"Que Chevere is a small Puerto Rican stall tucked away in a nook at The Market Line (downstairs from Essex Market). If you’re having trouble finding this place, look for the neon blue man with a cane and a fedora. Some of the items like the moist pollo asado (marinated in a sofrito sauce for three days) with fall-off-the-bone meat and the tender pernil are so well-seasoned that they’re still great without any accompaniments. But the mofongo, pastelillos, and alcapurria really benefit from Que Chevere’s variety of sauces. (The thin green one has a serious kick.) The portions are huge, so come here when your stomach is so empty it’s starting to make unflattering noises." - Kenny Yang

I recently dined at a small Venezuelan restaurant on Main in Mesa, and it was a fantastic experience. I tried their version of horchata (chichi), which was delicious, and the plantains were equally great. We had a party of 17, and they accommodated us without any issues. Everyone ordered something different, and I’m happy to say there were no complaints about the food. Given the size of our group, the dishes came out relatively quickly, and I was impressed by the variety of authentic Venezuelan offerings. The only downside for me was the Malta drink; it was just okay. However, my family of six is already planning to return to sample more items, especially the chicha. Overall, a wonderful spot worth visiting! I would even stop by to get chicha as just a dessert on a date with my wife. Good stuff

This is a good restaurant in the middle of downtown Mesa. When I came, they were not busy. I ordered the sampler which was great. The food was very flavorful and overall really good.

This photo probably says it all but the food here is outstanding! Tequila selection is top notch and the service was great. Probably going again tonight. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Great food, friendly waiters who attended to us , nice ambience. The vegan arepa with fried beans and avocado was yum. I also tried a Panela (sugarcane juice with tamarind & lemon ) was a nice refresher . It’d have been great if there was a spicy sauce that they’d give on the side - to satiate my palate

Amazing food! 🙌 The service was great and the food came quickly! I got the Pabellón Criollo, and the flavor of everything was great. 👍 The beef was soft and delicious, the egg was nice and runny, the rice was cooked and seasoned nicely, and the beans were bold and flavorful 😋 I also got a Coca-Cola with that as well, and it's a great addition to the hearty meal :) Overall, you should check this place out if your hungry for some good food for a nice price!

This is one of my favorite restaurants! We eat here about once a week. I love the pabellon criollo and all of the empanadas! But I haven’t been disappointed in anything on the menu! On the weekends they have platter specials with ribs that is a fan favorite as well. Great selection of local and Venezuelan beers + awesome cocktails. and make sure to ask for the secret burger menu. The chupacabra burger is +++

Went there for the first time and even though we liked the food, we were not crazy about it. The service was slow, although our server was very nice. If I ever go back, I don't think I will be bringing my kids with me, it just doesn't feel like family friendly atmosphere, specially when you were sit right in front of the bar and there were some loud costumers clearly with too many drinks on them.
