Fantastic discovery of jerk chicken for the Frenchy that I am! Staff is nice, food is great, sauce is spicy, but not too spicy, and the dish comes with lots of vegetables options (I chose sweet potatoes + rice & beans). There are also other options than chicken like fish, but I haven’t tried it. Overall a small order is really a lot of food, that may last 2 standard meals (or 3 small ones) depending on your appetite (eating the whole thing in one time is also possible 😋) It has inspired me to try it at home, since jerk chicken is unfortunately not really a thing in France (at least not yet? 😉)

Surprised at how large the portion was. The oxtails were a bit tough. The rice and peas had a nice cook to them, but there was no spice or flavor. Staff working were nice and food was made quickly. You need cash but an atm is there.

Everything I have ever gotten here is absolutely delicious! The jerk chicken, curry goat, the sides, any choice you make you just can’t really go wrong. This is one of the few places that gives you huge portions while still keeping their prices reasonable!

There was a ROACH baked into my Baked Mac-N-Cheese. I will never eat there again. They are unsanitary and do not care to check the food. And I have the proof I recieved a full refund by doordash and extra credit. This is not a joke. Thank God I checked my food because I almost fed this to my 3yr old.

I ordered the Oxtails platter w/rice & cabbage. It was a good portion of food for the price. The rice had a good cook, not grainy or undercooked, it actually tastes like it was cooked in butter. The cabbage was bland with no flavor. The cabbage was cooked good, not undercooked or overcooked. The Oxtails had a good cook on them not tough, and not falling off the bone but a good pull on them. Nothing unique about the flavor profile on the meat, they honestly tasted bland. I was looking for huge flavor from them, but my expectations was set too high!! The food did not have a bad taste, it just lacked major flavor in my opinion. I wanted some good jamaican food while in west. I will stick with Ron's and Island Taste.

I found this restaurant through Google reviews. Boy! It lives its reputation!! I had curry goat, and I ordered jerk chicken and oxtail for my family. They loved it. I had to come back to buy curry chicken, curry goat, and chicken foot soup to bring back to Rochester. I couldn't wait until Rochester to eat chicken foot soup. I thought I was dead because I found myself in heaven. I haven't tasted this good soup for decades! With two visits, I had a fantastic customer service. I wasn't disappointed at all. I'm so mad at myself for not taking pictures of food. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This has to be the best Jamaican restaurant in Philly right now before it used to be the flavor spot on board and windrum.but since Brad left the flavor spot, the food isn’t good, but yeah, this is the new top spot in Philly for good food those Parmesan shrimp honey is a problem the rice and peas jerk chicken fried chicken Really good food really fresh. The girls are nice they greet you and not rude and nasty and I like that so I will be coming back. Thank you.

This place is so good. Traditional Jamaican / island flavors and dishes of a variety of curries and jerk. Used to live in the islands and miss this kind of food. All platters come with 2 sides. The rice and peas and steamed cabbage are sooo good you’ll be speechless the first few bites. The Mac n cheese is legit good. You can only get that as a separate side but it’s worth it. If you go there for the first time there are two locations right next to each other. The left side has mostly seafood dishes, but the lines are always at the place on the right hand side, if you want the jerk or curry or the good sides, go to that door. When you get to the counter, know what you want in advance or the people behind you will understandably be upset. They take card or cash and the people behind the counter are really nice and helpful. Tip: ask for the curry sauce for your rice or to dip your chicken in, its free, comes on the side, it’s spicy but very good! Enjoy!
