The 21 Best Bars in Logan Square - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Grabbing a seat at Quality Time in Logan Square feels like being an extra on the set for That '70s Show, thanks to the rustic wooden interior and vintage leather seating. The front area is fairly small, but they also have a back room with more booths and a spot for weekend DJ sets. But even at its busiest, it never feels like a club—it’s still great for a low-key hang. Their solid drink menu includes originals like the Dragonfruit Enzoni with dry gin and green grape and the Smoked Venom with cilantro. Plus, they also have tamales from the Tamale Guy, and we can’t think of a more ideal 12am snack." - sarah freeman, john ringor

The Chicago Bar Hit List: Where To Drink Right Now

"Walking into Quality Time in Logan Square is like wandering onto a set for That 70’s Show, thanks to the rustic wooden interior and vintage leather seating. The front area is fairly small, but they also have an additional back area with extra booths perfect for when it starts to get crowded, or during weekend DJ sets. But even at its busiest, it doesn’t feel like a nightclub—it’s still a great place for a low-key hang. Their solid drink menu includes originals like the Back To Life, a sweet and spicy rum-based drink with honey and chile. And if you need a second wind, there’s no better choice than their frozen Red Bull-infused Vegas bomb. They also have tamales from the Tamale Guy, and we can’t think of a more ideal 12am snack." - john ringor, adrian kane

Google
This place has a genuinely cool atmosphere. It's not trying too hard to be anything it's not. Think comfortable and laid-back, but still with a distinct personality. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually relax and have a conversation without yelling, which is a rare find these days. The decor strikes a nice balance between cozy and cool, leaning into a slightly vintage aesthetic that feels authentic. They've got a solid drink program here. You'll find the usual bar staples, but also some well-crafted cocktails that are both interesting and reasonably priced. The bartenders know what they're doing, turning out consistently good drinks. Whether you're in the mood for a classic or something a bit more adventurous, you won't be disappointed. Quality Time lives up to its name. It’s an ideal spot for a casual get-together with friends or a low-key date. The unpretentious setting, combined with good drinks and a comfortable noise level, makes it a reliable choice in Logan Square. It’s the kind of neighborhood bar you’ll want to revisit.

First time here 12-12-2025. Very nice spot for after work socializing. Stiff drinks, low lights, nice looking ladies, would definitely recommend to my fellow bachelors. Will return very soon. Place is very narrow, bathrooms smelled like stale urine and desperation. Missed out on the chicken tamales but I hear they are pretty good

Google
Cute, retro-style bar with a nice little patio area. I thought their cocktails were creative and fresh, enjoyed the frozen Baja chiller which was included in the happy hour and the dragonfruit enzoni!

Google
I think this is such a cute place. The vibes are a casual date night or a causal night with friends. The bartender was friendly and very attentive! The Las Vegas Bomb frozen drink… yummmmm! I try to get frozen drinks from every bar I go to if they have that option… this one, so good! Would definitely come back for a chill night!

Google
Quick little bar with fun drinks and plenty of table space! The vibe in here is fun and you can still have a good conversation with friends. Drinks prices are pretty on par with local prices, and there are plenty of fun options

Tom Z.

Google
$62 for 4 drinks I found this bar extremely endearing overall. The decor is like a moody 70’s basement with a lot of wood and a great funky “Quality Time” decal on the bar mirror. There is a lot of booth seating which is wonderful and makes for a cozy expereince. The drinks we got were solid; the menu seems to strike a balance in having interesting flavors and spirits but still approachable with some classics, like their old fashioned (which was good). Bartender was friendly as well. It feels like a very thoughtful neighborhood spot with character, but not in the typical dive-y way a lot of bars often are. I will definitely be back!

Google
Charming experience at this bar! I'm new to the city and looking for local spots for a drink and music. Saturday nights are busy and seating is limited, so be sure to arrive early. Great spot for a reasonably priced drink and great music!

Google
Came here with a pretty large group and we had an amazing time. The music was great, the bartenders were friendly, the drinks were strong, and they even serve pretty delicious tamales!! 10/10 Chicago bar.

Yelp
A few rounds full of laughs, arguments, and liquor. What a fun place to spend a saturday afternoon. Super friendly staff having a good time together while we got--maybe too--rowdy at a booth. A good mix of classics as well as some fun cocktails(a frozen baja blast?!?!) In any case, a decent old fashioned, a wonderful espresso tini, and a fun tiki drink all were savored. I love a place with balance. Like many chi bars it has the "dive bar design" where it isn't a dive bar, but still feels like one. Super fun spot to hang, chat and booze!
google avatar

Yelp
Guys... this is the classic "early stage" 5 star bar on Yelp. It's a very cool looking bar and they have great taste in music... but after that it all falls apart. It's like a $2M mansion that someone has filled with cheap IKEA furniture. After multiple visits, I feel confident saying that it's not a fluke that we've had extraordinarily lukewarm experiences with the staff. The drinks are mid and the bartenders act annoyed when you try and order a drink. This is a neighborhood bar. Stop acting so annoyed that a local wants to order an old fashioned at 9 PM on a Friday. Hard pass.

Yelp
I love a good cozy cocktail bar! Highly recommend eating someplace first and hanging out for drinks for later. Their espresso martini is one of the best I've had this year. Their setup for the holidays is really cute and if you're on lucky, their booths are a good place to sit and catch up w friends!

Yelp
We live literally down the street from here and finally just tried it the other week. Kicking myself now that it took so long. They have a nice side walk patio and some large booths when you walk in and another room off in the back with additional seating. Their drink menu isn't extensive but the ones that we ordered were outstanding. They have a rotating seasonal frozen drink. When we went in, it was a Baja blast inspired drink! So damn good. We also got this melon drink that was so damn good. Cool little neighborhood spot to come on a date or in small groups.

Yelp
Great late night bar! Tried the espresso martini which didn't disappoint. Service is excellent. Good vibes and good people. Awesome DJ!

Yelp
Delicious tamales! Incredible service! Good drinks! Nice staff! I forgot my scarf, I came in and picked it up the bartender returned it to me. Thank you! Also they have good music..
google avatar

Yelp
Love the atmosphere, it's like a cozy vintage cabin. The owner is really nice too, we ran into him on the street. Definitely a chill place for a date, and feels good supporting a local business. Fun cocktails too.

Yelp
I had an amazing night at Quality Time! They recently hosted a food pop-up with Dhuaan BBQ and the food was absolutely delicious--flavorful, fresh, and perfectly executed. We sat in the extra seating area in the back room near the window, which did feel a little cold and did lack lighting, so it was a little darker compared to the other tables, but overall the bar itself has such a cozy, nostalgic vibe with really unique decor and awesome music. The ambience was lively and the service was friendly. Stop in for great drinks, great food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Quality Time Logan Square Cost: $$ Vibe: hip midwestern uncle who hunts and sometimes smokes weed To get: Golden remedy At first glance Quality Time feels like another dressed up dive bar- typical of the upscale hipster neighborhood. But it stands out in the quality of its cocktails, DJ sets, and attraction of all levels of "have your life together". While you should come for the late night music, If you're looking to talk/hear my recommendation is to go early evening- both for the amazing happy hour and also so you can appreciate the taxidermy and talk to your date about which deer reminds you of your therapist.
google avatar

Angie E.

Yelp
This spot is super cute. Parking was easy, we just found off-street parking less than half a block away. The drinks were outstanding and innovative. The bartender was attentive and a little aloof, but not rude or condescending. Would definitely go back to this place in a heartbeat.
google avatar

Leilani L.

Yelp
Husband wanted to celebrate his promotion a few days ago, so we went here for a nightcap. Definitely like the vibe and decor of this place. Also had a friendly bartender who made us great drinks. Definitely will come back!
google avatar

Kianoosh K.

Yelp
This place has one of the happiest bartenders ever. He's consistently in a good mood. One of the only places that I know that carry Zubrowka vodka (try it). Good drinks in general and you might get lucky wand have a good DJ or just enjoy the bartenders choice of music. It's a cozy slightly dark neighborhood bar. The best kind.
google avatar

Kate S.

Yelp
Fun happy hour spot! Has definitely been too crowded a few times to even try to go in if we didn't get there before 530, but if you're early in and can get a good spot, there are great deals and even better vibes to be had.
google avatar

Jenna C.

Yelp
Quality Time definitely has laidback neighborhood bar vibes but good cocktails and cool decor. It was semi busy on a Sunday evening but we were able to snag a small table - only one person working the entire bar so we bellied up to order drinks. My friend got the Dragonfruit Enzoni, which was nice and refreshing, while I tried the Fra-gee-lay, must be Italian! I was surprised to find my cocktail was on tap, while other cocktails appeared to be hand crafted. Definitely makes for quicker service, and more affordable ($12) than other cocktail spots in the city. We were headed to dinner nearby and decided to try this spot, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to frequent this bar. Solid choice if you're in the area though - 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Yelp
TLDR; Sexiest, intimate vintage bar with classic cocktails for the perfect date night Drinks: We had Quality Old Fashioned & Rosita's Margarita (forgot to take pics bc we were talking sm) but the drinks initially look small and unassuming in cute glassware. But they are strong and delicious. SPECIFICALLY for Rosita's Margarita. I love when a Margarita is strong but still sweet enough for me to enjoy. Ambiance: this is the perfect, sexy place for an intimate/moderately quiet date night/hangout where you can be immersed in your conversation (MIND YOU, we went on a very rainy Wednesday night) It just reminded me of a speakeasy because of the red lighting and vintage aesthetic, but you don't have to look around to hard find this location Service: we had to go up to the bar for ordering drinks which was totally okay! Also if you ask the bartender fora few olives, they give you BLUE CHEESE OLIVES
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
Wow, I love it here. Great ambiance and nice seating options. It wasn't too loud which I also really liked. The red lighting is def a vibe. Worth a visit!

Yelp
Amazing little bar in a more residential part of Chicago. I'm so happy we decided to visit. The bar is right up my alley when it comes to the overall aesthetic, it has a lovely vintage feel - you almost feel like you're in someone's home or basement in Brooklyn. The servers were friendly and you could tell they truly enjoy working there. Between the four of us, we enjoyed the Undercover Lover, Rachel Goes to Saturn, What Happens in Vegas, and a Quality Mezcal-Roni - then a round of their frozen shots (so yummy). The mixologist are very good at what they do here. The prices here were the best overall during my entire time in Chicago but again we were in an area away from downtown. This is definitely a local bar, but indeed a gem! If you love cocktails and the bar hopping scene, make your way here.

Yelp
what a lovely find! i bumped into this spot on a long 10-mile walk around the city running errands here and there and the look from the outside drew my eye. glad i added it to the map to check it out. went with my bf before dinner at Noodlebird down the street. a lovely cozy and welcoming neighbourhood bar with 70s vibe and fun cocktails. with a very nice and personable bartender. playing some killer tunes as well. wish i lived closer to make this my bar of choice, but even so, i'll definitely be coming back more often now that i know.
google avatar

Rachel O.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere... feels like a 70s show and is terrific! Enjoyed a drink not on the menu, but they still had all the ingredients. Enjoyed great company and lovely cocktails!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Came on a Monday night. As I was walking around the neighborhood passed a good amount of bars that happened to be closed on Monday. Got the iced grasshopper, miller high life, last word and an Old Fashioned. Really appreciate the way the bar is designed and layed out. Feels comfortable. Shot of Fernet Branca too.
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
Super cool low key bar in Logan Square. The Dirty Chai Martini is a perfect night cap to an evening out in the neighborhood!
google avatar

Ben L.

Yelp
A wonderful place to grab a drink and catch up with a friend. I went here on a Friday night. The place was quite full, but I was able to find a table relatively quickly. The music was good and the ambiance was excellent. Dark lighting with a lot of wood everywhere. There was also some cool taxidermy on the walls that gave it a warm vibe. The bartenders here were great. They handled service quickly even with a packed bar. I was able to get in and out from the bar in under 5 minutes every time I needed a new drink. They offer a wide range of choices if you're into cocktails, shots, or beer. Nothing was overpriced and if you are into the Logan Square standards like PBR, Fernet, Malort, etc., you're going to be quite happy with the deals they have. Also, the general service was on-point with cleaning up drinks and checking in. Overall, this is a rock solid spot if you want an evening out with friends. It's quite lively, so don't expect it to be a quiet. However, you can definitely have good conversation and "quality time" with someone.

Yelp
So very excited for Quality Time to open in the neighborhood. I'll start you off on the ambiance: dim lit, dj booth, vintage decor, taxidermy, and a wooden veneered bar, patio(s). Take your grandpa's 70's basement bar, but make it sexy, fun, and cool. Next up, you have the menu. Tamale guy and bar treats for now on the food end. But let's talk what we are all here for, cocktails! Eclectic list, and they also have your basics covered. My absolute favorite cocktail which was a pleasant rum baby called the Back to Life. The black Manhattan was wonderful as well. But, like I said, an eclectic selection: they have a frozen vegas bomb and a long island for those that need to get their whistles wet. Beer on draft? All local. Support your neighbors. Lastly, you have a show stopping team here you've seen sling drinks at some of your favorite places in the past. You have some talented educated people behind that bar, and don't shy away from enjoying their company-they're the best in the biz. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. TLDR; Quality Time was named appropriately.
google avatar

E N.

Yelp
The ambience of this place is so cozy, but you do need to get there early to have a spot. The service was average. You have to go to the bar to order your drink, but nothing out of the ordinary. It is a classic neighborhood bar to chill at and, that is perfect.
google avatar

Kayla W.

Yelp
I had such good quality time at Quality Time bringing my friend's birthday in. This bar was recommended on Tiktok. It reminded me of chilling in a grandparents basement with it's interesting decor. Definitely was talking about the deers on the wall for a lot of the night. Lol The music was just right and had me swaying my hips. You also get a thrill of the hunt by staking out near some booths so you and your friends can sit. Fortunately, some of my party got there at 9pm and it was packed but was able to get a few seats in the second part of the bar. A few of us who got there later stood chatting until some people who were also sitting there who weren't apart of the party left. All the drinks I had were good. I had the flannel shirt and their frozen Vegas bomb. My boyfriend ordered this one particular drink 3x that night. I think it's rooster rosa..it reminded us of Tahitian treat: fruit punch. We had a great night. It made a good spot to meet up with friends before going out clubbing.
google avatar

Madison S.

Yelp
This is a great spot - awesome cocktail menu and tons of other options. Super cute spot with a DJ that comes in the evening as well
google avatar

Yvonne I.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the 70s vibes at Quality Time. My husband and I stopped by after 9pm on a Friday evening and enjoyed their cocktails. I liked the "Quality Black Manhattan" and "Back to Life" cocktails the most. I also tried the "What Happens in Vegas" cocktail. This frozen cocktail was good, but not as memorable as the other 2 I tried. "What Happens in Vegas" is very approachable/safe though. Our bartender was nice and helpful. I definitely see myself stopping back here again in the future.
google avatar

Aimee S.

Yelp
A great vibe with good drinks and chill music. A great place to go to have a drink and catch up with a friend, which seems to be the intention. The bartenders were nice and served us from the happy hour on the dot. Overall had a nice time and would return!
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Solid cocktail bar! M-F happy hour until 7pm!! Fantastic Old Fashioned's on that HH list.
google avatar

Kristin B.

Yelp
So glad this spot is walking distance from home! I love the ambiance and aesthetic inside, the tiki-influenced cocktails (and their price tag of only $11- truly unheard of in Chicago!), and the chill patio outside (bar service only though- so belly up and then bring your drink outside). This is a great spot for an after dinner drink, or, when the weather is warm enough to sit on side, a place that's chill enough to have a conversation to catch up with friends.
google avatar

Greg H.

Yelp
It was wicked busy when we went in on a Saturday night, but my friends and I were able to find a booth, talk and have some great drinks. The place was nice, clean and had a sweet aesthetic. Would love to visit again.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
The new bar Chicago needed. Feels like it's been there for years. Fun drinks, cool 70s energy, great bartenders. Try the frozen Vegas Bomb. Trust me.
google avatar

Ale P.

Yelp
Went here for the first time and had a great experience. Staff were nice and just went here for drinks not many food options but drinks were good. I wish there were some bad food choices but good music and welcoming local bar.
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
Perfect for pregaming. Great vibe, lovely drinks. The frozen grasshoppers were divine and the glassware was fun.

Russell A.

Yelp
Rude and dismissive. My partner forgot her id last night, and instead of a "sorry we require ids" or "its just our policy" the bartender TOSSED my credit card onto the floor (bounced off my chest) and turned heel. youve got a lot to learn about being a neighborhood bar. ive lived in this hood for 10+ years, and im telling everyone i know on the block to avoid you. i was on the hunt for a new summer haunt as so many have closed and changed ownership since the demic. "quality time" have effectively been scratched from that list. shame, i love tropical cocktails and vintage vibes. good luck.
google avatar

Marty G.

Yelp
this place is weird to me: consistently poor service, crap atmosphere and ambiance, and the food is also of poor quality. avoid at all costs.

Simon S.

Yelp
Great new bar in the Logan square area. It definitely is a bit of a different vibe than most of the surrounding area but it's changing over time. Came in around 730 on a Friday night to the bar absolutely packed. We lingered for a while and eventually snagged 2 seats at the bar. There is a small bar, maybe 10 booths and then a small standing bar ledge in the back room. Limited cocktail and beer menu, but the house cocktails are all delicious and fair priced at $11. The portions are very small, however. Like 3-4 ounce cocktails and even the "shots" were a third of the size of a normal shot. The frozen vegas bomb is a fun drink but my favorite was the rooster Rita (tequila based). Overall, fun vibe and great for a date or some casual drinks with friends. There is no food PSA
google avatar

Aubry E.

Yelp
I'm excited to frequent this bar. Great vintage style, unique cocktails and amazing atmosphere. Great date night spot!

Charlie K.

Yelp
Cool spot. Good drinks, friendly service and great atmosphere. They've done a great job of creating their own cocktails and vibe without being pretentious. Price is very fair for their drinks too, which has sadly become harder to find these days.

Nora D.

Yelp
Great addition to the neighborhood. Great atmosphere- fun vibe - Andre is wonderful. If you are looking for a relaxed environment with good drinks and very nice staff - stop in.

Eleanor B.

Yelp
QT is fucking sick bro no cap. On god on my mama best bar in Chicago. Get a frozen Vegas bomb if you're cool fr fr fr. Sheeeeesh.

Estar S.

Yelp
Great new addition in Logan Square! A modern twist on a vintage cocktail bar with unique design. Small, intimate and great music. Off Diversey on a beautiful neighborhood street. 5 stars!

Jake R.

Yelp
if you took superbad's modern spin on 70s vibes and made it a bar, you'd get quality time
