This place certainly gives me chic/hipster vibes. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. The food was delicious and filling. The portions were generous too. The biscuits were my favorite! So delicious and warm and the cinnamon spread with the blueberry was very tasty. I will be a returning customer whenever in the area!

I had this place on my "to-visit" list for a long time and i went today -it didn't disappoint at all. First, the hostess was extremely helpful and kind, took our names and put us on a waiting list. We went for a walk and they messaged us that the table is ready. Usually other places make you wait outside and I am glad this one didn't The waitress was the sweetest lady and at one point the owner (female-led business!!!!) came and asked if I needed something. The food was sooo yummy. We had Shak-shuka , hash browns, and house made biscuits (which were to-die-for). The atmosphere is so cozy and vibrant. I love the black couch and the mirror gallery wall. Can't wait to go again.

Came for Sunday brunch and made a reservation in advance which I’m glad I did. It was busy and for a good reason! The food was so delicious and the service was impeccable. We didn’t feel rushed at all and had plenty of time to sit and chat at our table. Will definitely be back again!

I was so excited to try out this restaurant and the expectations were met. Our server Dounia(apologize if the spelling isn’t correct) was so warm and accommodating as soon as we arrived. She recommended the biscuits which they make from scratch and you can tell! Homemade garlic butter and blueberry jam for the win. I had the Spinach Benedict on toasties with a lovely side salad. It was perfect and full of flavor. My friend has the potato hash with bacon and feta and was also very pleased. Great cold brew and lattes, we will definitely be back and spread the word. Can’t wait to try dinner next time. Thank you!

Amazing service and food. Honestly some of the best pancakes jn NYC

Ambiance (4/5): The venue was decked out in festive decorations for the holidays. It is dark inside with loud music on in the back. There’s a few dining tables toward the front and along the bar but it was crowded with guests. We ventured in the back where there was an assortment of dining with booths and tables so we seated ourselves. Service (4/5): We already knew our orders and placed them as soon as we were seated. We found it difficult to get service with only 1 wait staff but luckily we didn’t need much attention during the meal. We told the server that the dishes were going to be split and they kindly cut everything and split the dishes for us! Food (3/5): French Onion Soup (no rating): I don’t usually order this so I have no comparison to if it’s good or not. My boyfriend said it was not good. I enjoyed the gruyere cheese on top but wasn’t a huge fan of the soup. QR Burger (3/5): The burger was cooked medium-rare as we had requested! The bbq sauce and caramelized onion gave the burger an extra taste boost however it also made the buns extremely soggy so the burger was difficult to eat. I asked for

Loved the latte and the art! Benedict was amazing! Great for two people but it is pricey

4/7/23 has not been here for 3 years. Had lunch and celebrated birthdays with friends. I loved the food, service, ambience, decor, music. But most most of all Jackie made our our visit most memorable and amazing. And I must commend the other waitress (sorry did not get her name) for her service too! Must recommend and return!!!

Yelp
Queensroom is a local eatery that truly embodies the spirit of community involvement. The menu offers a variety of classic American dishes, from hearty burgers and crispy fries to comforting pasta dishes . I have been dining here for years and they have catered a few of my events the food is also delicious--well-prepared and generously portioned. It's clear that the chefs take pride in their cooking. What sets queensroom apart is its commitment to the community. They often host local events, support nearby farmers by sourcing ingredients locally, and actively participate in charity initiatives. It's evident that they care not just about serving good food, but also about making a positive impact in the neighborhood. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for families and friends looking to enjoy a meal together. Overall, I would recommend queensroom to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming environment that values community engagement. It's a solid choice for both locals and visitors alike.

Yelp
I don't know why it has taken me so long to share my thoughts on Queens Room. This place is a gem! A hop, skip and a jump away from home. The food is amazing. My favorite has always been the shakshuka, though the dish itself seems to have decreased in portion size as of late. Regardless, I'll still order because it is that damn good. Tomato, hummus, feta, poached eggs that you can sop up with a side of pita. You cannot go wrong the Scrambo Sando. Another fave. Eggs, scallions, cream cheese. Pickled red onion, Swiss cheese....all on a delectable sweet brioche bun. SO SO good. I try to get their French Onion soup every time. So delicious and warming for the soul. Avocado toast on point. Much better than their Harvest toast which is good but needs to be accompanied by something else, I think. Not as robust as the avocado, though it is considered a "small plate". Halloumi fries on a bed of delicious tzatIki. Outstanding. Quaint seating. Love the vibe especially in the back corner. Drinks are always on point. Service is attentive and friendly! I can't say enough GREAT things. Get yourself over there. Credit cards accepted. FUN times to be had. Some pics from recent visits have been posted. I have a bunch I intend on adding.

Yelp
Food is constantly great!! Service is excellent and the ambiance fits my lifestyle!! I highly recommend a visit!

Yelp
I came on yelp and searched for pancakes and came across this great place and said why not. Omg this food was mouth watering and so filling. They did not disappoint from seating to ordering and decor. The staff greeted us upon entering and we were seated immediately and our order was taken. The food was amazing and plentiful, I could not finish it all that I needed to take the remaining home. The prices were pretty fair that I would definitely revisit again. The customer service would make you come back as well. We definitely enjoyed ourselves for breakfast.

Karen O.

Yelp
I came here last night for Halloween drinks with a friend. The decor is really cute. Loved the velvet seating on the barstools. The bartenders were nice and greeted us upon seating. The cocktail menu gave you a little bit of everything but also had some twists. The bartender was patient as I couldn't figure out what to order. I finally choose the oh my gourd for my first round. It's fall season in a cup and delicious. After sitting for a while and smelling the aroma of coffee, I asked to add a shot of espresso to my next round, the campfire martini(graham cracker infused vodka count me in !). The drink even came with a toasted marshmallow garnish! The music selection was decent. It was loud enough to be heard but not overwhelming that you can't have a conversation. Really enjoyed my time here. Didn't try food but from this initial impression I will definitely be back .

Amani C.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Queen's Room for breakfast. We were greeted by a very friendly server and got to pick our table. We got the halloumi fries and scrambo sando! I really enjoyed our meal and service was great!

Marilu S.

Yelp
amazing tasty brunch! The biscuit BEC tasted so fresh and the side kale salad as well. I recommend this restaurant

Mel W.

Yelp
All parties like their food. Service was very good, attentive but not pushy. Ambiance was light and comfortable, and the music wasn't blaring!

Kristie P.

Yelp
Had a very quick breakfast here on Monday. I ordered the scrambled egg sandwich, which has scallions, pickled onions, and was absolutely delicious. We also shared the biscuits, I wouldn't exactly consider them biscuits but they were very good. Good chai, and good service.

Brenda V.

Yelp
"Had the shakshuka with chicken sausage, and it was just okay. The sauce had decent flavor but was missing a little depth but wasn't your authentic shakshuka. The chicken sausage was over cooked could finish it. Not bad, but nothing to rave about. Service was nice and ambiance was very nice.

Sevon B.

Yelp
Wanted to treat myself to brunch so I headed to Queens Room in Astoria. The ambiance was laid back and service was great. I started with a caramel cappuccino and decided to get the biscuits with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. The biscuits came with a blueberry compote and a honey butter that had cinnamon incorporated into it. The combination of the compote and butter was divine. For me the sausage was a bit salty but everyone's palate varies. Overall the experience at Queens Room was good.

Brian L.

Yelp
Unsure why this place gets such high marks. It's honestly just average. Spicy Mary not spicy. Not much of anything. Vanilla chai way too sweet. Kale Caesar good but didn't see a speck of anchovies and heavily dressed Avocado toast was good Pancakes were just like diner style Liked it but wasn't a oh I'm gonna come back again type experience Servers were cool though.

Christofili C.

Yelp
I was only in the establishment for about 20 minutes due to having a dinner reservation across the street. However, in those 20 minutes the staff made me feel so valued! I had requested a "mocktail" as I was not drinking alcohol; they didn't have many options on the menu but were willing to show their creativity and hospitality on the spot (and it was delicious)! This place has a beautiful speakeasy ambiance in the night time. It was very nicely decorated and I wish I would have spent more time here. * Cocktails and "mocktails" = 10/10 and they let us take our drinks in coffee to-go cups to our dinner reservation spot. * Apps were tasty!

Kevin L.

Yelp
Many places to eat in Astoria but this place is just average. Outdoor seating is available. Happy Hour is available but then again the bars up and down Ditmars Blvd offers Happy Hour. Craft beers on taps. What annoyed me was my IPA beer was not that cold. We were a party of four. The service was excellent. Three of us ordered burgers and one person ordered a chicken sandwich. All the sandwiches came with French fries. The sandwiches were big but lacking in flavor. A little salt and pepper would have improved the sandwiches. The buns were not toasted but cold. The fries were good. If I was hungry and had an urge for a burger I go somewhere else. A lot of places in Astoria.

Francely C.

Yelp
My family & I LOVE this place. From our favorite server Jackie,to the always welcoming owner, Antonia. We love their food, hospitality and disco balls.

Mae A.

Yelp
Last Saturday, my family and I enjoyed a delightful brunch. We kicked things off with their famous biscuits, accompanied by cinnamon butter and berries compote The Bloody Marys were deliciously spicy, adding the perfect kick. I opted for the burger, while the rest of the group chose various egg dishes from the menu

Karen N.

Yelp
Stopped in for a drink while we were waiting for a dinner reservation at another establishment. The bartender was very attentive and offered suggestions. I tried the Dicken's Cider. A mix of cider and run served warm and very good. My daughter tried the Owl's Brew Boozy tea. I tried it and definitely would order it. The hint of hibiscus was pleasant surprise.

Yelp
Went for brunch Suggest reservations place was full. Food was delicious I had the biscuits and gravy with an egg. Friends had the burgers and enjoyed them very much Friendly staff server was fast and didn't rush us. It's has a real nice old fashioned pub atmosphere but not much of a bar area. Will definitely check out dinner soon

Stephanie Z.

Yelp
Really good and inexpensive coffee place, I always sit at the bar. The place is always packed on weekend mornings. It's a good place to sit and work for a few hours as well, the servers don't hover.

Lisa H.

Yelp
When you step inside Queen's Room, you're taken by the charming space which offers marble tables, black booth seating, and antique-y mirrors. The establishment itself also has a sweet story in that the owner's ancestors emigrated from Cyprus and lived in the same building!  Making a reservation for brunch is advised; Queen's Room is on OpenTable. A party of 3 showed up right up before us and were informed it'd be an hour wait. Our server was outgoing and checked on us regularly. I ordered the popular shakshuka ($19) with bacon ($2 extra). While I wish there were more feta crumbles, the dish came with a boatload of pita triangles and didn't leave me hungry after. The sauce had a kick to it. Researching the ras el hanut/hanout spice blend mentioned on the menu, I learned it means "head of the shop" in Arabic and is a mix of various spices such as chili peppers, cinnamon, and paprika.  We also shared the basket o' biscuits as a starter. You should do this too. The menu states 2 biscuits for $6 but they can scale up accordingly. The spinach Benedict ($18) and chicken and not waffles ($19) also were warmly received. A royal brunch for sure!

Pasta Puglia (3/5): The orecchiette pasta was cooked al dente and liked the creaminess of the white wine aleppo pepper and parmesan. The broccolini turned out to only be the ends. The dish wasn't a great

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Great ambiance. Great food and drink choices. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
The best shakshuka I ever had.. a combination of spicy tomato sauce and a flavorful bed of hummus. Everyone enjoyed their meals . My husband had the not chicken and waffles .. served with pancakes. The chicken was well prepared with a crispy coat covered in hot honey. We all stole some fries from my nieces plate. Our waitress Jackie was very friendly and offered helpful hints on where to shop on the street for best baked goods. Wish I didn't live so far .

Jessica L.

Yelp
Came here for a girls brunch. Was expecting great food based on reviews. Was very disappointed. The best thing here was the biscuit. Service was good. But food is not. Will not come back.

Diane L.

Yelp
Food and service great but music too loud. Came with a date and was hard to talk and hear each other. Aside from that, this place was great. Ordered the mussels, brussel sprouts, French onion soup, and halloumi fries. Everything was delicious. The halloumi was actual sticks of cheese that were fried and served on a bed of tzatziki. Salty, cheesy, Delicious. Got these few dishes to share. Service is quick. Happy hour specials $10. Creative cocktails. I never drink, but decided to try the Rosy Cheeks, a refreshing grapefruit one. It was good. Overall a good experience.

Catherine S.

Yelp
Very romantic and cute restaurant. I love all their pasta dishes. Perfect for a date night or eating solo. Entrees aren't huge but fair for the price. Very yummy food!

Wendy Y.

Yelp
Astoria has many great brunch spots but Queens Room is still one of the standouts. The moment we stepped in, we fell in love with the modern parlor decor. The space may be small, but the tables are thoughtfully placed in a way to minimize crowding and maximize comfort. One glance at nearby tables told me that the Chubby Chicken Sandwich and the Shakshuka were popular, but I had my heart set on some pancakes and fried chicken, so the Chicken and Not Waffles was the perfect choice. I love that they decided to swap out the waffles for pancakes because my hot take is that pancakes are better than waffles. Our meal was completed with a side order of hand cut fries. Food came in a timely manner and we dug in with gusto. I was surprised to find that my dish was AMAZING. I love that they used a chicken thigh cutlet that was thinly sliced, juicy, and dripping with the flavor of savory/sweet honey. My pancakes were topped with some honey butter that gave the fluffy cakes an even richer flavor. These were the types of pancakes that dreams are made of. The portion size was perfect for satisfying my appetite. In between bites, we munched on thick cut fries as well. Staff were so attentive and friendly throughout our visit, and get bonus points for keeping the restroom in a polished state. Come to Queens Room to dine like queens and kings.

Sara A.

Yelp
Cute brunch spot! Very kind, helpful staff. I really enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere. Will return.

Harvey M.

Yelp
The ambiance was so calm, especially on a nice night out. The food was perfect and honestly I would rate this place 5 stars cause the staff is friendly and nice!

Matthew W.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and feels like a neighborhood staple. Great value for what you're paying for!

Angie O.

Yelp
Went in after having brunch. Didn't get any food only drinks. Inside is very esthetically pleasing. Bathrooms were clean. The drinks were good service was ok. Wish they were a little more friendly and interactive. Besides that everything else was great, we had a good time.

Chris A.

Yelp
This is quite a cozy and relaxing establishment. Although the tables can be located close to one another, it is actually not bad because you can have a decent conversation without loud music blasting , like some restaurants. I also prefer a brunch menu that has basic offerings and some cool curated items . And overwhelming menu could be hard to choose from! The Queen's Room hits the mark on the menu from their drinks , to their starters and main dishes. My dining partner went with Croissant-which with a side salad . She requested the egg to be runny and she was taken care of. I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict with salmon, nestled with a hash brown patty . It also comes with a side salad. We had a hot toddy, which was perfect for a cold winter day. I would definitely return to the Queen's Room , not only for the delicious food, but for the stellar service.

Denise G.

Yelp
I really love their lattes, and the seasonal flavors that they also offer for drinks during the fall. The Freddo cappuccino is also really good. For breakfast, the eggs Benedict with lox are great and so is the croissant. My favorite side is their biscuits with jam! I have yet to try their lunch or dinner yet, as I usually go to Queen's Room for a coffee or brunch.

Lisa e.

Yelp
I've been a patron of Queen's Room since they first opened, and after yet another recent stellar time there, felt the need to write another, more current review. Queen's Room is consistently great, and that's no small feat, year after year. The decor is wonderful, the food and cocktails are consistently great, and the staff....well the staff really make the place. Everyone who works there is warm, attentive, personable. Not to mention the owner, Antonia, who is very hands-on, and who has an amazing energy and personality. I have a terrific experience whether I come here alone, with a friend, or with a small group. If there were any one establishment in the Ditmars area that were to personify 'community', it's Queens Room. The more often you go to Queens Room, the more you feel you are an integral part of their 'family' vibe. And I really can't say that about any other spot on Ditmars. ;-)

JiHae L.

Yelp
Came here with my friends for the royal brunch. I must say that service was a bit off, and they would forget things easily once asked. I ask for condiments, and that comes much later. When I make eye contact, the server is like, "Oh yea," and comes back with the things asked for, such as bacon on the side which came out much later. I ordered the loaded potato hash, and it was just alright. The portion size was good, but it needed some salt, pepper, and other seasonings. Got the Applewood smoked bacon, and at least this had flavoring. So, I'm not sure if I would ever return, granted there are so many places to eat in the area and with mediocre service, I'm very skeptical of taking my time out to go here again.

Alyssa C.

Yelp
I love this place! It does everything well. This is a great place to bring your laptop and sip on a cup of coffee, meet friends for brunch or go on a date. This place is a staple when I have friends visiting

Kellianne H.

Yelp
Love this place! Great neighborhood spot where you're always treated like family. The service is always great, the food delicious and the drinks even better. Small town charm in the big city. Their menu is ways changing and in the summer they have chairs they set up in the street for the "open streets program". If you're looking for a local spot where the staff will remember you by name this is the place. If you're on the go, and don't want to sit and enjoy the free Wi-Fi/make a morning at Queen's Room, grab a coffee to go. My god, the caffeine in each shot is life changing. It's super fuel. One cup of their cold brew or and iced americano, and you'll be set for hours...be ready for some bold flavor. The baristas are always prompt and have octopus arms getting all the drinks ready.

S R.

Yelp
How this place is not packed, I have no idea. The food here is soooo good. We had the cucumber melon salad (which was to die for - so well spiced and flavored!), and the Chubby Chicken sandwich with fries, which was utter perfection. The sandwich rivals and overtakes Comfortland imo.

Kate D.

Yelp
Yummy food! Great service! Good music and general vibe. Cute place Wheelchair Accessible bathroom! Drink menu is made up of cocktails you can't find anywhere else!

Andrea T.

Yelp
The food was at best mediocre. Somehow they manage to burn one part of a slice of bacon, have an undercooked portion an inch or two from there and have nicely a cooked part next to it. All on the same piece. I asked for some salt (which was 3' feet from my server) and didn't get it until my food was totally cold. The ambiance would be good, if I didn't have a chance to notice that so many things were not clean.

Karen S.

Yelp
Lovely little gem in Astoria serving delicious selection of food and cocktails. Staff are super friendly and attentive. They have indoor and outdoor seating each with their own charms. Drinks were great and appetizers really well seasoned. Worth a visit to catchup with friends!

Celest W.

Yelp
We went on Thanksgiving and all 3 of us thought it was wonderful. Two of us had their Thanksgiving dinner, and the third person in our party had salmon & halloumi fries. The ambiance was great--not too noisy, and the service very attentive and courteous. The food was really impressive: the brussels sprouts were nicely charred, tender, and tasty, and the stuffing was nicely browned too. The turkey & gravy were great. Halloumi fries had a wonderful sauce. I had the cheesecake, which was fantastic! The pumpkin pie slices were tasty, though a bit small. I sort of like pumpkin pie thin and small, but if you want a big fat juicy wedge, you may be disappointed. But overall, we are eager to go back and try their food on a regular day!

Peter J.

Yelp
I come here all the time for their esspreso Martini . I found this place with my girlfriend and she Always prefers the tequila option while I get the vodka ( I know unique breed, but I love her) Staff is extremely accommodating to your needs and willling to customize. Highly recommend the espresso martini but we also had several other cocktails on the menu that were all great!

Craig H.

Yelp
Not a bad spot. Menu is too big. But we enjoyed what we had. Would like to come back and try more. Service was really good. Sitting outside was nice in this weather.

Lauren K.

Yelp
Queens Room is my favorite place on earth. As a 10 year Astoria resident, this is my second home. The staff is nothing short of incredible, as are the food and drinks. The espresso martinis are THE ACTUAL BEST. The espresso they use is unmatched. I am a coffee snob and I keep coming back for more and will never stop. You are doing yourself a disservice if you dot come here for either drinks and/or drinks and dinner. Thank you QUEENS ROOM!!!!

Jason H.

Yelp
Best food in Astoria. Love the ambiance and the drinks are superb. The service is also great and I will definitely be coming back for more the next time I visit.

Stephany R.

Yelp
We stopped by for drinks with my s/o. Staff extremely friendly and attentive, they made sure we were all set. our drinks took super long to get to us so we really only had a chance to have the one the food smelled amazing will give this place another try soon to try the food.

Eden H.

Yelp
I went for Sunday brunch to Queens Room. The service was quick and the food and drinks came out in a timely matter. Everything was very tasty. I ordered the breakfast croisandwich which came with a side salad. Would definitely recommend!

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Queen's room offers great vegan options and I'm not even vegan. My friend has the hummus plate, she could not even finish it. I had a crossiant-wich (which comes with bacon) and the beyond burger and both dishes are hearty so you will get full. They have some dishes with meat so no one is excluded. I'm a fan of their iced coffee. The staff is attentive and very kind. They have outdoor seating if you prefer. I like coming here for brunch. Looking forward to coming here many more times!
