspired or be like a famous Chinese Restaurant in Caracas. But this is far from it. If I could give it negative stars, I would. How does anyone rate this place high, or that the food is great is beyond me. The entire experience in one word was HORRIBLE. Starting with the service. The waitress first gets our order for fried wontons wrong, asked for pork, and she served us shrimp. We took it in stride, ate the shrimp, no biggie. As we are finishing the appetizers, she serves my daughter's food first since we ordered it first. But she also served the white rice that comes with our meals. More on that later. We finish with the appetizers which were nothing to write home about. The fried wontons were minute and tasteless. The sweet and sour sauce was neither sweet, not sour. The famed "lumpias" were insipid for starters. The ground meat was minimal. The BBQ ribs were very tough. As we are finishing our appetizers, we see our food ready to be picked up, but our waitress nowhere in site. 5-10 mins pass by and finally she decides to make an appearance. Of course by now, our food is cold. We ask her to take it back. And seems the cook did not appreciate as they were arguing about it. Food comes back, but of course our white rice now is cold. Again ask her to take it back. Our drinks were served, but never were we asked if we needed more. If we wanted water or anything the rest of the meal. Odd really given that there are no refills, you would want to monetize it. But not surprising as service as sparse to say the least. The main course similar to the appetizers are nothing to write home. My local take out Chinese beats it hands down and half the cost. We did not even bother with desert, given the experience so far. Now to get our check, another eternity. The waitress went missing in action once again. As she is bringing the bill with the traditional Fortune cookies, she drops one cookie. Instead of her throwing the Fortune cookie she dropped away, she picks it up and continues toward our table to give it to us!!! REALLY!!!! My wife flat out said NO, I do not want that. The waitress instead of offering another one, she simply turned around and went on her way. Finally we are paying. Now to our surprise there is a 4 percent SURCHARGE on the bill for using a credit card. Or as they put it there is a 4 percent discount for paying cash reflected on the price in the menu. Now, I do not mind if you are up front about it. It is a convenience to pay with plastic. But not to say anything about it until you are being charged is wrong. When we asked the waitress about it, she goes, oh there is a sign in the front door. But there is not a sign on the door. The sign is at the cashier, but you cannot see it unless you go up to the cashier which of course you do not do. Overall a bad experience from beginning to end. Needless to say our first and last time going there.
