Que Chevere Review - Lower East Side - New York - The Infatuation

"Que Chevere is a small Puerto Rican stall tucked away in a nook at The Market Line (downstairs from Essex Market). If you’re having trouble finding this place, look for the neon blue man with a cane and a fedora. Some of the items like the moist pollo asado (marinated in a sofrito sauce for three days) with fall-off-the-bone meat and the tender pernil are so well-seasoned that they’re still great without any accompaniments. But the mofongo, pastelillos, and alcapurria really benefit from Que Chevere’s variety of sauces. (The thin green one has a serious kick.) The portions are huge, so come here when your stomach is so empty it’s starting to make unflattering noises." - Kenny Yang

I have to say, Que Chevre truly lives up to its name—this place is goat-tier when it comes to Venezuelan cuisine! From the moment you walk in, the clean and welcoming space sets the stage for an incredible dining experience. The arepas are so perfectly cooked, you’ll be arepa-lenty satisfied. And the flavors? As authentic as abuela’s own kitchen—every dish is a pabellón of perfection. The service is equally impressive; the staff is friendly, attentive, and happy to answer any questions about the menu. And let’s not forget the atmosphere—it’s vibrant without being overpowering, making it the perfect spot for a cozy dinner or a casual outing with friends. And the drinks? Well, they’re just queso spectacular. Each cocktail is expertly crafted, delicious, and well-priced—no need to arepa-ly on your savings account to have a great night out. In short, Que Chevre is simply arepa-mazing. Do yourself a favor and give this spot a try—you’ll definitely be coming back for seconds!

This was my very first time trying an arepa, and I honestly don’t think I could have picked a better place to experience it. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming energy of the space stood out. It didn’t feel like just another restaurant—it felt more like being invited into someone’s home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and what really struck me was the genuine connection they seemed to have with the customers. You could hear people laughing, chatting comfortably with the employees, almost like they were longtime friends. That kind of atmosphere is rare and instantly made the experience even more enjoyable. As for the food—absolutely delicious. The arepa was perfectly made, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, packed with flavor and generous fillings. I also ordered a couple of side dishes, and everything was not only tasty but clearly made with care. The portions were more than satisfying, and you really get great value for the price. The location is also a plus—right in the heart of downtown, making it an ideal stop whether you’re exploring the area or looking for a casual, feel-good meal. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving something new and authentic.

Google
Good food, mild flavors, at a great location in Downtown Mesa. Venezuelan food isn't very spicy, so don't expect the heat. You can expect fresh ingredients and a large selection of traditional dishes to choose from. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is fantastic, and it's a great place to meet with friends.

Google
This is one of the few places that receives a 5/5 for me! I absolutely love the atmosphere and the staff are so kind and helpful. The food is beyond amazing, my only complaint is there isn't one closer to Surprise! I will be back as soon as possible

Google
This is a good restaurant in the middle of downtown Mesa. When I came, they were not busy. I ordered the sampler which was great. The food was very flavorful and overall really good.

Google
So yummy!! Me and my cousin enjoyed their burgers! Not bad on pricing. Average pricing as at any restaurant. More people need to come to downtown and try them!!!

Google
Amazing food and vibes! This is a MUST if you are in the area. I would highly recommend it. They even have a bar inside !

Google
We had such a great time at this place. The staff were super friendly and fun. We asked the bartender about the different Venezuelan rums to try a flight and she got the owner to come out to explain them. He was pad stand very knowledgeable and took the time to explain each one. All 5 of us had a great time and we will be back for sure!

Yelp
This is the only Venezuelan place I've ever tried. I'm surprised how different it was from Mexican food, although--duh-- that makes perfect sense since they're two completely different countries. This place isn't fancy, but it's nice enough. There is a really cool mural on one wall and on another The words Venezuela are spelled out in red, Blue, and yellow. There's a bar with bar stools and from the looks of it it's a pretty full bar. I didn't see a cocktail menu or drink menu, so I assume they'll make what you ask. Our server was very nice and you can tell he aimed to please. They serve arepas, which are kind of like a cross between a thick tortilla and a steamed bun. They're pretty heavy, but delicious. We all got the chicken arepa which has shredded chicken cooked with seasoning and perhaps peppers? They had mashed avocado on the arepa. It was served with fried plantains. It was all delicious! We've been here several times and each time I have loved it. I've had fried plantains at other places, but honestly I like these ones the best.

Yelp
If you haven't been to Qué Chevere in downtown Mesa yet, I'm going to kindly suggest you stop what you're doing and GO. We ordered the sampler plate - it was a whole fiesta on a platter. The tequeños? Golden, crispy cheese sticks of joy. The beef empanadas? A spiritual experience. The chicken empanadas are solid, but the beef deserves its own fan club. We shared everything family-style with our "taste-buddies" (aka two teen guys and tween girlie), and the portions were generous. Even with three human vacuums at the table, we had leftovers. Bless. The arepa pabellón brought it all home; fluffy, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. Shout-out to the staff: kind, helpful, and genuinely happy to walk you through the menu like the arepa angels they are. The vibe is casual, welcoming, and full of heart -exactly what you want from a spot serving Venezuelan comfort food this good. Great value, even better vibes. Will definitely be back- next time we're bringing reinforcements.

Yelp
Que Chevere is fantastic!! It's quite small so you may want to consider going outside of busy lunch hours. When we walked in we were quickly greeted and given an overview of the menu as it was our first time. We had never tried Venezuelan food, but had Que Chevere recommended multiple times. I ordered a spicy margarita and my husband had an old fashioned. My husband said his drink was okay, but my margarita was super delightful! I asked for it to be spicer my second round and it was perfect. For our meal I had the arepa pabellon and it was mind blowing with the amount of flavors I experienced! The corn pancake mixed with the seasoned shredded beef, black beans, cheese, and the cilantro creama was so good! Plus the fried plantain chips on the side were different but seriously yummy! My husband ordered the Que Chevere Pepito and said it was okay. There was a lot of ketchup and mayo on the top which overpowered any other flavors. He did say that the steak was cooked perfectly and he enjoyed the pieces of bacon as well. Overall we will definitely visit again when we're in Mesa!

Yelp
Came here after having a couple of beers at the brewery just a few buildings down. This place is amazing! A TRUE gem. The place is very welcoming and the staff are super friendly and very helpful when there is a need to get a better handle of the menu. This is traditional Venezuelan food, and it is absolutely delicious - and very well presented! We ordered several items and the empanadas were honestly my faves... but it was all really good. The place is not huge but a decent size, and thankfully not full of wall TVs which I think often detract from the ambience. There was only one TV and it was off! We had a couple of drinks including some of their higher end tequilas and I have to say it was a great evening all round. The food was incredible. With the increase in quality dining and beverage locations in DT Mesa, there are some great choices. This is definitely in the top of my list in Mesa!

Yelp
Friendly service, good came out quick. Tons of meat in the shredded beef arepa, plantain chips were super crispy and the green sauce drenched over the arepa added a nice spicy touch. The beef was seasoned well and the arepa itself was hearty. It was pretty quiet when I popped in around 11:50am for lunch.

Yelp
Good: food Bad the drinks never came out before we even got the food . Bartender wasn't slammed just going slower apparently than the cooks

Yelp
I kept hearing about this place and I'm so glad I finally went in to give it a try. Omg this food is so good! The arepas are to die for. The meat inside of them is so flavorful and that green sauce!! *drool* The drinks are also fabulous and great service. There's a good amount of seating inside and a nice dog-friendly patio in the front too. My first experience with Venezuelan food did not disappoint! I'm definitely going to come back to try the brunch options.

Yelp
Fast service and EXCELLENT food. Will definitely go to this food truck again. Loved the banana chips and the sautéed!bananas. The chicken was great too lol

Yelp
The empanadas are the best I've ever had. Outstanding. The plantains are excellent. The other two dishes were very good, if not great. One was similar to an enchilada while the other was meat and cheese inside of a big corn breakfast pancake. I must say, it's damn good pancake too. The meat quality is very good. Friendly service. We'll be back.

Yelp
Oh my gosh if you haven't been here yet - you're missing out! This place has got immaculate vibes and even tastier food. We sat outside since it was nice weather and our server was still attentive, which is something I get nervous of when sitting outside. We asked what he recommended and got what he suggested - all was incredible. My wraps was the perfect mix of sweet bread with savory meat and flavor inside. I LOVED it. Our drinks was so yummy too, we got a Paloma and a passion fruit margarita. Definitely will be back here again.

Yelp
After a week in Sedona, we spent 2 days in Mesa - and ate here both days! The Arepa is DELISH! Our server Bryan was super helpful with local recommendations and all around kind!

Yelp
Truly a hidden gem in Mesa! Stopped by yesterday with my bestie for some food and drinks. Very limited seating inside, so it can get crowded on the weekends. The wall art was very cool! We decided to sit at the bar, and I'm very glad we did. The bartender, Jared, was so friendly, and made us some amazing drinks! I really love that he strives to make you a great drink, and will ask what you like, so he can get it just right . We decided to let him surprise us with some drinks, and they did no disappoint. I did not catch the names of them all, but great drinks nonetheless. We ordered the ribs(only offered on Fridays and Saturdays), and we split the dirty burger with fries. The ribs were excellent, some of the best I've ever had! They served them with bbq and this delicious green salsa type sauce for dipping. The burger was so juicy and delicious as well. Fries were crispy and perfect! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
For November's International Supper Club UYE we headed out to Que Chevere. Que Chevere started out as a food truck and now a great addition to Main Street downtown Mesa. After checking out the menu I went with Pabellon Criollo. It was shredded beef, black beans with white Venezuelan cheese, white rice, fried plantains and a plain arepa, the perfect comfort meal on a cool night. Everything had great flavor. Been craving plantains and this hit the spot! Glad to have added Que Chevere to our ISCUYE list and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
The customer service is excellent In a party of 4 we were divided in the opinion of the flavor of the food. I think the black beans needed more flavor. The chicken and beef arepas were good. Good flavor The French fries were the best in my opinion. So i don't think i will be back for just french fries. My chifles...hmm...i can get yummy chifles at sprouts. Half of my party are regulars here. I love that is family owned and AGAIN. The service is excellent. I do hope this place continues to be supported by all of us. I just didn't like it a 5.

Yelp
I got the Pabellon Criollo, with shredded beef, sweet plantains, an arepare, black beans, and rice with guayacaca sauce on the side. Everything tasted great. I especially enjoyed the sauce on the shredded beef. The sauce is like a Venezuelan chimichuri sauce. The sweet plantains were very tasty, but the arepare tasted kind of bland. Maybe it would have been better with a sauce. The black beans were very tasty. The rice was cooked perfectly. The outdoor sign is high on the building, and hard to see from the north side of the street. I finally parked off of Pepper Street, in the parking garage in the large apartment building.

Yelp
Had an up and down experience at Que Chevere after hearing rave reviews from friends. (Including my wife's friend who said it was just like home! So take my review with a grain of salt) Service was sporadic and it was hard to get our order in and get things like a to go box and sauces. We also felt like we were getting upsold. Juice of the day ($4.50) - we got the guava, sugar cane, passion fruit and chicha (like horchata) and they were all really sweet. Like cloyingly so. I usually like my agua frescas but the Venezuelan versions here I couldn't finish. Sampler ($16) - had four fried tequenos filled with cheese as well as four arepas that you could pick and choose which flavor from beef, chicken and cheese. These were the highlight of our dinner and were delicious pieces of fried goodness. It was pretty heavy though as everything was fried and I would've liked more of the guasacaca sauce as they only gave us one and not ranch as that made it pretty heavy. (Even ketchup here would've been nice ) Cachapa ($11 plus $13 carne en vara upgrade) - this upsell here left a sour taste after. The waitress asked if we wanted the cachapa and then said people usually add a meat and asked if we wanted the special. Well the carne en vara upgrade totaled more than the cost of the dish! It was pretty good though quite heavy as it was fried maize, cheese and beef but not $25 good and I wish she told me how much it would be beforehand. It also didn't come with any avocado or salad so it felt like eating a pound of fried cheese and meat. Arepas ($13) - these hit the spot but alas came with ranch and guasacaca like all other dishes and a side of fried plantains. At this point having so much fried food and not much else was pretty hard to finish. The owner came by with some delicious ribs to sample that I would've gladly ordered but didn't see them on the menu. Pretty disappointing and for $85 before tax and tip for four not cheap. Maybe we ordered wrong and ordered the heavy stuff only? The papellon plate others ordered online looks way better. Wish I steered our crew to the delicious Taco Chiwas nearby instead.

Yelp
I had come into this spot due to DoorDash yesterday.(Was picking up an order) and I saw an old friend there and he invited me back when I got the chance and I went back tonight. (The next night after the invite) I had to check it out. He made me mock-tail and got some great food. I absolutely loved the drink. The people are great and the food was spectacular! So fresh and just so satisfying. I had driven all day in the Valley heat and this place was the best spot to complete it. The tables were full with people, laughter and just pretty good energy. Even as it was closing it was pretty nice and peaceful. Definitely gonna go back. But I had to leave this review because they deserve it. Go there check it out. Eat some food, get some drinks and kick back! I also love the area, more places to venture into.

Yelp
We love this place for their arepas! It does get busy so we have had to do take out. They have a nice selection of different arepas and other items and a bar available with lots of drink choices. There is a platter option but it 9nky comedy with a plain arepa. We tried a chicken arepa and a beef arepa. The beef one we choose had cooked plantains in it. Both were delicous and both came with plantain chips and a small sauce. Very filling and very tasty. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We had lunch here and were amazed by how good the food was. Everything tasted homemade and fresh. We had the tequenos as a starter and they were really good! If you like cheese, this is the appetizer for you. I had the shredded beef arepa with the plantain chips, my sister had the hamburger, my brother had the pabellon, and my mom had chicken arepa. The arepas were really good! Both the chicken and shredded beef were seasoned, and not dry. The plato pabellon was also good. It was a mixture of black beans, white rice, shredded beef, and an arepa. The portion was pretty big and enough to share. The hamburger was huge and this is definitely not your typical hamburger. Its super loaded and big. It had meat, chicken, cheese, tomato, lettuce, bacon, egg, ham, potato sticks, and avocado slices. Huge. Service was good and we were checked on several times. Definitely worth checking this place out! Both food and service were great!

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Arizona. Everything I've had--the arepas, the capachas, the tequenos--all delicious. It's a fun place with more seating than you'd expect, and the staff are all super nice. My favorite thing about this place may be the atmosphere though. Everyone is so HAPPY. Que Chevre makes food that makes people happy. The place is always filled with laughter and smiles. It feels good to spend time there. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
I can't say enough positives about this place. What a gem! The menu is Venezuelan based and everything I tried was super tasty. Known for their arepas, but the empanadas were also great. And I would have felt lame ordering a cheeseburger from here, except I was told by bartender Mike that they are super good and worth trying. So I took his advice and tried one of the off menu options. I was not disappointed! What will keep me coming back here for sure are the cocktails expertly crafted by Mike. It doesn't seem to matter what you ask him for, he will make you a delicious and well balance drink while you enjoy the Latin music playing.

Yelp
When it comes to work-related team activities, we always look to try new food places and Que Chevere was on my list for a few months... Glad we came!! We sat outside and started with the Sampler as most of the group hadn't tried Venezuelan food. It had Tequenos, Mini Empanadas, Mini Arepas with a great dipping side of Cilantro. When it came to lunch, I went with the Que Chevere Pepito... SO GOOD!!! The French Bread held up well with all the items & the steak was tender... the fries were hot & the Mango Margarita(s) were 'dyno-mite'. Would highly recommend as I luv what the downtown Mesa community has evolved into over the years. Nice selection of bar items and it matched the Food Truck Experience I had before with them. Great way to spend an afternoon in Downtown Mesa hitting up the shops and stopping by Que Chevere for lunch! Staff was really friendly and again, none of the food items disappointed for the entire team!!!

Melinda R.

Yelp
What a treasure! I don't know what took me so long to try this place, but I wish I had come in sooner. All of the tables were taken so we sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and helpful even when they were busy. I had a Paloma which was garnished beautifully with tajin on the rim, roselles, and a dried lime slice. We had tequenos, and arepas, and everything was delicious!
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
Que Chevere is a Venezuelan Restaurant in Mesa that also has a Food Truck that goes all over the valley. We tried the Food Truck at Food Truck Friday West in Glendale. The person working there was friendly and helpful. We shared a Venezuelan Chicken Salad & Avocado stuffed White Corn Arepa. WOW it's a game changer. It was so delicious! The chicken was tender, moist, and infused with delicious flavors and that white corn arepa made it all pop! Que Chevere is a great place or Food Truck to try!
google avatar

Bernadette M.

Yelp
Delicioso! First time trying their food and it didn't disappoint! I will def come back :) I called in first to place my order for pick up and that it would be ready in 20 min. The place is nicely decorated, there is inside and outside seating. I was greeted warmly and my food was ready when I arrived. Every table was full so that was a good sign! Arepa domino- stuffed with cheese and refried black beans. Nice flavor with a fluffy texture. Arepa pollo- the shredded chicken was good! Chacapa con queso mano- you can have shredded beef, chicken or ham added inside for an extra fee. I asked for shredded beef to this. It's like these corn pancakes filled with lots of cheese and then the beef. If you like sweet and savory you will like this! It was good, just so filling and heavy so I could only eat a quarter of it. Lols

Hannah B.

Yelp
Delish! Quick service during lunch hour and amazing Venezuelan food. I got the breakfast arepa and plantain chips. Clean bathroom as well.
google avatar

Jyrki P.

Yelp
Fantastic, small corner, that serves tasty venezuelan style dishes. The menu is limited to essential, but with high quality.
google avatar

Wayne C.

Yelp
I remember a spot called mi Arepa that sadly closed but Que Chevre (phonetically: K chevray) "How cool or great" is a great spot to get your Venezuelan food fix. If you have not tried a cornmeal arepa filled with cheese, you are missing out. Many might think they are dry without filling, but be sure to try the different sauces. Parking is the most difficult aspect of this Venezuelan delight. The service was friendly and helpful as I went with my Peruvian and Mexican friend who had not been here and asked for clarification en el español. The restaurant was light and airy, the pricepoint is fair, and I would definitely go back as the portions will fill you. This is un plato típico de Venezuela. - typical dish for you to try!
google avatar

Richard B.

Yelp
This place is so freaking good. The portions are huge, and the carne de vara pepito lives rent free in my head. The cocktails are a bit meh, but the prices are great. This is going on the date night rotation for sure.
google avatar

Michael F.

Yelp
Nice to see you new shops and restaurants popping up in downtown Mesa. I was here a few days ago, and got hungry after vintage store shopping. I've never had Venezuelan food before, and I had to try this place. I don't eat meat, so I opted to try the Vegan Arepa. stuffed with a delicious plant-based filling, made with black beans, and mashed avocado. It came with plantains and hot avocado dipping sauce. They're so filling and extremely flavorful. The menu is simple, and the staff was pleasant. A nice addition to the main street plaza.

Yelp
I got to try this place with my Venezuelan friend, otherwise I would not have known about this cute little place that has authentic food. Since I did not know anything about Venezuelan food, I ordered what my friend recommended for me. I apologize for not remembering the names of the dishes that I ordered since I came to this place a while ago, but I do remember the food and drinks being great. The drink I ordered tasted a little bit like an iced tea, not too overly sweet but definitely refreshing. The appetizer that we shared tasted like the bread of a hot dog but filled with stretchy cheese. Pairing with the dipping sauce, it was really good. The main dish that I ordered was one of their brunch items, and it was pretty good. I imagined the food would be a bit savory or strong, but it was actually pretty mild for me. What made me like this place was how friendly everyone was. I would want to bring my friends here and have them try out some authentic Venezuelan cuisines.

Yelp
What a great local business! Excellent service from the two women (think they were mom and daughter?) and great food. Come hungry and don't expect to eat lightly. The arepas look small, but they are deceptive. I loved everything we got, and recommend the sampler as well as a couple arepas. Their beef knocked my socks off. Also, the design on both walls is super cute. Only criticism was that the music was not Venezuelan! Appetizer sampler Arepa Pabellon Que Chevere Patacon Side of sweet plantains (because you can never have enough) Modelo beer

Seraphim S.

Yelp
I had never tried Venezuelan food before, so I had no idea what to order. The owners were very nice and helped me decide what to get. The food was delicious and it's a really cool place. I've been back several times now, and I'm going to be a regular customer from now on.

Heather D.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat and grab a drink. All Of their food is always delicious and they have a great variety of drinks. Server and bartender were great and everyone there always is very attentive.

Yelp
We yelped for lunch after visiting the history museum and found this place. We've never tried Venezuelan food so we were excited to try. The food was so good! I'm normally don't like black beans but they make it so flavorful and fluffy here. Even the rice was flavorful. Meat was tender and cooked to perfection. My kid ordered the kids cheese burger was more than impressed. It was huge, juicy and served with buttery brioche. Can't get better than this! Wished I had tried their cocktailS. They were so cheap and looked so good! Maybe next time. The gals who worked here were super friendly.

Yelp
Downtown Mesa is flourishing with new businesses! My coworker and I decided to check out Que Chevere for lunch. It was a Tuesday afternoon, around 12:30PM. We were warmly greeted by the waitress and instructed to seat ourselves. Almost all of the tables (7-8) were filled inside with additional seating in front of the restaurant. I decided to go with the Arepa Reina Pepiada ($11) which is one of their most popular items. Coworker ordered the carne mechada ($11). I'm probably going to be judged for making this comparison but think of the arepa reina pepiada as a Venezuelan chicken salad pita. The chicken and avocado portions were generous and delicious! I also enjoyed the dipping sauce it came with. The plantain chips were crispy and savory and tasted better when dipped. It was the perfect size for lunch and didn't leave me feeling stodgy or too full to return to work. Coworker enjoyed his carne mechada arepa which is shredded beef. He wasn't a big fan of the plantain chips and overlooked that they can be substituted for fries (or sweet plantains) for $1. Service was good, food was good; I'll definitely be returning!

Yelp
Great arepas and extremely friendly service. Lively feel good atmosphere. Green sauce for the tequeños is amazing

Yelp
Chicken was very well made and full of flavor, everything tasted fresh with great presentation. The service was also up there, extremely friendly and welcoming. Overall great vibes and music. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Randomly decided to try out a new cuisine over the weekend while visiting my siblings in AZ and stumbled upon Que Chevere through Instagram. Turned out to be such a great find! Venezuelan food is delicious! I highly, highly recommend the Arepa Pabellon. There was a big variety of ingredients in it and each bite was a burst of flavor! My siblings ordered the Arepa Reina Pepiada, which had cold shredded chicken and cilantro sauce mixed with avocado. We also ordered mini arepas and cachapa with queso mano. They were great additions to our meal. But we definitely had too much food for 3 people! Next time we would skip on the mini arepas just to make sure we have enough room in our stomachs to eat all of the good food! The ambience of this little restaurant is quite fun and chill. There were only 2 servers working at the time, they were handling the outdoor seating, indoor seating, and the bar. But our server was super nice and we were taken well care of! Expect a bit of a wait for your food to come out, I would recommend ordering everything at once. The wait is 100% worth it! I also ordered the juice of the day, they had 3 options, I chose a cane sugar and lemon juice. Unfortunately, it didn't suit my taste buds. So I asked to switch it out with fresh guava juice and they did it free of charge! Overall, Que Chevere is a great experience! If you haven't tried Venezuelan food before, then what are you waiting for??? This is the place to be!

Yelp
Just amazing!!!! Cocktails amazing! Hamburger SIIIICK AF!!! Bartender amazing!! No other words

Yelp
We ordered Que Chevere on Uber eats. Food was packed well, portions were huge and it was so delicious!! We will order again and again.

Yelp
This is the BEST hidden gem I have encountered in a really long time! My sister was visiting from out of state and we wanted to take her out for dinner for one of her last nights and found this Venezuelan restaurant through Yelp - and boy, did this place deliver! We had a really nice server - I believe her name is Denisa - who gave great recommendations based on our food preferences. One thing I will say is that the service was pretty slow but that's because they only had 2 servers between all the customers and the bar. The servers were also doing the bartending part, so I understand that. To start, I had the Guarapita drink and it was delicious! It's a tad sweet but super good for anyone who loves rum and has a sweet tooth - definitely recommend. My husband had Que Chèvre Margarita and he loved it. My sister actually ordered a drink called the Malta/Colita, which I believe is a Venezuelan drink but she didn't end up liking it and our server, Denisa, gladly brought her another drink and didn't charge for the first one, which was super nice. Food wise we may have ordered a bit too much because everything looked amazing - we had the Cachapa and Mini Arepas to start - these are perfect for sharing but also filling, so be aware of that. But super delicious! I liked the Cachapa the best :) For my main entree I had the Arepa Reina Pepiada, which was an arepa stuffed with chicken and avocado and though it looked small, it was soooo filling. I will say, I wish the arepa came stuffed with more things such as beans and cheese, but it was still delicious. My sister had the Arepa Pabellon and it was also super good. Lastly, the prices here are amazing - you get so much food for a really decent price. We paid less than $80 for 3 alcoholic drinks, 1 alcohol-free drink, 2 appetizers and 3 entrees. Definitely coming back here!

Yelp
My family and I went to the Mesa Arts Center for a musical performance and wanted to try a unique restaurant after the concert. The menu options were largely unfamiliar to us but we were up for an adventure. My son tried the Arepa Pabellon and quickly gave it 5 stars. The blend of flavors was unique and satisfying. I ordered the Sampler which included empanadas and taquenos (cheese sticks). The accompanying cilantro lime sauce was deliciously addicting. Five stars for me. My wife ordered Arepa Reina Pepiada. The chicken-avocado sandwich was flavorful but she would have liked it to include more sauce. Four stars for her. The service was slow (due to the high number of guests) but our server was very gracious and friendly. We especially appreciated that he gave us extra sauces to take home. Four stars for service. All in all, it was an enjoyable dining experience.

Yelp
The food is amazing and the service was great! I've been making my own arepas ever since checking this place out with my husband. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
Delicious! My husband and I come where often for brunch! I always get their perico plate, it comes with scrambled eggs (tomatoes and onions), avacado, black beans, and an arepa. It's delicious and their house margaritas is refreshing and tasty too!

Yelp
The food was spectacular. This was our first visit here, and we will absolutely be coming back. The server was top-notch, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Yelp
First time trying Venezuelan food and I got the sampler platter, chicha, and the arepa carne mechada. The sampler platter with the 4 empanadas were great, and the crust tasted amazing, however, the chicken version was quite dry. The chicha was not the greatest as the texture was really off. I also got multiple chunks which weren't that good The arepa I got, the meat was superb, but the size was small and quite oily.

Yelp
This is the place to go for unique, yummy, Venezuelan food. We always eat at their picnic benches outside, or take food to go, so I cannot speak to the inside dining experience. I can say that the waitresses are very friendly, and the food is fantastic. The arepas are reasonably priced, too. My favorite part of the meal is the plantain chips. I don't know what it is about the slightly salty flavor of the perfect crisp slices, but it is so satisfying! This is a restaurant we have gone to, and will probably continue to go to time and time again!
