A flagship downtown spot from the team behind Spring House, QB leans into scratch-made comfort—house breads, meatballs, and rustic sauces—paired with a deep wine list. It’s often recommended by local tourism sources for relaxed Italian dining and drinks.

I went there for my Birthday. A friend of mine had recommended me this place and I'm so glad I went, the food was phenomenal it passed my expectations. The food felt fresh and my family love d it. The service is 10 out of 10, I forgot his name but he was very polite and he was able to go over every question I had about a dish. I will definitely come back to this place!

Google
I've given this place a few tries. The first visit was great—good ambiance, service, and food. The second time was just okay. My most recent visit, however, was disappointing. I went solo and sat at the bar. The hostess was friendly, but that was the only moment of hospitality I experienced. After sitting for several minutes, the bartender wordlessly dropped the menus in front of me while continuing a lengthy conversation with a visibly intoxicated patron a few seats down. Throughout my visit, the bartender seemed entirely focused on a group of regulars, leaving my half-made drink sitting for over five minutes—twice. I felt invisible, sitting in the middle of the bar, completely ignored. The eggplant parmesan was beautifully cooked and presented, but it lacked seasoning and was very bland. Even extra sauce didn’t help much, and I left most of it uneaten. When someone dropped off the marinara, they didn’t acknowledge me at all. No talking, not looking at me, just another oddly cold interaction. I can see the charm and potential in this place, and the bartender is clearly charismatic with the regulars. But for me, it felt unwelcoming and exclusive. As someone who enjoys meeting new people and making conversation, I was surprised by how out of place I felt. We likely won’t be back anytime soon—unless our friends that frequent QB twist our arm.

Fantastic service and incredible food. Wasn't too loud either. We ordered a bunch of stuff and all the appetizers and desserts were wonderful! Everybody also loved their entrees.

Seriously amazing meal right downtown! Some of the best Italian we've ever had! Service and selection was superb and fairly priced! We will definitely be back!

Google
We are in town visiting family and opted to try Quanto Basta. Our server, Lynette, was exceptional, both with service and recommendations. I had the Shrimp Scampi Risotto, and my wife had the Chicken Picata. Both dishes were delectable and well presented. The atmosphere is relaxing, and it is easy to carry on a conservation. I highly recommend everyone to try this restaurant.

Google
The atmosphere is really nice and chill. I tried a few things from the menu and the wait was not long at all. Once the food arrived I was excited because it all looked GREAT....I tasted it and was almost immediately disappointed. The more the I ate the more disappointed I got. I thought maybe I was coming down with a cold or something that threw my taste buds off but I was indeed fine it was the un-barely-seasoned food. I was really hoping this place would knock it out the park but it left me desiring more. It's not all bad though, the pizza was good and I would recommend for sure.

Google
(3.5 stars) Classier and pricier than a neighborhood red sauce joint but more modestly priced than Cibo, Quanto Basta is a solid option that unfortunately falls into the "looks better than it is" category. The downtown location is convenient, and the restaurant offers an attractive, intimate space. However, the acoustics and table placement are such that it can get loud when it's near capacity. As Quanto Basta doesn't do reservations, your best bet is to arrive early. The menu here is short but well-rounded. It features salads, antipasti/appetizers, pasta dishes, entrees, and pizzas. Your classics (caprese, spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parm, etc.) are accounted for, but you can also opt for the less expected such as parmesan and pork belly crab dip or short ribs with gnocchi, charred carrots, and tomato jam. The wine and drink offerings are similarly versatile. Our group of four went with caprese and focaccia al forno starters and then shared stuffed peppers parmesan, eggplant parmesan, sausage & clams, and baked ziti with meatballs, followed by a tiramisu trifle for dessert. We didn't have long to wait for the food - service here is attentive and efficient - and the caprese was beautifully plated. However, it could have benefitted from salt. Flavors in general were understated even in dishes that were otherwise well-composed and satisfying. The sausage & clams came with a delicious hunk of herby focaccia, which QB would do well to offer as a side. Tiramisu in trifle form (layered inside a mason jar) is a concept whose novelty exceeds its practicality. It tasted great (if you like mocha), but by the time we got to the bottom, everything was soggy. Quanto Basta's menu and décor are winners, but the food itself was a mixed bag. I wouldn't rule out a return here though it wouldn't be at the top of my list.

Google
Wendy from the bar area is on her wine game, ask what she has up her sleeve. Also great service. The food here is about 4 stars and service 5. Everything was great, sauces were done nicely and meatballs were spot on. The price was right and between service and price, we will be bringing the family back for a meal sometime.

Yelp
A Memorable Birthday Dinner at Quanto Basta For my birthday, my wife wanted to treat me to dinner and knew Italian food would be the perfect choice. We've both been wanting to try Quanto Basta for some time, so it was an easy decision. Fun fact: "Q.B." is a common abbreviation in Italian recipes--quanto basta--which means "as much as needed." It's a charming reminder that some things, like salt or olive oil (or maybe love and pasta), are best added to taste. We arrived right when they opened at 5 PM on a Saturday. Since we prefer to eat earlier than most, the timing worked well--and we had no trouble finding street parking. As we walked up, a staff member was lighting the gas lamps outside, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Inside, we were greeted immediately at the host stand and seated right away. They happily accommodated us with seats at the "Pizza Counter"--bar-style seating with a direct view of the pizza oven and prep station, which turned out to be perfect. Our server, Misty C., welcomed us with a big smile and a carafe of water. We browsed the beer and cocktail menus and decided to start with drinks. My wife ordered the Blue Lemon Drop Martini, while I went with the Mother Earth IPA. Misty was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to share her favorites when we asked for recommendations, which really helped us narrow down our choices. To start, we went all out with two appetizers--the Mozzarella Carroza and the Meatball Parmesan--and my wife added a small Caesar salad. The salad came out almost immediately, and both appetizers followed shortly after. Everything looked beautiful and tasted even better--crispy, rich, and full of flavor. For our entrées, my wife ordered the Shrimp Scampi Risotto, and I chose Nonna's Baked Ziti with Italian sausage. Each dish was delivered at a perfect pace--not rushed, but with very little downtime between courses. We savored every bite, and Misty continued to check on us with warmth and attentiveness. Midway through the meal, my wife also tried the Basil Berry Smash on Misty's recommendation and loved it. Even though we were full, we couldn't resist dessert and shared the Affogato Brownie topped with vanilla sorbet and cherries. It was the perfect sweet finish to a special night. We also had a conversation with one of the owners, Heidi, who welcomed us warmly and shared that Quanto Basta has been part of the Winston community for about 10 years. She and her husband also own nearby Springhouse--he was working there while she held down the fort at QB that evening. From start to finish, this was a five-star experience--the food, the atmosphere, the service--everything was fantastic. We left feeling full, happy, and inspired to make date nights like this a more regular tradition.

Yelp
We wanted to give Quanto Basta another shot. This was our second time coming for dinner. We were hoping it would be better this time. Our server, Jason was very nice and attentive. Our salads were very good. I ordered the house special, which was chicken. Pomodoro and my husband ordered a spicy shrimp pasta dish. Both of our pasta dishes were not very good. My Chicken was on the tough and dry side, and the sauce was lacking in flavor. My husband's sauce was very spicy, but again it was not what he expected. Ambience was quiet and tasteful. I just wish the food matched the atmosphere.

Yelp
We came in for a meal the four of us and we seated promptly. The service was pretty good and overall I felt the food was decent. In my opinion, I have had better Italian food. My pasta dish included chicken that tasted like canned chicken. While it was good, it didn't taste fresh. The Caesar salad was fine, but it didn't have any anchovies, unless they were included in the dressing, which I couldn't identify. The arancini were decent and flavorful. Although the others in my party raved about it, I still felt my pasta dish was just okay, particularly because of that canned chicken taste throughout the entire dish.

Yelp
So this place has really great ambience and our server was absolutely amazing. He was on top of everything. Did a great job. This would've been five star, however the food was not up to par. They were very accommodating in changing up some of the dishes. Me being the head chef of an authentic Neapolitan restaurant trained in Napoli, found the food overall to be mediocre at best. Not an Italian in the whole place. Nobody knew any Italian spoke any Italian when it came to the food it was a letdown.

Yelp
Found my new Italian restaurant! Beautiful inside with a great cozy ambiance and cool light fixtures. Food was impressive, especially for the price. I got the Bolognese and I wish it had a thicker red sauce but I still enjoyed it. Everyone loved their dishes and the service was great. Arancini we're perfect, almost like my mom used to make them. I tasted my husband's fettuccine and I definitely want to order that next time. So rich and creamy.

Yelp
Ten years later and Quanto Basta is still an amazing restaurant. The food is still delicious. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in town.

Yelp
I had the taste for shrimp Alfredo. I've never been to Quanto Basta. I made the right choice. Upon entry, the decor is very pleasing. It has a modern classy feel. I chose to sit at the bar, because I was dining alone. My bartender was attentive and very friendly. The pace of my food and service was top notch. My shrimp Alfredo was so creamy and delicious. I would eat here again. Actually, I can't wait to visit this restaurant again. Great service, food quality was amazing and the restaurant was very clean. This would be a perfect date night or a friends' outing.

Yelp
I've been here several times- this is a solid Italian staple in Ws. I've come for their wine Wednesday flight, half price bottle and $11 mini charcuterie board Thursday, and just because I've been in the mood for some tasty food and drinks! Service is good, friendly, and fast. It's a clean, bright, cozy place, plenty of regular and bar seating, and they offer standard fare of pizza/flatbread, pastas, and appetizers. They have a great espresso martini and the wine flights are always tasty and fun to experience. There's a room for reservation, but it requires a deposit and minimum. However, we had a group dinner here in the regular area to celebrate a birthday and it was a great time.

Yelp
Robert S was amazing! Me and my bf had to come in later in the evening for our anniversary dinner and he was still so positive with great recommendations and very kind.

Yelp
I really wanted to like it; it started out nicely with a lovely host & nice ambiance. Then it went downhill with a mediocre server. Most disappointing was the food. My $28 "crab" & shrimp pasta dish had exactly one tiny sliver of crab meat. The bolognese sauce on one of the entrees was not sauce at all. The Italian sausage was not worth eating by any of the four of us. Disappointing!

Yelp
Another delicious and relaxing visit to Quanto Basta. Cannoli with coffee was a great finish to a lovely meal. Friendly, professional and attentive service as always.

Yelp
We're back! We absolutely love this place. Do not order until you have heard about the specials. They will blow you away!! Quanto Basta has a nice relaxing vibe. I got the seafood special and my wife got the pumpkin ravioli special.

Bella U.

Yelp
Had dinner with friends here and had an overall great experience! I had a pasta dish with chicken, spinach, and mushrooms. And I got a sparkling mango lemonade. BOTH were Delicious!!!! My friends loved the spaghetti and meatballs which also come with a huge piece of bread and some bolognese pasta as well. Portions are perfect and the service was great. Definitely recommend if you want some yummy and not too expensive Italian food!!

Yelp
We had a great evening. Half off wine on Thursday and ordered the off menu skillet stuffed pizza. Wendy, the bar tender, was wonderful and Robert was delightful as well.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
We ordered takeout and tried a variety of dishes. The menu is authentic Italian style so dishes are not overly large and it is normal to order 1-2 items per person. The food was decent; not exceptional. The pasta was fresh and meat sauce was actually surprisingly meaty with very little tomato. The stuffed peppers were outstanding and highly recommended. The bread was sitting in the juices from the entrees which was a bit disappointing. Overall, this is a good place for eat-in. For take-out, request separation of all items.

Yelp
QB has always been great to enjoy. The food quality is top notch and consistently good. This is a great spot for a date even more so for the service and excellent atmosphere. I brought my sister here once from Atlanta and she felt so happy for the great treatment. The quality reminds me that I should make an effort to go even more often.

Yelp
I've passed by this place so many times and always said I was going to stop in. I love Italian food, so I decided to make this my birthday dinner. Since it was our first time, we asked our server Misty for her recommendations. We went with the Meatballs and Arancini di Riso for our appetizers, and for our meals, we chose the Beef Short Ribs and Shrimp Scampi Risotto. Everything was plated nicely and was full of flavor. Everything was so good that we shared it all. Even the free birthday cannoli they brought out. I'm looking forward to going back to try their pasta and pizzas.

Yelp
I had walked by this place many times after moving to Winston but never heard much about it. I should have gone sooner! After finally trying Quanto Basta I was impressed with the food, service, and ambiance! I tried the roasted chicken with spicy sautéed greens and it was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu!

Yelp
Our favorite Italian place in downtown Winston Salem. Thursday nights are 1/2 price off bottles of wine. Their wines are very reasonably priced and with 1/2 off, you pay just more than what it costs in the store. The food is remarkable. My favorite appetizers are the meatballs and the stuffed peppers (pictured). The charcuterie board is also pretty good (1/2 price on Thursdays). We had a short rib special (picture) with home made pasta and it was soooo delicious. The place is well set up with very cute seating and lighting. The covered patio area adds so much space and you almost always get to sit without a wait even when they are busy. The staff is always helpful and sweet. We love Misty and always ask for her when we go there.

Maria R.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Winston-Salem, located just outside the congested downtown and close to the West End. If you have a party of six or more they take reservations but we usually don't have a problem getting a table unless there is a big event in town. The food is always good and we've tried quite a few items on the menu. The pizzas, pasta dishes and salads are all delicious and reasonably priced for the portions. Our server tonight was Jason and he was just what you want in service: knowledgeable, attentive and most of all personable

Yelp
My husband came here for a date night dinner. I am a fan of their other restaurants so I was excited to try here. The ambience is very nice. They had things spaced out while so even on a busy Saturday you did not feel crowded. Our waitress was fabulous and as a whole, the staff was great. My husband and I decided to try several dishes and shared them. We started with the risotto balls. They were delicious. Next we split the pasta Bolognese. I enjoyed their fresh pasta and meaty sauce. It is more traditional, so it did not have a lot of tomato in it. Next, we split their pizza roll special. We had the vegetarian ones which were filled with spinach and goat cheese. The sauces served with it were also excellent. I would recommend ordering something from the pizza section of the menu. We ordered bread service without realizing it came with our pasta. If you do get the bread service, you get two pieces of homemade rosemary focaccia. It was fresh and delicious as well. For dessert, I ordered their butterscotch bundito. I love butterscotch and this dessert did not disappoint. I ordered one of their cocktails and really enjoyed it as well. We definitely plan on coming back and enjoying more delicious meals here.

Andrea A.

Yelp
Came across this place because it was down the street from our hotel and we wanted a quick bite to eat. Food, service and ambiance were all terrific. The tagliatelle tasted just like home, and the large piece of focaccia that came with it was the perfect accompaniment. Canoli was terrific, too, and the price is a steal (2 for $5!) I have two minor quibbles -- the caprese was only two pieces of tomato with mozzarella. So if you're expecting a decent size, pick something else. And the tiramisu was too runny. I will say the tiramisu presentation is beautiful. Just wish it tasted as good as it looked. I would definitely come here again!

Mauricio P.

Yelp
That they let you know before arriving to this place a charge will be applied if you bring in a cake for them to regrigerate it.

Yelp
My new favorite Italian restaurant in Winston Salem! Everything we had was top tier. The different flavors in each dish was so complex and savory. Our waitress was quite attentive and gave us some excellent suggestions. I got the braised short ribs with gnocchi. The sauce made out of wine was so delicious and went perfect with the fall apart short ribs. My friend got the shrimp scampi risotto and was some of the biggest tasty shrimp i have had. The pulled pork crab dip was so incredible i practically scraped the dish clean. The atmosphere is relaxing and with different seating option whether inside or outside. Large group or or very few. They open @5 and we got there shortly after. Will definitely be back!

Emma V.

Yelp
It was alright I guess. The place was pretty empty and it took a while to even get drinks. Appetisers didn't come out together. The salad was fine, but the presentation is dated. We had crab and pork belly dip, but there was almost no pork belly at all? You're going to charge $15 dollars for dip and not include one of the ingredients in the title? We also ordered arancini but it was lukewarm and not crispy as I was expecting for something that is supposed to be fried. Getting the main dish, the short ribs and gnocchi. The short ribs were not as tender as expected, and the sauce was overly sweet. I had to try to wipe the sauce off everything I ate. The cheese on gnocchi was heavy handed and just dense. It would've been better with a light sauce. Desserts were okay! One was overly sweet, the other was nice. Side note, the hours are bizarre. They're open for four days a week for four hours. That's wild. Overall it was fine. Overpriced and overblown, but fine. I'm not sure I would go back. I certainly would not volunteer this place if someone asked where to go out in Winston. And since they don't take reservations, it's absolutely not somewhere I would be willing to even wait five minutes for a table for if I was dragged there with friends.

Yelp
Another stellar wine dinner at Quanto! Loved the variations in the Mediterranean wine dinner , such great food and wine choices. Different wine pairings than usual which totally worked. My favorite being the grilled swordfish and risotto. Unbelievable. They give such great portions too that it's worth the money. $100. Great pours as well. Service is amazingly swift. Course by course. It's the best almost 3 hours spent eating and drinking. We had a great spritz from Spain, white from Greece. Red from Italy, Rosè from France another white from France and the best red from Portugal. Great cheese and meats from Spain, calamari, asparagus, swordfish, lamb chops and apricot blue cheese Creme brûlée . Flavor after flavor bombs with each. Well done chef and wine maker on this amazing event! Cannot wait for the South American dinner promised by the chef next !
google avatar

Bryon T.

Yelp
Very chic restaurant. Ambiance was very cool. Food was outstanding. Service was great. I started with an aperol spritz before switching to wine. I think this may be the drink of the summer for me! So good and refreshing. Zero complaints! I was split between getting the short rib and the eggplant so I took the server's recommendation of the short rib and I'm glad I did! Wow I'm still thinking about that meal.

Yelp
What's not to love. Location, ambiance, food, and cocktails all wonderful!! Top notch. One of my favorites!! (Get the bolognese )

Yelp
Quanto Basta : Holiday Inspiration wine dinner My favorite thing is good food enjoyed with good company. This dinner was so much fun and the food was to die for. This steak was so tender and every dish was exploding with flavor They paired each dish with a wine that complimented the flavors. Ty got double wine and felt pretty good by the end of the night Can't wait for the next wine dinner next year!

Yelp
Recently i went to Quanto Basta for my first ever wine dinner! Their "Summer in Italy" dinner was probably one of my favorite culinary experiences to date. A pairing made in heaven between the sommelier and chef at Quanto Basta brought the freshness of summer Italian flare paired with delicious, refreshing, full bodied wine together in a beautiful marriage and it was to die for. The service was also quick and efficient - no complaints whatsoever! Below was our menu: First course: Charcuterie plate paired with red bubbles Second course: Fritto Misto (scallop/shrimp/calamari) paired with white wine Third course: Seared sea scallop w/ caramelized cauliflower purée paired with white wine Fourth course: Braised pork cheek w/ sun dried cherry risotto, roasted San Marzano jus paired with red wine Fifth course: Grilled beef tenderloin w/ Gorgonzola polenta, grilled broccolini, smoked rosemary demi reduction paired with red wine Sixth Course: Guanciale s'mores paired with red bubbles I could go on and on about how delectable every bite/sip was but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I will say it was so good I'm trying to convince my husband to have dinner with me there there asap. I was begging him to take me to dinner there two days after the wine dinner! With the quaint but sophisticated atmosphere plus the flavorful Italian cuisine, I plan to make Quanto Basta a regular date night spot from this point forward - Bravo!

Valeria S.

Yelp
The service was great, our server was very friendly and he recommended us some stuff on the menu that we tried and I'm glad we did because it was good. Pizza was delicious, and the raviolis were very tasty.

Yelp
Wonderful little spot I've always passed by but never actually sat down to eat at. Always need a coffee item at dinner - and they had a selection to choose from with an additional biscotti to come with the coffee. Misty, our server, was fabulous and patient with us. One in our party had an allergy and Misty was on it to give us alternatives and suggestions and insight to the menu. Major props out for her because she made our experience wonderful. Tasty food, good portions, and wonderful natural lighting. Food came out quick, was delicious and nothing to complain about. Wonderful spot if you're craving non pretentious Italian food.
google avatar

Sherry M.

Yelp
Wow, this Italian restaurant is exactly what I think Italian food should smell and taste like. The freshly baked focica bread is to die for. I had the baked ziti with a side of meatballs, you can taste the combination of herbs and meat with a light tomato sauce that compliments but doesn't overwhelm My husband had the Italian sausage hoagie, it was tastefully crafted with peppers, onions and a light sauce served on ciabatta bread with a side of fries that came with a Parmesan aoli dipping sauce that was satisfyingly delicious. To end our meal we opted for cannoli, you are served two freshly filled cannolis with a crisp shell. Service and pricing was outstanding. We do not drink alcohol but they have and extensive wine and cocktail menu. The ice water is perfectly chilled and crisp. We will absolutely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Great Pizza... Ate there twice during furniture market ..... Service was good.... Wine was mostly Italian varietals....that is ok ... would have preferred more California wines....but full bar was a nice touch Regular fair for food ... very good though Will be back in 6 months... Ambiance was nice and casual

Karen B.

Yelp
The crab dip was excellent, nice atmosphere and 1/2 Price bottles of wine on Thursdays! Not too crowded so you could hear yourself speaking. Great service.

Yelp
Went early, 5:45, and we were able to snag a table for five. The decor is nice and gives that trendy feel. Our waitress was awesome, very knowledgeable about the menu and available options. The menu is not huge but adequate. Our group settled on the baked ziti with a meatball, shrimp scampi, a braised shank with mushrooms and risotto, and a caprese salad. Also had them split a Caesar salad for us. I wish I had gotten the whole thing. No picture we ate it too fast. Same with the caprese salad. They were that good. All the entrees were delicious as well. No desserts , no room. If you like Italian I recommend this place.

Yelp
Decided to return to QB. We have not been here since before COVID. The menu was simple but offered a good variety of choices. With a little help from our fabulous waiter, Troy, we narrowed our choices down. My Shrimp Bianca pizza was way BETTER than it sounds in the description! Lots of seafood and the the sauce is creamy. The topping is crunchy and really adds flavor. My Man chose the Chicken Marsala. The chicken was juicy and the Marsala sauce was thick and tasty. I saved my pizza crust just to steal a few dips in his sauce. Good stuff! Most Sincerely

Yelp
Great dinner at Quanto Basta for some very traditional Italian food. The tagliatelle I had was very tender and the bolognese was extra meaty and hearty. The orecchiette was very pleasant as well in its cream sauce. A nice and helpful feature were the suggested wine pairings. The only downfall is the Bread/oil wasn't complimentary (had to ask for oil & vinegar; bread came with the specific dish you order) and did not have the best beer selection (no IPA's either). They also offer pizza from a big wood fired pizza oven. This popular Italian restaurant has been in downtown Winston-Salem for quite some time now and has always left a good and full impression on me; literally 4 minute walking distance to Foothills Brewery & Food as they are both on 4th Street. The staff was friendly and made dinner enjoyable. Order: -Tagliatelle w/bucci's signature ragu bolognese, parmesan, red chili flakes (personal add-on) -Orecchiette w/broccoli, roasted red peppers, & garlic pesto cream sauce, Parmesan shavings COVID info: Masks required for staff & customers. Social distancing between tables/booths.

Went here with a large group of teens and parents and they were so great to accommodate us! Food was delicious- I had the short rib with gnocchi which were both tasty. Great food and service!

Yelp
We loved our dinner experience last night. The pizza, salad and pasta were exceptional. In addition to the quality of the meal, the customer service stood out as some of the best in the industry. Despite a busy night, the owner quickly sat us at the pizza bar where we witnessed how well the kitchen and staff worked together. It is obvious that the owner and managers have created a good culture at Quanto Basta where the team works hard with a smile on their face. This translated into great customer service on our end. Everyone who talked with us, including the owner, was a joy. Thanks for a great experience.

Yelp
Ambiance is very chic and cute. Food was A plus. Service was great. But it did feel a little like they are trying to rush you through your meal. For a place that offers a 5 course menu I wish we could have taken our time more. However, I will say everything we had was delicious and our server was kind and exact which I appreciate. We started with an aperol spritz and the arancini and focaccia. We were too hungry and dug into the arancini and focaccia immediately before we got a picture. The arancini was okay but the focaccia was delicious. For the main course we got a bottle of the red blend, and I got the fettuccini with chicken which was superb. My mom got the pepperoni pizza which was also excellent. My husband got the short rib- maybe the best entree on the table! My dad got the manicotti with sausage and wasn't a big fan of the sausage but loved the manicotti. The star of the show was the dessert we didn't need but we're so glad we got: the espresso gelato. I'm picky about gelato and this was top notch. Do yourself a favor and order this!

Yelp
We went here for dinner and I just have to speak up. My tagliatelle with bologanese was nothing short of hamburger helper. The noodles were fine and cooked well but the sauce was brown liquid with brown ground meat. Nothing else. No tomatoes or vegetables were included in the "Ragu." Another member of our party ordered chicken piccata and that was sliced grilled chicken over pasta with tomatoes and artichokes. If you're going to use traditional pasta names, I'd suggest to adjust the descriptions or change the names entirely. These dishes were beyond underwhelming to say the least. I've been to the Wilmington location twice and have also been severely underwhelmed. Service is always great as is the ambiance and decor. I hope this helps QB to improve!

Yelp
Beautiful place. We went in for cocktails and the cheese board and it was abundant and it had good variety. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Service was awesome. Patty did her best & deserves to work somewhere with better food. We waited an hour after arriving at 6:00. We checked the website & it read that no reservations were taken but then people walking in saying they had reservations made us ask the host (who was also doing his best & working hard) why the website said no reservations. He said he didnt know but reservations could be made by phone. It doesnt say this on the website. The Caesar salad was good & the crab & sausage dip was too but everything else was flat & tasteless. No one at the table took the massive amount of barely touched leftovers home. Olive Garden would be ur best alternate here.

Yelp
Ambiance in this place is modern and romantic. Very dimmed lights and not too loud. Service is quick and super friendly. We had conversations with several employees, all very kind and helpful. Food wasn't what I was expecting, it was disappointing and kind of bland for my taste and usual expectations for good Italian seasoning. Portions are fair but for the price I would've appreciated some kind of bread to be included in it. They have some affordable wine options. I had a small glass of white wine for $5 and they had other options for $4. Menu is short and simple, not with tons of pages. My experience was good but I had to shorten it, my husband and I were seated at the bar without even been asked. Eating a full meal in the bar was so uncomfortable for me, I just couldn't find a good position to eat without hitting my knees with the wall multiple times. Been this uncomfortable just made me wanna eat quick and get out of there. That's what we did. We didn't even check dessert menu all I wanted to do is leave that uncomfortable bar. The place is pretty and service ok, but food is lacking and I wouldn't let them sit me at the bar again.

Yelp
This place deserves 5 stars and maybe an extra one too. Quanto Basto brings their A game every night with a menu revolving around classic cooking with extraordinary techniques. Once the food was gone, all we wanted was more. If you're wondering what's for dinner when you are in Winston this should be it! CAPRESE- Tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, evil, basil ARANCINI DI RISO- Risotto filled with mozzarella and Parmesan served with San marzano tomato sauce CANNELLONI AL FORNO- Pasta sheet rolled and filled with chicken, spinach, mushrooms, Asiago cream sauce

Yelp
I randomly walked in here leaving another place (review to come) because I love a good wine bar.... Parking - street parking Service - Wendy was my bartender/server and she was amazing! She made excellent recommendations on the wine and a great dessert alternative since the cannolis were sold out. Drinks - there's an amazing menu for wine here! I'll definitely be back to try more. Tonight I had the Chiarli Lambrusco. Food- the Orecchiette was soooo good. If you're vegetarian this is an excellent dish. I'm pescatarian, so I added the sautéed shrimp to mine. So much flavor. Atmosphere- romantic good music and family friend ... is this possible?? LOL (the kids were at the pizza bar! (So cute) Overall - I recommend
