Handcrafted, locally sourced ice cream, plus coffee & baked goods, served in a cheerful storefront.
"Earlier this week, Atlanta-based ice cream company Queen of Cream closed its Poncey-Highland shop after one year at Plaza on Ponce, citing 'the devastating effects of Covid-19' on the retail side of the business." - Beth McKibben
"The flagship location of Queen of Cream closed last week after four years in the Old Fourth Ward, What Now Atlanta first reported. The ice cream shop, owned by pastry chef Cora Cotrim, opened on North Highland Avenue in August 2015. Cotrim calls the closure “bittersweet.” The ice cream shop has become a neighborhood staple, but with winter approaching and the lease ending in March, Cotrim says it was “time to close.”" - Beth McKibben
"Queen of Cream, just down the street from breakfast hot spot Highland Bakery in the Old Fourth Ward, serves freshly-made, from-scratch ice cream daily. Try the lavender honeycomb, the cold brew coffee with cocoa nib crunch, or the Tahitian vanilla. The shop offers seasonal flavors like carrot cake as well as vegan options such as the black pearl with vegan coconut ice cream, coconut ash, and chocolate." - Beth McKibben
