This is a lovely setting and the staff are helpful and friendly, however the food I had was so disappointing. I ordered from the "Burger Shack" menu which is a separate outdoor kind of grill (?) area.
Anyway for some reason if you order from here your meal comes in a little cardboard tray even if you're sitting inside (why they can't put it on a plate like the rest of my group were served on I'm not sure). That wouldn't be so bad if what I received was palatable but unfortunately that wasn't the case.
The Hot Chick burger was basically a small burger, with an even smaller chunk of something resembling chicken inside, with a small side of barely warm curly fries. There was a tiny smattering of sauce in the burger and NOTHING else, no garnish, no onion, no sliver of lettuce. Granted the flavour of the chicken itself was nice, but there was no pazzaz, no flair, zero wow factor, this was like something you'd get at a funfair and a stingier portion at that.
This cost £16.50 on the special "deal", if you bought two meals from the shack menu, so normally it's more (the online menu prices are out of date). The other chap who I got the deal with returned his to the kitchen, who, to be fair, returned with freshly cooked curly fries and a new burger for him (I was hungry and had eaten most of mine). Oh and it came with two of the most miserly portions of ketchup and mayonnaise I've ever seen, like enough for about two chips.
Really, if you're supposed to be "The Best Pub Food in South West London" you can't get away with this sort of dismal offering.
And finally, although the staff were friendly, once we'd been served, we were kind of forgotten about, no "is everything ok?" Could be a great place, but needs tightening up.
