The two chefs behind QQ Asian Kitchen, from Taiwan and Bali, are very mindful of texture in the food they produce at this Asian-fusion spot near Karlovo Náměsti (or Charles Square) in New Town. The menu whirls around Asia, stopping in Malaysia for some slow-cooked beef rendang, Taiwan for some braised pork belly, China for some crispy duck with mushu pancakes, and even a layover in New Orleans for a fried oyster po’bao. I absolutely love QQ Kitchen. For me, it’s one of the best Asian restaurants in all of Prague. In the past we used to come here quite often – usually lunch at Asian Temple and dinner at QQ. Lately we don’t visit Prague as frequently, so I was especially happy about my visit yesterday. I made a reservation and from the moment I arrived the service was excellent. The waiter was extremely friendly and the drinks arrived very quickly. I ordered several dishes and everything was delicious. The lobster in particular was outstanding – perfectly prepared and incredibly tender. And of course the highlight at the end: my favorite dessert for many years – sticky rice with mango ice cream. I simply love this dish. Absolutely amazing. Before leaving I also had a nice little chat with Chef Nyoman. A very kind and charismatic chef. We get along well and I wish him all the best – and maybe a little less work in the future, my friend. Yes, it’s on the expensive side – I spent almost 2,500 CZK just for myself – but for such a wonderful evening it was absolutely worth it.

This restaurant has a Michelin recommendation so that was the reason for us to come and try the food. We were welcomed politely by the staff, they were quick and explained well the dishes. We had beef with coconut (Asian style) and laksa dry dish with prawns. The portions were good but keep in mind that the rice is ordered separately. Both dishes were good, but what both dishes were missing was the flavor umami, that would bring the flavor to be more tasty, closer to that proper original Asian taste and less blend. For example I had many different laksa soups and they are never made with any tomato, this one had a tomato and not so much coconut so it was more like European and less Asian flavor. For the appetizer we had soft shell crab taco and tuna tartar. Also the same thing, both dishes were good and tasty and the ingredients were fresh. Overall, too pricy for the flavor of the meals.

Amazing food, the crab taco is a very delightful experience. Main dishes were good but not as unique as the starters, however, the portions were a bit bigger than expected. The atmosphere is very cozy but it has a double entrance setting that causes a bit of confusion when new guests arrive, but overall a great experience. Great choice for Asian cousine!

If you visit Prague and are looking for something truly special, make sure to book a table at QQ Asian Cuisine—and if you can, get a spot facing the open kitchen. Watching the talented crew at work is part of the magic here. The Chef, originally from Bali, brings authentic Indonesian flair to every dish, creating food that’s both elegant and soulful. Some recipes even come straight from his family’s secret collection—like the incredible sea salt sponge cake, which was simply unforgettable. I opted for the chef’s menu with wine pairing, and although pairing wine with Asian cuisine is always a challenge, the sommelier did an outstanding job. The selections elevated each course beautifully. During my visit, the Chef’s wife was tasting and selecting new wines to add to the list—an exciting mix of local Czech and international bottles that promises even more depth for future guests. If you enjoy exploring unique flavors and authentic craftsmanship, QQ Asian Cuisine is a must-visit. In my opinion, it’s worthy of a Bib Gourmand—a perfect balance between creativity, quality, and heart. Thanks!

During our recent trip to Prague, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Asian Kitchen Restaurant, and what a fantastic experience it was! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We started with a variety of starters—Tuna Tataki, Salt and Pepper Squid, Grilled Chicken Satay, and Crab Mushu Taco. Every single dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The freshness and balance of flavors were impressive. For the mains, we enjoyed an equally delightful selection: Sirloin Steak with Oxtail Reduction, Laksa Prawns, Braised Pork Belly, and Crispy Sesame Chicken, along with sides of Coconut Rice and Steamed Rice. Each dish was clearly made with care, skill, and attention to detail. Every bite was a highlight. We paired our meal with some refreshing Czech beer, which complemented the bold, vibrant dishes perfectly. To top it all off, the service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. It truly elevated the whole dining experience. Asian Kitchen is an absolute gem, and we’ll definitely be returning on our next visit to Prague. A great find that we’d highly recommend to anyone looking for top-quality Asian cuisine in the city.

QQ Asian Kitchen is located inside Mosaic House Design Hotel. The restaurant was listed in the Michelin guide in previous years so we gave it a try. We decided to have the 4 course chefs tasting menu. The meat/chicken is not halal but chef accommodated our request to have protein. Server: Leah was brilliant. So enthusiastic and her knowledge of the dishes was superb. Starters: - Tuna tatami with yuzu and onion. This was sensational and we knew the culinary journey was going to be good! - Miso cured salmon with dashi stock and spinach. This was delicious. - Salt and pepper baby squid with sweet chilli sauce. Very flavourful. - Soft shell crab mushu taco. Never had tacos like this and it was inspiring! Main: - Octopus with sweetcorn sambar. Octopus was tender and soft against the sweetcorn sambar. Very flavourful and delicious to eat with Jasmine rice. - Dry laksa prawns with pineapple and sambal matah. This was a taste explosion, fantastic! Dessert: - Chocolate chip cookie sandwich (with ice cream, matcha cream and fruit). Fabulous way to end our tasting menu with this dessert. The restaurant was extremely busy but you could still hear each other speak. If you are a foodie then the price of the meal was fantastic for the quality, creativity and service. It was the best meal we've ever had and we still talk about it!

I had a friend recommend this place, and it was excellent! We got the shumai and salt and pepper baby squid with sweet chili sauce for appetizers and the Taiwanese braised pork belly and dry laksa prawns with pineapple and sambal matah as entrees. We also got some coconut rice as a side. My husband and I split the appetizers with one other person, and the two entrees and side between me and my husband. It was enough food for us. Everything was superb. It was all very unique flavors. The pork belly was nice and tender, and the shrimp had such a good sauce. I would highly recommend coming here!
